Requesting for death

The page’s own heading names it: the dua of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (s) asking for death, after the injustice that fell upon her. Its words are very few — “My Lord, I am tired of life and I am weary of the people of the world, so join me with my father” — and they belong to the months between the passing of the Holy Prophet (s) and her own.
The Centre keeps it among the texts gathered under the approach of death, where it is read as the record of her grief. It closes, as her duas do, with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
یَا رَبِّ اِنِّیْ قَدْ سَئِمْتُ الْحَیَاۃَ، وَ تَبَرَّمْتُ بِاَهْلِ الدُّنْیَا، فَاَلْحِقْنِیْ بِاَبِیْ۔
Yaa rabbe innee qad sa-imtul hayaata, wa tabarramto be-ahlid dunyaa fa-alhiqnee be-abee.
My Lord, I am tired of life and I am weary of the people of the world so join me with my father.
پروردگار! زندگی سے تنگ آچکی ہوں، اور میں دنیا والوں سے بیزار ہوچکی ہوں، پس مجھے اپنے والد گرامی سے ملحق فرما۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
