Kaf’ami has reported that a man complained to the Holy Prophet (s) about poverty, misery, and ailment. The Holy Prophet (s) thus instructed him to repeat this supplicatory utterance 10 times every morning and evening. As the man persevered in carrying out the Prophet’s instruction for 3 days, he was saved from poverty and ailment. Shaikh Tusi and others mentioned the same supplicatory utterance to be said after the Dawn Prayers…
عیاشی نے عبداللہ بن سنان سے روایت کی ہے کہ میں امام جعفر صادقؑ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو حضرت نے فرمایا :آیا میں ایسی دعا تعلیم کروں کہ جب تم اسے پڑھو تو اللہ تمہارے قرضے ادا کرے اور تمہارے حالات بہتر ہو جائیں؟ میں نے عرض کیا: مجھے تو اس دعا کی سخت ضرورت ہے، تب آپؑ نے فرمایا کہ نماز فجر کے بعد یہ پڑھا کرو۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللہِ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی الْحَیِّ الَّذِیْ لَا یَمُوْتُ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ لَمْ یَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَّلَمْ یَکُنْ لَّہٗ شَرِیْکٌ فِیْ الْمُلْکِ وَلَمْ یَکُنْ لَّہٗ وَلِیٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ وَکَبِّرْہُ تَکْبِیْرًا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُؤْسِ وَالْفَقْرِ وَمِنْ غَلَبَۃِ الدَّیْنِ وَالسُّقْمِ وَاَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُعِیْنَنِیْ عَلٰی اَدَآئِ حَقِّكَ اِلَیْكَ وَاِلَی النَّاسِ۔
Laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa billaahi tawakkaltu 'alaa al-hayyi allazee laa yamootu wal-hamdu lillaahi allazee lam yattakhiz waladan walam yakun lahoo shareekun fee al-mulki walam yakun lahoo waliyyun mina az-zulli wakabbirhu takbeeraa.
Allaahumma innee a'oozu bika mina al-bu'si wal-faqri wamin ghalabati ad-dayni was-suqmi wa-as'aluka an tu'eenanee 'alaa adaa'i haqqika ilayka wa-ilaa an-naas.
There is no power and no strength except by Allah. I rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die. And all praise is for Allah who has not taken a child; He has no partner in His dominion; and He has no protector out of weakness. So magnify Him with great magnificence. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from hardship and poverty, from being overwhelmed by debt and illness. And I ask You to help me to fulfill what is due of Your rights owed to You, and the rights owed to people.
اللہ کے سوا کوئی طاقت و قوت نہیں، میں اس زندہ و پائندہ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں جس کو موت نہیں، حمد اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے جس نے کسی کو بیٹا نہیں بنایا نہ حکومت میں کوئی اس کا شریک ہے اور نہ وہ کمزور ہے کہ کوئی اس کامددگار ہو اس کی بہت بڑی بڑائی کرو، اے معبود! میں تیری پناہ لیتا ہوں تنگدستی، بے مائیگی، قرض کی زیادتی اور مرض و بیماری سے اورسوال کرتا ہوں کہ تو اپنے حق کی ادائیگی میں میری مدد فرما جو تیرے اور لوگوں کے لئے ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
According to the narration of Shaikh Toosi (r) and other scholars the dua is in this way…
شیخ طوسیؒ اور دیگر علماء کی روایت کے مطابق دعایوں ہے۔۔۔
وَمِنْ غَلَبَۃِ الدَّیْنِ فَصَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ وَاَعِنِّیْ عَلٰی اَدَآئِ حَقِّكَ اِلَیْكَ وَاِلَی النَّاسِ۔
Wamin ghalabati ad-dayni fasalli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee wa-a'innee 'alaa adaa'i haqqika ilayka wa-ilaa an-naas.
And from being overcome by debt—so send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and help me to fulfill what is due of Your rights owed to You, and the rights owed to people.
اور قرض کی زیادتی سے پس رحمت فرما محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر اور اپنے حق کی ادائیگی میں میری مدد فرما جو تیرے اور لوگوں کے لیے ہے۔
