1st Eve of Shawwal۱؍شوال کی شب
A short turning of repentance and blessing. The reciter declares that they turn repentant unto Allah, calls on Him as the Lord of favouring, magnanimity and bounty and as the One who selected Muhammad, and asks that blessings be sent upon Muhammad and his Household.

It is reported that when Imam Ali (a) used to offer this namaz, he would say, “I swear by Him Who grasps my soul, Almighty Allah shall definitely respond to whoever offers this prayer and then prays Him for granting his needs, and Almighty Allah shall forgive him even if his sins would be as much as the pebbles in deserts.”
روایت ہے کہ امیر المؤمنینؑ یہ نماز اسی طریقے سے بجالاتے تھے اور جب سر سجدے سے اٹھاتے تو فرماتے: اس خدا کے حق کی قسم جس کے قبضۂ قدرت میں میری جان ہے! جو بھی شخص یہ نماز پڑھ کر خدا سے اپنی کوئی حاجت طلب کرے گا تو وہ یقیناً پوری ہوگی اور اس کے گناہ اگر ریت کے ذرّات کے برابر بھی ہوں تو معاف کر دیئے جائیں گے۔

یہ ۲ رکعت نماز ادا کرے جس کی پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد ۱۰۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے (ایک اور روایت میں اس نماز کی پہلی رکعت میں ۱۰۰۰ کے بجائے ۱۰۰ مرتبہ سورۂ توحید پڑھنے کا ذکر آیا ہے) اور دوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد ایک مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے نماز کا سلام پڑھنے کے بعد سر سجدے میں رکھ کر ۱۰۰ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
اَتُوْبُ اِلَی اللہِ۔
Atoobu ilaa allaah.

خدا کے حضور توبہ کرتا ہوں۔
Thereafter in sajdah recite this dua…
پھر سجدے میں یہ بھی کہے۔۔۔
یَاذَا الْمَنِّ وَالْجُوْدِ یَاذَا الْمَنِّ وَالطَّوْلِ یَامُصْطَفِیَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللهُ عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِہٖ وَافْعَلْ بِیْ کَذَا کَذَا۔
Yaa zaa al-manni wal-joodi yaa zaa al-manni wat-tawli yaa mustafiya muhammadin sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee waf'al bee kazaa kazaa.
O Lord of favoring and magnanimity! O Lord of favoring and bounty! O He Who has selected Muhammad, peace of Allah be upon him and his Household, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household, and do for me such and such.
اے احسان و عطا والے! اے احسان وبخشش والے اے حضرت محمدؐ کو منتخب وبرگزیدہ کرنے والے محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور میرے لئے یہ اور یہ کردے۔
Then one should seek his desire.
اس کے بعد اپنی حاجت طلب کرے۔
Now after namaz recite dua Ya Allahu Ya Allahu
نماز کے بعد دُعا یَااَللہُ یَااَللہُ پڑھے۔
