In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Praise belongs to God whose decree none may avert, and whose gift none may prevent. No fashioner`s fashioning is like His fashioning, and He is the Generous, the All-embracing. He brought forth the varieties of unprecedented creatures and perfected through His wisdom all He had fashioned. Hidden not from Him are harbingers, nor lost with Him are deposits. He repays every fashioner, feathers the nest of all who are content

حمد ہے خدا کے لئے جس کے فیصلے کو کوئی بدلنے والا نہیں کوئی اس کی عطا روکنے والا نہیں اور کوئی اس جیسی صنعت والا نہیں اور وہ کشادگی کے ساتھ دینے والاہے اس نے قِسم قِسم کی مخلوق بنائی اور بنائی ہوئی چیزوں کو اپنی حکمت سے محکم کیا دنیا میں آنے والی کوئی چیز اس سے پوشیدہ نہیں اس کے ہاں کوئی امانت ضائع نہیں ہوتی وہ ہر کام پر جزا دینے والا ہے وہ ہر قانع کو زیادہ دینے والا

and has mercy upon all who humble themselves. He sends down benefits and the all-encompassing Book in radiant light. He hears supplications, averts afflictions, raises up in degrees, and knocks down tyrants. For there is no god other than He, nothing is equal to Him, "Like Him there is naught, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing", the subtle, the Aware, and "He is powerful over all things".

اور ہر نالاں پر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ وہ بھلائیاں نازل کرنے والا اور چمکتے نور کے ساتھ مکمل و کامل کتاب اتارنے والا ہے وہ لوگوں کی دعاؤں کا سننے والا لوگوں کے دکھ دور کرنے والا درجے بلند کرنے والا اور سرکشوں کی جڑ کاٹنے والا ہے پس اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں کوئی چیز اس کے برابرنہیں، کوئی چیز اس کے مانند نہیں اور وہ سننے والا دیکھنے والا ہے باریک بین خبر رکھنے والا ہے اور وہی ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

O God, I make Thee my quest and bear witness to Thy Lordship, acknowledging that Thou art my Lord and to Thee is my return. Thou originated me by Thy blessing before I was a thing remembered. Thou created me from dust, then gavest me a place in the loins (of my fathers), secure from the uncertainty of Fate and the vagaries of the ages and the years. I remained a traveller from loin to womb in a time immemorial of past days and bygone centuries.

اے اللہ! بے شک میں تیری طرف متوجہ ہوا ہوں تیرے پروردگار ہونے کی گواہی دیتا اور مانتاہوں کہ تو میرا پالنے والا ہے اور تیری طرف لوٹا ہوں کہ تو نے مجھ سے اپنی نعمت کا آغاز کیا اس سے پہلے کہ میں وجود میں آتا اور تو نے مجھ کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا پھر بڑوں کی پشتوں میں جگہ دی مجھے موت سے اور ماہ وسال میں آنے والی آفات سے امن دیا پس میں پے در پے ایک پشت سے ایک رحم میں آیا ان دنوں میں جو گزرے ہیں اور ان صدیوں میں جو بیت چکی ہیں۔

In Thy tenderness, bounty and goodness toward me Thou didst not send me out into the empire of the leaders of disbelief, those who broke Thy covenant and cried lies to Thy messengers. Rather, Thou sentest me out to that guidance which had been foreordained for me, the way which Thou madest easy for me and in which Thou nurtured me. And before that Thou wert kind to me through Thy gracious fashioning and abundant blessings.

تو نے اپنی محبت و مہربانی کی وجہ سے مجھ پر احسان کیا اور مجھے کافر بادشاہوں کے دور میں پیدا نہیں کیا کہ جنہوں نے تیرے فرمان کو توڑا اور تیرے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا لیکن تو نے مجھ کو اس زمانے میں پیدا کیا جس میں تھوڑے عرصے میں مجھے ہدایت میسر آگئی کہ اس میں تو نے مجھے پالا اور اس سے پہلے تو نے اچھے عنوان سے میرے لئے محبت ظاہر فرمائی اور بہترین نعمتیں عطا کیں۔

Thou originated my creation from a sperm-drop spilled and madest me to dwell in a threefold gloom among flesh, blood and skin. Thou gavest me not to witness my creation, nor didst Thou entrust me with anything of my own affair. Then thou sentest me out into the world for the guidance that had been ordained for me, complete and unimpaired. Thou watched over me in the cradle as an infant boy, provided me with food, wholesome milk, and turned the hearts of the nurse-maids toward me. Thou entrusted my upbringing to compassionate mothers, guarded me from the calamities brought by the jinn

پھر میرے پیدا کرنے کاآغاز ٹپکنے والے آبِ حیات سے کیا اور مجھ کو تین تاریکیوں میں ٹھہرادیا یعنی گوشت خون اور جلد کے نیچے جہاں میں نے بھی اپنی خلقت کو نہ دیکھا اور تو نے میرے اس معاملے میں سے کچھ بھی مجھ پر نہ ڈالا پھر تو نے مجھے رحمِ مادر سے نکالا کہ مجھے ہدایت دے کر دنیا میں درست و سالم جسم کے ساتھ بھیجا اور گہوارے میں میری نگہبانی کی جب میں چھوٹا بچہ تھا تو نے میرے لئے تازہ دودھ کی غذا بہم پہنچائی اور دودھ پلانے والیوں کے دل میرے لئے نرم کردیے۔ تو نے مہربان ماؤں کو میری پرورش کا ذمہ دار بنایا جن و پری کےآزارواذیت و خوف سے میری حفاظت فرمائی

and kept me secure from excess and lack. High art Thou, O Merciful! O Compassionate! Then when I began to utter speech Thou completed for me Thy abundant blessings. Thou nurtured me more and more each year until, when my nature was perfected and my strength balanced, Thou madest Thy argument incumbent upon me by inspiring me with knowledge of Thee, awing me with the marvels of Thy wisdom, awakening me to the wonders of Thy creation which Thou hadst multiplied in Thy Heaven and Thy earth, and instructing me in Thy thanks and remembrance.

اور مجھے ہر قسم کی کمی بیشی سے بچائے رکھا پس تو برتر ہے اے مہربان اے عطاؤں والے یہاں تک کہ میں باتیں کرنے لگا اور یوں تو نے مجھے اپنی بہترین نعمتیں پوری کردیں اور ہر سال میرے جسم کو بڑھایا حتی کہ میری جسمانی ترقی اپنے کمال تک پہنچ گئی اور میری شخصیت میں توازن پیدا ہوگیا تو مجھ پر تیری حجت قائم ہوگئی اس لئے کہ تو نے مجھے اپنی معرفت کرائی اور اپنی عجیب عجیب حکمتوں کے ذریعے مجھے خوف زدہ کردیا اورمجھے بیدار کیا ان چیزوں کے ذریعے جو تو نے آسمان و زمین میں عجیب طرح سے خلق کیں اس طرح مجھے اپنے شکر اور ذکر سے آگاہ کیا۔

Thou madest incumbent upon me Thy obedience and worship, madest me to understand what Thy messengers had brought and madest easy for me the acceptance of Thy good pleasure. Thou wast gracious to me in all of this, through Thy succour and kindness. Then, since Thou created me from the best soil, Thou wert not satisfied, my God, that I should have one blessing without another.

اور مجھ پر اپنی فرماں برداری اور عبادت لازم فرمائی تو نے مجھے وہ چیز سمجھائی جو تیرے رسول لائے اور میرے لئے اپنی رضاؤں کی قبولیت آسان کی تو ان سب باتوں میں مجھ پر تیرا احسان ہے اس کے ساتھ تیری مدد اور مہربانی ہے پھر جب تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا بہترین خاک سے تو میرے لئے اے اللہ! تو نے ایک آدھ نعمت پر ہی بس نہیں کی۔

Thou provided me with varieties of sustenance and kinds of garments and Thy tremendous, most tremendous, graciousness to me and Thy eternal goodness toward me. And finally, when Thou hadst completed for me every blessing and turned away from me all misfortunes, Thou wert not prevented by my ignorance and audacity from guiding me toward that which would bring me nigh to Thee or from giving me success in that which would bring me close to Thee.

بلکہ مجھے معاش کے کئی طریقے اور فائدے کے کئی راستے عطا کیے مجھ پر اپنے بڑے اور بہت بڑے احسان و کرم سے اور مجھ پر اپنی سابقہ مہربانیوں سے یہاں تک کہ جب مجھے تو نے یہ تمام نعمتیں دے دیں اور تکلیفیں مجھ سے دور کردیں تیرے آگے میری جرأت اور میری نادانی اس میں رکاوٹ نہیں بنی کہ تو نے مجھے وہ راستے بتائے جو مجھ کو تیرے قریب کرتے اور تو نے مجھے توفیق دی کہ تیرا پسندیدہ بنوں۔

For if I prayed to Thee Thou answered, if I asked of Thee Thou gavest, if I obeyed Thee Thou showed Thy gratitude, and if I thanked Thee Thou gavest me more. All of that was to perfect Thy blessings upon me and Thy goodness toward me. So glory be to Thee; Glory be to Thee, who are Producer and Reproducer, Laudable, Glorious. Holy are

پس میں نے جو دعا مانگی تو نے قبول کی اور جو سوال کیا وہ تو نے پورا فرمایا اگر میں نے تیری اطاعت کی تو نے قدر فرمائی اورمیں نے شکر کیا تو نے زیادہ دیا یہ سب مجھ پر تیری نعمتوں کی کثرت اور مجھ پر تیرا احسان و کرم ہے پس تو پاک ہے تو پاک ہے کہ تو آغاز کرنے والا لوٹانے والا تعریف والا بزرگی والا ہے۔ اور پاک ہیں

Thy Names and tremendous Thy bounties. So which of Thy blessings, my God, can I enumerate by counting and mentioning? For which of Thy gifts am I able to give thanks? Since they, O Lord, are more than reckoners can count or those who entrust to memory can attain by knowledge. But the affliction and hardship, O God, that Thou turned and averted from me is more than the health and happiness that came to me. And I

تیرے نام اور بہت بڑی ہیں تیری نعمتیں تو اے میرے خدا! تیری کس نعمت کی گنتی کروں اور اسے یاد کروں یاتیری کون کون سی عطاؤں کا شکر بجا لاؤں اور اے میرے پروردگار یہ تو اتنی زیادہ ہیں کہ شمارکرنے والے انہیں شمار نہیں کرسکتے یا یاد کرنے والے ان کو یاد نہیں رکھ سکتے پھر اے اللہ! جو تکلیفیں اور سختیاں تو نے مجھ سے دور کیں اور ہٹائی ہیں وہ اس آرام اور خوشی سے زیادہ ہیں جو مجھ پر ظاہر ہوئی۔ اور میں

witness, my God, by the truth of my faith, the knotted resolutions of my certainty, my pure and unadulterated profession of Unity, the hidden inwardness of my consciousness, the places to which the streams of light of my eyes are attached, the lines on my forehead’s surface, the openings for my breath’s channels, the parts of my nose’s soft point, the paths of my ears’ canals, what my lips close upon and compress.

گواہی دیتا ہوں اے اللہ! اپنے ایمان کی حقیقت اپنے اٹل ارادوں کی مضبوطی اپنی واضح و آشکار توحید اپنے باطن میں پوشیدہ ضمیر اپنی آنکھوں کے نور سے پیوستہ راستوں اپنی پیشانی کے نقوش کے رازوں اپنے سانس کی رگوں کے سوراخوں اپنی ناک کے نرم و ملائم پردوں اپنے کانوں کی سننے والی جھلیوں اور اپنے چپکنے اور ٹھیک بند ہونے والے ہونٹوں۔

The movements of my tongue in speaking, the joint at the back of my mouth and jaw, the sockets of my molar teeth, the place where I swallow my food and drink, that which bears my brain, the hollow passages of my neck’s fibers, that which is contained in my breast’s cavity, the carriers of my aorta, the places where my heart’s curtain is attached, the small pieces of flesh around my liver, that which the ribs of my sides encompass.

اپنی زبان کی حرکات سے نکلنے والے لفظوں اپنے منہ کے اوپر نیچے کے حصوں کے ہلنے اپنے دانتوں کے اگنے کی جگہوں اپنے کھانے پینے کے ذائقہ دار ہونے اپنے سر میں دماغ کی قرارگاہ اپنی گردن میں غذا کی نالیوں اور ان ہڈیوں، جن سے سینہ کا گھیرا بنا ہے اپنے گلے کے اندر لٹکی ہوئی شہ رگ اپنے دل میں آویزاں پردے اپنے جگر کے بڑھے ہوئے کناروں اپنی ایک دوسری سے ملی اور جھکی ہوئی پسلیوں۔

The sockets of my joints, the contraction of my members, the tips of my fingers, my flesh, my blood, my hair, my skin, my nerves, my windpipe, my bones, my brain, my veins, and all of my members, what was knitted upon them in the days when I was a suckling baby, what the earth carries of me, my sleep, my waking, my being still, and the movements of my bowing and prostrating, that had I taken pains and had I striven for the duration of the epochs and ages were my life to be extended through them

اپنے جوڑوں کے حلقوں اپنےاعضاء کے بندھنوں اپنی انگلیوں کے پوروں اور اپنے گوشت خون اپنے بالوں اپنی جلد اپنے پٹھوں اور نلیوں اپنی ہڈیوں اپنے مغز اپنی رگوں اور اپنے ہاتھ پاؤں اور بدن کی جو میری شیرخوارگی میں پیدا ہوئیں۔ اور زمین پر پڑنے والے اپنے بوجھ اپنی نینداپنی بیداری اپنے سکون اور اپنے رکوع و سجدے کی حرکات ان سب چیزوں پر اگر تیرا شکر ادا کرناچاہوں اور تمام زمانوں اور صدیوں میں کوشاں رہوں اور عمر وفا کرے

to deliver thanks for one of Thy blessings. I would not have been able to do so, except by Thy grace, which alone makes incumbent upon me never-ending and ever renewed gratitude to Thee, and fresh and ever present praise. Indeed, and were I and the reckoners among Thy creatures ever so eager to calculate the extent of Thy bestowal of blessings, whether past or approaching, we would fail to encompass it through numbers

تو بھی میں تیری ان نعمتوں میں سے ایک نعمت کا شکر ادا کرنے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا مگر تیرے احسان کے ذریعے جس سے مجھ پر تیرا ایک اور شکر واجب ہو جاتا ہے اور تیری لگاتارحمد و ثنا واجب ہو جاتی ہے۔ اور اگر میں ایسا کرنا چاہوں اور تیری مخلوق میں سے شمار کرنے والے بھی شمار کرنا چاہیں کہ ہم تیری گزشتہ و آئندہ نعمتیں شمار کریں تو ہم نہ ان کی تعداد کا شمار کر سکیں گے

or to calculate its boundaries. Never how could it ever be done! For Thou announcest in Thy eloquent Book and truthful Tiding, "And if you count God’s blessing, you will never number it". Thy Book, O God, Thy Message, has spoken the truth! And Thy prophets and messengers delivered Thy revelation that Thou hadst sent down upon them and the religion that Thou hadst promulgated for them and through them. And I

اور نہ ان کی مدت کا حساب کرسکیں گے۔ یہ ممکن ہی نہیں ہے کیوں کہ تو نے اپنی خبر دینے والی گویا کتاب میں سچی خبر دے کر بتایا ہے کہ اور اگر تم خدا کی نعمتوں کو گنو تو ان کا حساب نہ لگا سکوگے تیری کتاب سچی ہے اے اللہ! اور تیری خبریں بھی سچی ہیں جو تیرے نبیوں اور رسولوں نے تبلیغ کی وہ سچ ہے جو تو نے ان پر وحی نازل کی وہ سچ ہے اور جو ان کے لئے اور ان کے ذریعے اپنے دین کو جاری کیا وہ سچ ہے۔ دیگر یہ کہ

witness, my God, by my effort, my diligence, and the extent of my obedience and my capacity, and I say as a believer possessing certainty, "Praise belongs to God, who has not taken to Him a son" that He might have an heir, "and who has not any associate in His dominion" who might oppose Him in what He creates, "nor any protector out of humbleness" who would aid Him in what He fashions. So glory be to Him, glory be to Him! "Why, were there gods in earth and heaven other than God, they would surely go to ruin" and be rent.

اے میرے اللہ! گواہی دیتا ہوں میں اپنی محنت و کوشش اور اپنی فرماں برداری و ہمت کے ساتھ اور میں ایمان و یقین سےکہتا ہوں کہ حمد خدا کے لئے ہے جس نے اپنا کوئی بیٹا نہیں بنایا جو اس کا وارث ہو اور نہ ملک و حکومت میں کوئی اس کا شریک ہے جو پیدا کرنے میں اس کا ہم کار ہو اور نہ وہ کمزور ہے کہ اشیاء کے بنانے میں کوئی اس کی مدد کرے پس وہ پاک ہے پاک ہے اگر زمین و آسمان میں خدا کے سوا کوئی معبود ہوتا تو یہ ٹوٹ پھوٹ کر گرپڑتے

Glory be to God, the Unique, the One, "the Everlasting Refuge" who "has not begotten, nor has He been begotten, and equal to Him there is none". Praise belongs to God, praise equal to the praise of the angels stationed near to Him and the prophets sent by Him. And God bless His elect, Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and his virtuous, pure and sincere household, and give them peace.

پاک ہے خدا یگانہ یکتا بے نیاز جس نے نہ کسی کو جنا اور نہ وہ جنا گیا اور نہ کوئی اس کا ہمسر ہے حمد ہے خدا کے لئے برابر اس حمد کے جو اس کے مقرب فرشتوں اور اس کے بھیجے ہوئے نبیوں نے کی ہے اور اس کے پسند کیے ہوئے محمدؐ نبیوں کے خاتم پر خدا کی رحمت ہو اور ان کی آل پر جو نیک پاک خالص ہیں اور ان پر سلام ہو۔

O God, cause me to fear Thee as if I were seeing Thee, give me felicity through piety toward Thee, make me not wretched by disobedience toward Thee, choose the best for me by Thy decree (qadha’) and bless me by Thy determination (qadar), that I may love not the hastening of what Thou hast delayed, nor the delaying of what Thou hast hastened.

اے اللہ! مجھے ایسا ڈرنے والا بنادے گویا تجھے دیکھ رہا ہوں مجھے پرہیزگاری کی سعادت عطا کر اور نافرمانی کے ساتھ بدبخت نہ بنا اپنی قضا میں میرے لئے بہتر اختیار فرما اور اپنی تقدیر میں مجھے برکت عطا فرما یہاں تک کہ جس امر میں تو تاخیر کرے اس میں جلدی نہ چاہوں اور جس میں تو جلدی چاہے اس میں تاخیر نہ چاہوں۔

O God, appoint for me sufficiency in my soul, certainty in my heart, sincerity in my action, light in my eyes, and insight in my religion. Give me enjoyment of my bodily members, make my hearing and my seeing my two inheritors, help me against him who wrongs me, show me in him my revenge and my desires, and console thereby my eyes.

اے اللہ! میرے نفس میں بے نیازی پیدا کردے میرے دل میں یقین میرے عمل میں خلوص میری نگاہ میں نور میرے دین میں سمجھ اور میرے اعضا میں فائدہ پیدا کردے اور میرے کانوں و آنکھوں کو میرا وارث بنادے اور جس نے مجھ پر ظلم کیا اس کے مقابل میری مدد کر مجھے اس سے بدلہ لینے والا بنا یہ آرزو پوری کر اور اس سے میری آنکھیں ٹھنڈی فرما۔

O God, remove my affliction, veil my defects, forgive my offence, drive away my Satan, dissolve my debt, and give me, my God, the highest degree in the world to come and in this world.

اے اللہ! میری سختی دور کردے میری پردہ پوشی فرما میری خطائیں معاف کردے میرے شیطان کو ذلیل کر اور میری ذمہ داری پوری کرادے میرے لئے اے میرے خدا دنیا اور آخرت میں بلند سے بلندترمرتبے قرار دے۔

O God, to Thee belongs the praise, just as Thou created me and made me to hear and to see; and to Thee belongs the praise, just as Thou created me and made me a creature unimpaired as a mercy to me, while Thou hadst no need of my creation. My Lord, since Thou created me and then made straight my nature; my Lord, since Thou caused me to grow and made good my shape; my Lord, since Thou didst good to me and gavest me well-being in my soul.

اے اللہ! حمد تیرے ہی لئے ہے کہ تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا تو نے مجھ کو سننے والا دیکھنے والا بنایا حمدتیرے ہی لئے ہےکہ تو نے مجھے پیدا کیاتونےاپنی رحمت سے بہترین تربیت عطا کی حالانکہ تو مجھے خلق کرنے سے بے نیاز تھا میرے پروردگار تونے مجھے پیدا کیا ہے تو متوازن و متناسب بنایا ہے۔ اے میرے پروردگار تو نے مجھے بنایا ہے تو میری صورت اچھی بنائی ہے اے پروردگار تو نے مجھ پر احسان کیااور مجھے صحت وعافیت دی

My Lord, since Thou preserved me and gavest me success; my Lord, since Thou blessed me and then guided me; my Lord, since Thou chosest me and gavest me of every good; my Lord, since Thou gavest me to eat and drink; my Lord, since Thou enriched me and contented me; my Lord, since Thou aided me and exalted me; my Lord, since Thou clothed me with Thy pure covering and smoothed the way for me by Thy sufficient fashioning.

اے پروردگار تو نے میری حفاظت کی اور توفیق دی اے پروردگار تو نے مجھے نعمت دی تو ہدایت بھی عطا کیاے پروردگار تو نے مجھے اپنی پناہ میں لیا اور ہر بھلائی مجھے عطا فرمائی اے پروردگار تو نے مجھے کھانا اور پانی دیا اے پروردگار تو نے مجھےمال دیا میری نگہبانی کی اے پروردگار تو نے میری مدد کی اور عزّت بخشی اے پروردگار تو نے اپنی عنایت سے مجھےلباس عطا کیا اور اپنی چیزیں میری دسترس میں دی ہیں۔

Bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, aid me against the misfortunes of time and the calamities of nights and days, deliver me from the terrors of this world and the torments of the world to come and spare me from the evil of that which the evildoers do in the earth.

محمدؐ وآلؑ محمدؐ پر رحمت فرمااور زمانے کی سختیوں اور شب و روز کی گردش کے مقابلے میں میری مدد فرما دنیا کے خوفوں اور آخرت کی سختیوں سے مجھے نجات دے اوراس زمین پر ظالموں کے پھیلائے ہوئے فساد سے محفوظ رکھ۔

O God, as for what I fear, spare me from it, and as for what I seek to avoid, guard me against it. in my soul and my religion watch over me, in my travelling protect me, in my family and my property appoint for me a successor, in what Thou hast provided for me bless me, in my soul humble me, in the eyes of men magnify me, from the evil of jinn and men preserve me, for my sins disgrace me not, for my inward secrets shame me not, for my action try me not, of Thy blessings deprive me not and to other than Thee entrust me not.

اے اللہ! حالتِ خوف میں میری مدد فرما اور ہر اس سے بچائے رکھ جس سے میں ڈرتا ہوں میری جان اور میرے ایمان کی نگہداری فرما دورانِ سفر میری حفاظت کر اور میری عدم موجودگی میں میرے مال و اولاد کو نظر میں رکھ جو رزق تو نے مجھے دیا اس میں برکت دے میرے نفس کو میرا اطاعت گزار بنا دے اور لوگوں کی نگاہوں میں مجھے عزّت دے مجھ کو جنّوں اور انسانوں کی بدی سے محفوظ فرما میرے گناہوں پر مجھے بے پردہ نہ کرمیرے باطن سے مجھے رسوا نہ کر میرے عمل پر میری گرفت نہ کر اپنی نعمتیں مجھ سے نہ چھین مجھے اپنے غیر کےحوالے نہ کر۔

My God, to whom wouldst Thou entrust me? To a relative? He would cut me off. Or to a stranger? He would look at me with displeasure. Or to those who act toward me with arrogance? But Thou art my Lord and the sovereign over my affair. I would complain to Thee of my exile and the remoteness of my abode, and that he whom Thou hast made sovereign over me despises me.

میرے خدا تو مجھے جس کے بھی حوالے کرے گا وہ جلد ہی نظریں پھیرے یا تھوڑے عرصے کے بعد مجھ سے نفرت کرے گا یا ان کے حوالے کرے گا جو پست سمجھیں جب کہ تو میرا پروردگار اور میرا مالک ہے میں اپنی اس بے کسی اپنے گھر سے دوری اورجسے تو نے مجھ پر اختیار دیا ہے تجھی سے اس کی شکایت کرتا ہوں۔

My God, so cause not Thy wrath to alight upon me. If Thou becomest not wrathful with me I will have no care, glory be to Thee but Thy protection is more embracing. So I ask Thee, O Lord, by the Light of Thy Face by which the earth and the heavens are illuminated, shadows are removed, and the affairs of the ancients and the later folks are set aright, not to cause me to die when Thy wrath is upon me, nor to send down upon me Thy anger. The pleasure is Thine The pleasure is Thine, to be satisfied with me before that.

میرے اللہ! مجھ پر اپنا غضب نازل نہ فرما پس اگر تو ناراض نہ ہوتو پھر مجھے تیرے سوا کسی کی پروا نہیں تیری ذات پاک ہے تیری مہربانی مجھ پر بہت زیادہ ہے پس مزید سوال کرتا ہوں تیرےنور کے واسطے سےجس سے زمین اور سارے آسمان روشن ہوئے تاریکیاں اس کے ذریعے سے چھٹ گئیں اور اس سے اگلے پچھلے لوگوں کے کام سدھر گئے یہ کہ مجھے موت نہ دے جب تو مجھ سے ناراض ہو اور مجھ پر سختی نہ ڈال تجھ سے معافی کاطالب ہوں معافی کا طالب ہوں حتیٰ کہ تو میری موت سے پہلے مجھ سے راضی ہوجائے۔

There is no god but Thou, Lord of the Holy Land, the Sacred Monument, and the Ancient House, upon which Thou caused blessing to descend and which Thou madest a sanctuary for mankind. O He who pardons the greatest sins by His clemency! O He who lavishes blessings by His bounty! O He who gives abundance by His generosity! O Sustenance to me in my adversity! O Companion to me in my solitude! O Aid to me in my affliction! O Benefactor to me in my blessing!

تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے کہ تو حرمت والے شہر حرمت والے مشعر اور پاکیزہ گھر کعبہ کا رب ہے جس میں تو نے برکت نازل کی اور اسے لوگوں کے لئے جائے امن قرار دیا اےوہ جو اپنی نرمی سے بڑے بڑے گناہ معاف کرتا ہے اے وہ جو اپنے فضل سے نعمتیں کامل کرتا ہے اے وہ جو اپنے کرم سے بہت عطاکرتا ہے اے سختی کے وقت میری مدد پر آمادہ اے تنہائی کے ہنگام میرے ساتھی اے مشکل میں میرے فریادرس اے مجھے نعمت دینےوالے مالک۔

O my God and God of my fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob! Lord of Gabriel, Michael and Israfil! Lord of Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and his household, the chosen ones! Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms and the Criterion, and Sender down of Kaf Ha’ Ya’ Ayn Sad, Ta’ Ha’, Ya’ Sin, and the Wise Quran!

اے میرے معبود اور میرے آباء و اجداد ابراہیمؑ، اسمٰعیلؑ، اسحاقؑ اور یعقوبؑ کے معبود اور مقرب فرشتوں جبرائیل میکائیل اور اسرافیل کے رب اور اے نبیوں کے خاتم حضرت محمدؐ اور ان کے گرامی قدرآل کے رب اے توریت، انجیل، زبور اور قرآن کریم کے نازل کرنے والے اے کٰھٰیٰعص، طٰہٰ،یٰس اور قرآن حکیم کے نازل کرنے والے۔

Thou art my cave (of refuge) when the roads for all their amplitude constrict me and the land for all its breadth is strait for me. If not for Thy mercy, I would have been among the perishing, and Thou overlookest my slip. If not for Thy covering me, I would have been among the disgraced, and Thou confirmest me with help against my enemies. And if not for Thy helping me, I would have been among those overcome.

تو ہی میری جائے پناہ ہے جب زندگی کے وسیع راستے مجھ پر تنگ ہوجائیں اور زمین کشادگی کے باوجود میرے لئے تنگ ہوجائےاور اگر تیری رحمت شاملِ حال نہ ہوتی تو میں تباہ ہوجاتا تو ہی میرے گناہ معاف کرنے والا ہے اور اگر تو میری پردہ پوشی نہ کرتا تو میں رسواہوکر رہ جاتا اور تو اپنی مدد کے ساتھ دشمنوں کے مقابل میں مجھے قوت دینے والا ہے اور اگر تیری مدد حاصل نہ ہوتی تو میں زیر ہو جانےوالوں میں سے ہوجا تا۔

O He who appropriated loftiness and exaltation to Himself, so His friends (awliya) are mighty through His might! O He before whom kings place the yoke of abasement around their necks, for they fear His overwhelming power! "He knows the treachery of the eyes and what the breasts conceal" and the unseen brought by time and fate.

اے وہ جس نے اپنی ذات کو بلندی اور برتری کے لئے خاص کیا اور جس کے دوست اس کی عزّت سے عزّت پاتے ہیں اے وہ جس کے دربار میں بادشاہوں نے اپنی گردنوں میں عاجزی کا طوق پہنا پس وہ اس کے دبدبے سے ڈرتے ہیں وہ آنکھوں کے اشاروں کو اور جوسینوں میں چھپاہے اسے جانتا ہے اور ان غیب کی باتوں کو جانتا ہے جو آئندہ زمانوں میں ظاہر ہوں گی۔

O He about whom none knows how He is but He! O He about whom none knows what He is but He! O He whom none knows but He! O He who squeezed the earth onto the water and held back the air with the sky! O He to whom belong the noblest Names! O He who possesses kindness, which will never be cut off! O He who assigned the cavalcade to Joseph in the barren land, brought him out of the well and made him a king after slavery!

اے وہ جس کی حقیقت کوئی نہیں جانتا مگر وہ خود اے وہ جس کی حقیقت کوئی نہیں جانتا مگر وہ خود اے وہ کوئی جس کا علم نہیں رکھتا مگر وہ خود اے وہ جس نے زمین کو پانی کی سطح پر رکھا ہوا اور ہوا کو فضا ئےآسمان میں باندھا اے وہ جس کے لئے سب سے بہترین نام ہے اےاحسان کے مالک جو کسی وقت میں ختم نہ ہوگا اے یوسفؑ کے لئے بے آب بیابان میں کاروان کو روکنے والے اور انہیں کنوئیں میں سے نکالنے والے اور غلامی کے بعد ان کو بادشاہ بنانے والے۔

O He who returned him to Jacob after "his eyes were whitened with sorrow that he was suppressing". O He who removed affliction and tribulation from Job and restrained Abraham’s hands from the sacrifice of his son after he had reached old age and his life had passed by! O He who answered the prayer of Zachariah and bestowed upon him John, not leaving him childless and alone!

اے یوسفؑ کو یعقوبؑ سے ملانے والے جب کہ ان کی آنکھیں روتےروتے سفید (نابینا) ہوچکی تھیں اور وہ سخت غم زدہ رہتے تھے اے ایوبؑ کو نقصان اور مصیبت سے نجات دینے والے اےاپنے بیٹے کو ذبح کرنے میں ابراہیمؑ کے ہاتھوں کو روکنے والے جب وہ بہت بوڑھے اور زندگی کی آخری منزل میں تھے اے وہ جس نے زکریاؑ کی دعا قبول کی پس انہیں یحییٰؑ عطا کیا اور انہیں یکہ و تنہا نہ چھوڑا تھا۔

O He who brought Jonah out from the stomach of the fish! O He who parted the sea for the Children of Israel, then saved them and drowned Pharaoh and his hosts! O He who sends winds heralding His mercy! O He who does not hurry (to act) against those of His creatures who disobey Him!

اے وہ جس نے یونسؑ کو مچھلی کے پیٹ سے باہر نکالااے وہ جس نے بنی اسرائیل کے لئے دریا میں راستے بنائے پس انہیں نجات دی اور فرعون اور اس کے لشکروں کو غرق کردیا اے وہ جو بارانِ رحمت سے پہلے خوش خبری دینے والی ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے اے وہ جو اپنی مخلوق میں نافرمانی کرنے والے کی گرفت میں جلدی نہیں کرتا۔

O He who rescued the sorcerers after (their) long denial! They had early benefitted from His blessing, eating His provision and worshipping other than Him; they had opposed, denied and cried lies to His messengers. O God! O God! O Beginner, O Creator with no compeer! O Everlasting who has no end! O Living when nothing was alive! O Quickener of the dead! O "He Who is aware of the deserts of every soul".

اے وہ جس نے جادوگروں کو مدتوں کے کفر سے نجات عطا فرمائی جب کہ وہ اس کی نعمتوں سے فائدہ اٹھاتے اس کی دی ہوئی روزی کھاتے اور عبادت اس کے غیر کی کرتے تھے وہ خدا سے دشمنی کرتے شرک کی راہ پر چلتے اوراس کے رسولوں کو جھٹلاتے تھے اے اللہ اے اللہ! اے آغاز کرنے والے اے پیدا کرنے والے تیرا کوئی ثانی نہیں اے ہمیشگی والےتجھے فنا نہیں اے زندہ جب کوئی زندہ نہ تھا اے مردوں کو زندہ کرنے والے اے ہر نفس کے اعمال پر نگہبان جو اس نے انجام دیے۔

O He toward whom my gratitude was little, yet He deprived me not! My transgression was great, yet He disgraced me not! He saw me committing acts of disobedience, yet he made me not notorious! O He who watched over me in childhood! O He who provided for me in my adulthood! O He whose favors toward me cannot be reckoned and whose blessings cannot be repaid! O He who has confronted me with the good and the fair, and I have confronted Him with evil and disobedience in return!

اے وہ میں نے جس کا شکر کم کیا تب بھی اس نے مجھے محروم نہ کیا میں نے بڑی بڑی خطائیں کیں تب بھی اس نے مجھے رسوا نہ کیا اس نے مجھے نافرمان دیکھا تو پردہ فاش نہ کیا اے وہ جس نے میرے بچپنے میں میری حفاظت کی اے وہ جس نے میرے بڑھاپے میں روزی دی اے وہ جس کی نعمتوں کا کوئی شمار ہی نہیں اور جس کی نعمتوں کا کوئی بدلہ نہیں اے وہ جس نے مجھ سے بھلائی اور احسان کیااور میں نے برائی اور نافرمانی پیش کی۔

O He who led me to faith before I had come to know gratitude for His gracious bestowal O He upon whom I called when I was sick and He healed me, when naked and He clothed me, when hungry and He satisfied me, when thirsty and He gave me to drink, when abased and He exalted me, when ignorant and He gave me knowledge, when alone and He increased my number, when away and He returned me, when empty-handed and He enriched me, when in need of help and He helped me, and when rich and He took not from me. I refrained from (calling upon Thee in) all of that

اے وہ جس نے مجھے ایمان کی راہ بتائی اس سے پہلے کہ اس پر میری طرف سے شکر ادا ہوتا اےوہ جسے میں نے بیماری میں پکارا تو مجھے شفا دی عریانی میں پکارا تو لباس دیا بھوک میں پکارا تو مجھے سیر کیاپیاس میں پکارا تو سیراب کیا پستی میں عزّت دی نادانی میں معرفت بخشی تنہائی میں کثرت دی سفر سےوطن پہنچایا تنگ دستی میں مجھے مال دیامدد مانگی تو میری مدد فرمائی تونگر تھا تو میرا مال نہیں چھینا اور میں نے ان چیزوں کا شکر نہ کیاتو

and Thou caused me to begin (to call). Thine are the praise and the gratitude! O He who overlooked my slip, relieved my distress, heard my prayer, covered my defects, forgave my sins, caused me to reach my desire, and helped me against my enemy! If I were to count Thy blessings, favors and generous acts of kindness I would not be able to reckon them.

اس نے دینے میں پہل کی۔ پس ساری تعریف اور شکرتیرے ہی لئے ہے اے وہ جس نے میری لغزش معاف کی میری تکلیف دور کی میری دعا قبول فرمائی میرے عیبوں کو چھپایا میرے گناہ بخش دیے میری حاجت پوری کی اور دشمن کے خلاف میری مدد کی اور اگر میں تیری نعمتوں تیرے احسانوں اور عطاؤں کو شمار کروں تو شمار نہیں کرسکتا۔

O my Protector! Thou art He who was gracious, Thou art He who blessed, Thou art He who worked good, Thou art He who was kind, Thou art He who was bounteous, Thou art He who perfected, Thou art He who provided, Thou art He who gave success, Thou art He who bestowed, Thou art He who enriched,

اے میرے مالک تو وہ ہے جس نے احسان کیا تو وہ ہے جس نے نعمت دی تو وہ ہے جس نے بہتری کی تو وہ ہے جس نے جمال دیا تو وہ ہے جس نےبڑائی دی تو وہ ہے جس نے کمال عطا کیا تو وہ ہے جس نے روزی دی تو وہ ہے جس نے توفیق دی تو وہ ہے جس نے عطا کیا تو وہ ہےجس نے مال دیا

Thou art He who contented, Thou art He who sheltered, Thou art He who sufficed, Thou art He who guided, Thou art He who preserved (from sin), Thou art He who covered (my sins), Thou art He who forgave, Thou art He who overlooked, Thou art He who established (in the earth), Thou art He who exalted, Thou art He who aided, Thou art He who supported, Thou art He who confirmed, Thou art He who helped, Thou art He who healed, Thou art He who gave well-being, Thou art He who honored blessed art Thou and high exalted! So Thine is the praise everlastingly, and Thine is gratitude enduringly and forever! Then I,

تو وہ ہے جس نے نگہداری کی تو وہ ہے جس نے پناہ دی تو وہ ہے جس نے کام بنایا تو وہ ہے جس نےہدایت کی تو وہ ہے جس نے گناہ سے بچایا تو وہ ہے جس نے پردہ پوشی کی تو وہ ہے جس نے معاف کیا تو وہ ہےجس نے بخش دیا تو وہ ہے جس نے قدرت دی تو وہ ہے جس نے عزّت بخشی تو وہ ہے جس نے مدد کی تو وہ ہے جس نےسہارا دیا تو وہ ہے جس نے حمایت کی تو وہ ہے جس نے مدد کی تو وہ ہے جس نے شفا دی تو وہ ہے جس نے آرام دیا تو وہ ہے جس نےبزرگی دی تو بڑا برکت والا اور برتر ہے ہمیشہ پس حمد ہی تیرے لئے ہے اور شکر لگاتار ہمیشہ ہمیشہ تیرے ہی لئے ہے۔ پھر میں ہوں

my God, confess my sins, so forgive me for them. I am he who did evil, I am he who made mistakes, I am he who purposed (to sin), I am he who was ignorant, I am he who was heedless, I am he who was negligent, I am he who relied (upon other than Thee), I am he who premeditated, I am he who promised, I am he who went back on his word, I am he who confessed (my sins) and I am he who acknowledged Thy blessings upon me and with me and then returned to my sins.

اے میرے معبود!اپنے گناہوں کا اعتراف کرنے والا پس مجھے ان سے معافی دے میں وہ ہوں جس نے برائی کی میں وہ ہوں جس نے خطا کی میں وہ ہوں جس نے برا ارادہ کیا میں وہ ہوں جس نے نادانی کی میں وہ ہوں جس سے بھول ہوئی میں وہ ہوں جو چوک گیا میں نے خود پر اعتماد کیا میں نے دانستہ گناہ کیا میں وہ ہوں جس نے وعدہ کیا میں وہ ہوں جس نے وعدہ خلافی کی میں وہ ہوں جس نے عہد توڑا میں وہ ہوں جو اقرار کرتا اور میں وہ ہوں جو تیری نعمتوں کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں جو مجھے ملی ہیں اور میرےپاس ہیں۔ مجھ پر گناہوں کا بڑا بوجھ ہے

So forgive me for them, O He who is not harmed by the sins of His servants nor needs He their obedience. He gives success through His aid and His mercy to whomsoever of them works righteousness. So praise belongs to Thee, My God and My Lord! My God, Thou commanded me and I disobeyed and Thou forbade me and I committed what Thou hadst forbidden.

پس مجھے معاف کردے اے وہ جسے اس کے بندوں کے گناہ نقصان نہیں پہنچاتے اور وہ ان کی بندگی سے بے نیاز ہے اور توفیق دیتا ہے اسے اپنی مہربانی اور مدد سے جو ان میں سے نیک عمل کرے پس حمد تیرے ہی لئے ہےاے میرے معبود و سردار اے میرے معبود! تو نے حکم دیاتو میں نے نافرمانی کی جس سے تو نے مجھے روکا میں وہ کام کر گزرا۔

I became such that I neither possessed any of guiltlessness that I might ask forgiveness nor any power that I might be helped. Then by what means shall I turn toward Thee, O my Protector!? What, by my ears? Or my eyes? Or my tongue? Or my hand? Or my leg? Are not all of them Thy blessings given to me? And with all of them I disobey Thee, O my Protector! Thine is the argument and the means against me.

پس حال یہ ہے کہ نہ گناہ سے بری ہوں کہ عذر کروں نہ یہ طاقت ہے کہ کامیاب ہوجاؤں پس کیا چیزلے کر تیرے سامنے آؤں اے میرے مالک آیا اپنے کان یا اپنی آنکھ یا اپنی زبان یا اپنے ہاتھ یا اپنے پاؤں کے ساتھ کیا یہ سب میرے پاس تیری نعمتیں نہیں ہیں ؟اور ان سب کے ساتھ میں نے تیری نافرمانی کی اے میرے مولا! پس تیرے پاس میرے خلاف حجت اور دلیل ہے۔

O He who veiled me (my sins) from fathers and mothers lest they drive me away, from relatives and brothers lest they rebuke me, and from kings lest they punish me! If they had seen, O my Protector, what Thou hast seen from me, they would not have given me respite, they would have abandoned me and cut me off. So here I am, O my God, before Thee O Lord, humbled, abased, constrained, despised, neither possessing guiltlessness that I might ask forgiveness nor possessing power that I might be helped.

اے وہ جس نے ماں باپ سے میری پردہ پوشی کی کہ وہ مجھے دھتکار دیں گے اہلِ قبیلہ اور بھائی بندوں سے میرا پردہ رکھا کہ مجھے ڈانٹ دیں گے اورحاکموں سے میرا پردہ رکھا کہ وہ مجھے سزا دیں گے اے میرے مولا اگر وہ میرے بارے میں وہ جان لیتے جو کچھ تو جانتا ہے تو وہ مجھےکبھی مہلت نہ دیتے مجھے چھوڑ جاتے اور قطع تعلق کر جاتے پس اے میرے معبود میں تیرے سامنے حاضر ہوں اے میرے سردارمیں پست عاجز قیدی بے بضاعت ہوں نہ گناہ سے بری ہوں کہ عذر کروں اور نہ طاقت ہے کہ کامیاب ہو جاؤں۔

There is no argument with which I might argue, nor can I say I committed not (sins) and worked not evil. And denial, were I to deny-my Protector-could hardly profit me. How could it ever do that? For all of my members are witness against me for what I have done. And I know with certainty and without any doubt that Thou wilt ask me about great affairs, and that Thou art the equitable Judge who does no wrong. Thy justice is deadly for me and I flee from Thy every just act. If thou chastisest me, O my God, it is for my sins after Thy argument against me; and if Thou pardonest me, it is by Thy clemency, generosity and kindness.

نہ کوئی دلیل ہےکہ وہ پیش کروں نہ یہ کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ گناہ نہیں کیا اور نہ یہ کہ برائی نہیں کی اس سے انکار کا کوئی راستہ نہیں اور اگر انکار کروں تواے میرے مولا اس کا کچھ فائدہ نہیں اور ایسا کیوں کر ہو سکتا ہے جب میرے اعضا ء مجھ پرگواہ ہیں کہ جو کچھ میں نے عمل کیا ہے اور میں جانتا ہوں یقین کے ساتھ جس میں شک نہیں ضرور تو بڑے معاملوں میں میری بازپرس کرے گا بلا شبہ تو انصاف کا فیصلہ دینے والاہے کہ جو زیادتی نہیں کرتا تیرا انصاف مجھے نابود کردے گا اور میں تیرے ہر عدل سے ڈرتا بھاگتا ہوں پس اگر تو مجھے عذاب دےاے میرے اللہ! تو وہ میرے گناہوں کی وجہ سے مجھ پر تیری حجت ہے اور اگر تو مجھے معاف فرما دے تو یہ تیری طرف سے مہربانی تیری بخشش اور تیرے کرم کا نتیجہ ہے۔

"There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee l Truly I am one of the wrong-doers". There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of those who pray forgiveness. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee I Truly I am one of those who profess Thy Unity. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of the fearful. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee I Truly I am one of those who are afraid. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of the hopeful.

تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں ستم گاروں میں سے ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں معافی مانگنے والوں میں سے ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں توحید پرستوں میں سے ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں تجھ سے ڈرنے والوں میں سے ہوں تیرے سواکوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں خوف رکھنے والوں میں سے ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں امیدواروں میں سے ہوں۔

There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of those who yearn. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of those who say "There is no god but Thou". There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of the petitioners. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of the glorifiers. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee! Truly I am one of those who magnify. There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee, my Lord, and the Lord of my fathers, the ancients!

تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں توجہ کرنے والوں میں سے ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں نام لیواؤں میں ہوں، نہیں کوئی معبود سوائے تیرے تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں سوال کرنے والوں میں ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے بے شک میں تسبیح کرنے والوں میں ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہےبے شک میں تکبیر کہنے والوں میں ہوں تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو پاک تر ہے کہ میرا رب اور میرے پہلے بزرگوں کا رب ہے۔

My God, this is my praise of Thee exalting Thy majesty, my sincerity in remembering Thee by professing Thy Unity, and my acknowledgment of Thy bounties by enumeration, even though I acknowledge that I cannot reckon them for their multitude, their abundance, their manifestness and their existence from ancient times until a present in which Thou hast never ceased to care for me through them from when Thou created me and brought me into existence in the beginning of (my) life, by enriching from poverty, relieving affliction, bringing ease, removing hardship, dispelling distress, and (giving me) well-being in body and soundness in religion.

اے معبود!میری طرف سے یہ تیری ثنا ہے تیری شان بیان کرتے ہوئے یہ تیرے ذکر کے بارے میں میرا خلوص توحید کو مانتے ہوئےاور میری طرف سے یہ تیری مہربانیوں کا اقرار ہے ان کو شمار کرتے ہوئے اگرچہ یہ مانتا ہوں کہ میں ان کا شمار نہیں کرسکتا کیوں کہ وہ زیادہ ہیں اور بہت سی ہیں وہ ظاہر ہیں اور پہلے سے اب تک مل رہی ہیں تو نے مجھ کو یہ نعمات دینے میں ہمیشہ یاد رکھا ہے۔ جب سے تو نے مجھے پیدا کیا اور اول عمر میں مجھے بے مائیگی وتنگ دستی میں تونگری کا حصہ عنایت فرمایا تنگ دستی سے بچایا آسائش کے اسباب فراہم کیے اور سختی دور فرمائی مصیبت سے چھٹکارا دلایا جسمانی صحت نصیب کی اور دین و ایمان پر پوری طرح قائم رکھااور

Were all the world’s inhabitants, both the ancients and the later folk, to assist me in attempting to mention Thy blessing, I would not be able, nor would they, to do so. Holy art Thou and high exalted, a generous, mighty, merciful Lord. Thy bounties cannot be reckoned, nor Thy praise accomplished, nor Thy blessings repaid. Bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, complete Thy blessings upon us and aid us in Thy obedience.

اگر تیری نعمتوں کا اندازہ کرنےکے لئے تمام جہان کے لوگ اولین اور آخرین میں سے میرا ساتھ دیں تو بھی میں اندازہ نہ کر سکوں گااور نہ ہی وہ اندازہ کرسکیں گے تو پاکیزہ ہے اور بلند تر ہے اے پروردگار شان والا بڑائی والا رحم والا تیری مہربانیوں کا شمار نہیں تیری تعریف کا حق ادا نہیں ہو پاتا اور تیری نعمتوں کا بدلہ نہیں دیا جاسکتا محمدؐ و آلؑ محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور ہم پر اپنی نعمتیں پوری فرمااپنی بندگی کے ساتھ خوش بخت بنا دے۔

Glory be to Thee! There is no god but Thou. O God, truly Thou hearest the destitute, removest the evil, succourest the afflicted, healest the sick, enrichest the poor, mendest the broken, hast mercy upon the young and helpest the old. There is no Support other than Thee and none powerful over Thee. And Thou art the Sublime, the Great. O Freer of the prisoner in irons! O Provider of the infant child O Protection of the frightened refugee!

پاک تر ہے تو تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اے اللہ تو بے شک لاچار کی دعا قبول کرتا ہےبرائی دور کرتا ہے مصیبت زدہ کی فریاد کو پہنچتا ہے بیمار کو صحت دیتا ہے مفلس کو مال دیتا ہے ٹوٹے ہوئے کو جوڑتا ہےچھوٹے پر رحم کرتا ہے بڑے کی مدد کرتا ہے اور تیرے سوا کوئی سہار ا دینے والا نہیں ہے اور تجھ پر کوئی غالب نہیں ہے تو برتربزرگی والا ہے اے قیدی کو پھندے سے چھڑانے والے اے ننھے بچے کو روزی دینے والے اے ڈرے ہوئے پناہ کے طالب کوبچانے والے۔

O He who has no associate and no assistant! Bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, and give me this evening the best of what Thou hast given to and bestowed upon any of Thy servants, whether a blessing Thou assignest, a bounty Thou renewest, a trial Thou avertest, an affliction Thou removest, a prayer Thou hearest, a good deed Thou acceptest or an evil deed Thou over lookest. Truly Thou art gracious, Aware of what Thou wilt, and Powerful over all things!

اے وہ ذات جس کا کوئی ثانی نہیں نہ کوئی وزیر محمدؐ و آل محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور آج کی شب مجھے اس سے بہتر دے جو تو نے کسی کو دیا ہے اور اپنے بندوں میں سے کسی کو کوئی نعمت عطا فرمائی اور جو مہربانیاں کسی پر کی ہیں اور جو سختی دور کی ہے جو مصیبت ہٹائی ہے جو دعا تو نے سنی ہے جو نیکی قبول کی ہے اور جو برائی معاف کی ہے بے شک جس پر چاہے تو لطف کرتا ہے اور خبر رکھتا ہے اور ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

O God, truly Thou art the nearest of those who are called, the swiftest of those who answer, the most generous of those who pardon, the most openhanded of those who give and the most hearing of those who are asked of. O Merciful and Compassionate in this world and the next! Like Thee none is asked of; and other than Thee none is hoped for. I prayed to Thee and Thou answered me, I asked of Thee and Thou gavest to me, I set Thee as my quest and Thou hadst mercy upon me, I depended upon Thee and Thou delivered me, I took refuge with Thee and Thou sufficed me.

اے اللہ بے شک تو قریب تر ہےجسے پکارا جاتا ہے تو تیز تر ہے جو قبول کرتا ہے معاف کرنے والوں میں بہترین عطا کرنے والوں میں زیادہ عطا والا اور سوالی کی بہت سننے والا اے دنیا و آخرت میں رحم کرنے والے اور دونوں جگہ پر مہربان کوئی تیرے جیسا نہیں جس سے سوال کیا جائے اورسوائے تیرے کوئی نہیں جس سے امید رکھی جائے میں نے دعا کی تو نے قبول کی میں نے مانگا پس تو نے عطا کیا میں نے تیری طرف توجہ کی پس تو نے رحمت فرمائی تیرا سہارا لیا پس تو نے نجات دی میں نے تیری پناہ لی تو نے میری مدد فرمائی۔

O God, so bless Muhammad, Thy servant, messenger and prophet, and his good and pure household, all of them. And complete Thy blessings upon us, gladden us with Thy gift and inscribe us as those who thank Thee and remember Thy bounties. Aamen, aamen, O Lord of all beings!

اے اللہ حضرت محمدؐ پر رحمت فرماجو تیرے بندے تیرے رسولؐ اور تیرے نبیؐ ہیں اور ان کی آل پر جو سب کے سب بے عیب اور پاک تر ہیں اور ہم پر اپنی نعمتیں پوری کراور ہم پر خوش گوار عطائیں فرما ہمیں اپنے شکر گزاروں میں رکھ دے اور اپنے احسانوں کا ذکر کرنے والوں میں رکھ ایسا ہی ہو ایسا ہی ہواے جہانوں کے پروردگار۔

O God, O He who owned and then was all-powerful, was all-powerful and then subjected, was disobeyed and then veiled (the sin of disobedience) and was prayed forgiveness and then forgave. O Goal of yearning seekers and utmost Wish of the hopeful! O He who "encompasses everything in knowledge" and embraces those who seek pardon in tenderness, mercy and clemency!

اے اللہ اے وہ مالک جو باقدرت ہے اے با قدرت جو غالب ہے اے وہ جو نافرمانی کو ڈھانپتا ہے اوربخشش چاہنے پر بخشتا ہے اے طلب گاروں کی توجہ کرنے والوں کی امید گاہ اور آرزومندوں کے مقامِ آرزو اے وہ کہ جس کا علم ہر چیز کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے اور تو بہ کرنے والوں کے لئے محبت و مہربانی اور ملائمت ونرمی سے جس کا دامن وسیع ہے۔

O God, truly we turn towards Thee this evening, which Thou honored and glorified through Muhammad, Thy prophet and messenger, the elect of Thy creation, the faithful guardian of Thy-revelation the bearer of good tidings, the warner, the light-giving lamp, whom Thou gavest to those who surrender (al-muslemeen) and appointed as a mercy to the world’s inhabitants.

اے اللہ ہم نے توجہ کی ہے تیری طرف آج کی رات میں جسے تو نے بزرگی اور بڑائی دی حضرت محمدؐ کے ذریعے جو تیرے نبیؐ تیرے رسولؐ اور مخلوقات میں سے تیرے چنے ہوئے تیری وحی کے امانت دار بشارت دینے والے ڈرانے والے روشن چراغ ہیں جن کے وجود کو تو نے مسلمانوں کے لئے نعمت بنایا اور ان کو سارے جہانوں کے لئے رحمت قراردیا۔

O God, so bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, just as Muhammad is worthy of that from Thee, O Sublime! So bless him and his elect, good and pure household, all of them, and encompass us in Thy pardon, for to Thee cry voices in diverse languages. So appoint for us

اے اللہ محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور ان کی آل پر جیسا کہ حضرت محمدؐتیری طرف سے اس کے لائق ہیں اے بزرگ تر ان پر اور ان کی آلؑ پر رحمت نازل کر جو سب کے سب بلند تر نیک طبیعت اور پاک ہیں اور ہمیں معافی دے کر ہماری پردہ پوشی کر کیوں کہ تیرے حضور فریادیں ہو رہی ہیں ہر ہر ملک کی زبان میں۔

a share this evening, O God, of every good which Thou dividest among Thy servants, every light by which Thou guidest, every mercy which Thou spreadest, every blessing which Thou sendest down, every well-being with which Thou clothest and every provision which Thou outspreadest. O Most merciful of the merciful!

پس اے اللہ آج کی رات میں ہر نیکی میں سے حصہ قراردے ہمارے لئے جو تو نے اپنے بندوں کے درمیان تقسیم کی نورمیں جس سے ہدایت فرمائی رحمت میں جو عام کی برکت میں جو تو نے نازل کی عافیت کے لباس میں جو تو نے پہنایا رزق میں جو وسیع کیا اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

O God, transform us now into men successful, triumphant, pious, and prosperous. Set us not among those who despair, empty us not of Thy mercy, deprive us not of that bounty of Thine for which we hope, and set us not among those deprived of Thy mercy, nor those who despair of the bounty of Thy gift for which we hope. Reject us not with the disappointed, nor those driven from Thy door.

اے اللہ اس وقت ہمیں بدل کر بنا دے کامیاب ہو نے والے فلاح پانے والے پسندیدہ عمل والے اور نفع اٹھانے والے اور ہمیں مایوس ہونے والوں میں قرار نہ دے ہمیں اپنی رحمت سے دور نہ کر ہمیں اس چیز میں سےمحروم نہ فرما جس کی تیرے فضل میں سے امید کریں اور ہم کو اپنی رحمت سے محروم و خالی قرارنہ دے تیری عطا میں سے جس عنایت کی امید کریں اس سے مایوس نہ فرما ہمیں ناکام کرکے نہ پلٹا اور اپنی بارگاہ سے دھتکارے ہوئے قرار نہ دے۔

O Most Magnanimous of the most magnanimous! O Most Generous of the most generous! Toward Thee we have turned having sure faith, repairing to and bound for Thy Sacred House. So help us with our holy rites, perfect for us our pilgrimage, pardon us, and give us well-being, for we have extended toward Thee our hands and they are branded with the abasement of confession.

اے بہت عطاوالوں میں بڑی عطا والے اور عزّت داروں میں بڑی عزّت والے ہم تیری درگاہ میں لوٹ کے آئے ہیں معتقد بن کر ہم تیرے محترم گھرکعبہ میں پکار کرتے ہوئے آئے ہیں پس اعمالِ حج میں ہماری مدد فرما اور ہمارا حج مکمل کرادے ہمیں معاف فرما پناہ دے کہ ہم نےاپنے ہاتھ تیرے آگے پھیلائے ہیں کہ جن پر گناہوں کے اقرار و اعتراف کے نشان ہیں۔

O God, so give us this evening what we have asked of Thee and suffice us in that in which we have prayed Thee to suffice us, for there is none to suffice us apart from Thee and we have no lord other than Thee. Put into effect concerning us is Thy decision, encompassing us is Thy knowledge and just for us is Thy decree. Decree for us the good and place us among the people of the good!

اے اللہ! پس ہمیں آج کی رات میں جو ہم نے تجھ سے مانگا عطا فرما تمام کاموں میں ہماری مدد کر کہ تیرے سوا کوئی ہماری کفایت کرنے والا نہیں اور سوائے تیرے کوئی ہمارارب نہیں کہ تیرا حکم ہی ہم پر جاری ہے تیرا علم ہمیں گھیرے ہوئے ہے ہمارے لئے تیرا فیصلہ درست ہے ہمارے لئے اچھا فیصلہ کراور ہمیں نیکوکاروں میں سے قراردے۔

O God make incumbent upon us through Thy magnanimity the mightiest wage, the most generous treasure and the lastingness of ease. Forgive us our sins, all of them, destroy us not with those who perish, and turn not Thy tenderness and mercy away from us, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

اے اللہ ہمارے لئے اپنی عطا سے بہت بڑا اجر بہترین ذخیرہ اور ہمیشہ کی آسائش واجب کردے ہمارے سارے کے سارے گناہ بخش دے اور ہمیں تباہ ہونے والوں کے ساتھ تباہ نہ کر اور اپنی مہربانی اور رحمت ہم سے دور نہ فرما اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

O God, place us in this hour among those who ask of Thee and to whom Thou givest, who thank Thee and whom Thou increasest, who turn to Thee in repentance and whom Thou acceptest and who renounce all of their sins before Thee and whom Thou forgivest, O Lord of majesty and splendor!

اے اللہ! اس وقت ہمیں ان لوگوں میں قراردے جنہوں نے تجھ سے مانگا تونے عطا کیا جنہوں نے شکر کیا تو نے زیادہ دیا تیری طرف پلٹے تو نے انہیں قبول کیا اپنے گناہوں کے ساتھ تیری طرف آئےتو ان کے سبھی گناہ معاف کردیئے اے جلالت و عزّت کے مالک۔

O God, purify us, show us the right way and accept our entreaty. O Best of those from whom is asked! And O Most Merciful of those whose mercy is sought! O He from whom is not hidden the eyelids’ winking, the eyes’ glancing, that which rests in the concealed, and that which is enfolded in hearts’ hidden secrets I What, has not all of that been reckoned in Thy knowledge and embraced by Thy clemency? Glory be to Thee and high indeed art Thou exalted above what the evil-doers say! The seven heavens and the earths and all that is therein praise Thee, and there is not a thing but hymns Thy praise.

اے اللہ! ہمیں پاک کر ہماری رہنمائی فرما اور ہمارے گریہ و زاری قبول کراے بہترین سوال شدہ اور طلبِ رحمت پر زیادہ رحمت کرنے والے اے وہ جس پر پوشیدہ نہیں ہے پلک کا جھپکنا نہ آنکھوں کا اشارہ نہ وہ چیز جو پردے کے نیچے ہو اور نہ وہ بات جو دلوں کے پردوں میں لپٹی ہوئی ہو ہاں ان سب کو تیرے علم نے شمار کررکھا ہے اور تیری نرمی ان پر چھائی ہوئی ہے تو پاک تر اور بلند تر ہے اس سے جو ناحق کہنے والے کہتے ہیں تو بلندتر بزرگ تر ہے تیری پاکیزگی بیان کرتے ہیں ساتوں آسمان اور ساتوں زمینیں اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے نہیں کوئی چیز موجود ہے مگروہ تیری حمد کررہی ہے۔

So Thine is the praise, the glory and the exaltation of majesty, O Lord of majesty and splendor, of bounty and blessing and of great favor! And Thou art the Magnanimous, the Generous, the Tender, the Compassionate. O God, give me amply of Thy lawful provision, bestow upon me well-being in my body and my religion, make me safe from fear and deliver me from the Fire. O God, devise not against me, lead me not on step by step, trick me not and avert from me the evil of the ungodly among jinn and men.

پس حمد اور بزرگی اور بلند شان تیرے لئے ہے اے جلالت و عزّت کے مالک فضل کرنے والے نعمت دینے والے بڑی بڑی عطائیں کرنے والے اور تو بخشش کرنے والا کرم کرنے والا نرمی کرنے والا مہربان ہے۔ اے اللہ میرے لئے اپنا رزقِ حلال وسیع فرما میرے بدن اور میرے دین کی حفاظت فرما مجھے خوف سے بچا اور میری گردن کو جہنم کی آگ سے آزاد کردے اے اللہ!مجھے غلط فہمی میں نہ ڈال دھوکے میں نہ رکھ مجھے فریب نہ کھانے دے اور نابکار و[بدذات] جنّوں اور انسانوں کو مجھ سے دور کر دے۔

O Most Hearing of those who hear! O Most Seeing of those who behold! O Swiftest of reckoners! O Most Merciful of the merciful! Bless Muhammad and the household of Muhammad, the chiefs, the fortunate. And, I ask of Thee, O God, my need. If Thou grantest it to me, what Thou holdest back from me will cause me no harm; and if Thou holdest it back from me, what Thou grantest me will not profit me. I ask Thee to deliver me from the Fire. There is no god but Thou alone, Thou hast no associate. Thine is the dominion, and Thine is the praise, and Thou art powerful over everything. O my Lord! O my Lord…

اے سب سے زیادہ سننے والے! اے سب سے زیادہ دیکھنے والے اے سب سے تیز ترحساب کرنے والے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے محمدؐ و آلؑ محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما جو برکت والے سردار ہیں اورمیں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں اے اللہ اپنی اس حاجت کا کہ اگر تو وہ عطا کردے تو جو کچھ تو نے نہیں دیا اس سے مجھے نقصان نہیں اور اگر تو وہ عطا نہ کرے تو جو تونے دیا اس سے مجھے کوئی نفع نہیں سوال کرتا ہوں کہ میری گردن جہنم سے آزاد کردے تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو یکتا ہے تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں تیرے لئے حکومت تیرے لئے حمد ہے اور تو ہر ایک چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے اے میرے رب اے میرے رب۔۔۔

…O my God, I am needy despite my richness; so, how can I not be needy in my neediness? O my God, I am ignorant despite my knowledge; so, how can I not be ignorant in my ignorance? O my God, the variety of Your regulating of matters and the swiftness of changes in Your ordainments have urged Your servants, who recognize You, not to stop at a certain gift and not to despair of You in tribulations. O my God, coming out of me is that which fits my lowliness; but coming from You is that which befits Your nobleness.

۔۔۔میرے اللہ! میں اپنی تونگری میں بھی محتاج ہوں تو اپنے فقر کی حالت میں کیوں نہ محتاج ہوں گا میرے اللہ میں علم رکھتے ہوئےبھی جاہل ہوں تو اپنی جہالت میں کیوں نہ جاہل ہوں گا اے اللہ بے شک تیری تدبیر کے ردّوبدل اور تیری جلد وارد ہونے والی تقدیر نے تیری معرفت رکھنے والے بندوں کو تیری عطا کی امید نہ رکھنے اور مشکل کے وقت تجھ سے مایوس ہو جانے سے روکا ہوا ہےمیرے اللہ میں نے وہ کیا جو میری پستی کا تقاضا ہے اور تو وہ کرے گا جو تیری بڑائی کے لائق ہے۔

O my God, You had ascribed to Yourself gentleness and kindness to me before the existence of my weakness. Will You deprive me of these two after the emergence of my weakness? O my God, if amenities appear in my conduct, then that is on account of Your favors and Your conferral on me. If evildoings appear in my conduct, then that is still Your justice and You have claim against me.

میرے اللہ میری کمزوری سے پہلےہی تیری ذات لطف و کرم کے اوصاف رکھتی ہے تو کیا میری کمزوری کے بعد مجھ سے تو یہ مہربانیاں روک دے گامیرے اللہ اگر مجھ سے نیکیاں ظاہر ہوئیں تو یہ تیرا فضل ہے اور مجھ پر یہ تیرا احسان ہے اور اگر مجھ سے برائیوں کا ظہور ہوا ہے تو یہ تیراعدل ہے اور مجھ پر تیری حجت قائم ہو گئی ہے۔

O my God, how may it be that You abandon me after You have vouched for me? How may I be aggrieved and You are my support? How may I be disappointed and You are undertaking my affairs? Here I am begging You by my need for You. How can I beg You by something that is impossible to reach You? How can I complain to You about my manners while they cannot be hidden from You? How can I interpret my words while You are their source? How come that You may let down my hopes, while they are addressed to You? How come that You may not improve my conditions while they are originated by You?

میرے اللہ کیسے تو مجھ کو چھوڑ دے گا جب کہ تو میرا کفیل ہے کیوں کر میں روند دیا جاؤں جب کہ تو میرا مددگار ہے یا کیسے بے آس ہوجاؤں جب کہ تو مجھ پر مہربان ہے اب میں تیری درگاہ میں اپنے فقر کے ساتھ آیا ہوں اور کس طرح تجھے اپنا وسیلہ بناؤں جب کہ یہ ناممکن ہے کہ کوئی تجھ تک پہنچ پائے یا کیوں کر تجھ سے اپنے حالات کی شکایت کروں جب کہ وہ تجھ سے پوشیدہ نہیں ہیں یا کس طرح اپنی زبان سے ان کی تشریح کروں جب کہ وہ تیری طرف سے اور تجھ پر ظاہر ہیں یا کیوں کر میری آرزوئیں ناکام رہیں گی جب کہ یہ تیری بارگاہ میں پیش کی جا چکی ہیں یا کیوں کر میرے حالات بہتر نہ ہوں گے جب کہ میں تیری وجہ سے قائم ہوں۔

O my God, how gentle You are to me despite my notorious ignorance! How merciful You are to me despite my hideous deeds! O my God, how nigh to me You are and how far from You I am! How kind to me You are; so, what is that which can prevent me from You? O my God, I have known, through variety of signs and changes of phases, that what You want from me is that You introduce Yourself to me in all things so that I will not ignore You in any thing.

میرے اللہ تیرا کتنا لطف ہے مجھ پر جب کہ میں بڑا ہی نادان ہوں اور تو کس قدر مہربان ہے مجھ پر جب کہ میں خطاکار ہوں میرے اللہ تو کتنا نزدیک ہے مجھ سے جب کہ میں تجھ سے بہت دور ہوں اور تو مجھ پر کتنا مہربان ہے پھر کس نے مجھے تجھ سے ہٹا دیا ہےمیرے اللہ دنیا کے حالات کی تبدیلیوں اور طریقوں کے تغیرات کے ذریعے میں جان گیا کہ تیری مراد یہ ہے کہ تو ہر چیز سے مجھے اپنی شناسائی کرائے تاکہ میں کسی چیز کے ضمن میں تیری قدرت سے ناواقف نہ رہوں۔

O my God, whenever my lowliness suppresses my voice, Your nobility encourages me to speak. Whenever my features lead me to despair (of You), Your bestowals make me crave for You. O my God, as for he whose good deeds are wrongdoings; how can his wrongdoings not be wrongdoings? As for he whose facts are mere claims, how can his claims not be claims? O my God, Your unstoppable decree and Your surmounting volition have not left any word to be said by any orator and have not left any manner to be displayed.

میرے اللہ جب میری پستی مجھے گنگ کر دیتی ہے توتیرا کرم مجھے گویا کر دیتا ہے جب بھی میرے برے اوصاف مجھے مایوس کرتے ہیں تیرے احسان مجھے حوصلہ دیتے ہیں میرے اللہ جس شخص کی خوبیاں بھی برائیاں ہوں تو اس کی برائیاں کیوں نہ برائیاں شمار کی جائیں گی اور جس شخص کی حقیقت ہی محض کھوکھلی باتیں ہوں تو اس کی خالی صرف باتیں کیوں نہ محض باتیں تصور کی جائیں گی میرے اللہ تیرا حکم جاری ہے اور تیری مرضی قاہر و غالب ہے کہ ان کے مقابل بولنے والا بول نہیں سکتا اور نہ کوئی صاحبِ حال کچھ کرسکتا ہے۔

O my God, too many are the acts of obedience that I have prepared and the conducts that I have established, but Your justice has ruined my reliance on these, and, moreover, Your favoring has made me abandon them. O my God, You surely know that even though my obedience (to You) has not lasted in reality, it has lasted in love (for it) and determination (to do it)! O my God, how can I determine, while You are All-supreme? How can I quit determining, while it is Your command (to determine)?

میرے اللہ کتنی ہی بار میں نے اطاعت کرتے ہوئے عبادت کی شکل بنائی ہے مگر تیرے عدل کے خوف سے اس پر میرا بھروسہ نہ رہا بلکہ وہ تیرے فضل سے میری بخشش کا ذریعہ بنی میرے اللہ بے شک تو جانتا ہے اگرچہ میں عبادت میں مستقل طور پرمشغول نہیں ہوں تو بھی تجھ سے میری محبت ہمیشہ راسخ ہے میرے اللہ کس قدر بندگی کا ارادہ کروں جب کہ تو غالب ہے اور کیوں کر ارادہ نہ کروں جب کہ تو حکم دیتا ہے۔

O my God, my hesitation in (following) Your traces will result in unlikely visitation; so, (please) join me to You through a service that takes me to You. How can You be figured out through that whose existence relies on You? Can any thing other than You hold a (kind of) manifestation that You lack and thus it may act as an appearance for You? When have You ever been absent so that You may need something to point to You? When have You ever been far-off so that traces may lead to You? Blind be the eye that cannot see You watching it. Losing is a servant’s deal that does not dedicate a share to the love for You.

میرے اللہ تیری قدرت کے آثار میں غور کرنا تیرے دیدار سے دوری کا سبب ہے پس مجھے اپنے حضور حاضر رکھ تیری سرکار میں پہنچ پاؤں کیوں کر وہ چیز تیری طرف رہنمائی کر سکتی ہے جو اپنے وجود ہی میں تیری محتاج ہے آیا تیرے غیرکے لئے ایسا ظہور ہے جو تیرے لئے نہیں ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ تجھے ظاہر کرنے والا بن جائے تو کب غائب تھا کہ کسی ایسے نشان کی حاجت ہو جو تیری دلیل ٹھہرے اور تو کب دورتھا کہ آثار اور نشان تجھ تک پہنچانے کا ذریعہ و وسیلہ بنیں اندھی ہے وہ آنکھ جو تجھ کو اپنا نگہبان نہیں پاتی اس بندے کا سودا خسارے والا ہے جس کو تو نے اپنی محبت کا حصہ نہیں دیا۔

O my God, You have ordered us to refer to the traces; therefore, (please do) make me refer to You with the garb of lights and the guidance of insight so that I will return to You in the same way as I have entered to You from them as being too protected to look at them and too determining to depend upon them, for You have power over all things.

میرے اللہ تو نے اپنی قدرت کے آثار پر توجہ کا حکم کیا پس مجھ کو انوار کے لباس اور بصیرت کی ہدایت کے ساتھ اپنی طرف لوٹا تاکہ تیری درگاہ میں آؤں جس طرح انہی کے ذریعے تیری طرف راہ پائی اس حال میں کہ میرا باطن ان کی طرف دیکھنے سے محفوظ ہو اور میری ہمت ان پر بھروسہ کرنے سے بلند ہو بے شک تو ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

O my God, this is my humiliation; it manifests itself before You. This is my manner; it cannot be concealed against You. From You do I beseech soaring to You and through You do I take the way to You. So, (please do) guide me to You through Your Light and make me stand up before Your Hands with the true servitude to You. O my God, (please do) teach me from Your veiled knowledge and protect me with Your shielding shelter.

میرے اللہ یہ ہے میری پستی جو تیرے آگے ظاہر ہے اور یہ ہے میری بری حالت جو تجھ سے پوشیدہ نہیں میں تیری بارگاہ میں پہنچنا چاہتا ہوں اور تجھ پر تجھی کو دلیل ٹھہراتا ہوں پس اپنے نور سے میری اپنی طرف سے رہنمائی کر اور اپنے حضور مجھے سچی بندگی پر قائم رکھ میرے اللہ مجھے اپنے پوشیدہ علوم میں سے تعلیم دےاور اپنے محکم پردے کے ساتھ میری حفاظت کر۔

O my God, (please do) grant me the realities that are enjoyed by the people who are near to You and make me follow the course of the people who are attracted to You. O my God, make Your management of my affairs replace my management of my affairs, make Your choice for me replace my choice for myself, and make me stop at the points of emergency.

میرے اللہ مجھے اپنے اہلِ تقرب کے حقائق سے بہرہ مند فرما اور ان کی راہ پر ڈال جو تیری طرف کھنچتے چلے جاتے ہیں میرے اللہ اپنے تدبراور پسند کے ذریعے مجھے میرے تدبر اور پسند سے بے نیاز کردے اور پریشانی کے عالم میں مجھے ثابت قدم رکھ۔

O my God, (please do) take me out of the humiliation of myself and purify me from my suspicion and polytheism before I enter my grave. Only through You do I achieve victory; so, (please do) give me victory. Only upon You do I rely; so, do not refer me to anyone else. Only You do I beseech; so, do not disappoint me. Only for Your favors do I desire; so, do not deprive me (of Your favors). Only to Your side do I resort; so, do not set me aside. At Your door only do I stand; so, do not drive me away. O my God, Your pleasure is too sanctified to receive a defect from You; hence, how can it receive a defect from me?

میرے معبود مجھے میرے نفس کی پستی سے نکال لے مجھے شک اور شرک سے پاک کردے قبل اس کے کہ میں قبر میں جاؤں، تجھ سے مدد چاہتا ہوں میری مدد فرما تجھ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں پس مجھے چھوڑ نہ دے تجھ سے مانگتا ہوں پس ناامید نہ کر تیرے فضل کی آس لگائی ہے پس مجھے محروم نہ کر تیری بارگاہ سے تعلق جوڑا ہے پس مجھے دور نہ فرما تیرا دروازہ کھٹکھٹاتا ہوں پس مجھے بھگا نہ دے میرے اللہ تیری رضا پاک ہے ممکن نہیں اس میں تیری طرف سے نقص آئے پھر کیسے ممکن ہے کہ میں اسے نقص دار کہوں۔

O my God, You are too self-sufficient by Yourself to be benefited by Yourself; hence, how can You not be self-sufficient from me? O my God, fate awakens my hope and whim has enchained me with the firm chains of lust; so, (please do) be my Supporter so that You shall back me and show me the right path. And (please do) help me (to dispense with anyone else) through Your favors so that I shall depend upon You exclusively in my requests. It is You Who have lit the illuminations in the hearts of Your intimate servants so that they have recognized and testified Your Oneness.

میرے اللہ تو اپنی ذات میں بے نیاز ہے اس سے کہ تجھے اپنی ذات سے نفع پہنچے کیوں کر تو مجھ سے بے نیاز نہ ہوگا میرے اللہ قضا وقدر مجھ کو آرزومند بناتی ہے اور خواہش نفس مجھے آرزوؤں کا قیدی بنا لیتی ہے پس تو میرا مددگار بن جا تاکہ کامیاب ہو جاؤں بینا ہو جاؤں اور اپنے فضل سے مجھ کو بے نیاز کردے تاکہ تیرے ذریعے حاجت سے بے نیاز ہو جاؤں۔ تو وہ ہے جس نے اپنے دوستوں کے دلوں کو نور کی شعاعوں سے روشن کردیا تو انہوں نے تجھے پہچانا اور تجھے ایک مانا

It is You Who have removed love for others from the hearts of Your lovers so that they have loved none save You and they have resorted to none save You. You alone are entertaining them when they have felt lonely because of the other worlds. You alone have guided them so that all other worlds manifested themselves before them.

اور تو وہ ہے جس نے اپنے دوستوں کے دلوں سے غیروں کو دور کردیا تو وہ سوائے تیرے کسی سے محبت نہیں رکھتے اور تیرے غیر کی پناہ نہیں لیتے جب زمانہ ان کو خوف زدہ کرے اس وقت تو ہی ان کا ہم دم ہے اور تو وہ ہے جس نے ان کی رہنمائی کی جب ان پر نشان و برھان روشن ہو گئے۔

What can one who misses You find any substitute? What can one who finds You miss anything else? Definitely, failing is he who has accepted anyone other than You as substitute. Definitely, loser is he who has desired for anyone other than You. How can anyone other than You be hoped whilst You have never stopped Your bounties? How can anyone other than You be besought whilst You have never changed Your habit of ceaseless bestowal?

اس نے کیا پایاجس نے تجھے کھویا اور اس نے کچھ نہ کھویا جس نے تجھ کو پایا اور یقینًا ناکام ہوا جو تیرے بجائے کسی اور کو پسند کرنے لگا اور وہ گھاٹے میں پڑا جو سرکشی کے ساتھ تجھ سے پھر گیا کس طرح تیرے غیر سے امید رکھی جا سکتی ہے جب کہ تیرا احسان و کرم رکتا ہی نہیں اور کیوں کر تیرے غیر سے سوال کیا جاسکتا ہے جب کہ تیرے فضل و احسان کرنے کی عادت میں تبدیلی نہیں آتی۔

O He Who has made His lovers taste the sweet taste of entertainment; therefore, they have stood up before Him flattering Him! O He Who has dressed His intimate servants the garments of fearing Him; therefore, they have stood before Him seeking His forgiveness! You do mention the others (with bounties) before they mention You. You do spread Your compassion before the worshippers direct towards You. You do give generously before You are asked. You do bestow upon us and then borrow from us that which You have bestowed upon us.

اے وہ جو اپنے دوستوں کو الفت کی مٹھاس چکھاتا ہے پس وہ اس کے حضور تعریفیں کرتے کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں اے وہ جو اپنے دوستوں کو اپنی ہیبت کا لباس پہناتا ہے تو وہ اس کے سامنے کھڑے ہوتے ہیں بخشش مانگتے ہوئے، تو یاد کرنے والوں سے پہلے ان کو یاد رکھنے والا ہے تو احسان میں ابتدا کرنے والا ہے عبادت گزاروں کے توجہ کرنے سے پہلے تو عطا میں اضافہ کرنے والا ہے مانگنے والوں کے مانگنے سے پہلے تو بہت دینے والا ہے پھر اس میں سے بطور قرض مانگتاہے جو کچھ تو نے ہمیں دیا ہے۔

O my God, (please do) refer to me with Your mercy so that I will appear before You. (Please do) draw me towards You through Your endless favoring so that I will advance to You. O my God, verily, my hope for You does not cease despite that I may disobey You. Similarly, my fear from You does not leave me even if I obey You. The Worlds have pushed me towards You and my acquaintance with Your magnanimity has led me to You. O my God, how can I fail whilst You are my hope? How can I be humiliated whilst I depend upon You? How can I see dignity if You fix me in humiliation? How can I not see dignity whilst You have referred me to You?

میرے اللہ اپنی رحمت سے مجھ کو بلا لے تاکہ میں تیرے حضور پہنچ سکوں مجھے اپنی طرف کھینچ لے تاکہ تیری بارگاہ میں آسکوں میرے اللہ بے شک میری آس تجھ سے نہیں ٹوٹے گی اگرچہ میں تیری نافرمانی کروں جیسا کہ میرا خوف دور نہ ہوگا اگرچہ میں تیری اطاعت بھی کروں پس زمانے کی سختیوں نے مجھ کو تیری طرف ڈھکیل دیا اور تیری نوازش کے علم نے تیری بارگاہ میں پہنچا دیا میرے اللہ کیوں کر ناامید ہو جاؤں جب کہ تو میری آرزو ہے یا کیسے پست ہوں گا جب کہ میرا بھروسہ تجھ پر ہے میرے اللہ کیسے عزّت کا دعویٰ کروں جب کہ اس ذلت و خواری میں تو نے مجھے رکھا یا کیسے عزّت کا دعوا کروںمیری نسبت تیری طرف ہے۔

O my God, how can I not be needy whilst it is You Who have lodged me among the needy? How can I be needy whilst You have made me rich out of Your magnanimity? It is You, there is no god save You, Who have introduced Yourself to all things; therefore, nothing has ever ignored You. It is You Who have introduced Yourself to me in all things; therefore, I have seen You Manifest in all things. It is You Who give manifestation to all things.

میرے اللہ کیوں کر فقیر نہ بنوں جب کہ تو نے مجھے فقیروں کی صف میں رکھا ہے یا کیسے میں فقیر بنوں جب کہ تو نے مجھ کو اپنی عطا سے غنی کیا ہوا ہے اور تو وہ ہے کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو نے ہر چیز کو اپنی پہچان کرائی پس کوئی چیز نہیں جو تجھے پہچانتی نہ ہو اور تو وہ ہے جس نے ہر چیز کے ذریعے مجھے اپنی معرفت کرائی پس میں نے تجھے ہر چیز میں ظاہر و نمایاں دیکھا اور تو ہر چیز پر ظاہر و آشکار ہے۔

O He Who is firm in power through His All-beneficence; therefore, the Throne has become unseen in His Essence. You have erased the traces by the traces; and You have erased the changeable by the surroundings of the orbits of lights. O He Who has screened Himself in the curtains of His Throne; hence, He cannot be comprehended by visions!

اے وہ جو اپنی رحمتِ عامہ کے ساتھ قائم ہے کہ عرش اس کی ذات میں پوشیدہ ہو گیا ہے تو نے اپنی نشانیوں سے دیگر نشانیوں کو مٹا دیا تو نے اپنے غیروں کو نورانی آسمانوں کے حلقوں میں نابود کردیا اے وہ جو اپنے عرش کے پردوں میں پوشیدہ ہوگیا دیکھتی آنکھیں اسے دیکھ نہیں پاتیں۔

O He Who has manifested Himself with His perfect Magnificence; therefore, His Grandeur has become firmly established in power. How can You be hidden whilst You are the Manifester (of all things)? Or how can You be absent whilst You are the Watcher (over all things) and the Present (at all times). Verily, You have power over all things. All praise be to Allah alone.

اے وہ جس نے اپنے نورِکامل کا جلوہ دکھایا تو اس کی عظمت قائم و برقرارہو گئی کیوں کر پوشیدہ ہے تو جب کہ آشکار ہے یا کیسے تو پوشیدہ ہے جب کہ تو نگہبان اور حاضر ہے بے شک تو ہر چیز پرقدرت رکھتا ہے اور اللہ کے لئے حمد ہے جو یکتا ہے۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
