Ya Khaial Mas-ooleen

یَاخَیْرَ الْمَسْئُوْلِیْنَ

A short dua for the sajdah of thanks — the prostration made after prayer, or on receiving a blessing.

It addresses Allah as the Best of those who are asked and the Best of those who give, and asks provision from His bounty for the reciter and for their family, “for surely You are the Possessor of great bounty”. It closes with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.

بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

یَاخَیْرَ الْمَسْئُوْلِیْنَ وَیَا خَیْرَ الْمُعْطِیْنَ اُرْزُقْنِیْ وَارْزُقْ عِیَالِیْ مِنْ فَضْلِکَ فَاِنَّکَ ذُوالْفَضْلِ الْعَظِیْمِ۔

Yaa khai-ral mas-oo-leena wa yaa khai-ral mo’teena ur-zuqnee war-zuq e’yaa-lee min fazle-ka fa-inna-ka zul-faz-lil a’zeeme.

O Best of those who are asked, and O Best of givers! Grant me provision and grant my family provision from Your bounty, for surely You are the Possessor of great bounty.

اے سب سے بہتر جس سے مانگا جاتا ہے، اور اے سب سے بہتر دینے والے! مجھے رزق عطا فرما اور میرے اہلِ خانہ کو بھی اپنے فضل سے رزق دے، بے شک تو بہت بڑے فضل والا ہے۔

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin

Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
