47. Arafahدُعاء عرفہ

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Praise belongs to God, Lord of the worlds! O God, to Thee belongs praise! Originator of the heavens and the earth! Possessor of majesty and munificence! Lord of lords! Object of worship of every worshiper! Creator of every creature! Inheritor of all things! There is nothing like Him, knowledge of nothing escapes Him, He encompasses everything, and He is watchful over everything.

سب تعریف اس اللہ کے لئے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے۔ بارالہا! تیرے ہی لئے تمام تعریفیں ہیں۔ اے آسمان و زمین کے پیدا کرنے والے! اے بزرگی واعزاز والے! اے پالنے والوں کے پالنے والے! اے ہر پرستار کے معبود! اے ہر مخلوق کے خالق اور ہرچیز کے مالک و وارث۔ اس کے مثل کوئی چیز نہیں ہے اور نہ کوئی چیز اس کے علم سے پوشیدہ ہے۔ وہ ہر چیز پر حاوی ہے اور ہرشے پر نگران ہے۔

Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the Unique, the Alone, the Single, the Isolated. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the Generous, the Generously Bestowing, the All-mighty, the Mightily Exalted, the Magnificent, the Magnificently Magnified. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the All-high, the Sublimely High, the Strong in prowess.

تو ہی وہ اللہ ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں. جو ایک اکیلا یکتا ویگانہ ہے اورتو ہی وہ اللہ ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں جو بخشنے والا اورانتہائی بخشنے والا، عظمت والا اور انتہائی عظمت والا، اوربڑا اور انتہائی بڑا ہے اور تو ہی وہ اللہ ہے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو بلند وبرتر اوربڑی قوت وتدبیروالا ہے

Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate, the All-knowing, the All-wise. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the All-hearing, the All-seeing, the Eternal, the All-aware. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the Generous, the Most Generous, the Everlasting, the Most Everlasting. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the First before everyone, the Last after every number.

اورتو ہی وہ اللہ ہے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، جو فیض رساں، مہربان اور علم وحکمت والا ہے اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں جو سننے والا، دیکھنے والا، قدیم و ازلی اور ہر چیز سے آگاہ ہے۔ اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں جو کریم اور سب سے بڑھ کر کریم اور دائم وجاوید ہے اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ جو ہر شے سے پہلے اور ہر شمار میں آنے والی شے کے بعد ہے۔

Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, the Close in His highness, the High in His closeness. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, Possessor of radiance and glory, magnificence and praise. Thou art God, there is no god but Thou, Thou hast brought forth the things without root, formed what Thou hast formed without exemplar, and originated the originated things without imitation.

اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں جو (کائنات کے دسترس سے) بالا ہونے کے باوجود نزدیک اور نزدیک ہونے کے باوجود (فہم وادراک سے) بلند ہے۔اور تو ہی وہ معبود ہے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو جمال وبزرگی اور عظمت وستائش والا ہے اور تو ہی وہ اللہ ہے کہ تیرے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں، جس نے بغیر مواد کے تمام چیزوں کو پیدا کیا اوربغیر کسی نمونہ و مثال کے صورتوں کی نقش آرائی کی اور بغیر کسی کی پیروی کئے موجودات کو خلعت وجود بخشا۔

It is Thou who hast ordained each thing with an ordination, eased each thing with an easing, and governed everything below Thyself with a governing. It is Thou whom no associate helps with Thy creation and no vizier aids in Thy command. Thou hast no witness and no equal. It is Thou who willed, and what Thou willed was unfailing, who decreed, and what Thou decreed was just, who decided, and what Thou decided was fair.

تو ہی وہ ہے جس نے ہر چیز کا اندازہ ٹھہرایا ہے اورہر چیز کو اس کے وظائف کی انجام دہی پر آمادہ کیا ہے اور کائنات عالم میں سے ہر چیز کی تدبیر و کارسازی کی ہے تو وہ ہے کہ آفرینش عالم میں کسی شریک کار نے تیرا ہاتھ نہیں بٹایا اورنہ کسی معاون نے تیرے کام میں تجھے مدد دی ہے اورنہ کوئی تیرا دیکھنے والا اور نہ کوئی تیرا مثل ونظیر تھا اور تو نے جو ارادہ کیا وہ حتمی ولازمی اور فیصلہ کیا وہ عدل کے تقاضوں کے عین مطابق اور جو حکم دیا وہ انصاف پر مبنی تھا۔

It is Thou whom place does not contain, before whose authority no authority stands up, and whom no proof or explication can thwart. It is Thou who hast counted everything in numbers, appointed for everything a term, and ordained everything with an ordination. It is Thou before whose selfness imaginations fall short, before whose howness understandings are incapable, and the place of whose whereness eyes perceive not.

تو وہ ہے جسے کوئی جگہ گھیرے ہوئے نہیں ہے اور نہ تیرے اقتدار کا کوئی مقابلہ کر سکتا ہے اور نہ تو دلیل وبرہان اورکسی چیز کو واضح طور پر پیش کرنے سے عاجز ہے تو وہ ہے جس نے ایک ایک چیز کو شمار کر رکھا ہے اورہر چیز کی ایک مدت مقرر کر دی ہے اورہر شے کا ایک اندازہ ٹھہرادیا ہے تو وہ ہے کہ تیری کنہ ذات کو سمجھنے سے واہمے قاصر اور تیری کیفیت کو جاننے سے عقلیں عاجز ہیں اور تیری کوئی جگہ نہیں ہے کہ آنکھیں اس کا کھوج لگا سکتیں۔

It is Thou who hast no bounds, lest Thou be bounded, who art not exemplified, lest Thou be found, who dost not beget, lest Thou be begotten. It is Thou with whom there is no opposite, lest it contend with Thee, who hast no equal, lest it vie with Thee, who hast no rival, lest it resist Thee. It is Thou who art He who began, devised, brought forth, originated, and made well all that He made.

تو وہ ہے کہ تیری کوئی حدو نہایت نہیں ہے۔ کہ تو محدود قرار پائے اور نہ تیرا تصور کیا جا سکتا ہے کہ تو تصور کی ہوئی صورت کے ساتھ ذہن میں موجود ہو سکے اور نہ تیرے کوئی اولاد ہے کہ تیرے متعلق کسی کی اولاد ہونے کا احتمال ہو، تو وہ ہے کہ تیرا کوئی مد مقابل نہیں ہے کہ تجھ سے ٹکرائے اور نہ تیرا کوئی ہمسرہے کہ تجھ پر غالب آئے اورنہ تیرا کوئی مثل نظیر ہے کہ تجھ سے برابری کرے تو وہ ہے جس نے خلق کائنات کی ابتداء کی عالم کو ایجاد کیا اور اس کی بنیاد قائم کی۔ اور بغیر کسی مادہ و اصل کے اسے وجود میں لایا اور جو بنایا اسے اپنے حسن صنعت کا نمونہ بنایا۔

Glory be to Thee! How majestic is Thy station! How high Thy place among the places! How cleanly Thy Separator cleaves with the truth! Glory be to Thee! The Gentle - how gentle Thou art! The Clement how clement Thou art! The Wise how knowing Thou art! Glory be to Thee! The King how invincible Thou art! The Munificent how full of plenty Thou art! The Elevated how elevated Thou art! Possessor of radiance and glory, magnificence and praise!

تو ہر عیب سے منزہ ہے تیری شان کس قدر بزرگ اورتمام جگہوں میں تیرا پایہ کتنا بلند اورتیری حق و باطل میں امتیاز کرنے والی کتاب کس قدر حق کو آشکارا کرنے والی ہے۔ تو منزہ ہے اے صاحب لطف واحسان تو کس قدر لطف فرمانے والا ہے۔اے مہربان تو کس قدر مہربانی کرنے والا ہے۔ اے حکمت والے تو کتنا جاننے والا ہے پاک ہے تیری ذات اے صاحب اقتدار تو کس قدر قوی وتوانا ہے اے کریم! تیرا دامن کرم کتنا وسیع ہے۔ اے بلند مرتبہ، تیرا مرتبہ کتنا بلند ہے توحسن وخوبی شرف وبزرگی، عظمت وکبریائی اور حمد وستائش کا مالک ہے۔

Glory be to Thee! Thou hast stretched forth Thy hand with good things, and from Thee guidance has come to be known, so he who begs from Thee religion or this world will find Thee. Glory be to Thee! Whatever passes in Thy knowledge is subjected to Thee, all below Thy Throne are humbled before Thy mightiness, and every one of Thy creatures follows Thee in submission.

پاک ہے تیری ذات تو نے بھلائیوں کے لئے اپنا ہاتھ بڑھایا ہے تجھ ہی سے ہدایت کا عرفان حاصل ہوا ہے لہذا جو تجھے دین یا دنیا کے لئے طلب کرے تجھے پا لے گا۔ تو منزہ وپاک ہے جو بھی تیرے علم میں ہے وہ تیرے سامنے سرنگوں اور جو کچھ عرش کے نیچے ہے وہ تیری عظمت کے آگے سر بہ خم اورجملہ مخلوقات تیری اطاعت کا جو ا اپنی گردن میں ڈالے ہوئے ہے۔

Glory be to Thee! Thou art not sensed, nor touched, nor felt, nor beguiled, nor held back, nor challenged, nor kept up with, nor resisted, nor deceived, nor circumvented. Glory be to Thee! Thy path is smooth ground, Thy command right guidance, and Thou art a living, eternal refuge. Glory be to Thee! Thy word is decisive, Thy decree unfailing, Thy will resolute. Glory be to Thee! None can reject Thy wish, none can change Thy words.

پاک ہے تیری ذات کہ نہ حواس سے تجھے جانا جا سکتا ہے، نہ تجھے ٹٹولا اور چھوا جا سکتا ہے نہ تجھ پر کسی کا حیلہ چل سکتا ہے نہ تجھے دور کیا جا سکتا ہے نہ تجھ سے نزاع ہو سکتی ہے نہ مقابلہ نہ تجھ سے جھگڑا کیا جا سکتا ہے اور نہ تجھے دھوکا اورفریب دیا جا سکتا ہے۔ پاک ہے تیری ذات تیرا راستہ سیدھا اور ہموار، تیرا فرمان سراسر حق وصواب اورتو زندہ و بے نیاز ہے۔ پاک ہے تو تیری گفتار حکمت آمیز، تیرا فیصلہ قطعی اور تیرا ارادہ حتمی ہے پاک ہے تو نہ کوئی تیری مشیت کو رد کر سکتا ہے اور نہ کوئی تیری باتوں کو بدل سکتا ہے۔

Glory be to Thee, Out dazzling in signs, Creator of the heavens, Author of the spirits! To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will be permanent with Thy permanence! To Thee belongs praise, a praise everlasting through Thy favour! To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will parallel Thy benefaction! To Thee belongs praise, a praise that will increase Thy good pleasure!

پاک ہے تو اے درخشندہ نشانیوں والے۔اے آسمانوں کے خلق فرمانے والے اور ذی روح چیزوں کے پیدا کرنے والے تیرے ہی لئے تمام تعریفیں ہیں ایسی تعریفیں جن کی ہمیشگی تیری ہمیشگی سے وابستہ ہے اور تیرے ہی لئے ستائش ہے ایسی ستائش جو تیری نعمتوں کے ساتھ ہمیشہ باقی رہے۔ اورتیرے ہی لئے حمد وثناء ہے ایسی جو تیرے کرم واحسان کے برابر ہو۔

To Thee belongs praise, a praise along with the praise of every praiser and a thanksgiving before which falls short the thanksgiving of every thanks giver; a praise which is suitable for none but Thee and through which nearness is sought to none but Thee; a praise which will make permanent the first (bounty) and call forth the permanence of the last; a praise which will multiply through recurrence of times and increase through successive doublings.

اور تیرے ہی لئے حمد وسپاس ہے ایسی جو ہر حمد گزار کی حمد پر مشتمل ہو اور جس کے مقابلہ میں ہر شکر گزار کا شکر پیچھے رہ جائے۔ایسی حمد جو تیرے علاوہ کسی کے لئے سزاوار نہ ہو اور نہ تیرے سوا کسی کے تقرب کا وسیلہ بنے۔ ایسی حمد جو پہلی حمد کے دوام کا سبب قرار پائے اوراس کے ذریعہ آخری حمد کے دوام کی التجاء کی جائے۔ ایسی حمد جو زمانہ کی گردشوں کے ساتھ بڑھتی جائے اور پے در پے اضافوں سے زیادہ ہوتی رہے۔

A praise which the guardians will not be able to number and which exceeds what the writers number in Thy Book; a praise which will counterbalance Thy glorious Throne and equal Thy elevated Footstool; a praise whose reward with Thee will be complete and whose recompense will comprise every recompense; a praise whose outward conforms to its inward, and whose inward conforms to correct intention.

ایسی حمد کہ نگہبانی کرنے والے فرشتے اس کے شمار سے عاجز آ جائیں۔ ایسی حمد کہ جو کاتبان اعمال نے تیری کتاب میں لکھ دیا ہے اس سے بڑھ جائے ایسی حمد جو تیرے عرش بزرگ کے ہم وزن اور تیری بلند پایہ کرسی کے برابر ہو۔ ایسی حمد جس کا اجر وثواب تیری طرف سے کامل اور جس کی جزا تمام جزاؤں کو شامل ہو ایسی حمد کہ جس کا ظاہر، باطن سے ہمنوا اور باطن صدق نیت سے ہم آہنگ ہو۔

A praise with whose like no creature has praised Thee and whose excellence none knows but Thou; a praise in which he who strives to multiply Thy praise will be helped and he who draws the bow to the utmost in fulfilling it will be confirmed; a praise which will gather all the praise which Thou hast created and tie together all which Thou wilt afterwards create.

ایسی حمد کہ کسی مخلوق نے ویسی تیری حمد نہ کی ہو اور تیرے سوا کوئی اس کی فضیلت وبرتری سے آشنا نہ ہو۔ ایسی حمد کہ جو اسے بکثرت بجا لانے کے لئے کوشاں ہو۔ اسے (تیری طرف سے) مدد حاصل ہو اور جو اسے انجام تک پہنچانے کے لئے سعی بلیغ کرے اسے توفیق وتائید نصیب ہو، ایسی حمد جو تمام اقسام حمد کی جامع ہو جنہیں تو موجود کر چکا ہے اور ان اقسام کو بھی شامل ہو جنہیں تو بعد میں موجود کرے گا۔

A praise than which no praise is nearer to Thy word and than which none is greater from any who praise Thee; a praise whose fullness will obligate increase through Thy generosity and to which Thou wilt join increase after increase as graciousness from Thee; a praise that will befit the generosity of Thy face and meet the might of Thy majesty!

ایسی حمد کہ اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی حمد تیری مراد سے قریب تر نہ ہو اور جو شخص اس طرح کی حمد کرے اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی حمد گزار نہ ہو۔ ایسی حمد جو تیرے فضل وکرم سے اپنی فراوانی کے باعث افزائش نعمت کا سبب ہو اورتو اپنے لطف واحسان سے اس کے ساتھ پیہم اضافہ کا سلسلہ قائم رکھے۔ ایسی حمد جو تیری بزرگی ذات کے شایاں تیرے شرف جلال کے ہمدوش ہو۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, the distinguished, the chosen, the honoured, the brought nigh, with the most excellent of Thy blessings, benedict him with the most complete of Thy benedictions, and have mercy upon him with the most enjoyable of Thy mercies!

پرودگارا!محمد اور ان کی آل پر سب رحمتوں سے افضل وبرتر رحمت نازل فرما! وہ محمد جو برگزیدہ معزز وگرامی مقرب ہیں اوران پر اپنی کامل ترین برکتوں کا اضافہ فرما اور اپنی نفع رساں رحمتوں کے ساتھ ان پر رحم وکرم فرما۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a fruitful blessing, more fruitful than which there is no blessing! Bless him with a growing blessing, more growing than which there is no blessing! And bless him with a pleasing blessing, beyond which there is no blessing!

پروردگارا! محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت فراواں نازل کر جس سے فراوانی میں کوئی رحمت نہ بڑھ سکے۔ اور ان پر ایسی بڑھنے والی رحمت نازل فرما جس سے زیادہ کوئی رحمت بڑھنے والی نہ ہو اوران پر ایسی پسندیدہ رحمت نازل فرما جس سے بالا تر کوئی رحمت نہ ہو۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will please him and increase his good pleasure! Bless him with a blessing which will please Thee and increase Thy good pleasure toward him! And bless him with a blessing through other than which Thou wilt not be pleased for him, and for which Thou seest no one else worthy!

پروردگارا! محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما جو انہیں خوش وخوشنود کرے اور ان کی خوشنودی سے بڑھ جائے۔ اور ان پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما جو تجھے خوشنود کرے اور ان کے لئے تیری خوشنودی سے بڑھ جائے اور ان پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما کہ تو ان کے لئے اس کے سوا کسی رحمت کو پسند نہ کرے اور نہ ان کے علاوہ کسی کو اس رحمت کا سزاوار سمجھے۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will pass beyond Thy good pleasure, be continuous in its continuity through Thy subsistence, and never be spent, just as Thy words will never be spent!

پروردگارا! محمد اور ان کی آل پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما کہ تیری جانب سے جس رضا مندی کے وہ مستحق ہیں اس سے بڑھ جائے اور اس کا پیوند تیرے بقاء ودوام سے جڑا رہے اور اس کا سلسلہ کہیں ختم نہ ہو جس طرح تیرے کلمے ختم نہ ہوں گے۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will tie together the blessings of Thy angels, Thy prophets, Thy messengers, and those who obey Thee, comprise the blessings of Thy servants, jinn or mankind, and those worthy of Thy response, and bring together the blessings of every one of the kinds of Thy creatures which Thou hast sown and authored!

پروردگارا! محمد اور ان کی آل پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما۔ جو تیرے فرشتوں، نبیوں،رسولوں اور اطاعت کرنے والوں کے درود ورحمت کو شامل ہو اور تیرے بندوں میں سے جنوں،انسانوں اور تیری دعوت کو قبول کرنے والوں کے درود وسلام پر مشتمل ہو اورتیری ہر قسم کی مخلوقات کہ جنہیں تو نے خلق کیا اور عالم وجود میں لایا سب کی رحمتوں پر حاوی ہو۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which will encompass every blessing, bygone and new! Bless him and his Household with a blessing which is pleasing to Thee and everyone below Thee and will bring forth with all that a blessing with which Thou wilt multiply those blessings and increase them through the recurrence of days with an increasing in multiples which none can count but Thou!

پروردگارا! آنحضرت پر، ان کی آل پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما جو گذشتہ اور آئندہ سب رحمتوں کو محیط ہوں ان پر اور ان کی آل پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما جو تیرے نزدیک اورتیرے علاوہ دوسروں کے نزدیک پسندیدہ ہو۔ اور ان رحمتوں کے ساتھ ایسی رحمتیں بھیجتا رہے کہ ان کے بھیجنے کے وقت تو پہلی رحمتوں کو دگنا کر دے۔اور انہیں زمانہ کے گزرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ دو چند کرکے اتنا بڑھاتا جائے کہ جنہیں تیرے علاوہ کوئی شمار نہ کر سکے۔

My Lord, bless the best of his Household, those whom Thou hast chosen for Thy command, appointed the treasurers of Thy knowledge, the guardians of Thy religion, Thy vicegerents in Thy earth, and Thy arguments against Thy servants, purified from uncleanness and defilement through a purification by Thy desire, and made the mediation to Thee and the road to Thy Garden!

پروردگارا ان کے اہل بیت اطہارپر رحمت نازل فرما جنہیں تو نے امر دین وشریعت کے لئے منتخب فرمایا۔ اپنے علم کا خزینہ دار اور اپنے دین کا محافظ اور زمین میں اپنا خلیفہ وجانشین اور بندوں پر اپنی حجت بنایا اور جنہیں اپنے ارادہ (ازلی) سے ہر قسم کی نجاست وآلودگی سے پاک وصاف رکھا اور جنہیں اپنے تک پہنچنے کا وسیلہ اور جنت تک آنے کا راستہ قرار دیا۔

My Lord, bless Muhammad and his Household with a blessing which makes plentiful Thy gifts and generosity, perfects for them Thy bestowals and awards, and fills out their share of Thy kindly acts and benefits! My Lord, bless him and his Household with a blessing whose first has no term, whose term has no limit, and whose last has no utmost end!

پروردگار! محمد اور ان کی آل پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما جس کے ذریعہ تو ان کے لئے اپنی بخشش وکرامت کو فراواں اور ان کے لئے عطایا وانعامات کامل کرے اوراپنے تحائف ومنافع میں سے انہیں وافر حصہ بخشے۔ پروردگارا! ان پر اور ان کے اہل بیت پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما کہ نہ اس کی ابتدا کی کوئی مدت، نہ اس مدت کی کوئی انتہا اورنہ اس کا کوئی آخری کنارا ہو۔

My Lord, bless them to the weight of Thy Throne and all below it, the amount that fills the heavens and all above them, the number of Thy earths and all below and between them, a blessing that will bring them near to Thee in proximity, please Thee and them, and be joined to its likes forever!

پروردگارا!ان پر ایسی رحمت نازل فرما کہ تیرے عرش اورجو کچھ زیر عرش ہے سب کے ہموزن ہو اور اس مقدار میں ہو کہ آسمانوں اور جو کچھ آسمانوں کے اوپرہے سب کو بھر دے اورزمینوں اور جو کچھ زمینوں کے نیچے اور ان کے اندر ہے ان کے شمار کے برابر ہو ایسی رحمت جو انہیں تیرے تقرب کی منزل اعلے پر پہنچا دے اور تیرے لئے اور ان کے لئے سرمایہ خوشنودی ہو اور اپنے جیسی دوسری رحمتوں سے ہمیشہ متصل رہے۔

O God, surely Thou hast confirmed Thy religion in all times with an Imam whom Thou hast set up as a guidepost to Thy servants and a lighthouse in Thy lands, after his cord has been joined to Thy cord! Thou hast appointed him the means to Thy good pleasure, made obeying him obligatory, cautioned against disobeying him, and commanded following his commands, abandoning his prohibitions, and that no forward-goer go ahead of him or back-keeper keep back from him! So he is the preservation of the shelter-seekers, the cave of the faithful, the handhold of the adherents, and the radiance of the worlds!

بارالہا! تو نے ہر زمانہ میں ایک ایسے امام کے ذریعہ اپنے دین کی تائید فرمائی ہے جسے تو نے اپنے بندوں کے لئے نشان راہ قرار دیا اورشہروں میں منار ہدایت بنا کر قائم کیا جبکہ تو نے اپنے پیمان اطاعت کو اس کے پیمان اطاعت سے وابستہ کر دیا جسے اپنی رضا وخوشنودی کا ذریعہ قرار دیا جس کی اطاعت فرض کر دی جس کی نافرمانی سے ڈرایا جس کے احکام کی بجا آوری اورجس کے منع کر نے پر باز رہنے کا حکم دیا۔ اور یہ کہ کوئی آگے بڑھنے والا اس سے آگے نہ بڑھے اورکوئی پیچھے رہ جانے والا اس سے پیچھے نہ رہے۔ وہ پناہ طلب کرنے والوں کے لئے سروسامان حفاظت،اہل ایمان کے لئے جائے پناہ وابستگان دامن کے لئے مضبوط سہارا اورتمام جہان کی رونق وزیبائش ہے۔

O God, so inspire Thy guardian to give thanks for that in which Thou hast favoured him, inspire us with the like concerning him, grant him an authority from Thee to help him, open for him an easy opening, aid him with Thy mightiest pillar, brace up his back, strengthen his arm, guard him with Thy eye, defend him with Thy safeguarding, help him with Thy angels, and assist him with Thy most victorious troops! Through him establish Thy Book, Thy bounds, Thy laws, and the norms of Thy Messenger’s Sunna (Thy blessings, O God, be upon him and his Household).

بارالہا! اپنے ولی وپیشوا کے دل میں اس انعام پر جو اسے بخشا ہے ادائے شکر کا الہام فرما اور اس کے وجود کے باعث ویسا ہی ادائے شکر کا جذبہ ہمارے دل میں پیدا کر اور اسے اپنی طرف سے ایسا تسلط عطا فرما جس سے ہر طرح کی مدد پہنچے اوراس کے لئے کامیابی وکامرانی کی راہ بآسانی کھول دے اور اپنے مضبوط سہارے سے اس کی مدد فرما۔ اس کی پشت کو مضبوط اور بازو کو قوی کر اپنی نظر توجہ سے اس کی حفاظت اوراپنی نگہداشت سے اس کی حمایت فرما اور اپنے فرشتوں کے ذریعہ اس کی مدد اور اپنے غالب آنے والے سپاہ ولشکر سے اس کی کمک فرما اور اس کے ذریعہ اپنی کتاب اور حدود واحکام اور اپنے رسول (ان پر اے اللہ تیری طرف سے درود و رحمت ہو) کی روشوں کو قائم کر۔

Bring to life the guideposts of Thy religion, deadened by the wrongdoers, burnish the rust of injustice from Thy way, sift the adversity from Thy road, eliminate those who deviate from Thy path, and erase those who seek crookedness in Thy straightness!

اور ان کے ذریعہ ظالموں نے دین کے جن نشانات کو مٹا ڈالا ہے از سر نو زند ہ کر دے اور ظلم وجور کے زنگ کو اپنی شریعت سے دور اور اپنی راہ کی دشواریوں کو برطرف کر دے۔اور جو لوگ تیری راہ صواب سے رو گردانی کرنے والے ہیں انہیں ختم کر دے اور جو تیرے راہ راست میں کجی پیدا کرتے ہیں انہیں نیست ونابود کر دے۔

Make his side mild toward Thy friends, stretch forth his hand over Thy enemies, give us his clemency, his mercy, his tenderness, his sympathy, and make us his hearers and obeyers, strivers toward his good pleasure, assistants in helping him and defending him, and brought near through that to Thee and Thy Messenger (Thy blessings, O God, be upon him and his Household).

اور اسے اپنے دوستوں کے لئے نرم و بردبار قرار دے اور دشمنوں (پر غلبہ و تسلط) کے لۓ اس کے ہاتھوں کو کھول دے اور ہمیں اس کی طرف سے رافت ورحمت اور شفقت ومہربانی عطا فرما اور اس کی بات پر کان دھرنے والا اور اطاعت کرنے والا اور اس کی خوشنودی کے لئے کوشاں رہنے والا اور اس کی نصرت وتائید اور دشمنوں سے دفاع کے سلسلہ میں مدد دینے والا اور اس وسیلہ سے تجھ سے اور تیرے رسول (اے خدا ان پر تیرا درود سلام ہو) سے تقرب چاہنے والا قرار دے۔

O God, and bless the friends (of the Imams), the confessors of their station, the keepers to their course, the pursuers of their tracks, the clingers to their handhold, the adherents to their guardianship, the followers of their imamate, the submitters to their command, the strivers to obey them, the awaiters of their days, the directors of their eyes toward them, with blessings blessed, pure, growing, fresh, and fragrant!

اے اللہ ان کے دوستوں پر بھی رحمت نازل فرما جو ان کے مرتبہ ومقام کے معترف، ان کے طریق ومسلک کے تابع، ان کے نقش قدم پر گامزن۔ ان کے سر رشتہ دین سے وابستہ، ان کی دوستی و ولایت سے متمسک، ان کی امامت کے پیرو، ان کے احکام کے فرمانبردار، ان کی اطاعت میں سرگرم عمل، ان کے زمانہ اقتدار کے منتظر اور ان کے لئے چشم براہ ہیں۔ ایسی رحمت جو بابرکت، پاکیزہ اوربڑھنے والی اورہر صبح وشام نازل ہونے والی ہو۔

Give them and their spirits peace, bring together their affair in reverential fear, set right their situations, turn toward them, Surely Thou art Ever-turning, All-compassionate and the Best of forgivers, and place us with them in the Abode of Peace, through Thy mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

اور ان پر اوران کے ارواح (طیبہ) پر سلامتی نازل فرما اور ان کے کاموں کو صلاح وتقوی کی بنیادوں پر قائم کر اور ان کے حالات کی اصلاح فرما اور ان کی توبہ قبول فرما بیشک تو توبہ قبول کرنے والا، رحم کرنے والا، اور سب سے بہتر بخشنے والا ہے اور ہمیں اپنی رحمت کے وسیلہ سے ان کے ساتھ دارسلام (جنت) میں جگہ دے۔ اے سب رحیموں سے زیادہ رحیم۔

O God, this is the Day of Arafah, a day which Thou hast made noble, given honour, and magnified. Within it Thou hast spread Thy mercy, showed kindness through Thy pardon, and made plentiful Thy giving, and by it Thou hast been bounteous toward Thy servants. I am Thy servant whom Thou favoured before creating him and after creating him. Thou madest him one of those whom Thou guided to Thy religion, gavest success in fulfilling Thy right, preserved through Thy cord, included within Thy party, and directed aright to befriend Thy friends and show enmity to Thine enemies.

پروردگارا! یہ روز عرفہ وہ دن ہے جسے تو نے شرف، عزّت اورعظمت بخشی ہے جس میں اپنی رحمتیں پھیلا دیں اور اپنے عفو ودرگزر سے احسان فرمایا۔اپنے عطیوں کو فراواں کیا اوراس کے وسیلہ سے اپنے بندوں پر تفضل فرمایا ہے۔ اے اللہ میں تیرا وہ بندہ ہوں جس پر تو نے اس کی خلقت سے پہلے اور خلقت کے بعد انعام واحسان فرمایا ہے اس طرح کہ اسے ان لوگوں میں سے قرار دیا جنہیں تو نے اپنے دین کی ہدایت کی، اپنے ادائے حق کی توفیق بخشی جن کی اپنی ریسماں کے ذریعہ حفاظت کی جنہیں اپنی جماعت میں داخل کیا اوراپنے دوستوں کی دوستی اوردشمنوں کی دشمنی کی ہدایت فرمائی ہے۔

Then Thou commanded him, but he did not follow Thy commands. Thou restricted Him, but he did not heed Thy restrictions, Thou prohibited him from disobedience toward Thee, but he broke Thy command by doing what Thou hadst prohibited, not in contention with Thee, nor to display pride toward Thee; on the contrary, his caprice called him to that which Thou hadst set apart and cautioned against, and he was helped in that by Thy enemy and his enemy. So he went ahead with it knowing Thy threat, hoping for Thy pardon, and relying upon Thy forbearance, though he was the most obligated of Thy servants - given Thy kindness toward him not to do so.

با ایں ہمہ تو نے اسے حکم دیا تو اس نے حکم نہ مانا، اور منع کیا تو وہ باز نہ آیا اور اپنی معصیت سے روکا تو وہ تیرے حکم کے خلاف امر ممنوع کا مرتکب ہوا، یہ تجھ سے عناد اورتیرے مقابلہ میں تکبر کی رو سے نہ تھا بلکہ خواہش نفس نے اسے ایسے کاموں کی دعوت دی جن سے تو نے روکا اور ڈرایا تھا۔ اور تیرے دشمن اور اس کے دشمن (شیطان ملعون) نے ان کاموں میں اس کی مدد کی۔

Here I am, then, before Thee, despised, lowly, humble, abject, fearful, confessing the dreadful sins with which I am burdened and the great offenses that I have committed, seeking sanctuary in Thy forgiveness, asking shelter in Thy mercy, and certain that no sanctuary-giver will give me sanctuary from Thee and no withholder will hold me back from Thee.

چنانچہ اس نے تیری دھمکی سے آگاہ ہونے کے باوجود تیرے عفو کی امید کرتے ہوئے اور تیرے درگزر پر بھروسہ رکھتے ہوئے گناہ کی طرف اقدام کیا۔ حالانکہ ان احسانات کی وجہ سے جو تو نے اس پر کئے تھے تمام بندوں میں وہ اس کا سزا وار تھا کہ ایسا نہ کرتا، اچھا پھر میں تیرے سامنے کھڑا ہوں بالکل خواروذلیل، سراپا عجز ونیاز اور لرزاں وترساں۔ ان عظیم گناہوں کا جن کا بوجھ اپنے سر اٹھایا ہے اوران بڑی خطاؤں کا جن کا ارتکاب کیا ہے اعتراف کرتا ہوا تیرے دامن عفو میں پناہ چاہتا ہوا اور تیری رحمت کا سہارا ڈھونڈتا ہوا اور یہ یقین رکھتا ہوا کہ کوئی پناہ دینے والا (تیرے عذاب سے مجھے پناہ نہیں دے سکتا اور کوئی بچانے والا تیرے غضب سے) مجھے بچا نہیں سکتا۔

So act kindly toward me, just as Thou actest kindly by Thy shielding him who commits sins, be munificent toward me, just as Thou art munificent by pardoning him who throws himself before Thee, and show kindness to me, just as it is nothing great for Thee to show kindness by forgiving him who expectantly hopes in Thee! Appoint for me in this day an allotment through which I may attain a share of Thy good pleasure and send me not back destitute of that with which Thy worshipers return from among Thy servants!

لہذا (اس اعتراف گناہ واظہار ندامت کے بعد) تو میری پردہ پوشی فرما جس طرح گناہگاروں کی پردہ پوشی فرماتا ہے اور مجھے معافی عطا کر جس طرح ان لوگوں کو معافی عطا کرتا ہے جنہوں نے اپنے آپ کو تیرے حوالے کر دیا ہو۔اور مجھ پر اس بخشش وآمرزش کے ساتھ احسان فرما کہ جس بخشش وآمرزش سے تو اپنے امیدوار پر احسان کرتا ہے تو تجھے بڑی نہیں معلوم ہوتی۔ اورمیرے لئے آج کے دن ایسا حظ ونصیب قرار دے کہ جس کے ذریعہ تیری رضا مندی کا کچھ حصہ پا سکوں اور تیرے عبادت گزار بندے جو (اجر وثواب کے) تحائف لے کر پلٹے ہیں مجھے ان سے خالی ہاتھ نہ پھیر۔

Though I have not forwarded the righteous deeds which they have forwarded, I have forwarded the profession of Thy Unity and the negation from Thee of opposites, rivals, and likenesses, I have come to Thee by the gateways by which Thou hast commanded that people come, and I have sought nearness to Thee through that without seeking nearness through which none gains nearness to Thee.

اگرچہ وہ نیک اعمال جو انہوں نے آگے بھیجے ہیں میں نے آگے نہیں بھیجے لیکن میں نے تیری وحدت ویکتائی کا عقیدہ اور یہ کہ تیرا کوئی حریف شریک کار اورمثل ونظیر نہیں ہے پیش کیا ہے اور انہی دروازوں سے جن دروازوں سے تو نے آنے کا حکم دیا ہے آیا ہوں اور ایسی چیز کے ذریعہ جس کے بغیر کوئی تجھ سے تقرب حاصل نہیں کر سکتا، تقرب چاہا ہے۔

Then I followed all this with repeated turning toward Thee, lowliness and abasement before Thee, good opinion of Thee, and trust in what is with Thee; and to that I coupled hope in Thee, since the one who hopes in Thee is seldom disappointed! I asked Thee with the asking of one vile, lowly, pitiful, poor, fearful, seeking sanctuary; all that in fear and pleading seeking refuge and asking shelter, not presumptuous through the pride of the proud, nor exalting myself with the boldness of the obedient, nor presumptuous of the intercession of the interceders.

پھر تیری طرف رجوع وبازگشت، تیری بارگاہ میں تذلل وعاجزی اور تجھ سے نیک گمان اور تیری رحمت پر اعتماد کو طلب تقرب کے ہمراہ رکھا ہے اور اس کے ساتھ ایسی امید کا ضمیمہ بھی لگا دیا ہے جس کے ہوتے ہوئے تجھ سے امید رکھنے والا محروم نہیں رہتا اور تجھ سے اسی طرح سوال کیا ہے جس طرح کوئی بے قدر، ذلیل، شکستہ حال، تہی دست خوف زدہ اور طلبگار پناہ سوال کرتا ہے اوراس حالت کے باوجود میرا یہ سوال خوف،عجز ونیازمندی،پناہ طلبی اور امان خواہی کی رو سے ہے نہ متکبروں کے تکبر کے ساتھ برتری جتلانے، نہ اطاعت گزاروں کے (اپنی عبادت پر) فخر واعتماد کی بنا پر اتراتے اور نہ سفارش کرنے والوں کی سفارش پرسر بلندی دکھاتے ہوئے۔

For I am still the least of the least and the lowliest of the lowly, like a dust mote or less! O He who does not hurry the evildoers nor restrain those living in ease! O He who shows kindness through releasing the stumblers and gratuitous bounty through respiting the offenders! I am the evildoer, the confessor, the offender, the stumbler! I am he who was audacious toward Thee as one insolent! I am he who disobeyed Thee with forethought! I am he who hid myself from Thy servants and blatantly showed myself to Thee!

اور میں اس اعتراف کے ساتھ تمام کمتروں سے کمتر، خواروذلیل لوگوں سے ذلیل تر اور ایک چیونٹی کے مانند بلکہ اس سے بھی پست تر ہوں۔ اے وہ جو گنہگاروں پر عذاب کرنے میں جلدی نہیں کرتا اور نہ سرکشوں کو (اپنی نعمتوں سے) روکتا ہے۔ اے وہ جو لغزش کرنے والوں سے درگزر فرما کر احسان کرتا ہے اور گنہگاروں کو مہلت دے کر تفضل فرماتا ہے میں وہ ہوں جو گناہ گار گناہ کا معترف،خطا کار اور لغزش کرنے والا ہوں۔ میں وہ ہوں جس نے تیرے مقابلہ میں جرات سے کام لیتے ہوئے پیش قدمی کی۔ میں وہ ہوں جس نے دیدہ دانستہ گناہ کیے۔ میں وہ ہوں جس نے اپنے گناہوں کو تیرے بندوں سے چھپایا اور تیرے سامنے کھلم کھلا مخالفت کی۔

I am he who was awed by Thy servants and felt secure from Thee! I am he who dreaded not Thy penalty and feared not Thy severity! I am the offender against himself! I am the hostage to his own affliction! I am short in shame! I am long in suffering! By the right of him whom Thou hast distinguished among Thy creation and by him whom Thou hast chosen for Thyself! By the right of him whom Thou hast selected from among Thy creatures and by him whom Thou hast picked for Thy task!

میں وہ ہوں جو تیرے بندوں سے ڈرتا رہا، اور تجھ سے بیخوف رہا،میں وہ ہوں جو تیری ہیبت سے ہراساں اور تیرے عذاب سے خوف زدہ نہ ہوا۔ میں خود ہی اپنے حق میں مجرم اور بلا و مصیبت کے ہاتھوں میں گروی ہوں میں ہی شرم وحیا سے عاری اور طویل رنج وتکلیف میں مبتلا ہوں میں تجھے۔ اس کے حق کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں جسے تو نے مخلوقات میں سے منتخب کیا۔ اس کے حق کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں جسے تو نے اپنے لئے پسند فرمایا۔ اس کے حق کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں جسے تو نے کائنات میں سے برگزیدہ کیا اور جسے اپنے احکام (کی تبلیغ) کے لئے چن لیا۔

By the right of him the obeying of whom Thou hast joined to obeying Thee, and by him the disobeying of whom Thou hast made like disobeying Thee! And by the right of him whose friendship Thou hast bound to Thy friendship and by him whose enmity Thou hast linked to Thine enmity! Shield me in this day of mine, by that through which Thou shieldest him who prays fervently to Thee while disavowing and him who seeks refuge in Thy forgiveness while repenting!

اس کے حق کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں جس کی اطاعت کو اپنی اطاعت سے ملا دیا اور جس کی نا فرمانی کو اپنی نافرمانی کے مانند قرار دیا۔ اس کے حق کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں جس کی محبت کو اپنی محبت سے مقرون اور جس کی دشمنی کو اپنی دشمنی سے وابستہ کیا ہے۔مجھے آج کے دن اس دامن رحمت میں ڈھانپ لے جس سے ایسے شخص کو ڈھانپتا ہے جو گناہوں سے دست بردار ہو کر تجھ سے نالہ وفریاد کرے اور تائب ہو کر تیرے دامن مغفرت میں پناہ چاہے۔

Attend to me with that through which Thou attendest to the people of obedience toward Thee, proximity to Thee, and rank with Thee! Single me out, as Thou singlest him out who fulfils Thy covenant, fatigues himself for Thy sake alone, and exerts himself in Thy good pleasure! Take me not to task for my neglect in respect to Thee, my transgressing the limit in Thy bounds, and stepping outside Thy ordinances! Draw me not on little by little by granting me a respite, like the drawing on little by little of him who withholds from me the good he has by not sharing with Thee in letting favour down upon me!

اور جس طرح اپنے اطاعت گزاروں اورقرب ومنزلت والوں کی سر پرستی فرماتا ہے اسی طرح میری سرپرستی فرما اور جس طرح ان لوگوں پر جنہوں نے تیرے عہد کو پورا کیا تیری خاطر اپنے کو تعب ومشقت میں ڈالا اور تیری رضا مندیوں کے لئے سختیوں کو جھیلا۔خود تن تنہا احسان کرتا ہے اس طرح مجھ پر بھی تن تنہا احسان فرما اور تیرے حق میں کوتاہی کرنے،تیرے حدود سے متجاوز ہونے اور تیرے احکام کو پس پشت ڈالنے پر میرا مواخذہ نہ کر اور مجھے اس شخص کے مہلت دینے کی طرح مہلت دے کر رفتہ رفتہ اپنے عذاب کا مستحق نہ بنا، جس نے اپنی بھلائی کو مجھ سے روک لیا اور سمجھتا یہ ہے کہ بس وہی نعمت کا دینے والا ہے یہاں تک کہ تجھے بھی ان نعمتوں کے دینے میں شریک نہ سمجھا ہو۔

Arouse me from the sleep of the heedless, the slumber of the prodigal, and the dozing of the forsaken! Take my heart to that in which Thou hast employed the devout, enthralled the worshipers, and rescued the remiss! Give me refuge from that which will keep me far from Thee, come between me and my share from Thee, and bar me from that which I strive for in Thee!

مجھے غفلت شعاروں کی نیند، بے راہرؤوں کے خواب اور حرماں نصیبوں کی غفلت سے ہوشیار کر دے اور میرے دل کو اس راہ عمل پر لگا جس پر تو نے اطاعت گزاروں کو لگایا ہے اوراس عبادت کی طرف مائل فرما جو عبادت گزاروں سے تو نے چاہی ہے اوران چیزوں کی ہدایت کر جن کے وسیلہ سے سہل انگاروں کو رہائی بخشی ہے اورجو باتیں تیری بارگاہ سے دور کردیں اور میرے اور تیرے ہاں کے حظ ونصیب کے درمیان حائل اورتیرے ہاں کے مقصد ومراد سے مانع ہو جائیں ان سے محفوظ رکھ۔

Make easy for me the road of good deeds toward Thee, racing to them from where Thou hast commanded, and coveting them as Thou desirest! Efface me not along with those whom Thou effacest for thinking lightly of what Thou hast promised! Destroy me not with those whom Thou destroyest for exposing themselves to Thy hate!

اور نیکیوں کی راہ پیمائی اور ان کی طرف سبقت جس طرح تو نے حکم دیا ہے اوران کی بڑھ چڑھ کر خواہش جیسا کہ تو نے چاہا ہے میرے لئے سہل وآسان کر اور اپنے عذاب و وعید کو سبک سمجھنے والوں کے ساتھ کہ جنہیں تو تباہ کرے گا مجھے تباہ نہ کرنا اور جنہیں دشمنی پر آمادہ ہونے کی وجہ سے ہلاک کرے گا ان کے ساتھ مجھے ہلاک نہ کرنا۔

Annihilate me not among those whom Thou annihilatest for deviating from Thy roads! Deliver me from the floods of trial, save me from the gullets of affliction, and grant me sanctuary from being seized by respite! Come between me and the enemy who misguides me, the caprice which ruins me, and the failing which overcomes me! Turn not away from me with the turning away in wrath from one with whom Thou art not pleased!

اور اپنی سیدھی راہوں سے انحراف کرنے والوں کے زمرہ میں کہ جنہیں تو برباد کرے گا مجھے برباد نہ کرنا اور فتنہ وفساد کے بھنور سے مجھے نجات دے اور بلا کے منہ سے چھڑا لے اور زمانہ مہلت (کی بد اعمالیوں) پر گرفت سے پناہ دے اوراس دشمن کے درمیان جو مجھے بہکائے اور اس خواہش نفس کے درمیان جو مجھے تباہ وبرباد کرے اور اس نقص وعیب کے درمیان جو مجھے گھیر لے حائل ہو جا اورجیسے اس شخص سے کہ جس پر غضب ناک ہونے کے بعد تو راضی نہ ہو رخ پھیر لیتا ہے اسی طرح مجھ سے رخ نہ پھیر۔

Let me not lose heart in expecting from Thee, lest I be overcome by despair of Thy mercy! Grant me not that which I cannot endure, lest Thou weighest me down with the surplus of Thy love which Thou loadest upon me! Send me not from Thy hand, the sending of him who possesses no good, toward whom Thou hast no need, and who turns not back (to Thee)!

اور جو امیدیں تیرے دامن سے وابستہ کئے ہوئے ہوں ان میں مجھے بے آس نہ کر کہ تیری رحمت سے یاس وناامیدی مجھ پر غالب آ جائے۔ اور مجھے اتنی نعمتیں بھی نہ بخش کہ جن کے اٹھانے کی میں طاقت نہیں رکھتا کہ تو فراوانی محبت سے مجھ پر وہ بار لاد دے جو مجھے گرانبار کر دے۔ اور مجھے اس طرح اپنے ہاتھ سے نہ چھوڑ دے جس طرح اسے چھوڑ دیتا ہے جس میں کوئی بھلائی نہ ہو اور نہ تجھے اس سے کوئی مطلب ہو اور نہ اس کے لئے توبہ وبازگشت ہو۔

Cast me not with the casting of him who has fallen from the eye of Thy regard and been wrapped in degradation from Thee! Rather take my hand (and save me) from the falling of the stumblers, the disquiet of the deviators, the slip of those deluded, and the plight of the perishers! Release me from that with which Thou hast afflicted the ranks of Thy servants and handmaids and make me reach the utmost degrees of him about whom Thou art concerned, towards whom Thou showest favour, and with whom Thou art pleased, so that Thou lettest him live as one praiseworthy and takest him to Thee as one felicitous!

اور مجھے اس طرح نہ پھینک دے جس طرح اسے پھینک دیتا ہے جو تیری نظر توجہ سے گر چکا ہو، اور تیری طرف سے ذلت و رسوائی اس پر چھائی ہوئی ہو بلکہ گرنے والوں کے گرنے سے اور کج روؤں کے خوف وہراس سے اور فریب خوردہ لوگوں کے لغزش کھانے سے اور ہلاک ہونے والوں کے ورطہ ہلاکت میں گرنے سے میرا ہاتھ تھام لے اور اپنے بندوں اورکنیزوں کے مختلف طبقوں کو جن چیزوں میں مبتلا کیا ہے ان سے مجھے عافیت وسلامتی بخش۔ اور جنہیں تو نے مورد عنایت قرار دیا، جنہیں نعمتیں عطا کیں، جن سے راضی وخوشنود ہوا، جنہیں قابل ستائش زندگی بخشی اورسعادت وکامرانی کے ساتھ موت دی ان کے مراتب ودرجات پر مجھے فائز کر۔

Collar me with the collar of abstaining from that which makes good deeds fail and takes away blessings! Impart to my heart restraint before ugly works of evil and disgraceful misdeeds! Divert me not by that which I cannot reach except through Thee from doing that which alone makes Thee pleased with me! Root out from my heart the love of this vile world, which keeps from everything which is with Thee, bars from seeking the mediation to Thee, and distracts from striving for nearness to Thee! Embellish for me solitude in prayer whispered to Thee by night and by day!

اور وہ چیزیں جو نیکیوں کو محو اور برکتوں کو زائل کر دیں ان سے کنارہ کشی اس طرح میرے لئے لازم کر دے جس طرح گردن میں پڑا ہوا طوق۔ اوربرے گناہوں اور رسوا کرنے والی معصیتوں سے علیحدگی ونفرت کو میرے دل کے لئے اس طرح ضروری قرار دے جس طرح بدن سے چمٹا ہوا لباس اور مجھے دنیا میں مصروف کرکے کہ جسے تیری مدد کے بغیر حاصل نہیں کر سکتا ان اعمال سے کہ جن کے علاوہ تجھے کوئی اور چیز مجھ سے خوش نہیں کر سکتی، روک نہ دے اوراس پست دنیا کی محبت کہ جو تیرے ہاں کی سعادت ابدی کی طرف متوجہ ہونے سے مانع اور تیری طرف وسیلہ طلب کرنے سے سد راہ اور تیرا تقرب حاصل کرنے سے غافل کرنے والی ہے میرے دل سے نکال دے اور شب و روز اپنی مناجات میں تنہائی کو میرے لئے آراستہ کر دے۔

Give me a preservation which will bring me close to dread of Thee, cut me off from committing things made unlawful by Thee, and spare me from captivation by dreadful sins! Give me purification from the defilement of disobedience, take away from me the filth of offenses, dress me in the dress of Thy well-being, cloak me in the cloak of Thy release, wrap me in Thy ample favours, and clothe me in Thy bounty and Thy graciousness!

اور مجھے ملکہ عصمت عطا فرما جو مجھے تیرے خوف سے قریب، ارتکاب محرمات سے الگ اور کبیرہ گناہوں کے بندھنوں سے رہا کر دے اور مجھے گناہوں کی آلودگی سے پاکیزگی عطا فرما اور معصیت کی کثافتوں کو مجھ سے دور کر دے اور عافیت کا جامہ مجھے پہنا دے اور اپنی سلامتی کی چادر اڑھا دے اور اپنی وسیع نعمتوں سے مجھے ڈھانپ لے۔

Strengthen me with Thy giving success and Thy pointing the right way, help me toward righteous intention, pleasing words, and approved works, and entrust me not to my force and my strength in place of Thy force and Thy strength! Degrade me not on the day Thou raisest me up to meet Thee, disgrace me not before Thy friends, make me not forget remembering Thee, take not away from me thanking Thee, but enjoin it upon me in states of inattention when the ignorant are heedless of Thy boons, and inspire me to laud what Thou hast done for me and confess to what Thou hast conferred upon me!

اور میرے لئے اپنے عطایا وانعامات کا سلسلہ پیہم جاری رکھ اوراپنی توفیق وراہ حق کی رہنمائی سے مجھے تقویت دے اور پاکیزہ نیت، پسندیدہ گفتار اور شائستہ کردار کے سلسلہ میں میری مدد فرما۔ اور اپنی قوت وطاقت کے بجائے مجھے میری قوت وطاقت کے حوالے نہ کر۔ اور جس دن مجھے اپنی ملاقات کے لئے اٹھائے مجھے ذلیل وخوار اوراپنے دوستوں کے سامنے رسوا نہ کرنا، اوراپنی یاد میرے دل سے فراموش نہ ہونے دے اور اپنا شکر وسپاس مجھ سے زائل نہ کر۔ بلکہ جب تیری نعمتوں سے بے خبر، سہو و غفلت کے عالم میں ہوں، میرے لئے ادائے شکر لازم قرار دے، اور میرے دل میں یہ بات ڈال دے کہ جو نعمتیں تو نے بخشی ہیں ان پر حمد وتوصیف اور جو احسانات مجھ پر کئے ہیں ان کا اعتراف کروں۔

Place my beseeching Thee above the beseeching of the beseechers and my praise of Thee above the praise of the praisers! Abandon me not with my neediness for Thee, destroy me not for what I have done for Thee, and slap not my brow with that with which Thou slappest the brow of those who contend with Thee, for I am submitted to Thee.

اور اپنی طرف میری توجہ کو تمام توجہ کرنے والوں سے بالاتر اور میری حمد سرائی کو تمام حمد کرنے والوں سے بلند تر قرار دے اور جب مجھے تیری احتیاج ہو تو مجھے اپنی نصرت سے محروم نہ کرنا اور جن اعمال کو تیری بارگاہ میں پیش کیا ہے ان کو میرے لئے وجہ ہلاکت نہ قرار دینا، اور جس عمل وکردار کے پیش نظر تو نے اپنے نافرمانوں کو دھتکارا ہے یوں مجھے اپنی بارگاہ سے دھتکار نہ دینا، اس لئے کہ میں تیرا مطیع وفرمانبردار ہوں۔

I know that the argument is Thine, that Thou art closest to bounty, most accustomed to beneficence, worthy of reverent fear, and worthy of forgiveness, that Thou art closer to pardoning than to punishing, and that Thou art nearer to covering over than to making notorious! Let me live an agreeable life that will tie together what I want and reach what I love while I not bring what Thou dislikest and not commit what Thou hast prohibited; and make me die the death of him whose light runs before him and on his right hand!

اور یہ جانتا ہوں کہ حجت وبرہان تیرے ہی لئے ہے اور تو فضل وبخشش کا زیادہ سزاوار اور لطف واحسان کے ساتھ فائدہ رساں اور اس لائق ہے کہ تجھ سے ڈرا جائے اور اس کا اہل ہے کہ مغفرت سے کام لے اور تیرا معاف کرنا سزا دینے سے زیادہ سزاوار ہے اور تیرا پردہ پوشی کرنا رسوا کرنے سے زیادہ قریب تر ہے۔ تو پھر مجھے ایسی پاکیزہ زندگی دے جو میرے حسب دل خواہ امور پر مشتمل اور میری دلپسند چیزوں پر منتہی ہو اس طرح کہ جس کام کو تو ناپسند کرے اسے بجا نہ لاؤں اورجس سے منع کرے اس کا ارتکاب نہ کروں۔ اور مجھے اس شخص کی سی موت دے جس کا نور اس کے آگے اور اس کے داہنی طرف چلتا ہو۔

Abase me before Thyself and exalt me before Thy creatures, lower me when I am alone with Thee and raise me among Thy servants, free me from need for him who has no need of me and increase me in neediness and poverty toward Thee! Give me refuge from the gloating of enemies, the arrival of affliction, lowliness and suffering! Shield me in what Thou seest from me, the shielding of him who would have power over violence had he no clemency and would seize for misdeeds had he no lack of haste!

اورمجھے اپنی بارگاہ میں عاجز ونگوں سار اور لوگوں کے نزدیک با وقار بنا دے۔ اور جب تجھ سے تخلیہ میں رازونیاز کروں تو مجھے پست وسرافگندہ اوراپنے بندوں میں بلند مرتبہ قرار دے اورجومجھ سے بے نیاز ہو اس سے مجھے بے نیاز کر دے اور میرے فقرو احتیاج کو اپنی طرف بڑھا دے اوردشمنوں کے خندہ زیر لب، بلاؤں کے ورود اور ذلت وسختی سے پناہ دے اورمیرے ان گناہوں کے بارے میں کہ جن پر تو مطلع ہے اس شخص کے مانند میری پردہ پوشی فرما کہ اگر اس کا حلم مانع نہ ہوتا تو وہ سخت گرفت پر قادر ہوتا اوراگر اس کی روش میں نرمی نہ ہوتی وہ گناہوں پر مواخذہ کرتا۔

When Thou desirest for a people a trial or an evil, deliver me from it, for I seek Thy shelter; and since Thou hast not stood me in the station of disgrace in this world of Thine, stand me not in such a station in the next world of Thine! Couple for me the beginnings of Thy kindnesses with their ends and the ancient of Thy benefits with the freshly risen! Prolong not my term with a prolonging through which my heart will harden! Strike me not with a striking that will take away my radiance! Visit me not with a meanness that will diminish my worth or a deficiency that will keep my rank unknown!

اور جب کسی جماعت کو تو مصیبت میں گرفتار یا بلاؤ نکبت سے دوچار کرنا چاہے، تو درصورتیکہ میں تجھ سے پنا ہ طلب ہوں اس مصیبت سے نجات دے اور جب کہ تو نے مجھے دنیا میں رسوائی کے موقف میں کھڑا نہیں کیا تو اس طرح آخرت میں بھی رسوائی کے مقام پر کھڑا نہ کرنا۔اورمیرے لئے دنیوی نعمتوں کو اخروی نعمتوں سے اور قدیم فائدوں کو جدید فائدوں سے ملا دے اور مجھے اتنی مہلت نہ دے کہ اس کے نتیجہ میں میرا دل سخت ہو جائے۔ اور ایسی مصیبت میں مبتلا نہ کر جس سے میری عزّت وآبرو جاتی رہے اورایسی ذلت سے دوچار نہ کر جس سے میری قدرومنزلت کم ہو جائے اور ایسے عیب میں گرفتار نہ کر جس سے میرا مرتبہ ومقام جانا نہ جا سکے۔ اور مجھے اتنا خوف زدہ نہ کر کہ میں مایوس ہو جاؤں اور ایسا خوف نہ دلا کہ ہراساں ہو جاؤں۔

Frighten me not with a fright by which I will despair or a terror through which I will dread, but make me stand in awe of Thy threat, take precautions against Thy leaving no excuses and Thy warning, and tremble at the recitation of Thy verses! Fill my night with life by keeping me awake therein for worshipping Thee, solitude with vigil for Thee, exclusive devotion to reliance upon Thee, setting my needs before Thee, and imploring that Thou wilt set my neck free from the Fire and grant me sanctuary from Thy chastisement, within which its inhabitants dwell!

میرے خوف کو اپنی وعید وسرزنش میں اور میرے اندیشہ کوتیرے عذر تمام کرنے اور ڈرانے میں منحصر کر دے اور میرے خوف وہراس کو آیات (قرآنی) کی تلاوت کے وقت قرار دے اور مجھے اپنی عبادت کے لئے بیدار رکھنے، خلوت وتنہائی میں دعا ومناجات کے لئے جاگنے، سب سے الگ رہ کر تجھ سے لو لگانے، تیرے سامنے اپنی حاجتیں پیش کرنے، دوزخ سے گلو خلاصی کے لئے بار بار التجاء کرنے، اورتیرے اس عذاب سے جس میں اہل دوزخ گرفتار ہیں پناہ مانگنے کے وسیلہ سے میری راتوں کو آباد کر۔

Leave me not blindly wandering in my insolence or inattentive in my perplexity for a time, make me not an admonition to him who takes admonishment, a punishment exemplary for him who takes heed, a trial for him who observes, devise not against me along with those against whom Thou devisest, replace me not with another, change not my name, transform not my body, appoint me not a mockery for Thy creatures, a laughing-stock for Thyself, a follower of anything but Thy good pleasure, a menial servant for anything but avenging Thee!

اور مجھے سرکشی میں سرگردان چھوڑ نہ دے اور نہ غفلت میں ایک خاص وقت تک غافل و بے خبر پڑا رہنے دے اور مجھے نصیحت حاصل کرنے والوں کے لئے عبرت، عبرت لینے والوں کے لئے سزائے عبرت اور دیکھنے والوں کے لئے فتنہ وگمراہی کا سبب نہ قرار دے اورمجھے ان لوگوں میں جن سے تو (ان کے مکر کی پاداش میں) مکر کرے گا شمار نہ کر اور (انعام و بخشش کے لۓ) میرے عوض دوسرے کو انتخاب نہ کر۔ میرے نام میں تغیر اور جسم میں تبدیلی نہ فرما اور مجھے مخلوقات کے لئے مضحکہ اور اپنی بارگاہ میں لائق استہزا نہ قرار دے۔ مجھے صرف ان چیزوں کا پابند بنا جن سے تیری رضا مندی وابستہ ہے اورصرف اس زحمت سے دو چار کر جو (تیرے دشمنوں سے) انتقام لینے کے سلسلہ میں ہو۔

Let me find the coolness of Thy pardon and the sweetness of Thy mercy, Thy repose, Thy ease, and the garden of Thy bliss! Let me taste, through some of Thy boundless plenty, the flavour of being free for what Thou lovest and striving in what brings about proximity with Thee and to Thee, and give me a gift from among Thy gifts! Make my commerce profitable and my return without loss, fill me with fear of Thy station, make me yearn for the meeting with Thee, and allow me to repent with an unswerving repentance along with which Thou lettest no sins remain, small or large, and leavest no wrongs, open or secret!

اور اپنے عفو ودرگزر کی لذت اوررحمت، راحت وآسائش گل وریحان اور جنت نعیم کی شیرینی سے آشنا کر اور اپنی وسعت وتونگری کی بدولت ایسی فراغت سے روشناس کر جس میں تیرے پسندیدہ کاموں کو بجا لا سکوں اور ایسی سعی وکوشش کی توفیق دے جوتیری بارگاہ میں تقرب کا باعث ہو اور اپنے تحفوں میں سے مجھے نت نیا تحفہ دے۔ اورمیری اخروی تجارت کو نفع بخش اور میری بازگشت کو بے ضرر قرار دے اور مجھے اپنے مقام وموقف سے ڈرا اور اپنی ملاقات کا مشتاق بنا۔ اور ایسی سچی توبہ کی توفیق عطا فرما کہ جس کے ساتھ میرے چھوٹے اور بڑے گناہوں کو باقی نہ رکھے اورکھلی اور ڈھکی معصیتوں کو محو کر دے۔

Root out rancour toward the faithful from my breast, bend my heart toward the humble, be toward me as Thou art toward the righteous, adorn me with the adornment of the godfearing, appoint for me a goodly report among those yet to come and a growing remembrance among the later folk, and take me to the plain of those who came first!

اور اہل ایمان کی طرف سے میرے دل سے کینہ وبغض کو نکال دے اور انکسار وفروتنی کرنے والوں پر میرے دل کو مہربان بنا دے اور میرے لئے تو ایسا ہو جا جیسا نیکوکاروں کے لئے ہے اورپرہیزگاروں کے زیور سے مجھے آراستہ کر دے اور آئندہ آنے والی نسلوں میں میرا ذکر روز افزوں برقرار رکھ اور سابقون الاولون کے محل ومقام میں مجھے پہنچا دے۔

Complete the lavishness of Thy favour upon me, clothe me in its repeated generosities, fill my hand with Thy benefits, drive Thy generous gifts to me, make me the neighbour of the best of Thy friends in the Gardens which Thou hast adorned for Thy chosen, and wrap me in Thy noble presents in the stations prepared for Thy beloveds!

اورفراخی نعمت کو مجھ پر تمام کر، اور اس کی منفعتوں کا سلسلہ پیہم جاری رکھ، اپنی نعمتوں سے میرے ہاتھوں کو بھر دے اور اپنی گراں قدر بخششوں کو میری طرف بڑھا دے اور جنت میں جسے تو نے اپنے برگزیدہ بندوں کے لئے سجایا ہے مجھے اپنے پاکیزہ دوستوں کا ہمسایہ قرار دے اوران جگہوں میں جنہیں اپنے دوستداروں کے لئے مہیا کیا ہے مجھے عمدہ ونفیس عطیوں کے خلعت اوڑھا دے۔

Appoint for me a resting place with Thee where I may seek haven in serenity, and a resort to which I may revert and rest my eyes, weigh not against me my dreadful misdeeds, destroy me not on the day the secrets are tried, eliminate from me every doubt and uncertainty, appoint for me a way in the truth from every mercy, make plentiful for me the portions of gifts from Thy granting of awards, and fill out for me the shares of beneficence from Thy bestowal of bounty!

اور میرے لئے وہ آرامگاہ کہ جہاں میں اطمینان سے بے کھٹکے رہوں اور وہ منزل کہ جہاں میں ٹھہروں اوراپنی آنکھوں کو ٹھنڈا کروں اپنے نزدیک قراردے، اورمجھے میرے عظیم گناہوں کے لحاظ سے سزا نہ دینا اور جس دن دلوں کے بھید جانچے جائیں گے مجھے ہلاک نہ کرنا، ہر شک وشبہ کو مجھ سے دور کر دے اور میرے لئے ہر سمت سے حق تک پہنچنے کی راہ پیدا کر دے اوراپنی عطا وبخشش کے حصے میرے لئے زیادہ کر دے اور اپنے فضل سے نیکی واحسان سے حظ فراواں عطا کر۔

Make my heart trust in what is with Thee and my concern free for what is Thine, employ me in that in which Thou employest Thy pure friends, drench my heart with Thy obedience when intellects are distracted, and combine within me independence, continence, ease, release, health, plenty, tranquillity, and well being! Make not fail my good deeds through my disobedience that stains them or my private times of worship through the instigations of Thy trial!

اوراپنے ہاں کی چیزوں پر میرا دل مطمئن اور اپنے کاموں کے لئے میری فکر کو یک سو کر دے اور مجھ سے وہی کام لے جو اپنے مخصوص بندوں سے لیتا ہے اور جب عقلیں غفلت میں پڑ جائیں اس وقت میرے دل میں اطاعت کا ولولہ سمو دے اور میرے لئے تونگری، پاکدامنی، آسائش سلامتی، تندرستی، فراخی اطمینان اور عافیت کو جمع کر دے۔ اور میری نیکیوں کو گناہوں کی آمیزش کی وجہ سے اور میری تنہائیوں کو ان مفسدوں کے باعث جو از راہ امتحان پیش آتے ہیں تباہ نہ کر۔

Safeguard my face from asking from anyone in the world, and drive me far from begging for that which is with the ungodly! Make me not an aid to the wrongdoers, nor their hand and helper in erasing Thy Book! Defend me whence I know not with a defense through which Thou protectest me! Open toward me the gates of Thy repentance, Thy mercy, Thy clemency, and Thy boundless provision!

اور اہل عالم میں سے کسی ایک کے آگے ہاتھ پھیلانے سے میری عزّت وآبرو کو بچائے رکھ اور ان چیزوں کی طلب وخواہش سے جو بدکرداروں کے پاس ہیں مجھے روک دے اور مجھے ظالموں کا پشت پناہ نہ بنا اور نہ (احکام) کتاب کے محو کرنے پر ان کا ناصر ومددگار قرار دے اورمیری اس طرح نگہداشت کر کہ مجھے خبر بھی نہ ہونے پائے۔ ایسی نگہداشت کہ جس کے ذریعہ تو مجھے (ہلاکت وتباہی) سے بچا لے جائے اور میرے لئے تو بہ ورحمت، لطف و رافت اورکشادہ روزی کے دروازے کھول دے۔

Surely I am one of those who beseech Thee! And complete Thy favour toward me! Surely Thou art the best of those who show favour! Place the rest of my life in the hajj and the ’umrah seeking Thy face, O Lord of the worlds! And may God bless Muhammad and his Household, the good, the pure, and peace be upon him and them always and forever!

اس لئے کہ میں تیری جانب رغبت و خواہش کرنے والوں میں سے ہوں اور میرے لئے اپنی نعمتوں کو پایہ تکمیل تک پہنچا دے اس لئے کہ تو انعام وبخشش کرنے والوں میں سب سے بہتر ہے اور میری بقیہ عمر کو حج وعمرہ اور اپنی رضا جوئی کے لئے قرار دے۔ اے تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے! رحمت کرے اللہ تعالیٰ محمد اوران کی پاک وپاکیزہ آل پر اور ان پر اور ان کی اولاد پر ہمیشہ ہمیشہ درود وسلام ہو۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
