Namaz-e-Gufhailaنمازِ غفیلہ
The text opens with the call of Yunus, who cried out amid affliction that there is no god but Allah, glorified Him and admitted that he had made himself suffer loss, and was answered and delivered from his grief. It then recalls that the keys of the unseen are with Allah alone, who knows what is in the land and the sea and what is hidden in the earth. The reciter asks Allah, in the name of those keys, to send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and to grant what is asked. The closing words acknowledge that Allah is the source of every grace the reciter has, has the power to answer, and already knows the need.

نماز مغرب وعشا کے درمیان ۲ رکعت نماز غفیلہ پڑھیں جس کی پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد یہ پڑھیں۔۔۔
وَذَا النُّوْنِ اِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَن لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادٰى فِي الظُّلُمٰتِ اَن لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰنَكَ اِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُنْجِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ۔
Wazaa an-nooni iz zahaba mughaadiban fazanna an lan naqdira 'alayhi fanaadaa fee az-zulumaati an laa ilaaha illaa anta subhaanaka innee kuntu mina az-zaalimeena fastajabnaa lahoo wanajjaynaahu mina al-ghammi wakazaalika nunjee al-mu'mineen.
And Yunus, when he went away in wrath, so he thought that We would not straiten him, so he called out among afflictions: There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss. So We responded to him and delivered him from the grief and thus do We deliver the believers.
اور یونسؑ کو یاد کرو کہ جب وہ غصّہ میں آکر چلے اور یہ خیال کیا کہ ہم ان پر روزی تنگ نہ کریں گے اور پھر تاریکیوں میں جاکر آواز دی کہ پروردگار تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے تو پاک و بے نیاز ہے اور میں اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرنے والوں میں سے تھا۔ تو ہم نے ان کی دعا کو قبول کرلیا اور انہیں غم سے نجات دلادی کہ ہم اسی طرح صاحبانِ ایمان کو نجات دلاتے رہتے ہیں۔
In 2nd rakat after Surah Fateha, recite the following Ayat (6:59) once…
دوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد یہ پڑھیں۔۔۔
وَعِنْدَهٗ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ اِلَّا هُوَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَّرَقَةٍ اِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِيْ ظُلُمٰتِ الْاَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَّلَا يَابِسٍ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِيْنٍ۔
Wa'indahoo mafaatihu al-ghaybi laa ya'lamuhaa illaa huwa waya'lamu maa fee al-barri wal-bahri wamaa tasqutu min waraqatin illaa ya'lamuhaa walaa habbatin fee zulumaati al-ardi walaa ratbin walaa yaabisin illaa fee kitaabin mubeen.
And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures- none knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book.
اور اس کے پاس غیب کے خزانے ہیں جنہیں اس کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے اور وہ خشک و تر سب کا جاننے والا ہے۔ کوئی پتہ بھی گرتا ہے تو اسے اس کا علم ہے زمین کی تاریکیوں میں کوئی دانہ یا کوئی خشک و تر ایسا نہیں ہے جو کتابِ مبین کے اندر محفوظ نہ ہو۔
Then do Qunoot and recite as below…
اس کے بعد قنوت کے لئے ہاتھ اُٹھاکر پڑھیں۔۔۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ بِمَفَاتِحِ الْغَیْبِ الَّتِیْ لَا یَعْلَمُھَآ اِلَّا اَنْتَ اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِیْ کَذَا وَکَذَا۔۔۔
Allaahumma innee as'aluka bimafaatihi al-ghaybi allatee laa ya'lamuhaa illaa anta an tusalliya 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin wa-an taf'ala bee kazaa wakazaa...
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of the Keys of the Invisible (world) that none knows save You; (please) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household and…
خداوندا! میں تجھ سے غیب کی کنجیوں کے واسطے سے سوال کرتا ہوں جنہیں سوائے تیرے کوئی نہیں جانتا کہ محمدوآل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور میرے حق میں یہ کام کر دے۔۔۔
Here you pray for your needs and then continue as below…
کذا و کذا کے بجائے یہاں اپنی حاجات بیان۔۔۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اَنْتَ وَلِیُّ نِعْمَتِیْ وَالْقَادِرُ عَلٰی طَلِبَتِیْ تَعْلَمُ حَاجَتِیْ فَاَسْئَلُکَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَیْہٖ وَعَلَیْھِمُ السَّلَامُ لَمَّا قَضَیْتَھَا لِیْ۔
Allaahumma anta waliyyu ni'matee wal-qaadiru 'alaa talibatee ta'lamu haajatee fa-as'aluka bihaqqi muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin 'alayhee wa'alayhimu as-salaamu lammaa qadaytahaa lee.
O Allah, You are the source of the graces that I have, You have the power to respond to my request, and You know my needs; I therefore beseech You in the name of Muhammad and his Household, peace be upon him and them, to grant me my needs.
اے معبود! تومجھے نعمت عطا کرنے والا ہے اور میری حاجت پر قدرت رکھتا ہے میری حاجت کو جانتا ہے پس محمدؐوآل محمدؐ کے واسطے سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ میری حاجت پوری فرما۔
Once again pray for your needs, Insha-Allah will be fulfilled.
اس کے بعد خدا سے اپنی حاجت طلب کریں۔کیوں کہ روایت میں ہے : جو یہ نماز پڑھے اور حاجت طلب کرے تو اس کی حاجت پوری ہوجائے گی۔
