After entering the Mosque
مسجد میں تشریف لاتے تو نماز سے پہلے
A supplication said inside the mosque, before the prayer begins — kept with the other duas of mosque etiquette.
It asks blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad before anything else, and then makes its request through a series of things it names as sacred: Allah’s most special, the dignity of His exalted majesty, the greatness of His names, and the purity of His prophets.
It is the companion of the dua said at the threshold; this one belongs to the moment after the step is taken.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اِلٰهِیْ بِاَخَصِّ صِفَاتِكَ وَبِعَزِّ جَلَالِكَ وَاَعْظَمِ اَسْمَائِكَ وَبِعِصْمَۃِ اَنْۢبَیَائِكَ وَبِنُوْرِ اَوْلِیَائِكَ وَبِدَمِ شُهَدَائِكَ وَبِمِدَادِ عُلَمَائِكَ وَبِدُعَائِ صُلَحَائِكَ وَبِمُنَاجَاۃِ فُقَرَائِكَ نَسْاَلُكَ زِیَادَۃً فِی الْعِلْمِ وَصِحَۃً فِیْ الْجِسْمِ وَطُوْلًا فِی الْعُمْرِ فِیْ طَاعَتِكْ وَسِعَۃً فِیْ الرِّزْقِ وَتَوْبَۃً قَبْلَ الْمَوْتَ وَرَاحَۃً عِنْدَ الْمَوْتَ وَمَغْفِرَۃً بَعْدَ الْمَوْتَ وَنُوْرًا فِی الْقَبْرِ وَنَجَاۃٍ مِنَ النَّارِ وَدُخُوْلًا فِی الْجَنَّۃِ وَعَافِیَۃٍ مِّنْ كُلِّ بَلَائِ الدُّنْیَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَۃْ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَیْتِهِ الطَّیِّبِیْنَ الطَّاهِرِیْنَ الْمَعْصُوْمِیْنَ۔
Ilaa-hee be-akhas-se sefaate-ka wa be i’zze jalaale-ka wa a’zame asmaa-e-ka wa be-i’smate ambiyaa-e-ka wa be-noore awleyaa-e-ka wa be-dame shohadaa-e-ka wa be-medaade o’lamaa-e-ka wa be-doaa’-e solahaa-e-ka wa be-monaa-jaate foqraa-e-ka nas-aloka zeyaa-datan fil i’lme wa seha-tan fil jisme wa toolan fil u’mre fee taa-a’tek wa se-a’tan fir rizqe wa taw-batan qablal mawta wa raa-hatan i’ndal mawta wa magh-fera-tan ba’dal mawta wa nooran fil qabre wa najaa-tan menan naare wa dokhoo-lan fil jannate wa aa’fe-yatim min kulle balaa-id dunyaa wa a’zaa-bil aa-khe-rat be-haqqe mohammadin wa ahle baiyte-hit tayye-bee-nat taahe-ree-nal ma’soo-meena.
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, Allah, in the name of your most special, in the name of the dignity of your exalted majesty, in the name of the greatness of your names, in the name of the purity of your prophets, in the name of the light of your chosen representatives, in the name of the blood shed by the martyrs in your cause, in the name of the ink used by the scholars of your purpose and plan, in the name of the prayers of the righteous and in the name of the invocations made by your servants leaving in resignation and asceticism,We beseech you for continuous addition in knowledge, freedom from sickness in the body, long duration of life spent in your obedience abundance in the means of livelihood, divine guidance to turn repentant unto you, before death, freedom from pain at the time of death, protection after death, light in the grave, escape from the hell, entry into the paradise and safety from all the evils of the world and from the chastisement in the hereafter, in the name and for the sake of Muhammad and his pure, purified and infallible progeny.
اے میرے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیری سب سے خاص صفات کے وسیلے سے، تیری عزت و جلال کے واسطے، تیرے سب سے عظیم ناموں کے واسطے، تیرے نبیوں کی حفاظت (عصمت) کے واسطے، تیرے اولیاء کے نور کے واسطے، تیرے شہیدوں کے خون کے واسطے، تیرے علماء کی سیاہی (قلم کی روشنائی) کے واسطے، تیرے نیک بندوں کی دعاؤں کے واسطے، اور تیرے محتاج بندوں کی مناجات کے واسطے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ: ہمارے علم میں اضافہ فرما، ہمارے جسم کو صحت عطا فرما، ہمیں عمر کی درازی عطا فرما مگر تیری اطاعت میں، ہمارے رزق میں کشادگی عطا فرما، موت سے پہلے سچی توبہ نصیب فرما، موت کے وقت راحت عطا فرما، موت کے بعد مغفرت فرما، قبر میں نور عطا فرما، ہمیں جہنم سے نجات عطا فرما، ہمیں جنت میں داخل فرما، دنیا کی ہر مصیبت اور آخرت کے عذاب سے عافیت عطا فرما، یہ سب میں محمدؐ اور اُن کے پاک، طاہر، معصوم اہلِ بیتؑ کے حق کے وسیلے سے مانگتا ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
