About this day
Known also as Shab-e-Barat, this night begins at maghrib on the evening before the fifteenth of Shaban, not on the evening of the fifteenth itself, which is where community calendars most often slip. Twelver sources describe it as the greatest night after Laylat al-Qadr. The Centre keeps it as a night of dua, with the vigil, recitation, Dua Kumayl and Ziyarat Aal-e Yasin.
