A short set of recitations for the time before burial, kept among the a'maal for a departed soul.
It is built from the plainest formulae the tradition has: the tasbihat — glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god save Allah, Allah is the Greatest — then salawat, then istighfar.
It closes with the words of Prophet Yunus (a) from inside the whale (21:87): "There is no god but You, glory be to You, surely I am of those who have wronged themselves" — the call the Qur'an names as the one answered when the distressed cry out.
Lines marked auto had their transliteration written by a machine from the vowelled Arabic rather than typed by hand, and are unreviewed. The Arabic is the text: where the two differ, follow the Arabic.
The Holy Prophet (s) said, whoever goes from this world while having love of Ahlul-Bayt (a) is a martyr (shaheed) either he was sick or accidentally passed away.
حضرت رسول خداؐ نے فرمایا: جو کوئی اس دنیا سے چلا جائے جب کہ اس کے دل میں اہل بیتؑ کی محبت ہو تو وہ شہید ہے چاہے اس کی موت بیماری یا حادثے سے ہوئی ہو۔
First 40 days are very important for the deceased and momineen should send gifts to their marhoom.
پہلے ۴۰ دن مرنے والے کے لئے بہت اہم ہوتے ہے اور مومنین کو چاہیے کہ اپنے مرحومین کے لئے طحفا بھجے۔
Give Sadaqah on behalf of mayyit.
میت کے نام سے سدقہ دے۔
Before burial, recite total 80 rakat namaz (in the form of 2x2 rakat like fajr) with the niyyat of Hadiya-e-Mayyit (gift to mayyit).
میت کو دفنا نے سے پہلے کل ۸۰ رکعت نماز ( دو دو کر کے نماز فجر کی طرح) ہدیہ میت کی نیت سے پڑھے۔
Then take one Mug of water and reciteSurah Yaasin 40 times, Surah Mulk 40 times and Surah Baqarah 3 times and blow it on the water and when the dead body is taken for burial pour that water in the grave which will ease the fishaar (grave punishment). By performing this amaal Allah (swt) will forgive the dead and will reward the reciters too.
پھر ایک جگ پانی پر ۴۰ مرتبہ سورۂ یس، ۴۰ مرتبہ سورۂ ملک اور ۳ مرتبہ سورۂ بقرہ پڑھ کر اس پانی پر دم کر کے اس پانی کو میت دفنانے کے وقت اس کی قبر میں ڈال دے جس سے اس کے فشار میں آسانی ھو۔ یس عماال کو انجام دےنے سے اللہ تعالی مرنے والے کے گناہ کو بخش دےگا اور پڑھنے والے کو بھی اجر عطا فرمائےگا۔
Recite each Zikr 100 times…
ہر ایک ذکر کو ۱۰۰ مرتبہ پڑھے۔۔۔
سُبْحَانَ اللہِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ وَلَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَاللہُ اَكْبَرُ۔
Subhaana allaahi wal-hamdu lillaahi walaa ilaaha illaa allaahu wallaahu akbar. auto
All glory be to Allah; all praise be to Allah; there is no god save Allah; Allah is the Greatest.
پاک ہے اﷲاور حمد اﷲہی کے لئے ہے اور اﷲکے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں اور اﷲبزرگ تر ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad. auto
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ رَبِّیْ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہِ۔
Astaghfiru allaaha rabbee wa atoobu ilayh. auto
I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I repent before Him.
معافی چاہتا ہوں اللہ سے جو میرا رب ہے اور اسکے حضور توبہ کرتا ہو۔
اَمَّنْ يُّجِيْبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ اِذَا دَعَاهٗ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوْٓءَ۔
Amman yujeebu al-mudtarra izaa da'aahoo wayakshifu as-soo'. auto
Or, Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil.
بھلا وہ کون ہے؟ جو مجبور کی فریاد کو سنتا ہے جب وہ اس کو آواز دیتا ہے۔
لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰنَكَ اِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ۔
Laa ilaaha illaa anta subhaanaka innee kuntu mina az-zaalimeen. auto
There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss.
پروردگار! تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے تو پاک و بے نیاز ہے اور میں اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرنے والوں میں سے تھا۔
