In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Praise be to the one, Whose praise cannot be encompassed together even by all the speakers. All praise is for God, whose bounties cannot be counted by even all those, who count. All praise is for God, whose right cannot be restored even by those, who try to restore it. And there is no god, except Allah, the first and the last. And there is no god, except Allah, the apparent and the hidden. And there is no god, except Allah, the giver of life and death. And Allah is the greatest and owner of rewards and Allah is the greatest and He is eternally present.

تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لئے ہیں جس کی حمد و ستائش کو شمار کرنے والے شمار نہیں کرسکتے اور اس کی نعمتوں کا گننے والے احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے، اور کوشش کرنے والے اس کا حق ادا نہیں کر سکتے، اس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں وہ اول و آخر ہے، اس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں وہ ظاہر و باطن ہے، اس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں۔ زندگی اور موت دینے والا، اللہ سب سے بڑا اور صاحب فضل ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا اور ہمیشہ رہنے والا ہے۔

All praise is for Allah, whose knowledge cannot be perceived even by the learned; and whose forbearance cannot be belittled even by the ignorant; and the praisers cannot reach upto the end of His extolling and the describers cannot describe Him. And even all creatures together cannot describe Him fully.

اور تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لئے ہیں جس کے علم کا ادراک عالم نہیں کر سکتے۔ اس کے حلم کو جاہل خفیف نہیں کرسکتے اور ثنا خواں کماحقہ ستائش نہیں کر سکتے۔ صفت بیان کرنے والے اس کی صفات بیان کرنے سے عاجز ہیں۔ مخلوقات اس کی توصیف کماحقہ کرنے سے قاصر ہیں۔

All praise be for Allah, Who is the owner of kingdom and dominion; owner of the great and tremendous force; owner of honor and greatness; owner of elegance of majesty and awe and beauty and power and strength and force and might and favor and clout and goodwill and nobility and justice and truth; and good manners and greatness, exaltation and enormity, and excellence and wisdom; and self-sufficiency and wideness; and tying up and opening; and forbearance and knowledge; and conclusive argument and ample bounty; and good and beautiful praise; and the noble bounties; the King of the world and the hereafter, and Paradise and Hell, and what is in them. Blessed is Allah, the Most High.

تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لئے ہیں جو صاحب ملک و ملکوت، عظمت، قدرت، عزّت و کبریائی کمال و جلال، بزرگی و جمال، عزّت و قدرت، قوت و طاقت، احسان و غلبہ، فضل و وسعت، عدل و حق، خلق و بلندی، رفعت و مجد، فضیلت و حکمت، غنا و وسعت، بسط و قبض، حلم و علم، روشن دلیل والا، وسیع نعمتوں والا، بہترین ثنا والا، گرامی قدر نعمتوں والا، دنیا و آخرت اور جنت و جہنم اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے سب کا مالک ہے، بابرکت و برتر ہے۔

All praise be for Allah, Who is the knower of secrets of the unseen and is aware of the concealed secrets of the hearts; there is no scope to flee and run away from Him. All praise be for Allah, who is the owner of pride in His kingdom; who is honorable in his stage; and the owner of domination in His kingdom, who is powerful in His attacks; who is the owner of the loftinesses of His Throne; who is aware of the circumstances of His creatures; and has the capacity to reach upto what He has intended through His knowledge.

تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لئے ہیں جو رازوں کو جاننے والا، اور دلوں کے بھیدوں سے آگاہ ہے، پس اس سے راہ فرار ممکن نہیں، تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لئے ہیں جسے اپنی بادشاہی میں تکبر سزاوار ہے۔ جو اپنی جگہ میں محکم، اپنی بادشاہت میں مختار کل ہے، سزا وجزا کرنے میں قوی، جو عرش سے بھی بلند تر ہے، اور لوگوں کے اعمال سے آگاہ ہے، اور جو چاہے اس کے کرنے پر قادر ہے۔

All praise is for the one, through the support of whose words all seven hardest heavens and the softest earths are established. Through Him are fixed in the earth the tent pegs of mountains; and through His favors blow the winds that bloom the blossoms and in the atmosphere of the sky is established the excursion of the clouds; and the seas are stopped at their boundaries; and the hearts are trembling due to His fear. And the lords of the world are destroyed through His Lordship. Blessed are You, O counter of the drops of rain and the leaves and the enlivener of the dead bodies on Judgment Day.

تمام تعریفیں اس ذات کے لئے ہیں جس کی قدرت سے آسمان محکم انداز میں کھڑے ہیں اور زمین گہوارہ کی طرح اپنی جگہ پر ثابت ہے، اور پہاڑ جو زمین کے ثبات کا باعث ہیں محکم کھڑے ہیں اور وہ جس نے بارش برسانے والی ہواؤں کو جاری کیا اور بادلوں کو آسمانوں میں متحرک رکھا، اور دریاؤں کو اپنی حدود میں رکھا، اور وہ ذات کہ دل اس کے خوف سے لرز جاتے ہیں، اور جس کی ربوبیت کے سامنے خیالی خداؤں کی بنیادیں منہدم ہوجاتی ہیں، پاک ہے وہ ذات جو بارش کے قطروں اور درختوں کے پتوں کو بھی شمار میں رکھتا ہے اور حشر کیلئے مردوں کو زندہ کرنے والا ہے۔ پاک ہے وہ ذات جو صاحب جلال و کرم ہے۔

Praise be to You, O owner of majesty and nobility! What will You do with this poor stranger, who has come to take refuge in your court. And with the destitute, who has unloaded the baggage in your presence and is the seeker of your pleasure and has presented himself before You and has kneeled down before You and is seeking from You those things, which are not concealed upon You. So, now my share must not be deprivation and my fortune as compared to my hopes, should not be fixed as helplessness.

بارالھا! جب غریب اور فقیر تجھ سے پناہ مانگتا ہے اور مدد کا طلبگار ہوتا ہے اس کے ساتھ کیا کرے گا؟ اور جو تری چوکھٹ پر آئے اور تیری خوشنودی کا طلبگار ہو اس کے ساتھ کیا کرے گا؟ اور اگر کوئی تیرے حضور میں اپنی پیشانی زمین پر رکھ کر تجھ سے کسی چیز کے متعلق شکایت کرے تو اس کو کیا جواب دے گا؟ پروردگارا: دعاؤں سے میرا حصہ محرومی و ناامیدی کی صورت میں نہ دے، اور اپنی بارگاہ سے لگی امیدوں میں سے میرا حصہ نا امیدی کی صورت میں نہ دے۔

O that God, who is present since eternity, and will endure like this forever and who is continuously guarding the deeds of the servants. O one, who has made the days of the world, declining, its months on the stage of change and its years, center of rotation. You alone are that owner of permanence, whom the times cannot age and the passing times cannot create change in it.

اے وہ ذات جو ہمیشہ تھی اور رہے گی، اور جوبندوں کے اعمال سے باخبر ہے، اے وہ ذات جو دنیا کے ایام کوگذارنے والا، اور مہینوں کو تبدیل کرنے والا، اور سالوں کو گردش میں رکھنے والا ہے، تو ہمیشہ ہے اور گردش ایام تجھ میں کوئی تبدیلی نہیں لا سکتے۔

O that being, for whom everyday is new and whose sustenance is ready for every weak, strong and severe; only You have distributed sustenance among all the creatures and have maintained equality between the ant and the bird. O God, when the earth straitens for people, we seek refuge in You from that straitness. O God, when Judgment Day prolongs for the sinners, make that day so short for me, like the gap between two prayers.

اے وہ ذات جس کے لئے ہر دن نیا ہے اور ہر ضعیف، قوی اور مضبوط شخص کے لئے آپ کی بارگاہ سے روزی میسر ہے جو اپنی مخلوقات کے درمیان رزق تقسیم کرتا ہے اور ذرے اور چڑیا کے درمیان برابری (مساوات) قائم کرتا ہے۔ پروردگارا: جب لوگوں کے درمیان رہنا مشکل ہوجائے تو اس مشکل گھڑی میں تمہاری بارگاہ میں پناہ لیتی ہوں۔ پروردگارا: جب گناہگاروں کے لئے قیامت کا دن طولانی ہوگا تو اس دن کوہمارے لئے مختصر کرکے دو نمازوں کے درمیان فاصلے کے برابر قرار دینا۔

O God, when You bring the sun near to the skulls and between the two there remains only distance of one mile, and in its heat there is increase of ten years, then we beseech You to bestow us the shade of the cloud of mercy and arrange the pulpit and chair for us upon which we may sit when people head to the stage of accounting. Amen, O Lord of the worlds.

بارالھا! جب قیامت کے دن سورج اپنی پوری آب و تاب سے چمکے گا اور لوگوں کے قریب تر ہوتا چلا جائے گا یہاں تک کہ اس کے اور لوگوں کے درمیان فاصلہ ایک میل کے برابر رہ جائے، اور اس دن دس سال کی گرمی کے برابر اس کی گرمی میں اضافہ ہوجائے گا تو اس وقت اپنی رحمت کے بادل میں جگہ عطا فرمانا اور جب لوگ حساب و کتاب کے لئے بلائے جائیں تو ہمارے لئے منبر اور کرسی بیٹھنے کیلئے مقرر فرما، اے عالمین کے پروردگار ہماری دعا قبول فرما۔

I ask You, O God, by the right of these praises that You forgive all my sins and overlook them. Give me the garment of health and security in religion.

اے میرے رب: اس حمد وثنا کے طفیل ہم سے درگذر فرما، اور اپنی مغفرت کو میرے شامل حال فرما، اور میرے دین میں سلامتی بدن میں عافیت عطا فرما۔

As I am asking You in the condition that I am confident of the fulfillment of my request and I supplicate with such reliance that You are listening to my voice; so now listen to my call and don’t cut off my hope. Do not overturn my praise and glorification and do not make my entreaty hopeless. I am needful of your pleasure and beggar for your forgiveness. I ask You while I have not despaired of your mercy and I am supplicating in such fashion that I am not unveiled from your displeasure.

پروردگارا! میں تیری بارگاہ میں امید واثق رکھتی ہوں کہ میری حاجتوں کو ضرور پورا کرتا ہے اور کرے گا اور میں تمہیں پکارتی ہوں اور جبکہ جانتی ہوں کہ تو میری پکار سنتا ہے، پس میری دعاؤں کو سننے کے بعد میری امیدوں کو ختم نہ کرنا اور میری کی ہوئی حمد و ثناء کو رد نہ کرنا، اور مجھے نا امید نہ لوٹانا میں تیری رضا و خوشنودی اور بخشش کی محتاج ہوں، اور میں تم سے سوال کرتی ہوں جبکہ تمہاری رحمت سے مایوس نہیں ہوں، اور تم ہی کو پکارتی ہوں جبکہ تیرے غضب سے خائف ہوں۔

Lord, accept my plea and send down your forgiveness for me; make me die a Muslim and join me with your righteous servants. O God, do not deprive me of your grace and nobility, O doer of good, and do not leave me to myself, forsaken, O doer of favor.

بارالھا! میری دعاؤں کو قبول فرما اور اپنی مغفرت سے مجھ پر احسان فرما، اور مجھے حالت ایمان میں موت دے اور مجھے صالحین سے ملحق فرما، اے میرے رب اپنے فضل و کرم سے مجھے محروم نہ فرمانا اور مجھے اپنی حالت زار پر نہ چھوڑنا اے مہربان۔

Lord, when the friends separate from us at the time of death, have mercy on my destruction and when I am interred in the grave, have mercy on my loneliness and when I appear in the stage of Judgment Day, have mercy on my alienity and when I stand before You in the stage of accounting, have mercy on my needfulness.

بارالھا! فشار قبر اور دوستوں سے جدائی کے وقت اور اس تنہائی میں جب مجھے قبر میں اتاریں اور قیامت میں میری غربت پر اور میری نیاز مندی میں جب تمہاری بارگاہ میں حساب و کتاب کے لئے کھڑی ہوں تو رحم فرمانا۔

Lord, I seek refuge from Hell through You, so accord refuge to me and I seek salvation from Hell fire through You, so give me salvation. I am terrified of Hell, so keep me away from it; and I want your mercy in distress and sorrow, so have mercy on me.

اے میرے مالک: آگ سے تیری پناہ کی طلب گار ہوں مجھے پناہ دے۔ پروردگارا! آگ سے نجات کی طلب گار ہوں مجھے نجات دے۔ اے پروردگارا! آگ کے ڈر سے تیری طرف آئی ہوں مجھے جہنم کی آگ سے دور رکھ۔ بارالھا! انتہائی محرومی کی حالت میں تیری رحمت کی طلب گار ہوں مجھے اپنی رحمت سے محروم نہ کرنا۔

Lord, I seek forgiveness for my ignorance, so please forgive me. (Lord) my needs have taken me out and made me stand in the stage of supplication, so now don’t disappoint me, O owner of nobility, favor, bounty and forgiveness.

اے پروردگار! اے درگزر کرنے والے، اے عزّت والے اور نعمتوں والے اور احسان کرنے والے۔ پروردگار! میں نے اپنی دعاؤں کو طلب حاجات کے لئے ظاہر کردیا ہے پس مجھے مایوس نہ فرمانا۔

My chief, O doer of good, O merciful, accept my supplication between all entreaties and among all complainants, have mercy on my tears. On the day I leave the world, deem my relief to be in your meeting and among all the dead, veil my defects, O my great center of hopes, when I am going to the grave alone, have mercy on me, O my support and the focus of my needs, and knower of the direction of my pleas.

اے میرے مولا: اے نیکی کرنے والے، اور رحم کرنے والے آہ و زاری کرنے والوں میں سے میری دعاؤں کو قبول فرما اور بلک بلک کر رونے والوں کے درمیان میرے آنسوؤں پر رحم فرما، اور جب اس دنیا سے جاؤں تو اپنی ملاقات اور دیدار کو میرے لئے آسان فرما، اور اے امیدوں کی آخری پناہ گاہ مردوں کے بیچ میرے عیبوں کو چھپانا اور جب قبر میں تنہا ہوں تو مجھے اپنے لطف و مہربانی سے نوازنا، یقینًا تو میری امید ہے، اور میری حاجات کے ظاہر کرنے کی جگہ ہے، اور تو میری حاجات سے آگاہ ہے۔

O fulfiller of needs, fulfill my needs, my entreaty is towards You and only You are my helper and center of hope. I flee the sins and run towards You; from your justice I am coming into the refuge of your forgiveness, so come to my help. I seek the refuge of your forgiveness from chastisement, so protect me from it. And as opposed to your chastisement, I am seeker of your mercy, so save me from hell.

اے حاجتوں کو پورا کرنے والے میری حاجات کوپورا فرما، پس تمہاری طرف شکایت لے کر آئی ہوں کیونکہ تو مددگار اور امیدوں کا مرکز ہے، اور گناہوں سے فرار کرکے تیری پناہ گاہ میں آئی ہوں پس مجھے قبول فرما اورتیری عدالت کے ڈر سے اپنے گناہوں کی بخشش کی التجا کرتی ہوں میری مدد فرما، اور تیرے غضب سے ڈر کر تیری مغفرت کی جستجو میں ہوں مجھے پناہ دے اور تیرے عذاب کے ڈر سے تیری رحمتوں کی طلبگار ہوں مجھے نجات دے۔

I seek proximity to You through Islam, so make me your proximate one and secure me from the terror of Judgment Day and accommodate me in the shade of your throne and bestow upon me both parts of your mercy and give me relief from the world with security and take me out from the darknesses convey me to the stage of effulgence.

اور اسلام کے ذریعے سے تمہاری قربت کی طلبگار ہوں مجھے اپنے قریب فرما، اور قیامت کے دن کے خوف سے مجھے محفوظ فرما، اور اپنے عرش کے سائے میں مجھے جگہ عنایت فرما، اور مجھے اپنی رحمت سے شامل حال فرما، اور سلامتی کے ساتھ دنیا سے نجات دے، اور اندھیروں سے روشنی کی طرف نکلنے کی توفیق عطا فرما۔

Illuminate my face on Judgment Day and ease my accounting and do not expose me on the basis of my secrets. Bestow patience to me upon your trials and like You turned away evil and wantonness from Yusuf, turn it away from me as well. And don’t impose the load of what I am not capable of.

قیامت کے دن میرے چہرے کو روشنی عطا فرمانا اور آسان طریقہ سے میرا محاسبہ فرمانا اور مجھے اپنے عیبوں کے مقابلے میں شرمندہ نہ فرمانا، اور مصیبتوں کے مقابلے میں صبر کی دولت سے نوازنا، اور جس طرح حضرت یوسف سے بدی اور پستیوں کو دور کیا تھا مجھ سے بھی دور فرما، اور جس چیز کی طاقت نہیں رکھتی مجھ پر مسلط نہ فرمانا۔

Guide me to the abode of peace and make the Quran beneficial for me and make me steadfast on the constant statement; make me secure from the accursed satan. And protect me through your power and strength and force. Save me from Hell through your forbearance, knowledge and the vastness of your mercy. Settle me in the Firdos Paradise and make me see your blessed countenance and join me to your prophet, Muhammad and secure me from the satans and their friends and all mischief makers.

مجھے جنت کی طرف ہدایت فرما، اور معارف قرآن سے مجھے مستفید فرما، اور صحیح بات کے ساتھ مجھے ثابت قدم رکھ، اور شیطان مردود سے محفوظ فرما، پس مجھے اپنی قوت، قدرت اور جبروت سے جہنم سے محفوظ رکھ اور اپنے حلم اور علم اور رحمت واسع کے ذریعے سے جہنم سے نجات دے اور اپنی جنت الفردوس میں جگہ عطا فرما، اور مجھے اپنے دیدار کی زیارت نصیب فرما اور اپنے نبی حضرت محمد سے ملحق فرما، شیاطین اور ان کے دوست اور ہر شریر کے شر سے میری حفاظت فرما۔

O God, if my enemies and those, who deceive me, intend to cause distress, weaken the strength of their heart and disperse their gathering and blunt their weapons and make their mounts lifeless and send fast and furious storms on them, so much so that You send them to Hell. Take them out of their refuges and bestow their control to us, amen, O Lord of the worlds.

اے پروردگار! تمام وہ لوگ جو مجھ سے ہمیشہ کینہ رکھتے ہیں اور جو میرے کھلے دشمن ہیں تو ان کے دلیروں کو بزدل، ان کے لشکروں کو متفرق اور اسلحوں کو ناکارہ، اور ان کے حیوانوں کو کمزور اور ناتوان، اور انہیں سخت قسم کی ہواؤں اور طوفانوں سے دوچار فرما۔ یہاں تک کہ ان کو جہنم میں داخل کردے۔ ان کی پناہ گاہوں کو منہدم، اور ہمیں ان کے تباہ کرنے پر توفیق عطا فرما اے عالمین کا رب قبول فرما۔

O God, bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, with a blessing to which the first ones bear witness together with the righteous; (bless) the master of the messengers, seal of prophets, leader to good and key of mercy. O God, Lord of the sacred house and the sacred month; O Lord of al-Mash'ar al-Haram, Lord of the Corner and the Station (Rukn and Maqam), and Lord of the lawful and the sacred. Convey our salutations and respects to the soul of His Eminence, Muhammad.

اے خداوند متعال محمد و آل محمد پر ایسا درود بھیج، جس پر گذشتہ لوگ، صالحین کے ساتھ گواہ ہوں اور اسی طرح سید المرسلین، خاتم النبیین اور امام المتقین اور رحمت العالمین بھی گواہ ہوں۔ اے پروردگار! اے مقدس گھر خانہ کعبہ اور مقدس مہینے ذی الحجہ کے رب‘ مشعر الحرام کے رب، رکن و مقام کے رب، حل و حرم کے رب، پیغمبر اسلامؐ کی پاکیزہ روح پر ہماری جانب سے درود و سلام پہنچا۔

Peace be on you, O Messenger of Allah (s); Peace be on you, O trustee of Allah; Peace be on you, O Muhammad bin Abdullah; Peace be on you, and His mercy and blessings. As he is described by God to be merciful to the believers. O God, give him the best of what he has asked of You, the best of what You have been asked for him, and the best of what You will be asked for him until the Day of Judgment. Amen, O Lord of the worlds.

اے اللہ کے رسول آپ پر سلام، اے خدا کے امین آپ پر سلام، اے محمد بن عبداللہ آپ پر سلام، آپ پر سلام اور اللہ کی رحمتیں اور برکتیں ہوں جیسے ان کا تعارف کرایا گیا ہے وہ ایسے ہی مومنین کے لئے مہربان اورباعث رحمت ہیں۔ اے اللہ: پیغمبر اسلامؐ کے لئے جو کچھ طلب کیا ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے لئے مانگا گیا ہے اور جو کچھ قیامت تک ان کے لئے مانگا جائے گا، ان سے بہتر ان کو عطا فرما، اے عالمین کے پروردگار ہماری دعاؤں کو قبول فرما۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
