دُعاءے سیفی صغیر
The reciter asks to be taken into the depth of Allah's Oneness and strengthened by the authority of His Uniqueness, so that the light of nearness to Him shows in their face. They ask to be clothed in dignity and tolerance, given ease in the ways that lead to Him, adorned with decorum and solemnity, granted affection with those Allah loves in this world and the next, and given honour and standing from the light of His Name. Allah is addressed as the One to Whom tyrants surrender and before Whom kings submit, and the reciter says there is no shelter or refuge from Him except with Him.
Lines marked auto had their transliteration produced from the vowelled Arabic rather than typed by hand, and the Centre’s alim has not read them yet. The Arabic is the text: where the two differ, follow the Arabic.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
رَبِّ اَدْخِلْنِيْ فِيْ لُجَّةِ بَحْرِ اَحَدِيَّتِكَ وَطَمْطَامِ يَمِّ وَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ وَقَوِّنِيْ بِقُوَّةِ سَطْوَةِ سُلْطَانِ فَرْدَانِيَّتِكَ حَتّٰى اَخْرُجَ اِلٰى فَضَاءِ سَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَفِيْ وَجْهِيْ لَمَعَاتُ بَرْقِ الْقُرْبِ مِنْ آثَارِ حِمَايَتِكَ مَهِيْبًا بِهَيْبَتِكَ عَزِيْزًا بِعِنَايَتِكَ مُتَجَلِّلًا مُكَرَّمًا بِتَعْلِيْمِكَ وَتَزْكِيَتِكَ وَاَلْبِسْنِيْ خِلَعَ الْعِزَّةِ وَالْقَبُوْلِ۔
Rabbi adkhilnee fee lujjati bahri ahadiyyatika watamtaami yammi wahdaaniyyatika waqawwinee biquwwati satwati sultaani fardaaniyyatika hattaa akhruja ilaa fadaa'i sa'ati rahmatika wafee wajhee lama'aatu barqi al-qurbi min aathaari himaayatika maheeban bihaybatika 'azeezan bi'inaayatika mutajallilan mukarraman bita'leemika watazkiyatika wal-bisnee khila'a al-'izzati wal-qabooli. auto
O my Lord, include me with the profundity of the ocean of Your Oneness and in the enormity of the sea of Your singleness. Strengthen me with the strength of the influence of the authority of Your Uniqueness so that when I come out to the space of the breadth of Your mercy, my face will have the twinkles of the shining of the nearness to the traces of Your protection, being venerable out of Your venerability, mighty out of Your care (for me), esteemed, and honored out of Your instruction and purity.
خدایا!مجھے اپنی یگانگی کے سمندر میں داخل فرما اور اپنی یکتائی کی موجوں میں وارد کردے اورمجھے اپنی سلطنتِ وحدانیت کے دبدبہ سے قوت عطا کر یہاں تک کہ میں تیری رحمت کی وسیع فضا میں جاپہنچوں اور میرے چہرے پر تیری قربت کی روشنی کی کرنیں تیری حمایت کی نشانیاں بن جائیں تیرے رعب سے مجھے رعب ملے تیری مہربانی سے معزز ہوجاؤں تیری تعلیم وتربیت سے مجھے جلالت و کرامت حاصل ہو۔
وَسَهِّلْ لِيْ مَنَاهِجَ الْوُصْلَةِ وَالْوُصُوْلِ وَتَوِّجْنِيْ بِتَاجِ الْكَرَامَةِ وَالْوَقَارِ وَاَلِّفْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَحِبَّائِكَ فِيْ دَارِ الدُّنْيَا وَدَارِ الْقَرَارِ وَارْزُقْنِيْ مِنْ نُوْرِ اسْمِكَ هَيْبَةً وَسَطْوَةً تَنْقَادُ لِيَ الْقُلُوْبُ وَالْاَرْوَاحُ وَتَخْضَعُ لَدَيَّ النُّفُوْسُ وَالْاَشْبَاحُ۔
Wasahhil lee manaahija al-wuslati wal-wusooli watawwijnee bitaaji al-karaamati wal-waqaari waallif baynee wabayna ahibbaa'ika fee daari ad-dunyaa wadaari al-qaraari warzuqnee min noori asmika haybatan wasatwatan tanqaadu liya al-quloobu wal-arwaahu watakhda'u ladayya an-nufoosu wal-ashbaahu. auto
Dress me with the garments of dignity and tolerability, make easy for me to attain the courses of communication and attainment (to You), adorn me with the crown of decorum and solemnity, and put affection between your beloved ones and me in this worldly abode as well as the Abode of Enduring Settlement. Out of the illumination of Your Name, confer upon me with honor and authority due to which all hearts and souls will submit to me, and all selves and ghosts will succumb to me.
مجھے عزّت وقبولیت کا لباس پہنا دے اور میرے لئے اپنےوصال وقربت کی راہیں آسان فرما دےمیرے سر پر شان و شوکت کا تاج سجادے اور اس دنیا اور دوسری دنیا میں اپنے پیاروں اورمیرے درمیان الفت قائم کر دے اپنے نام کے نور سے مجھے ایسارعب ودبدبہ عطا فرما کہ لوگوں کے دل اور جانیں میری اطاعت گزار ہوں اور ان کے جسم اور نفوس میرے آگے جھکے رہیں۔
يَا مَنْ ذَلَّتْ لَهٗ رِقَابُ الْجَبَابِرَةِ وَخَضَعَتْ لَدَيْهِ اَعْنَاقُ الْاَكَاسِرَةِ لَا مَلْجَاَ وَلَا مَنْجٰى مِنْكَ اِلَّا اِلَيْكَ وَلَا اِعَانَةَ اِلَّا بِكَ وَلَا اتِّكَاءَ اِلَّا عَلَيْكَ ادْفَعْ عَنِّيْ كَيْدَ الْحَاسِدِيْنَ، وَظُلُمَاتِ شَرِّ الْمُعَانِدِيْنَ وَارْحَمْنِيْ تَحْتَ سُرَادِقَاتِ عَرْشِكَ يَا اَكْرَمَ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ اَيِّدْ ظَاهِرِيْ فِيْ تَحْصِيْلِ مَرَاضِيْكَ وَنَوِّرْ قَلْبِيْ وَسِرِّيْ بِالْاِطِّلَاعِ عَلٰى مَنَاهِجِ مَسَاعِيْكَ۔
Yaa man zallat lahoo riqaabu al-jabaabirati wakhada'at ladayhi a'naaqu al-akaasirati laa maljaa walaa manjaa minka illaa ilayka walaa i'aanata illaa bika walaa attikaa'a illaa 'alayka adfa' 'annee kayda al-haasideena, wazulumaati sharri al-mu'aanideena warhamnee tahta suraadiqaati 'arshika yaa akrama al-akrameena ayyid zaahiree fee tahseeli maraadeeka wanawwir qalbee wasirree bil-ittilaa'i 'alaa manaahiji masaa'eeka. auto
O He to Whom all the tyrants surrender, and before Whom all the kings submit! There in neither shelter nor refuge (to protect) against You save to You, there is no help save through You, and there is no reliance save upon You. Repel against me the trickeries of the envious ones and the murk of the evils of the stubborn ones. Have mercy upon me under the pavilion of Your Throne; O most Generous of all those who show generosity! Aid my appearance to attain Your pleasure and illuminate my heart and inner self by making me acquainted with the courses to acting for Your sake.
اے وہ جس کے سامنے ظالم لوگ پست ہیں اور جس کے حضور بادشاہوں کی گردنیں جھکی ہوئی ہیں پناہ اور نجات نہیں مگر تیری ہی بارگاہ میں اور نہیں کوئی امداد مگر تیری طر ف سے، کوئی تکیہ گاہ نہیں مگر تو ہی ہے،مجھ سے حاسدوں کے فریب اور دشمنوں کے شر کے اندھیرے دور فرما اور پردہ ہائے عرش کے سائے میں جگہ دےمجھ پر رحمت فرما اے سب سے زیادہ بزرگی والے۔
اِلٰهِيْ كَيْفَ اَصْدُرُ عَنْ بَابِكَ بِخَيْبَةٍ مِنْكَ وَقَدْ وَرَدْتُهٗ عَلٰى ثِقَةٍ بِكَ وَكَيْفَ تُؤْيِسُنِيْ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ وَقَدْ اَمَرْتَنِيْ بِدُعَائِكَ وَهَا اَنَا مُقْبِلٌ عَلَيْكَ مُلْتَجِءٌ اِلَيْكَ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَ اَعْدَائِيْ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ اَعْدَائِي اخْتَطِفْ اَبْصَارَهُمْ عَنِّيْ بِنُوْرِ قُدْسِكَ وَجَلَالِ مَجْدِكَ۔
Allaahee kayfa asduru 'an baabika bikhaybatin minka waqad waradtuhoo 'alaa thiqatin bika wakayfa tu'yisunee min 'ataa'ika waqad amartanee bidu'aa'ika wahaa anaa muqbilun 'alayka multaji'un ilayka baa'id baynee wabayna a'daa'ee kamaa baa'adta bayna a'daa'ee akhtatif absaarahum 'annee binoori qudsika wajalaali majdika. auto
O my God, how does it come that I leave Your Door with disappointment after I had come to it with full faith in You? How is it possible that You drive me to despair of Your endowment after You have instructed me to pray to You? Here I am coming to You seeking shelter with You. Keep me far away from my enemies just as You have kept my enemies far away from one another. Take their sights away from me through the Light of Your Holiness and the Grandeur of Your Glory.
میری کمر مضبوط فرما کہ میں تیری پسندیدہ چیزیں حاصل کروں میرے قلب وروح کو روشن کر دے تاکہ میں تیرے لئے کوشش کرنے کی راہیں دیکھوں میرے معبود! میں کس طرح تیرے دروازے سے مایوس ہو کر پلٹ جاؤں جب کہ تجھ پر بھروسہ کر کے یہاں حاضر ہوا ہوں اور تواپنی اطاعت سے مجھے کیسے مایوس کرے گا جب کہ تیرا حکم ہے کہ تجھے پکارا کروں اور اب میں تیرے حضور آن پڑا ہوں۔
اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ الْمُعْطِيْ جَلَائِلَ النِّعَمِ الْمُكَرَّمَةِ لِمَنْ نَاجَاكَ بِلَطَائِفِ رَحْمَتِكَ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا وَنَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ اَجْمَعِيْنَ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔
Innaka anta allaahu al-mu'tee jalaa'ila an-ni'ami al-mukarramati liman naajaaka bilataa'ifi rahmatika yaa hayyu yaa qayyoomu yaa zaa al-jalaali wal-ikraami wasallaa allaahu 'alaa sayyidinaa wanabiyyinaa muhammadin waaalihee ajma'eena at-tayyibeena at-taahireena. auto
You are verily Allah Who confers with the splendid honoring graces upon those who secretly pray to You out of Your tremendous mercy. O Ever-living, O Self-subsisting, O Lord of Glory and Honor! May Allah send blessings to our master and Prophet, Muhammad, and upon all of his Household, the purified and immaculate.
تجھ سے عرض کرتا ہوں کہ میرے اور میرے دشمنوں میں دوری کردے جیسے تو نے میرے دشمنوں میں دوری ڈالی میری طرف سے ان کی آنکھوں کو چندھیا دے اپنے پاکیزہ نور اور اپنی جلالتِ شان سے بے شک تو ہی وہ اﷲہے جواپنے لطف وکرم سے اپنی عظیم نعمتیں اسے عطا فرماتا ہے جو چپکے چپکے تجھ سےسوال کرتا ہے اے زندہ نگہبان اے جلالت و بزرگی کے مالک اور اے اﷲ!ہمارےسردار اور ہمارے نبی محمدؐ اور ان کی ساری طاہر و اطہر آل پر رحمت فرما۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
