Namaz-e-Shukr

نماز شکر

The namaz of thanksgiving, prayed when a supplication has been answered or a blessing received.

Its words are simply gratitude: all praise, thankfulness and gratitude belong to Allah — and then, precisely, “all praise belongs to Allah who fulfilled my dua and met my request.” It names what happened rather than asking for anything further, which is what makes it a shukr and not a dua.

The translation is given so the meaning is understood; the salaat is prayed in Arabic.

PLEASE NOTE: Be it clear that the reason for presenting Translation is to understand Salaat and to recite in Arabic with concentration because reciting Salaat other than Arabic language (or Transliteration) is not correct.

اَلْحَمْدُ الِلهِ شُكْرًا شُكْرًا وَحَمْدًا۔

Al-hamdo lillaahe shukran shukran wa hamdan.

All praise, thankfulness and gratitude belong to Allah.

ساری تعریف، شکر و حمد اللہ کے لئے۔

اَلْحَمْدُ الِلهِ الَّذِي اسْتَجَابَ دُعَائِيْ وَاَعْطَانِيْ مَسْاَلَتِيْ۔

Al-hamdo lillaa-hil lazis tajaa-ba doaa-ee wa a’taa-nee mas-ala-tee.

All praise belongs to God who fulfilled my du'a and met my request.

ساری تعرفیں اس اللہ کے لئے جس نے میری دعا کو قبول فرمایا اور میری حاجت کو پورا کیا۔
