شیخ کلینیؒ نے موثق سند کے ساتھ امام جعفر صادقؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ آپؑ نے فرمایا کہ ایک رات میں نے سنا کہ میرے والد گرامی مسجد میں حالت سجدہ میں روتے ہوئے یہ دعا پڑھ رہے تھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
سُبْحانَكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّىْ حَقًّا حَقًّا سَجَدْتُ لَكَ يا رَبِّ تَعَبُّدًا وَرِقًّا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ عَمَلِىْ ضَعِيْفٌ فَضَاعِفْهُ لِىْ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ قِنِىْ عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ وَتُبْ عَلَىَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ۔
Subhaanaka allaahumma anta rabbee haqqan haqqan sajadtu laka yaa rabbi ta'abbudan wariqqaa.
Allaahumma inna 'amalee da'eefun fadaa'ifhu lee.
Allaahumma qinee 'azaabaka yawma tab'athu 'ibaadaka watub 'alayya innaka anta at-tawwaabu ar-raheem.
Glory be to You, O Allah. You are my Lord, truly, truly. I prostrate to You, O Lord, in worship and in humble servitude. O Allah, my deeds are weak so multiply them for me. O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants, and accept my repentance; surely You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Merciful.
اے معبود! تو پاک ہے تو میرا پکا سچا رب ہے، یا رب میں نے تجھے عبادت وبندگی کے لئے سجدہ کیا ہے، اے معبود! بےشک میرا عمل کمزور ہے، پس اسے میرے لیے دگنا کردے، اے معبود! مجھے اس دن اپنے عذاب سے بچانا جب تو لوگوں کو زندہ کرے گااورمیری توبہ قبول فرما کہ بےشک تو بہت توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
