Surah Zilzaal (99, 8 ayat)سورۂ زلزال

The scene is the earth shaken with her violent shaking, throwing up her burdens while man asks what has befallen her. On that day she tells her news, because her Lord had inspired her, and men come forth in sundry bodies to be shown their works. Whoever has done an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever an atom's weight of evil will see that.

Quaking (Madani)

It is narrated from Imam Jafar Sadiq (a) that whoever recites this Surah in his nawaafil (recommended) prayers will not die as a result of an earthquake and will be saved from all the natural calamities. The experience of death is made easy for the one who recites this Surah and he sees the light of Jannah as he is about to die. Then, 70000 angels accompany his soul to the heavens. Keeping this Surah in one’s possession is a safety from tyrant rulers.

امام جعفرصادقؑ فرماتے ہیں: سورۂ زلزال کی تلاوت فراموش نہ کرو جس نے مستحب نماز میں اس کی تلاوت کی وہ کبھی زلزلہ سے دوچار نہ ہوگا زلزلہ، بجلی کی چمک دھمک اوردنیاوی بلا سے اس کو موت نہ آئے گی مرنے کے بعد وہ راہیِ جنّت ہوگا (مجمع البیان ج۱۰ص۴۱۶)۔ رسول اﷲؐسے روایت ہوئی ہے: جس نے چار مرتبہ سورۂ زلزال پڑھی تو وہ اس شخص کے مثل ہے جس نے پورا قرآن ختم کیا ہے۔

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا

Izaa zulzilati al-ardu zilzaalahaa

When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking

جب زمین زوروں کے ساتھ زلزلہ میں آجائے گی۔

وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَا

Wa-akhrajati al-ardu athqaalahaa

And the earth brings forth her burdens

اور وہ سارے خزانے نکال ڈالے گی۔

وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا

Waqaala al-insaanu maa lahaa

And man says: What has befallen her?

اور انسان کہے گا کہ اسے کیا ہو گیا ہے۔

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَا

Yawma'izin tuhaddithu akhbaarahaa

On that day she shall tell her news

اس دن وہ اپنی خبریں بیان کرے گی۔

بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَا

Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa lahaa

Because your Lord had inspired her.

کہ تمہارے پروردگار نے اسے اشارہ کیا ہے۔

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْ

Yawma'izin yasduru an-naasu ashtaatan liyuraw a'maalahum

On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.

اس روز سارے انسان گروہ در گروہ قبروں سے نکلیں گے تاکہ اپنے اعمال کو دیکھ سکیں۔

فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗ

Faman ya'mal mithqaala zarratin khayran yarah

So he who has done an atom’s weight of good shall see it.

پھر جس شخص نے ذرہ برابر نیکی کی ہے وہ اسے دیکھے گا۔

وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ

Waman ya'mal mithqaala zarratin sharran yarah

And he who has done an atom’s weight of evil shall see it.

اور جس نے ذرہ برابر برائی کی ہے وہ اسے دیکھے گا۔

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

Sadaqa allaahu al-'aliyyu al-'azeem.

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
