Gift to Parents
A namaz offered as a gift — a hadiya — for one’s parents, its reward intended for them rather than for the one praying. In the Shia tradition this is among the ways a child continues to do good for a mother and father after their death, and it may be prayed for parents who are still living.
Its supplications are the Qur’an’s own: the prayer of Ibrahim (a) asking forgiveness for himself, his parents and the believers on the Day the reckoning comes to pass, and the prayer of Nuh (a) for himself, his parents, whoever enters his house as a believer, and the believing men and women.
PLEASE NOTE: Be it clear that the reason for presenting Translation is to understand Salaat and to recite in Arabic with concentration because reciting Salaat other than Arabic language (or Transliteration) is not correct.
Rabbanagh fir lee wa le waaledaiya wa lil mo’meneena yawma yaqoomul hisaab.
O our Lord! Grant me protection and my parents and the believers on the day when the reckoning shall come to pass!
Rabbigh fir lee wa-le waaledaiya wa-le-man dakhala baiyteya mo’menan wa lil mo’meneena wal mo’menaat.
O our Lord! Grant me protection, my parents and the believer who has come to my house and also to other believer men and women.
Rabbir ham homa kama rabbayaani saghira.
O Lord! have mercy upon them (my parents) as they brought me up (when I was) small.
