His Supplication when he Looked at the New Crescent Moon
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَيُّهَا الْخَلْقُ الْمُطِيْعُ الدَّاۗئِبُ السَّرِيْعُ الْمُتَرَدِّدُ فِيْ مَنَازِلِ التَّقْدِيْرِ الْمُتَصَرِّفُ فِيْ فَلَكِ التَّدْبِيْرِ اٰمَنْتُ بِمَنْ نَوَّرَ بِكَ الظُّلَمَ وَاَوْضَحَ بِكَ الْبُهَمَ وَجَعَلَكَ اٰيَةً مِّنْ اٰيَاتِ مُلْكِهٖ وَعَلَامَةً مِّنْ عَلَامَاتِ سُلْطَانِهٖ وَامْتَهَنَكَ بِالزِّيَادَةِ وَالنُّقْصَانِ وَالطُّلُوْعِ وَالْاُفُوْلِ وَالْاِنَارَةِ وَالْكُسُوْفِ فِيْ كُلِّ ذٰلِكَ اَنْتَ لَهٗ مُطِيْعٌ وَاِلٰى اِرَادَتِهٖ سَرِيْعٌ۔ سُبْحَانَهٗ مَا اَعْجَبَ مَا دَبَّرَ فِيْ اَمْرِكَ وَاَلْطَفَ مَا صَنَعَ فِيْ شَانِكَ جَعَلَكَ مِفْتَاحَ شَهْرٍ حَادِثٍ لِاَمْرٍ حَادِثٍ۔
Ayyuhaa al-khalqu al-mutee'u ad-daa'ibu as-saree'u al-mutaraddidu fee manaazili at-taqdeeri al-mutasarrifu fee falaki at-tadbeeri aamantu biman nawwara bika az-zulama waawdaha bika al-buhama waja'alaka aayatan min aayaati mulkihee wa'alaamatan min 'alaamaati sultaanihee wamtahanaka biz-ziyaadati wan-nuqsaani wat-tuloo'i wal-ufooli wal-inaarati wal-kusoofi fee kulli zaalika anta lahoo mutee'un wailaa iraadatihee saree'un.
Subhaanahoo maa a'jaba maa dabbara fee amrika wal-tafa maa sana'a fee shaanika ja'alaka miftaaha shahrin haadithin liamrin haadithin. auto
O obedient creature, speedy and untiring, frequenter of the mansions of determination, moving about in the sphere of governance! I have faith in Him who lights up darknesses through thee, illuminates jet-black shadows by thee, appointed thee one of the signs of His kingdom and one of the marks of His authority, and humbled thee through increase and decrease, rising and setting, illumination and eclipse. In all of this thou art obedient to Him, prompt toward His will. Glory be to Him! How wonderful is what He has arranged in thy situation! How subtle what He has made for thy task! He has made thee the key to a new month for a new situation.
اے فرما بردار مخلوق جلد تر حرکت کرنے والے، مقررہ منزلوں میں گردش کرنے والے، تدبیر کے آسمان میں اپنا اثر دکھانے والے، میں اس ذات پر ایمان رکھتا ہوں جس نے تجھ سے تاریکی میں روشنی کی اور تجھ سے مدھم چیزوں کو واضح کیااور تجھے اپنی حکمرانی کی نشانی قرار دیا اوراپنے اقتدار کی علامتوں میں سے ایک علامت بنایا ہے پس تجھ سے وقت کی حد مقر ر کی اورتیرے عروج وزوال،طلوع وغروب اور روشنی وتاریکی کی حالتیں قرار دیں کہ تو ان میں سے ہر حال میں اس کافرما ں بردار اوراس کے ارادے پر جلد عمل کرنے والا ہے وہ پاک ہے عجیب کام کرنے والا جو اس نے تیرے بارے میں کیا اور تجھے بڑی باریک بینی کے ساتھ بنایا اس نے تجھے نئے مہینے کی کنجی نئے امر کا آغاز قرار دیا۔
فَاَسْئَلُ اللهَ رَبِّيْ وَرَبَّكَ وَخَالِقِيْ وَخَالِقَكَ وَمُقَدِّرِيْ وَمُقَدِّرَكَ وَمُصَوِّرِيْ وَمُصَوِّرَكَ اَنْ يُّصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَاَنْ يَجْعَلَكَ هِلَالَ بَرَكَةٍ لَا تَمْحَقُهَا الْاَيَّامُ وَطَهَارَةٍ لَا تُدَنِّسُهَا الْاٰثَامُ هِلَالَ اَمْنٍ مِّنَ الْاٰفَاتِ وَسَلَامَةٍ مِّنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ هِلَالَ سَعْدٍ لَا نَحْسَ فِيْهِ وَيُمْنٍ لَا نَكَدَ مَعَهٗ وَيُسْرٍ لَا يُمَازِجُهٗ عُسْرٌ وَخَيْرٍ لَا يَشُوْبُهٗ شَرٌّ هِلَالَ اَمْنٍ وَاِيْمَانٍ وَنِعْمَةٍ وَاِحْسَانٍ وَسَلَامَةٍ وَاِسْلَامٍ۔
Faas'alu allaaha rabbee warabbaka wakhaaliqee wakhaaliqaka wamuqaddiree wamuqaddiraka wamusawwiree wamusawwiraka an yusalliya 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee waan yaj'alaka hilaala barakatin laa tamhaquhaa al-ayyaamu watahaaratin laa tudannisuhaa al-aathaamu hilaala amnin mina al-aafaati wasalaamatin mina as-sayyi'aati hilaala sa'din laa nahsa feehi wayumnin laa nakada ma'ahoo wayusrin laa yumaazijuhoo 'usrun wakhayrin laa yashoobuhoo sharrun hilaala amnin waeemaanin wani'matin waihsaanin wasalaamatin waislaamin. auto
So I ask God, my Lord and thy Lord, my Creator and thy Creator, my Determiner and thy Determiner, my Form-giver and thy Form-giver, that He bless Muhammad and his Household and appoint thee a crescent of blessings not effaced by days and of purity not defiled by sins; a crescent of security from blights and of safety from evil deeds; a crescent of auspiciousness containing no misfortune, of prosperity accompanied by no adversity, of ease not mixed with difficulty, of good unstained by evil; a crescent of security and faith, favour and good-doing, safety and submission!
پس سوال کرتا ہوں اﷲ سے جو میرا اور تیرا رب، میرااور تیرا خالق، میرا اور تیرا اندازہ ٹھہرانے والا اور مجھے اور تجھے صورت دینے والا ہے کہ وہ محمدؐ وآل محمدؐ پر رحمت فرمائے اور یہ کہ تجھے بابرکت چاند بنائے کہ جس کی برکت کو زمانہ ختم نہ کر سکے ایسی پاکیزگی عطا کرے جسے گناہ آلودہ نہ کریں تجھے ایسا چاند بنائے جو بلاؤں سے مبرا ہو جس میں برائیوں سے حفاظت ہو وہ چاند جس میں اچھائی ہو برائی نہ ہو جس میں نفع حاصل ہو نقصان نہ ہو جس میں آسانی ہو تنگی نہ آئے جس میں بھلائی ہو برا ئی نہ ہو تجھے وہ چاند بنائے کہ جس میں آرام وسہولت، نعمت واحسان، سلامتی اور تسلیم حاصل رہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ اَرْضٰى مَنْ طَلَعَ عَلَيْهِ وَاَزْكٰى مَنْ نَظَرَ اِلَيْهِ وَاَسْعَدَ مَنْ تَعَبَّدَ لَكَ فِيْهِ وَوَفِّقْنَا فِيْهِ لِلتَّوْبَةِ وَاعْصِمْنَا فِيْهِ مِنَ الْحَوْبَةِ وَاحْفَظْنَا فِيْهِ مِنْ مُبَاشَرَةِ مَعْصِيَتِكَ وَاَوْزِعْنَا فِيْهِ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَاَلْبِسْنَا فِيْهِ جُنَنَ الْعَافِيَةِ وَاَتْمِمْ عَلَيْنَا بِاسْتِكْمَالِ طَاعَتِكَ فِيْهِ الْمِنَّةَ اِنَّكَ الْمَنَّانُ الْحَمِيْدُ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee waj'alnaa min ardaa man tala'a 'alayhi waazkaa man nazara ilayhi waas'ada man ta'abbada laka feehi wawaffiqnaa feehi lit-tawbati wa'simnaa feehi mina al-hawbati wahfaznaa feehi min mubaasharati ma'siyatika waawzi'naa feehi shukra ni'matika wal-bisnaa feehi junana al-'aafiyati waatmim 'alaynaa bistikmaali taa'atika feehi al-minnata innaka al-mannaanu al-hameedu wasallaa allaahu 'alaa muhammadin waaalihi at-tayyibeena at-taahireena. auto
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, place us among the most satisfied of those over whom the crescent has risen, the purest of those who have looked upon it, the most fortunate of those who have worshipped Thee under it; give us the success during (the new month) to repent, preserve us within it from misdeeds, guard us therein from pursuing disobedience to Thee, allot to us within it thanksgiving for Thy favour, clothe us during it in the shields of well-being, and complete for us Thy kindness by perfecting therein obedience to Thee! Surely Thou art All-kind, Praiseworthy. And bless Muhammad and his Household, the good, the pure.
اے معبود! محمدؐوآل محمدؐ پر رحمت فرما اور ہمیں پسندیدہ لوگوں میں قرار دےجن پر یہ چاند طلوع ہوا اور پاکیزہ لوگوں میں جنہوں نے اسے دیکھا اور نیک لوگوں میں جو اس میں تیری عبادت کریں گے اے معبود! توفیق دے ہمیں اس چاند میں عبادت کرنے اور توبہ کرنے کی اور اس میں ہمیں گناہوں اور برائیوں سے بچا اور نعمتوں پر شکر ادا کرنے کی ہمت دے اس ماہ میں حفاظت کی زرہیں پہنادے اور ہمارا یہ مہینہ بندگی میں کمال حاصل کرنے میں گزار اور احسان فرما بے شک تو احسان کرنے والا اور تعریف والا ہے اور خدا محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پررحمت فرمائے جو پاکیزہ تر ہیں اور اس ماہ میں ہماری مدد فرما اس امر میں جس کا حکم تو نے دیا ہے یعنی عبادت ہم پر فرض کی ہے اور اسے قبول فرما بے شک توہر مہربان سے زیادہ مہربان اور ہر رحم والے سے بڑا رحم والا ہے ایسا ہی ہے اے جہانوں کے پروردگار۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
