Hastening of her death
انتظارِ موت
Two lines attributed to Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (s), asking Allah to hasten her death — kept among the duas for before death.
It is one of the shortest supplications in the whole library, and the tradition places it after the passing of the Holy Prophet (s), in the period the Shia tradition remembers as the days of her grief.
There is no request in it beyond the one: hasten my death, life has become unbearable, my master. The Centre records it as the tradition transmits it, without adding to it.
Dua Syeda Fatima's Dua for the hastening of her death.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
یَا اِلٰهِیْ عَجِّلْ وَفَاتِیْ سَرِیْعًا، فَلَقَدْ تَنَغَّصَتِ الْحَیَاۃُ یَا مَوْلَائِیْ۔
Yaa elaahee a’jjil waffaatee saree-a’n, falaqad tanagh-ghasatil hayaato yaa mawlaa-ee.
O my God, hasten my death; Life has become unbearable, my master.
پروردگار! میری وفات میں جلدی فرما، کیونکہ زندگی میرے لئے تنگ اور مشکل ہو گئی ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
