Surah Aadiyaat (100, 11 ayat)سورۂ عادیات

Oaths open on runners that breathe pantingly, strike fire, raid at morning, raise dust and rush upon an assembly. It turns then to man: ungrateful to his Lord, himself a witness to that, and tenacious in his love of wealth. It asks whether he knows, when what is in the graves is raised and what is in the breasts made apparent, their Lord that day is fully aware of them.

Chargers (Makki)

In a tradition from the Holy Prophet (s) it is said that the reward for reciting this Surah is equivalent to 10 times the number who are present in Arafah and Muzdalifa at the time of Hajj. Imam Jafar Sadiq (a) has said that those people who recite Surah Aadiyaat everyday will be counted from the companions of Ameerul Mu’mineen (a) and it has also been narrated that reciting this Surah daily carries the reward of reciting the entire Qur’an. If a person has many creditors, recitation of this Surah will help clear his debts. If recited by a person in fear, this Surah brings him to safety; if recited by a hungry person, it helps in his finding sustenance; if recited by a thirsty person, his thirst will be quenched.

امام جعفرصادقؑ فرماتے ہیں:پابندی سے سورۂ عادیات کی تلاوت کرنے والا روزِ قیامت حضرت علیؑ کےخاص صحابی میں شمار کیاجائے گا اور آپ کے ساتھ آپ کے ساتھیوں کے ساتھ رہے گا (مجمع البیان ج۱۰ص۴۲۱)۔ روایات میں آیاہے : جو شخص مسلسل یہ سورہ پڑھتا رہے تو وہ قیا مت میں امیر المومنینؑ کے ساتھ محشور ہو گا۔

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

وَالْعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبْحًا

Wal-'aadiyaati dabhaa

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly

فراٹے بھرتے ہوئے تیز رفتار گھوڑوں کی قسم۔

فَالْمُوْرِيٰتِ قَدْحًا

Fal-mooriyaati qadhaa

Then those that produce fire striking

جو ٹاپ مار کر چنگاریاں اُڑانے والے ہیں۔

فَالْمُغِيْرٰتِ صُبْحًا

Fal-mugheeraati subhaa

Then those that make raids at morn

پھر صبح دم حملہ کرنے والے ہیں۔

فَاَثَرْنَ بِهٖ نَقْعًا

Fa-atharna bihee naq'aa

Then thereby raise dust

پھر غبارِ جنگ اڑانے والے ہیں۔

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهٖ جَمْعًا

Fawasatna bihee jam'aa

Then rush thereby upon an assembly:

اور دشمن کی جمعیت میں در آنے والے ہیں۔

اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوْدٌ

Inna al-insaana lirabbihee lakanood

Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.

بے شک انسان اپنے پروردگار کے لئے بڑا ناشکرا ہے۔

وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيْدٌ

Wa-innahoo 'alaa zaalika lashaheed

And most surely he is a witness of that.

اور وہ خود بھی اس بات کا گواہ ہے۔

وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيْدٌ

Wa-innahoo lihubbi al-khayri lashadeed

And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

اور وہ مال کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہے۔

اَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُوْرِ

Afalaa ya'lamu izaa bu'thira maa fee al-quboor

Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised

کیا اسے نہیں معلوم ہے کہ جب مردوں کو قبروں سے نکالا جائے گا۔

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُوْرِ

Wahussila maa fee as-sudoor

And what is in the breasts is made apparent?

اور دل کے رازوں کو ظاہر کر دیا جائے گا۔

اِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيْرٌ

Inna rabbahum bihim yawma'izin lakhabeer

Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.

تو ان کا پروردگار اس دن کے حالات سے خوب باخبر ہو گا۔

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

Sadaqa allaahu al-'aliyyu al-'azeem.

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
