Sabaasabدُعاء سباسب

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

So Moses conceived a fear in his mind. We said: Fear not, you shall be the uppermost. And cast down what is in your right hand, it shall devour what they have made. they have made only the deceit of a magician and the magician is not successful wherever he goes So the magicians fell down in prostration, they said, “We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses” Thus they were vanquished there, and they went back abased So the truth was established, and what they were doing became void.

اب موسٰیؑ نے اپنے دل میں کچھ خوف محسوس کیا ہم نے کہا ڈرو نہیں یقینًا غالب آنے والے تمہیں ہو اور جو کچھ تمہارے ہاتھ میں ہے اسے ڈال دو کہ نگل جائے اس کو جو کچھ انہوں نے بنایا ہے وہ تو جادوگروں کا کرتب ہے اور جادوگر جب بھی سامنے کامیاب نہیں ہو سکتا پس وہ سب جادوگر مجبورًا سجدے میں گرپڑے کہنے لگے ہیں ہم ہارونؑ اور موسٰیؑ کے رب پر ایمان لائے پس وہ سب لوگ اس موقع پر مغلوب ہوئے اور ذلیل ہو کر واپس گئے پس اسی طرح حق ثابت ہو گیا اور عمل وہ کر رہے تھے وہ سب باطل ہوگیا۔

Then We inspired Moses, saying: Strike the sea with your staff So it parted, and each part was like a grand mountain. I have taken refuge with Allah, my Lord and the Lord of all, from the magic of every magician, and the treachery of the treacherous, and the plots of the cunning And from the evil of every venomous creature, and beast, and evil eye And from the evil of every evil one, and the madness of the oppressors And the victory of every enemy, and the gloating of every malicious.

چنانچہ ہم نے موسٰیؑ کو وحی کی کہ تم سمندر پر اپنے عصا کو مارو (مارا) تو وہ پھٹ گیا اور اس کا ہر ٹکڑا بڑے پہاڑ کی مانند ہو گیا میں پناہ مانگتا ہوں اپنے اور اپنے علاوہ ہر شے کے پروردگار خدا کیسا تھ ہر جادوگر کے جادو سے اور ہر فریب دینے والے کے فریب سے اور ہر چال چلنے والے کی چال سے اور ہر زہردار کیڑے کے ضرر سے اور نظر بد سے اور ہر شر پہنچا نے والے کے شر سے اور ہر حملہ آور کے حملہ سے اور ہر دشمن کے غلبہ سے اور ہر پوشیدہ دشمنی رکھنے والے کی شماتت سے۔

I repulsed by Allah their onslaught, and I sought refuge with Allah from their evil And I sought help with Allah against them. I have worn armour with the power of Allah against their strength I am fortified with the strength of Allah against their armies And I have repelled them from me with the impelling force of Allah that vanquishes, and His astounding power And I attacked them with the lethal arrows of Allah, and His sharp swords.

میں ان سب کا دفعیہ اللہ کے زریعہ سے کرتا ہوں اور ان کی بدیوں سے بچنے کے لئے اللہ ہی سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور ان کے برخلاف اللہ ہی سے مدد مانگتا ہوں انکے مددگاروں سے بچنے کے لئے میں نے خدا وندا تعالٰی کی قدرت کی زرہ پہن لی ہے اور ان کی فوجوں سے محفوظ رہنے کے لیئے میں خداوند عالم کی قوت کے قلعہ میں آگیا ہوں اور خداوند عالم کے زبردست دفاع کے زریعہ سے اور اس کے ظاہر غلبہ کے باعث میں نے ان سب کا دفعیہ کر دیا ہے اور ان کے اوپر قتل کر دینے والا خدائی تیر لگایا اور ٹکڑے اڑا دینے والی خدائی تلوار چلائی ہے۔

I have overcome them with the great assault of Allah, and I banished them with the permission of Allah And I scattered and divided them with the power of Allah I tore them to utter pieces with the strength of Allah I shattered and dispersed them with the force of Allah And there is no power nor strength except with the Mighty Allah I conquered the one who was hostile towards me with the victorious army of Allah And I overcame the one who antagonised me with the domination of Allah that is greatest.

میں نے خدائی طاقت سے ان کی گرفت کی اور حکم خدا سے ان کو نکال دیا اور قدرت خدا سے ان میں پھوٹ ڈال دی اور قدرت خدا سے ان کے پرخچے اڑا دیئے اور خدائی زور سے ان کے شیرازہ کو منتشر کر دیا اور خدا ئے بزرگ و برتر کے سہارے بغیر کسی میں کوئی قدرت اور قوت ہے ہی نہیں۔ جس نے میری مخالفت کی خدائے تعالٰی کے سب سے زیادہ غالب لشکر کے ساتھ میں اس پر غالب آیا اور جس نے مجھ سے دشمنی کی خدائے تعالٰی کے سب سے بڑے اقتدار کے ساتھ میں نے اس کو مغلوب کر دیا۔

And I destroyed the one who aspired against me with the power of Allah that is supreme And I am free from the one who harms me with the taking of Allah that is fastest And I repelled the one who was aggressive against me with the might of Allah that forbids And there is no power nor strength nor ability nor help nor victory nor aid nor honour except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great And may Allah send blessings on our master and our Prophet, Muhammad and his pure family.

اور جس نے مجھ سے بدی کرنے کا ارادہ کیا خدائے تعالٰی کی بڑی طاقت کے ساتھ میں نے اسکو تباہ کردیا۔ اور جس نے مجھے ایذا دی خدائے تعالٰی کی تیز گرفت کے ساتھ میں نے اس کو ہلاک کر دیا اور جس نے مجھ پر زیادتی کی خدائے تعالٰی کے پر زور جلال کے ساتھ میں نے اس کو دفع کیا اور بغیر خدائے تعالٰی بزرگ برتر کے سہارے کے نہ کسی میں کوئی قدرت ہو سکتی ہے نہ طاقت نہ حفاظت نہ نصرت نہ مدد نہ تائید نہ غلبہ اور خداوند عالم ہمارے سردار اور ہمارے نبی (جناب) محمد مصطفٰیؐ و آل پاکؑ پر اپنی رحمت نازل فرما۔

I conquered the opposing factions by the dominance of Allah I threw fear into their hearts with the permission of Allah I cast dread upon their hearts by the pride of Allah And I scattered and divided them with the control of Allah I tore them to utter pieces with the strength of Allah I thoroughly destroyed them with the power of Allah I took away their hearing, and their vision, and their limbs, and their frames, with the strong and severe assault of Allah, and His vehemence.

میں نے خدائے تعالٰی کے دبدبہ سے أفواج کو شکست دے دی اور خداوند عالم کے حکم سے ان کے سینوں میں رعب داخل کر دیا خداوند عالم کے غلبہ سے ان کے دلوں پر خوف مسلط کر دیا خداوند عالم کی جبروت سے ان میں پھوٹ ڈال دی خداوند عالم کی قوت سے ان کے پرخچے اڑا دیئے خداوندا عالم کی قوت سے ان کو تباہ کر دیا میں نے ان کے کانوں اور آنکھوں اور ان کے ہاتھ پاؤں کی قوتوں کو خدا ئے قوی و زبردست کی زبردست گرفت سے سلب کر لیا۔

And I repelled them from us by the power of Allah that is Highest and Greatest, and His Strength And I annihilated them, and their armies, and their bravery, and their courage, and their helpers, and their supporters, with the unyielding aid of Allah, and the evident help of Allah (Thus they are) vanquished, terrified, scared, unsuccessful, driven back, defeated, crippled, imprisoned, overwhelmed, reviled, subjugated.

اور خدائے بزرگ و برتر کی مضبوط طاقت سے ان لوگوں کو اپنے سے دفع کر دیا اور ان کی ٹولیوں کو اور ان کے بہادروں کو ان کے پہلوانوں کو ان کے مددگاروں کو ان کے ساتھیوں کو خدائے تعالٰی کی زبردست تائید اور اسکی کھلی مدد سے شکست دے دی اس حالت میں کہ اب وہ شکست خوردہ ہیں مرعوب ہیں خوفزدہ ہیں ذلیل ہیں مغلوب ہیں، شکستہ ہیں، قیدی ہیں، ششدر ہیں اور ہر طرح پست ہیں۔

O Allah repel them from us by Your power, Your strength, Your seizing, and Your dominance Disunited, pulverized, overwhelmed, reviled, subdued, Driven away, horrified, abased, Losers, abandoned, conquered, Awe-struck, disappointed, priorities changed Distraught in their fleeing, confused in their return, bewildered in their retreat.

یا اللہ تو ان سب لوگوں کو اپنی قدرت اپنی قوت اپنی گرفت اور اپنی سطوت کے ذریعہ سے مجھ سے دور رکھ کہ پریشان و پراگندہ رہیں حیران پست ذلیل زیردست رہیں اور ہر طرح کا نقصان اٹھائیں کوئی ان کی مدد نہ کرے وہ مغلوب رہیں ہکا بکا رہ جائیں منحوس سمجھے جائیں ان کی حالتیں بدل جائیں اور برگشتہ رہیں جہاں جانا چاہیں نابینا رہیں اگر آنا چاہیں راستے ہی میں اپنے ٹھکانے پر چکر کاٹتے رہیں۔

Growing in their destruction, engrossed in their physical pleasures, wounded in their bodies, injured in their minds, smitten on their necks, kept away from their arrows Prevented from their goals, thwarted in their attack, stricken down from their ambitions Disappointed from not reaching their aims, their group scattered and disbanded.

(ہاں) ہلاکت میں جلد پڑجائیں اپنے جسم کی بلاؤں میں مشغول رہیں بدن ان کے طرح طرح سے زخمی ہوں رایوں میں ان کی طرح طرح کے فتور پڑیں، گردنیں ان کی ماری جائیں تیر اندازی کرنے سے وہ معذور ہو جائیں اور مقصد ان کا کوئی پورا نہ ہو آنے جانے میں ان کو دھکے دیئے جائیں منہ کے بل گرائے جائیں جدھر رُخ کریں ان پر طعنے دیئے جائیں جہاں جمع ہوں ان کا شیرازہ منتشر ہو۔

Their hearts sealed over, their minds closed up Their vision obscured, their tongues tied up Their wisdom and their understanding slowed Their hands and their feet strained Their onslaught repelled by You O Allah (We) seek refuge with You from their evil (We) seek help with You against them.

دلوں پر چھاپا لگا دیا جائے عقلوں پر ان کے مہر لگ جائے آنکھوں پر ان کے پردے پڑ جائیں زبانوں میں ان کے گرہ لگا دی جائے عقلیں اور رائیں ان کی باندھ دی جائیں ہاتھ پاؤں ان کے کس دیئے جائیں یا اللہ تیری ہی مدد سے سب تدبیریں ان کی بیکار ہو سکتی ہیں اور ان کے شر سے بچنے کے لیئے تیری ہی پناہ لی جا سکتی ہے اور ان کے برخلاف تجھ سے فریاد ہوتی ہے۔

O Allah seize them with Your speedy capture And authorise upon them Your severe afflictions (Thus they are) Repelled, knocked down, panicked in their souls Infatuated in their pleasures, overturned on their faces and their noses Hanged on their ropes and their cords Bound in shackles, confined in chains, joined in fetters.

یا اللہ تو اپنی تیز گرفت سے ان کو پکڑ لے اور ان پر اپنا عذاب ایسا مسلط کر دے کہ وہ ان کو رُلا رُلا دے وہ دُور کئے جائیں وہ روک دیئے جائیں وہ اپنے دل میں گھٹتے ہی رہیں۔ اپنے منہ اور نتھنوں کے بل کھینچے جائیں وہ انہیں کی بٹی ہوئی رسیوں سے ان کا گلا گھونٹا جائے زنجیروں میں قید ہوں طوق ان کے گلوں میں پڑے ہوئے۔ بیڑیوں میں وہ جکڑے ہوئے ہوں

Battered with the assault of calamities, confounded with overwhelming afflictions Cut off from their roots, suffering from their past actions Their pillaging now plundered, their triumph now defeated O (You) Who is Found during severity, ‘or Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him’ Allah has written: I will most certainly prevail, I and My messengers; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty. Surely the party of Allah is victorious.

بلاؤں کے ہتھوڑوں سے وہ کوٹے جائیں موت کی بجلیاں ان کے اوپر گریں نسلیں ان کی منقطع ہو جائیں باقی رہنے والے ان کے ہمیشہ روتے پیٹتے رہیں لوٹنے والے ان کے لٹ جائیں اور غالب ان کے مغلوب ہو جائیں اے تمام مصیبتوں کے وقت موجود رہنے والے وہ کون ہے جو مضطر کی دعا قبول کر لیتا ہے جس وقت بھی وہ دعا مانگے؟ اللہ لکھ چکا ہے کہ میں اور میرے رسول ضرور غالب آئیں گے یقینًا اللہ قوت والا زبردست ہے خبردار ہو کہ خدا والے یقینًا غالب رہیں گے۔

Verily my guardian is Allah Who sent down the Book, and He guards the righteous. Surely We will suffice you against the mockers. So We aided those who believed against their enemy, and they became the ones that prevailed. There is no god but God, he is One, He kept His promise, and He helped His slave And He fortified His army, and He alone destroyed the enemies. So to Him belongs the sovereignty, and to Him belongs the praise, Praise be to Allah the sustainer of the universe.

بیشک میرا حمایتی وہی اللہ ہے جس نے یہ کتاب نازل کی ہے اور وہی اپنے نیک بندوں سے دوستی رکھتا ہے ہم نے ان ہنسنے والوں کے شر سے تمہاری کفایت کی ہے پھر ہم نے ان لوگوں کو جو ایمان لائے تھے ان کے دشمنوں کے خلاف تائید کی تھی تو وہ لوگ غالب رہے تھے۔ سوائے خدائے یکتا کے کوئی معبود نہیں وہ اکیلا ہے جس نے اپنے وعدہ کو پورا کیا اور اپنے بندہ کو مدد پہنچائی اور اپنے گروہ کو قوت دی اور اس نے اکیلےدشمن کی ٹولیوں کو شکست دے دی اسی کے لئے سلطنت ہے اور اسی کے لئے ہرطرح کی تعریف زیبا ہے تمام عالموں کے مالک اللہ کے لیئے ہرطرح کی تعریف ثابت ہے۔

I entered the sanctuary of Allah that is not violated And into His covenant that is not violated And into the security of Allah that is never blocked And into the (state of being with the) honour of Allah that is never humiliated and never overcome And into His party that is never defeated And into his forces that are never conquered And into His sanctum that is not desecrated With Allah I began, and with Allah I sought success And became strengthened, and overcame, and was victorious And by the Might of Allah I was fortified against my enemies.

میں نے صبح کی ہے خدائے تعالٰی کے محفوظ احاطہ میں جس پر کوئی دست درازی نہیں کر سکتا اور (میں) خدائے تعالٰی کی ضمانت میں ہوں جو ٹوٹ نہیں سکتی اور میں خدائے تعالٰی کے پڑوس میں (ہوں) جس سے کوئی روک نہیں سکتا اور خدائے تعالٰی کی اس عزت میں ہوں جسے کوئی ذلت سے نہیں بدل سکتا اور نہ کوئی اس پر غالب آسکتا ہے اور میں اسی کے گروہ میں ہوں جسے شکست نہیں دی جا سکتی اور میں اسی لشکر میں ہوں جو مغلوب نہیں کیا جا سکتا اور میں اسی کے احاطہ میں ہوں جس پر کوئی قابو نہیں پا سکتا اللہ کے ذریعہ سے میں نے (اپنا کام) شروع کیا اور خداہی کے سہارے سے کامیابی حاصل کی، قوت پکڑی، پناہ لی اور غالب آیا اور اسی کے زورکی وجہ سے میں اپنے دشمنوں کے مقابلہ میں طاقتور رہا۔

By the majesty of Allah and His grandeur I rose above them and I defeated them (I defeated them) by the power of Allah and His strength. I grew stronger, remained alert, and sought help against them with Allah. And I entrusted my affairs to Allah. Allah is sufficient for me and the best Protector And you see them looking towards you, but they do not see. Deaf, dumb, (and) blind, so they will not return.

اور اسی کے جلال اور اسی کی بزرگی کی بدولت ان پر غالب آیا اور اللہ ہی کی قدرت سے اور اسی کی قوت سے میں نے ان کو دبا لیا میں قوی ثابت ہوا اور میں محفوظ رہا اور میں نے ان کے برخلاف اللہ ہی سے مدد مانگی میں نے اپنا سارا معاملہ اللہ ہی کے سپرد کر دیا اللہ ہی کافی ہے اور وہی سب سے اچھا کار ساز ہے اور تم دیکھوگے کہ وہ تمہیں آنکھیں کھولے دیکھ رہے ہیں حالانکہ انہیں کچھ دکھائی نہیں دیتا بہرے گونگے اندھےہیں اب وہ کفر سے پلٹنے کے نہیں ہیں۔

The Command of Allah has come, the Word of Allah has prevailed The proof of Allah has become clear against the immoral enemies of Allah And (against) all of the forces of Iblis (the devil) They will not harm you save a trifling hurt, and if they fight against you they will turn and flee. And afterward they will not be helped. And abasement and humiliation were brought down upon them Wherever they were found, they were seized and slain completely.

خدا کا حکم آگیا اللہ کا بول بالا رہا اللہ کی حجت اللہ کے نا فرمان دشمنوں پر ابلیس کے سب لشکروں پر کھل گئی سوائے ایذا پہنچانے کے وہ ہرگز تمہارا کچھ نہ بنا سکیں گے اور اگر تم سے لڑیں تو پیٹھ دکھائیں گے پھر ان کی مدد نہ کی جائیگی وہ اُن کے لئے ذلت اور افلاس کی بلا مقرر ہو گئی ہے جہاں کہیں وہ پائے جائیں گے پکڑے جائیں گے اور ایسے قتل کئے جائیں گے جیسا کہ قتل کیے جانے کا حق ہے۔

They will not fight against you together except in fortified towns or from behind walls Their fighting between themselves is severe, you may think them united, and their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people who have no understanding. I am fortified and safe from them in the most fortified of strongholds So they were not able to surmount it nor could they make a hole in it. I took recourse to a “strong support”. (11:80)

یہ اکٹھا ہو کر تم سے کبھی نہ لڑینگے سوائے اس کے کہ محفوظ بستیوں میں ہوں یا فصیلوں کے پیچھے ہوں اور ان کی لڑائی آپس ہی میں سخت ہوتی ہے تم ان کو متفق خیال کرتے ہو حالانکہ ان کے دل متفرق ہیں اس لئے کہ وہ ایسے لوگ ہیں جو عقل نہیں رکھتے ہیں ان سے بچنے کے لئے مضبوط سے مضبوط قلعہ میں جاگزیں ہو گیا ان سے یہ نہ ہو سکا کہ اس دیوار پر چڑھ آتے اور نہ یہ ہو سکا کہ اس میں نقب لگا دیتے اور میں زبردست پناہ میں جا بیٹھا۔

I took refuge to an impenetrable cavern And I held firm with the “strong cord” (Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt, 3:103/112) And I armored myself with the impenetrable armour of Allah And I shielded myself with the shield of Imam Ali, peace be upon him And I sought refuge with his (a.s) invocation, and I wore the ring of Solomon son of David (may peace be upon both of them).

اور میں نے محفوظ غار میں پناہ لی اور میں نے مضبوط رسی تھام لی اور میں نے خدائے تعالٰی کی مضبوط زرہ سے اپنے آپ کو آراستہ کر لیا اور میں نے جناب امیرالمومنینؑ کی ڈھال سے اپنے آپ کو محفوظ کر لیا اور ان حضرت کے سامان حفاظت کے ساتھ میں نے اپنے بچانے کا سامان کیا اور میں نے حضرت سلیمان ابن داؤد علیہما السلام کی انگوٹھی پہن لی۔

So wherever I go I am safe, tranquil; while my enemies are in constant fear and worried They were rubbed with humiliation, and they were clothed with disgrace and lowliness And they were restrained with shackles. And I placed upon myself an enclosed tent And I admitted myself unto revered holy grounds And I crowned myself with the crown of honour (dignity, respect, esteem) And I wielded the sword of glory that is never defeated And I am hidden from the (evil) eyes And I am concealed from the (peoples) suspicions.

اب میں جہاں کہیں بھی جاؤں امان و اطمنان سے ہوں اور میرا دشمن طرح طرح کی ہراس میں سرگرداں اور پریشان ہے چاروں طرف سے اہانت میں گھرا ہے ذلت و حقارت اس پر چھائی ہوئی ہے اور بیڑیوں میں جکڑا ہے اور میں نے اپنی ذات کے لئے حفاظت کے سراپردے اور ہیبت کی عمارتیں قائم کر لی ہیں اور کرامت کا تاج اپنے سر پر پہن لیا اور عزّت کی تلوار اپنے گردن میں ڈال لی ہے جو کبھی کند نہ ہوگی بد بینوں کی نظروں سے میں پوشیدہ ہو گیا ہوں اور بدگمانیوں سے علٰیحدہ ہوں۔

And I feel secure within my soul, and I have inner peace regardless of my enemies So they have surrendered to me, and they are afraid of me, and they are fleeing from me, as if they were frightened donkeys Fleeing from a lion Their hands fell short of attaining what they were expecting regarding me And their ears became deaf (to prevent them from) hearing talk that could harm me And their eyes are blinded (to prevent them from seeing) me And their tongues are muted (to prevent them from) mentioning me.

اپنی روح کے متعلق مطمئن ہوں اور اپنے دشمنوں سے محفوظ ہو گیا ہوں اب وہ میرے آگے گڑگڑاتے ہیں اور مجھ سے خوف زدہ ہیں اور مجھ سے اسطرح بھاگتے ہیں جیسے جنگلی گدھے شیر سے ڈر کر بھاگتے ہیں میرے بارے میں جو آرزوئیں رکھتے ہیں ان تک پہنچنے سے ان کے ہاتھ کوتاہ ہو گئے اور جن باتوں سے مجھے تکلیف پہنچا کرتی تھی وہ باتیں سننے سے ان کے کان بہرے ہو گئے اور میری طرف دیکھنے سے ان کی آنکھیں اندھی ہو گئیں اور میرا ذکر کرنے سے اُن کی زبانیں گونگی ہو گئیں۔

And their minds are blanked (to prevent them from) recognising me And their hearts are full of dread and beat fast (at the thought of) me And their bodies tremble severely in fear of me And their utmost ability defeated, and their power crushed And their resolution dissolved, and their gathering dispersed And their affairs disunited, and their opinions varied And their troops weakened, and their armies defeated So “they turned back in retreat” (Their) assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs (in retreat).

عقلیں ان کی میری شناخت سے عاجز اور دلوں پر ان کے میری دہشت چھا گئی اور میرے خوف سے ان کے بند کانپنے لگے ان کی تیزی گھٹ گئی اور شوکت ان کی ٹوٹ گئی ارادوں کا ان کے بل نکل گیا اور مجمع ان کا منتشر ہو گیا معاملات کے پراگندہ ہو گئے اور باتوں میں ان کی اختلاف پڑ گیا جتھا ان کا کمزور ہو گیا لشکران کا شکست کھا گیا اور پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ گئے عنقریب اس گروہ کو باطل ہزمیت ہو گی اور یہ پیٹھ دکھائیں گے۔

Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most disastrous and bitter. I rose above them with the exaltedness of Allah, through which Imam Ali, peace be upon him, used to rise (Who was) the owner of the battles, and the over-turner of flags, and the disperser of joint factions And I sought refuge from them with “The Beautiful Names” and His “Highest Words” And I prevailed over my enemies with a “Severe Power” and a “Ready Authority”.

بات یہ ہے کہ قیامت ان کے وعدہ کا دن ہے اور قیامت بڑی ہے سخت اور بڑی ہی تلخ ہے خدا کے غلبہ کے ذریعہ سے ان پر غالب آیا جس کے ذریعہ سے علیؑ جو بہت سی لڑائیاں لڑے اور (دشمنوں کے) علم سرنگوں کر نے والے اور ہم عصروں میں جدائی ڈالنے والے تھے غالب آیا کرتے تھے میں نے ان سے بچنے کے لئے خدا کے اسمائے حسنٰی اور اس کے بلند کلمات کی پناہ مانگی اور میں نے اپنے دشمن پر بڑے زور و شور سے اور بڑے ساز و سامانکے ساتھ غالب آیا۔

And I reduced them to submission, and I crushed their best, and I lowered their necks And their necks (remain) lowered in submission to me The one who intended against me certainly failed, and the one who opposed me destroyed So I am supported, joyful, triumphant, victorious Verily Godly expression clung to me And I gripped the “firmest handle” (Ahlul Bayt, 2:256) And I held firm with the “strong cord” (Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt, 3:103/112).

اور میں نے ان کو ذلیل کیا اور ان کے سر توڑے اور ان کی گردنوں پر پاؤں رکھے اور ان کی گردنیں میرے سامنے ذلیل ہو کر جھک گئیں جس نے میرا مقابلہ کیا وہ یقینًا ناکام رہا اور جس نے مجھ سے دشمنی کی وہ ہلاک ہوا پس میں خدا کی مدد سے خوش اور مظفر و منصور ہوں کلمہ تقوی کا میرے ساتھ ہے اور خدا کی مضبوط رسی میرے ہاتھوں میں ہے اور اسی کی زبردست ڈوری کا مجھے سہارا ہے۔

So never will I be affected by the tyranny of the unjust, nor the deception of the cunning Nor the jealousy of the jealous, ever again For eternity and beyond So never will any (enemy) see me, nor will any (enemy) find me, nor will anyone control my destiny Say: Verily I call upon my Lord, and I do not ascribe unto Him any partner. O Bestower of bounties, grant your favours upon me with tranquility in my soul And security against my enemies And immediately place between me and them with “harsh and severe” angels (66:6).

اب ہمیشہ ہمیشہ کے لئے نہ بغاوت کرنے والوں کی بغاوت مجھے نقصان دے گی اور نہ فریبیوں کا فریب اور نہ حاسدوں کا حسد نہ کوئی کبھی مجھ کو دیکھے گا اور نہ کبھی کوئی مجھے پائے گا اور نہ کبھی کوئی مجھ پر کسی طرح کا قابو حاصل کر سکے گا تم یہ کہہ دو کہ میں اپنے پروردگار کو پکارتا ہوں کسی کو اسکا شریک نہیں ٹھراتا اے فضل فرمانے والے مجھ پر اس طرح فضل فرما کہ میری روح کو امن و امان دے دے اور مجھے میرے دشمنوں سے محفوظ رکھ اور میرے اور ان کے مابین غیظ و غضب والے فرشتوں کو حائل کردے۔

And aid me with plentiful armies, and obedient souls So they pave (my) way (against my enemies) with “conclusive arguments” (6:149) And they throw at them with skull-crushing stones And they smite them with sharp swords And they pelt them with “penetrating meteors” (37:10) And blazing fire, and scorching flames And they are thrown at from every side; repelled away. And for them is a continuous punishment. Except him who stole something.

اور کثیر التعداد افواج سے اور اطاعت کرنے والی روحوں کے ذریعہ سے میری تائید فرما کہ وہ غالب آنے والے دلائل کی ان پر بوچھار کر دیں اور سر توڑنے والے پتھر ان پر برسا دیں اور کاٹنے والی تلواریں ان پر لگائیں اور ٹوٹنے والے ستارے اور شعلہ اٹھتی ہوئی آگ اور جھلسانے والے شعلے ان پر پھینکیں۔ اور ہر طرف سے ان پر ذلت کی مار پڑے اور ان کے لئے عذاب کی بارش ہو سوائے اس کے کہ جسے موت اڑاے جائے

Indeed I expelled them, and I chastised them And I outlasted them, and I vanquished them With the power of the “Bismillah” And “Taa Haa,” and “Yaa Seen,” and “the Winds,” and the chapters of “Taa Seen,” and the chapters of “Tanzeel,” and the chapters of “Haa Meem.” And (by) Kaaf Haa Yaa ‘Ayn Saad. And (by) Haa Meem ‘Ayn Seen Qaaf. And by “Qaaf. By the glorious Qur’an.” And by “Nuun. By the Pen and what they (angels) inscribe.” And “By the setting of the stars.” And “By the Mountain, and the inscribed Book, in a scroll spread open. And (by) the Frequented House.”

میں نے بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم کے ذریعہ سے طٰہٰ اور یٰسین کے زریعہ سے و الذاریات اور طواسین کے ذریعہ سے تنزیل اور الحوا میم کے ذریعہ سے اور کھٰیٰعص و حٰم عسق کے ذریعہ سے اور قۗ و القرآن المجید کے ذریعہ سے اور نۗ والقلم و ما یسطرون کے ذریعہ سے اور مواقع النجوم اور والطور کے ذریعہ سے اور فی رق منشور کے ذریعہ سے اور بیت المعمور کے ذریعہ سے۔

And (by) the heaven raised high, and the swollen sea. Surely the punishment of your Lord will occur. There is none that can avert it. So “they turned back in retreat.” And they withdrew on their feet. “So they became motionless bodies in their homes.” So the truth was established, and what they were doing became void. Thus they were vanquished there, and they went back abased. And the magicians were cast down in prostration. So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted And they were engulfed with what they used to mock And the people of Pharaoh were enveloped with the most evil punishment.

اور سقف المرفوع کے ذریعہ سے اور البحر المسجور کے ذریعہ سے اور ان عذاب ربک لواقع مالہٗ من دافع کے ذریعہ سے انہیں دے مارا اور دے ٹپکا ذلیل کیا اور مغلوب کیا پس وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگے اور پچھلے پیروں واپس ہوئے اور اپنے اپنے گھروں میں ڈھیر ہو کر رہ گئے۔ پس اسطرح حق تو ثابت ہوگیا اور جو عمل وہ کر رہے تھے سب باطل ہوگیا پس جادوگر وہیں کے وہیں مغلوب اور ذلیل ہو کر رہ گئے اور سب کے سب سجدے میں گرپڑے چنانچہ جو جو چالیں وہ چلے اللہ نے ان کی خرابیوں سے اسے بچائے رکھا اور جس چیز کی وہ ہنسی اڑایا کرتے تھے اسی نے ان کو آگھیرا اور بُرے سے بُرے عذاب سے فرعون کے سارے کنبے کو گھیر لیا

And they planned and Allah planned, and Allah is the best of planners. Those to whom the people said: Surely men have gathered against you, therefore fear them, but this increased their faith And they said: Allah is sufficient for us, and most excellent is the Protector. So they returned with favour from Allah and bounty, no evil touched them, and they followed the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is the owner of great bounty.

اور وہ ایک چال چلے اور اللہ بدلہ دینے کے لئے ایک چال چلا اور اللہ سب سے بہتر بدلہ دینے والا ہے۔ ایسے بھی لوگ ہیں جن سے آدمیوں نے کہا کہ لوگوں نے تمہارے لئے بڑا ایکا کیا ہے لہٰذا ان سے ڈرو تو اس خبر نے ان کا ایمان اور بڑھا دیا اور انہوں نے یہ کہہ دیا کہ اللہ ہمارے لئے کافی ہے اور وہ سب سے بہتر کارساز ہے پس خدا کی نعمت اور فضل ان کے شامل حال ہوگئی اور ان کو کوئی تکلیف نہ پہنچی اور وہ خوشنودی خدا کے پیرو رہے اور اللہ بڑا فضل کرنے والا ہے۔

O Allah! Indeed I seek refuge with you from their evil And I repel by You in (the face of) their onslaught And I ask You for the good that is with You O Allah So Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. Gabriel is on my right side, and Michael is on my left side And Muhammad, Allah bless him and his family, is in front of me And Imam Ali, peace be upon him, is behind me And Allah, the Most High, remains continually over me.

یا اللہ میں ان کی شرارتوں سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور ان سے بچانے کے لئے تجھ ہی کو کافی سمجھتا ہوں اور اللہ جو خیر و عافیت تیرے پاس ہے میں اسی کا تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں ہاں عنقریب ان سے تمہیں بچانے کے لئے اللہ ہی کافی ہوگا اور وہ بڑا سننے والا اور جاننے والا ہے جبرئیل میری دائیں طرف اور میکائیل میری بائیں طرف اور جناب محمد مصطفٰیؐ میرے آگے اور جناب امیر المومنین علیؑ میری پشت پناہی میں اور اللہ تعالٰی میرے اوپر سایہ کئے ہوئے ہے۔

O The One Who made between the two seas a barrier (27:61) Place a veil between me and my enemies so they never reach me ever, with any evil towards me And between me and them the protection of Allah, surely the protection of Allah is well defended Allah is sufficient for me Who suffices me and no one else can suffice me And when you recite the Quran, We place between you and those who do not believe in the hereafter a hidden barrier.

اے وہ جس نے دو سمندروں کے مابین آڑ قائم کردی تو میرے اور میرے دشمنوں کے مابین ایک آڑ قائم کر دے تا کہ وہ کوئی چیز تک نہ پہنچا سکیں جو مجھے تکلیف دے اور میرے اور ان کے درمیان اللہ کا پردہ ہے اور اللہ کا پردہ یقینًا محفوظ ہے اور اللہ میرے لئے کافی ہے جو ہر ایسی چیز کے لئے کفایت کرتا ہے جس کے لئے اس کے سواکوئی بھی نہ کفایت کر سکے اور جس وقت تم قرآن مجید پڑھتے ہو ہم تمہارے مابین اور ان لوگوں کے مابین جو آخرت پر ایمان نہیں رکھتے ایک خفیہ پردہ قائم کر دیتے ہیں

And We have placed on their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears heaviness. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran they turn their backs in aversion. Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and they reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. And We have made before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, then We have covered them over so that they do not see.

اور ہم ان کے دلوں پر غلاف چڑھا دیتے ہیں کہ وہ اس کو نہ سمجھیں اور ہم ان کے کانوں میں گرانی پیدا کر دیتے ہیں۔ اور جس وقت تم قرآن مجید میں اپنے پروردگار کو یکتائی کے ساتھ یاد کرتے ہو تو نفرت کھا کر پچھلے پاؤں پلٹ جاتے ہیں بےشک ہم نے ان کی گردنوں میں طوق ڈال دیا اور ٹھڈیوں میں اسی سے ان کے سر اٹھے کے اٹھے رہ گئے اور ہم نے ان کے آگے سے بھی ایک دیوار بنا دی ہے اور ان کے پیچھے سے بھی ایک دیوار قائم کردی اور ان کو ڈھانپ دیا ہے کہ اب وہ کچھ نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔

O Allah draw upon me your protective covering that cannot be removed by the winds (ie. flowing energy) Nor can be pierced by spears And save my spirit with Your Holy Spirit The One that when You cast it upon a person, he is seen with awe in the eyes of the onlookers And is (perceived) grandly in the hearts of all of the created beings.

یا اللہ تو میرے چاروں طرف اپنی حفاظت کے سراپردے کھڑے کر دے جن کو ہوا نہ اڑا سکے اور نہ نیزے پھاڑ سکیں اور میری روح کو اپنی روح قدس کے ذریعہ سے بچاے جسے جس شخص پر بھی تو ڈال دیتا ہے وہی لوگوں کی نظروں میں بزرگ ہو جاتا ہے اور آدمیوں کے دلوں میں اس کی بڑائی بیٹھ جاتی ہے

And grant me success through Your Beautiful Names and Your Highest Examples And make my well-being lie in all that I hope for, of the good of this world and the hereafter And send away from me the (evil) eyes of the onlookers And change their hearts from the evil that they harbor into good, which none other (than You) has the power to do.

اور مجھے اپنے اچھے اچھے ناموں اور اپنی اعلیٰ مثالوں کے ذریعے توفیق عطا فرما اور دنیا و آخرت کی جس چیز و خوبی کی میں امید رکھتا ہوں اس سب کے حصول کی صلاحیت عطا فرما اور لوگوں کی نظریں میری طرف سے پھرا دے اور اُن کے دلوں کو اس بدی کی طرف سے جو وہ مجھے پہنچا نا مدنظر رکھتے ہوں ہٹا کر اس نیکی کی طرف مائل کر دے جس کا اختیار اور کوئی رکھتا ہی نہیں۔

O Allah You are my recourse, so to You I flee And You are my refuge, so with You I seek protection O (He) Who the necks of the arrogant are lowered to And the necks of the Pharaohs bent low to Him Save me from Your disgracing punishments, and from leaving Your protection And from forgetting Your remembrance And from being ungrateful to You I am in Your protection during my nights, and my days And in my home, and on my journeys Your remembrance is my emblem, and praising You is my garment.

یا اللہ تو میری جائے پناہ ہے تو میں تیری ہی طرف پناہ لیتا ہوں اور تو میرا ٹھکانا ہے تو میں تیری ہی طرف پناہ مانگتا ہوں اے وہ جس کے سامنے گردن کشوں کی گردنیں جھک گئیں اور جس کے حضور میں بڑے بڑے فرعونوں کے سر خم ہو گئے تو مجھے رسوا کرنے سے اور میرے راز کھلنے اور مجھے اپنی یاد بھلا دینے سے اور اپنے شکریہ سے روگردانی کرنے سے محفوظ رکھ اپنی رات میں اپنے دن میں اور اپنے وطن میں اور اپنے سفر میں تیری ہی پناہ میں ہوں۔ تیرا ذکر میرا لباس اور تیری تعریف میری چادر ہے

O Allah surely my fear by day and night seeks protection with Your security, so save me from Your disgracing punishments And from the evil of Your servants And draw upon me your protective covering And enter me into the protection of Your custody And save my soul with good from You And spare me from going to wicked men for help And I seek refuge with You from evil companions, and evil times And gloating enemies, and (continuous) exhausting calamities.

یا اللہ میرا خوف صبح و شام تیرے امن و امان کی پناہ مانگتا ہے پس تو مجھے رسوا ہو نے سے اور اپنے بندوں کے شر سے بچائے رکھ اور میرے چاروں طرف اپنی حفاظت کی قناتیں کھڑی کر دے اور مجھے اپنی حفاظت کے احاطہ میں داخل کرے اور میری روح کو اپنی طرف کی خیر و خوبی کے ساتھ محفوظ فرما اور بُرے آدمی کی امداد سے مجھے مستغنی کر اور بد ہم نشینوں سے اور بُری ساعت سے اور دشمنوں کی شماتت سے اور بلاؤں کی آفت سے تیری ہی پناہ مانگتا ہوں

And I seek refuge with You from the lashings of the night and the day Except those incidents that contain good By Your mercy, O the Most Merciful And may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure family. Allah is sufficient for us, and most excellent is the Protector (3:173); the most excellent Guardian and the most excellent Support.

اور میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں رات اور دن کے اچانک آنے والوں (کے شر) سے، سوائے اس آنے والے کے جو خیر لے کر آئے، تیری رحمت کے واسطے، اے سب رحم کرنے والوں سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے اور خدا اپنی رحمت نازل فرما محمد مصطفٰیؐ اور ان کی آل پاکؑ پر ہمارے لئے اللہ کافی ہے اور وہی سب سے بہتر کار ساز ہے وہی سب سے اچھا آقا وہی سب سے اچھا مددگار ہے رحمٰن و رحیم۔

I begin in the name of Allah, the Kind, the Merciful I swear by the morning brightness, and the night when it covers with darkness. Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, and surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be pleased. Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? And found you wandering and directed (you)? And found you in need and made you to be free from need? Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). And as for him who asks, do not repulse (him), And as for the blessings of your Lord, do proclaim (it).

خدا کے نام سے شروع کرتا ہوں قسم ہے دھوپ چڑھتے وقت کی اور قسم ہے رات کی جب کہ وہ چھا جائے اے رسولؐ تمہارا پروردگار نہ تم سے دست بردار ہؤا اور نہ ناراض اور تمہارے واسطے آخرت دنیا سے کہیں بہتر ہے اور آگے چل کر تمہارا پروردگار تم کو اس قدر عطا فرمائیگا کہ تم خوش ہوجاؤگے کیا اس نے تم کو یتیم نہیں پایا اور جگہ دی اور تم کو بھٹکا ہوا پایا تو منزل مقصود تک پہنچا دیا اور تم کو محتاج پایا تو مالدار کر دیا پس تم اب یتیم پر ظلم نہ کرنا اور سوال کرنے والے کو نہ جھڑکنا اور اپنے پروردگار کی نعمت کا ذکر کرتے رہنا۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
