کتاب عدۃ الداعی میں ہے کہ امیر المؤمنینؑ سے روایت ہے : جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص سونے کا ارادہ کرے تو اپنادایاں ہاتھ دائیں رخسار کے نیچے رکھ کر یہ کہے۔ لہٰذا جو شخص سوتے وقت اس دعا کو پڑھے اﷲتعالیٰ اسے چور ڈاکو اور چھت تلے دبنے سے محفوظ رکھے گااور فرشتے اس کے لئے مغفرت طلب کریں گے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِى للهِ، عَلٰى مِلَّةِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَدِيْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ وَ وَلَايَةِ مَنْ افْتَرَضَ اللهُ اِطَاعَتَهٗ، مَاشَآء اللهُ كَانَ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَا لَمْ يَكُنْ۔
Bismi allaahi, wada'tu janbee lllaahi, 'alaa millati ibraaheema wadeeni muhammadin sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee wa walaayati man iftarada allaahu itaa'atahoo, maashaa' allaahu kaana, wamaa lam yashaa lam yakun.
In the Name of Allah. I put my side for Allah, following the faith of Ibrahim, the religion of Muhammad, blessings of Allah be upon him and his Household, and showing loyalty to those the obedience to whom has been made incumbent upon us by Allah. Only what Allah wills shall come to pass, but what Allah does not will shall never come to pass.
اﷲکے نام سے میں نے اپنا پہلو اﷲکے لئے رکھ دیا ہے ملتِ ابراہیم اور حضرت محمدؐکے دین پراور ان کی ولایت پرجن کی اطاعت اﷲنے واجب ٹھہرائی ہے جو اﷲچاہے ہو جاتا ہے اور جو وہ نہ چاہے نہیں ہوتا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
