Jafar-e-Tayyarجعفرِ طیار (ع)
Namaz-e-Jafar-e-Tayyar is a recommended (mustahab) four-rak’ah prayer of the Shia tradition, taught by the Prophet Muhammad (s) to his cousin Ja’far ibn Abi Talib — Ja’far al-Tayyar, ‘the Flyer’ — on his return from Abyssinia. Its distinctive feature is the tasbih “Subhan Allah wa’l-hamdu lillah wa la ilaha illa Allah wa Allahu akbar,” recited three hundred times across the prayer. It is performed seeking the forgiveness of sins and the granting of one’s needs; by a narration from the Prophet (s), its sins are forgiven though they be as the sands of the desert.

Shaykh Abul Tayyib Husain ibn Ahmad Razi, the jurisprudent, has mentioned that whoever visits the shrine of any Imam (a) and offers this namaz will have the reward of one who has gone on ritual hajj for 1000 times, and ritual umrah for 1000 times, manumitted 1000 slaves for the sake of Allah, and participated in a holy war with a missioned Prophet 1000 times for each rakat of prayer he performs. For each step that he makes, he will be granted the reward of one hundred times of going on ritual hajj and one hundred times of going on ritual ‘umrah; and he will also gain the rewards of doing one hundred good deeds and one hundred punishable sins of him will be erased.

Most preferable time for this namaz is Friday morning. It consists of 4 rakat and has to be recited in the form of 2x2. In 1st rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Zilzaal, in 2nd rak’at after Surah Fateha recite Surah Aadiyaat, in 3rd rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Nasr and in 4th rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Ikhlaas once. اس کا افضل و قت روزِ جمعہ کا پہلا حصّہ ہے،یہ ۴ رکعت نما ز ہے جو دودو کر کے پڑھی جاتی ہے، پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ زلزال، دوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہکے بعد سورۂ عادیات،تیسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ نصر اور چو تھی ر کعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ اخلاص پڑھیں۔ نیز ہر رکعت میں سوروں کو پڑھنے کے بعد ۱۵ مرتبہ تسبیحات اربعہ پڑھے۔۔۔
سُبْحَانَ اللہِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ وَلَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَاللہُ اَكْبَرُ۔
Subhaana allaahi wal-hamdu lillaahi walaa ilaaha illaa allaahu wallaahu akbar.
All glory be to Allah; all praise be to Allah; there is no god save Allah; Allah is the Greatest.
پاک ہے اﷲاور حمد اﷲہی کے لئے ہے اور اﷲکے سوا کوئی معبودنہیں اور اﷲبزرگ تر ہے۔
Then in each rakat recite 10 times Tasbeehaat’e Arba in Ruku, while standing from Ruku, in 1st sajdah, while getting up from 1st sajdah, in 2nd sajdah, while getting up from 2nd Sajdah. In this way the total number of Tasbeehaat’e Arba in 4 rakat will be 300.
یہی تسبیحا ت ہر رکوع میں، رکو ع سے سر اُ ٹھا نے کے بعد، پہلے سجدے میں، سجدے سے سراُٹھا نے کے بعد، دوسرے سجدے میں اور سجدے سے سراُٹھا نے کے بعد کھڑے ہونے سے پہلے ۱۰-۱۰ مرتبہ پڑھیں۔جب چاروں رکعتوں میں یہ عمل بجا لا ئیں تو یہ کل ۳۰۰ تسبیحات ہو جا ئیں گی۔

شیخ کلینیؒ نے ابو سعید مدائنی سے رو ایت کی ہے : امام جعفر صا دقؑ نے مجھے فرمایا: کیا تمہیں ایسی چیز تعلیم نہ کروں جسے تم نما زِ جعفر طیا رؑ میں پڑھا کرو ؟میں نے عرض کی: ہاں ضرور تعلیم فرمائیں۔ تو آپ نے فرما یا : ان چا ر رکعتو ں کے آخر ی سجدے میں تسبیحاتِ ا ر بعہ کے بعد یہ دعا پڑھو۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَبِسَ الْعِزَّ وَالْوَقَارَ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَعَطَّفَ بِالْمَجْدِ وَتَكَرَّمَ بِہٖ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَّا یَنْۢبَغِیْ التَّسْبِیْحُ اِلَّا لَہٗ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ اَحْصٰی كُلَّ شَیْئٍ عِلْمُہٗ سُبْحَانَ ذِی الْمَنِّ وَالنِّعَمِ سُبْحَانَ ذِی الْقُدْرَۃِ وَالْكَرَمِ۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِمَعَاقِدِ الْعِزِّ مِنْ عَرْشِكَ وَمُنْتَھَی الرَّحْمَۃِ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ وَاسْمِكَ الْاَعْظَمِ وَكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّآمَّۃِ الَّتِیْ تَمَّتْ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاَھْلِ بَیْتِہٖ وَافْعَلْ بِیْ كَذَا وَكَذَا۔
Subhaana man labisa al-'izza wal-waqaara subhaana man ta'attafa bil-majdi watakarrama bihee subhaana man laa yanbaghee at-tasbeehu illaa lahoo subhaana man ahsaa kulla shay'in 'ilmuhoo subhaana zee al-manni wan-ni'ami subhaana zee al-qudrati wal-karam.
Allaahumma innee as'aluka bima'aaqidi al-'izzi min 'arshika wamuntahaa ar-rahmati min kitaabika wasmika al-a'zami wakalimaatika at-taammati allatee tammat sidqan wa'adlan salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-ahli baytihee waf'al bee kazaa wakazaa.
Glory be to He Who covers Himself with honour and dignity. Glory be to He Who bestows favours abundantly, therefore surpasses in glory. Glory be to He except whom none is worthy of glorification. Glory be to He Whose wisdom surrounds everything; Glory be to He Who owns favours and bounties, Glory be to He who is the Lord of Power and Generosity. O Allah! I beseech Thee in the name of that which is the cause of the majesty of Thy Arsh; and is the ultimate mercy in Thy book, and (in the name of) Thy “ ismi Aazam” and Thy complete and perfect words which have been made thorough and conclusive through truth and justice. Send blessings on Muhammad and on the progeny of Muhammad, and do for me such and such.
پاک ہے وہ جس نے عزّت و وقار کا لباس پہنا ہوا ہے۔ پاک ہے وہ جو بزرگی پر ناز کرتا ہے اور بزرگی ظاہر فرماتا ہے۔ پاک ہے وہ جس کے علاوہ کوئی اور لائقِ تسبیح نہیں۔ پاک ہے وہ جوہر چیز کی تعدادکا علم رکھتا ہے۔ پاک ہے وہ جو صاحبِ احسان و نعمت ہے۔ پاک ہے وہ جو صاحبِ قدرت و بزرگی ہے۔ اے معبود!بے شک میں تیرے عرش کے بلند مقامات تیری کتاب کی انتہائے رحمت اور تیرے اسم اعظم اور تیرے کامل کلمات، جو صدق وعدل میں پورے ہیں۔( ان) کے واسطے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ تو حضرت محمدؐ اور ان کے اہل بیتؑ پر رحمت فرما اورمیری فلاں فلاں حاجت پوری کر۔
Then complete your namaz and ask for your needs to your Lord.
كَذا وَكَذا کے بجائے اپنی حاجات طلب کرے۔
Then raise your hands and repeat each zikr till your breath breaks…
شیخؒ و سیّدؒ نے مفضل ابن عمر سے روایت کی ہے : ایک دن میں نے دیکھا کہ امام جعفر صادقؑ نے نماز جعفرِ طیارؑ پڑھی، پھر اپنے ہاتھ اٹھاکر ہر ایک ذکر کو ایک سانس کے برابر پڑھنے لگے۔۔۔
يَارَبِّ يَارَبِّ
Yaa rabbi yaa rabb
O Lord, O Lord!
اے میرے رب اے میرے رب!
يَارَبَّاهٗ يَارَبَّاهٗ
Yaa rabbaahoo yaa rabbaah
O my Lord, O my Lord!
اے پروردگار اے پروردگار!
رَبِّ رَبِّ
Rabbi rabb
Lord, Lord!
میرے رب میرے رب۔
يَااَللهُ يَااَللهُ
Yaa allaahu yaa allaah
O Allah, O Allah!
اے اللہ اے اللہ۔
يَاحَىُّ يَاحَىُّ
Yaa hayyu yaa hayy
O Ever-living, O Ever-living!
اے زندہ اے زندہ۔
يَارَحِيْمُ يَارَحِيْمُ
Yaa raheemu yaa raheem
O All-merciful, O All-merciful!
اے مہربان اے مہربان۔
Then repeat each 7 times…
پھر ہر ایک ذکر ۷ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
يَارَحْمٰنُ يَارَحْمٰنُ
Yaa rahmaanu yaa rahmaan
O All-compassionate, O All-compassionate!
اے بڑے رحم والے اے بڑ ے رحم والے!
يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
Yaa arhama ar-raahimeen.
O Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
اے سب سے ز یا دہ رحم کرنے والے۔

پھرکہے۔۔۔

اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَفْتَتِحُ الْقَوْلَ بِحَمْدِكَ وَاَنْطِقُ بِالثَّنَآءِ عَلَیْكَ وَاُمَجِّدُكَ وَلَا غَایَۃَ لِمَدْحِكَ وَاُثْنِیْ عَلَیْكَ وَمَنْ یَبْلُغُ غَایَۃَ ثَنَآئِكَ وَاَمَدَ مَجْدِكَ وَاَنّٰی لِخَلِیْقَتِكَ كُنْہُ مَعْرِفَۃِ مَجْدِكَ وَاَیَّ زَمَنٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ مَمْدُوْحًا بِفَضْلِكَ مَوْصُوْفًا بِمَجْدِكَ عَوَّادًا عَلَی الْمُذْنِبِیْنَ بِحِلْمِكَ تَخَلَّفَ سُكَّانُ اَرْضِكَ عَنْ طَاعَتِكَ فَكُنْتَ عَلَیْھِمْ عَطُوْفًا بِجُوْدِكَ جَوَادًا بِفَضْلِكَ عَوَّادًا بِكَرَمِكَ یَالَآ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ ذُوْ الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ۔
Allaahumma innee aftatihu al-qawla bihamdika wa-antiqu bith-thanaa'i 'alayka wa-umajjiduka walaa ghaayata limadhika wa-uthnee 'alayka waman yablughu ghaayata thanaa'ika wa-amada majdika wa-annaa likhaleeqatika kunhu ma'rifati majdika wa-ayya zamanin lam takun mamdoohan bifadlika mawsoofan bimajdika 'awwaadan 'alaa al-muznibeena bihilmika takhallafa sukkaanu ardika 'an taa'atika fakunta 'alayhim 'atoofan bijoodika jawaadan bifadlika 'awwaadan bikaramika yaa laa ilaaha illaa anta al-mannaanu zoo al-jalaali wal-ikraam.
O Allah, I open my words with Your praise and speak in lauding You, and I glorify You, though there is no end to Your praise, and I extol You; yet who can reach the limit of Your laudation and the extent of Your glory? How can Your creatures attain the full knowledge of Your glory? At what time were You not praised for Your grace, described by Your glory, returning to the sinners with Your forbearance? The dwellers of Your earth fell short in obeying You, yet You were kind to them through Your generosity, bountiful through Your grace, returning to them with Your benevolence. O You besides whom there is no god, the Bestower of favours, the Possessor of majesty and honour!
اے معبود! میں تیری حمد کے ساتھ آغازِ سخن کرتا ہوں اور تیری ثنا کرتے ہوئے بولتا ہوں تیری بزرگی بیان کرتا ہوں تیری تعریف کی کوئی انتہا نہیں میں تیرا ثنا خواں ہوں اور کون تیری ثنا کی حد اور تیری بزرگی کی انتہا تک پہنچ سکتا ہے، تیرے پیدا کیے ہوئے کیوں کر تیری بزرگی تک پہنچ سکتے ہیں وہ کون سا زمانہ ہے جس میں تو اپنے فضل کے باعث لائقِ مدح اپنی بزرگی میں قابلِ ذکراور اپنے حلم کی بدولت گناہگاروں پر کرم نہ کرتا تھا تیری زمین پر رہنے والوں نے تیری فرماں برداری سے منہ موڑا لیکن تو ان کے لئے اپنی بخشش سے مہربان اپنے فضل سے سخی اور اپنے کرم سے توجہ فرمارہا ہے اے وہ جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو احسان کرنے والا صاحبِ جلالت اور شان والا ہے۔
Then pray for your needs; Insha-Allah they will be fulfilled.
پھر آپ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: اے مفضل! جب تمہیں کوئی بڑی اور ضروری حاجت پیش آئے تو نمازِ جعفر طیار پڑھو اور اس دُعا کے بعد اپنی حا جت طلب کرو تو انشا ا للہ وہ پو ری ہو جائے گی۔
