حضرت امام رضاؑ سے منقول ہے کہ جو شخص اس ذکر کے ورد کو اپنا معمول بنالے وہ عمر دراز پائے گا, اپنی مرادیں پالے گا، اپنے دشمن پر کامیابی حاصل کرے گا اور ہمیشہ دلوں کا حاکم و پسندیدہ ہوگا۔۔۔
یَا حَیُّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ

یَا حَیُّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ

آنحضرتؐ سے مروی ہے کہ روزانہ 41 مرتبہ اس ذکر کا ورد کرنا چاہئے۔۔۔
یَا حَیُّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ یَا لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ اَسْئَلُکَ اَنْ تُحْیِیْ قَلْبِیْ بِنُوْرِ مَعْرِفَتِکَ یَا اَللہُ
Yaa hayyu yaa qayyoomu yaa laa ilaaha illaa anta as'aluka an tuhyee qalbee binoori ma'rifatika yaa allaah
O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, O You—there is no god except You. I ask You to enliven my heart with the light of knowing You, O Allah.
اے ہمیشہ زندہ رہنے والے! اے سب کو قائم رکھنے والے! اے وہ ذات کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ میرے دل کو اپنی معرفت کے نور سے زندہ کر دے، اے اللہ۔
