زیارت ۱۷ ربیع الاول
A ziyarat for the seventeenth of Rabi al-Awwal — the date on which the Twelver Shia tradition observes the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s), and on which, in 83 AH, Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a) was also born.
The text is a declaration rather than a petition. It bears witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without associate, and that Muhammad (s) is His servant and Messenger, the chief of the first and the last and of all the prophets and messengers; and it then asks blessings upon him and upon his Household, the immaculate Imams.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَاَنَّهٗ سَيِّدُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْآخِرِيْنَ وَاَنَّهٗ سَيِّدُ الْاَنْۢبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الْاَئِمَّةِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ۔
Ash-hado an laa ilaaha illal-laaho wahda-hu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hado anna mohammadan a’bdo-hu wa rasoolo-hu saiyya-dul awliyaa-na wal-aakheree-na wa anna-hu saiyye-dul ambiyaa-e wal mur-saleena.
Allaahumma salle a’laihe wa a’laa ahle-baiyte-hil aimma-tit taiyye-beena.
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, alone without having any associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, that he is the chief of the ancient and the coming generations, and that he is the chief of all Prophets and Messengers. O Allah, send blessings upon him and upon his Household the Immaculate Imams.
میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اﷲکے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو یکتا ہے کوئی اس کا شریک نہیں اور گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمدؐ اس کے بندےاور رسول ؐہیں جو اولین وآخرین کے سید و سردار ہیں اوروہ نبیوں اور رسولوں کے بھی سردار ہیں۔اے معبود! ان پر اور ان کے اہل بیتؑ پر رحمت فرما جو پاک و پاکیزہ امامؑ ہیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
