Surah Hajj (22, 78 ayat)سورۂ حج

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O people! guard against (the punishment from) your Lord; surely the violence of the hour is a grievous thing.

لوگو! اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرو کہ قیامت کا زلزلہ بہت بڑی شے ہے۔

On the day when you shall see it, every woman giving suck shall quit in confusion what she suckled, and every pregnant woman shall lay down her burden, and you shall see men intoxicated, and they shall not be intoxicated but the chastisement of Allah will be severe.

جس دن تم دیکھو گے کہ دودھ پلانے والی عورتیں اپنے دودھ پیتے بچوّں سے غافل ہو جائیں گی اور حاملہ عورتیں اپنے حمل کو گرا دیں گی اور لوگ نشہ کی حالت میں نظر آئیں گے حالانکہ وہ بدمست نہیں ہوں گے بلکہ اللہ کا عذاب ہی بڑا سخت ہو گا۔

And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious Shaitan;

اور لوگوں میں کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جو بغیر جانے بوجھے خدا کے بارے میں جھگڑا کرتے ہیں اور ہر سرکش شیطان کا اتباع کر لیتے ہیں۔

Against him it is written down that whoever takes him for a friend, he shall lead him astray and conduct him to the chastisement of the burning fire.

ان کے بارے میں یہ لکھ دیا گیا ہے کہ جو شیطان کو اپنا دوست بنائے گا شیطان اسے گمراہ کر دے گا اور پھر جہنّم کے عذاب کی طرف رہنمائی کر دے گا۔

O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage.

اے لوگو اگر تمہیں دوبارہ اٹھائے جانے میں شبہ ہے تو یہ سمجھ لو کہ ہم نے ہی تمہیں پہلے خاک سے بنایا ہے پھر نطفہ سے پھر جمے ہوئے خون سے پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جس میں سے کوئی مکمل ہو جاتا ہے اور کوئی ناقص ہی رہ جاتا ہے تاکہ ہم تمہارے اوپر اپنی قدرت کو واضح کر دیں ہم جس چیز کو جب تک چاہتے ہیں رحم میں رکھتے ہیں اس کے بعد تم کو بچہ بنا کر باہر لے آتے ہیں پھر زندہ رکھتے ہیں تاکہ جوانی کی عمر تک پہنچ جاؤ اور پھر تم میں سے بعض کو اٹھا لیا جاتا ہے اور بعض کو پست ترین عمر تک باقی رکھا جاتا ہے تاکہ علم کے بعد پھر کچھ جاننے کے قابل نہ رہ جائے اور تم زمین کو مردہ دیکھتے ہو پھر جب ہم پانی برسا دیتے ہیں تو وہ لہلہانے لگتی ہے اور ابھرنے لگتی ہے اور ہر طرح کی خوبصورت چیز اگانے لگتی ہے۔

This is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He has power over all things

یہ اس لئے ہے کہ وہ اللہ خدائے برحق ہے اور وہی مردوں کو زندہ کرتا ہے اور وہی ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

And because the hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and because Allah shall raise up those who are in the graves.

اور قیامت یقینًا آنے والی ہے اس میں کسی شک کی گنجائش نہیں ہے اور اللہ قبروں سے مردوں کو اٹھانے والا ہے۔

And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and without guidance and without an illuminating book

اور لوگوں میں ایسے بھی ہیں جو علم و ہدایت اور کتابِ منیر کے بغیر بھی خدا کے بارے میں بحث کرتے ہیں۔

Turning away haughtily that he may lead (others) astray from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of burning:

وہ غرور سے منہ پھرائے ہوئے ہیں تاکہ دوسرے لوگوں کو بھی راہِ خدا سے گمراہ کر سکیں تو ایسے اشخاص کے لئے دنیا میں رسوائی ہے اور آخرت میں ہم انہیں جہنّم کا مزہ چکھائیں گے۔

This is due to what your two hands have sent before, and because Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants.

یہ اس بات کی سزا ہے جو تم پہلے کر چکے ہو اور خدا اپنے بندوں پر ہرگز ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے۔

And among men is he who serves Allah (standing) on the verge, so that if good befalls him he is satisfied therewith, but if a trial afflict him he turns back headlong; he loses this world as well as the hereafter; that is a manifest loss.

اور لوگوں میں کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جو خدا کی عبادت ایک ہی رخ پراور مشروط طریقہ سے کرتے ہیں کہ اگر ان تک خیر پہنچ گیا تو مطمئن ہو جاتے ہیں اور اگر کوئی مصیبت چھو گئی تو دین سے پلٹ جاتے ہیں یہ دنیا اور آخرت دونوں میں خسارہ میں ہیں اور یہی خسارہ کھلا ہوا خسارہ ہے۔

He calls besides Allah upon that which does not harm him and that which does not profit him, that is the great straying.

یہ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر انہیں پکارتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور نہ فائدہ اور یہی دراصل بہت دور تک پھیلی ہوئی گمراہی ہے۔

He calls upon him whose harm is nearer than his profit; evil certainly is the guardian and evil certainly is the associate.

یہ ان کو پکارتے ہیں جن کا نقصان ان کے فائدے سے زیادہ قریب تر ہے وہ ان کے بدترین سرپرست اور بدترین ساتھی ہیں۔

Surely Allah will cause those who believe and do good deeds to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, surely Allah does what He pleases.

بےشک اللہ ایمان والوں اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو ان جنّتوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی کہ اللہ جو چاہتا ہے انجام دیتا ہے۔

Whoever thinks that Allah will not assist him in this life and the hereafter, let him stretch a rope to the ceiling, then let him cut (it) off, then let him see if his struggle will take away that at which he is enraged.

جس شخص کا خیال یہ ہے کہ اللہ دنیا اور آخرت میں اس کی مدد نہیں کرے گا اسے چاہئے کہ ایک رسی کے ذریعہ آسمان کی طرف بڑھے اور پھر اس رسی کو کاٹ دے اور پھر دیکھے کہ اس کی ترکیب اس چیز کو دور کر سکتی ہے یا نہیں جس کے غصّہ میں وہ مبتلا تھا۔

And thus have We revealed it, being clear arguments, and because Allah guides whom He intends.

اور اسی طرح ہم نے اس قرآن کو واضح نشانیوں کی شکل میں نازل کیا ہے اور اللہ جس کو چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے۔

Surely those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associate (others with Allah)- surely Allah will decide between them on the day of resurrection; surely Allah is a witness over all things.

بےشک جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے یہودیت اختیار کی یا ستارہ پرست ہو گئے یا نصرانی اور آتش پرست ہو گئے یا مشرک ہو گئے ہیں خدا قیامت کے دن ان سب کے درمیان یقینی فیصلہ کر دے گا کہ اللہ ہر شے کا نگراں اور گواہ ہے۔

Do you not see that Allah is He, Whom obeys whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains and the trees, and the animals and many of the people; and many there are against whom chastisement has become necessary; and whomsoever Allah abases, there is none who can make him honorable; surely Allah does what He pleases.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ زمین و آسمان میں جس قدر بھی صاحبانِ عقل و شعور ہیں اور آفتاب و ماہتاب اور ستارے، پہاڑ، درخت، چوپائے اور انسانوں کی ایک کثرت سب ہی اللہ کے لئے سجدہ گزار ہیں اور ان میں سے بہت سے ایسے بھی ہیں جن پر عذاب ثابت ہو چکا ہے اور ظاہر ہے کہ جسے خدا ذلیل کرنا چاہے اسے کوئی عزّت دینے والا نہیں ہے کہ یقینًا اللہ جو چاہتا ہے وہ کر سکتا ہے۔

These are two adversaries who dispute about their Lord; then (as to) those who disbelieve, for them are cut out garments of fire, boiling water shall be poured over their heads.

یہ مومن و کافر دو باہمی دشمن ہیں جنہوں نے پروردگار کے بارے میں آپس میں اختلاف کیا ہے پھر جو لوگ کافر ہیں ان کے واسطے آگ کے کپڑے قطع کئے جائیں گے اور ان کے سروں پر گرما گرم پانی انڈیلا جائے گا۔

With it shall be melted what is in their bellies and (their) skins as well.

جس سے ان کے پیٹ کے اندر جو کچھ ہے اور ان کی جلدیں سب گل جائیں گی۔

And for them are whips of iron.

اور ان کے لئے لوہے کے گرز مہیاّ کئے گئے ہیں۔

Whenever they will desire to go forth from it, from grief, they shall be turned back into it, and taste the chastisement of burning.

جب یہ جہنّم کی تکلیف سے نکل بھاگنا چاہیں گے تو دوبارہ اسی میں پلٹا دیئے جائیں گے کہ ابھی اور جہنّم کا مزہ چکھو۔

Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good deeds enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and (with) pearls, and their garments therein shall be of silk.

بےشک اللہ صاحبانِ ایمان اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کرتا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوتی ہیں انہیں ان جنتوں میں سونے کے کنگن اور موتی پہنائے جائیں گے اور ان کا لباس اس جنّت میں ریشم کا لباس ہو گا۔

And they are guided to goodly words and they are guided into the path of the Praised One.

اور انہیں پاکیزہ قول کی طرف ہدایت دی گئی ہے اور انہیں خدائے حمید کے راستہ کی طرف رہنمائی کی گئی ہے۔

Surely (as for) those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from Allah’s way and from the Sacred Mosque which We have made equally for all men, (for) the dweller therein and (for) the visitor, and whoever shall incline therein to wrong unjustly, We will make him taste of a painful chastisement.

بےشک جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور لوگوں کو اللہ کے راستے اور مسجد الحرام سے روکتے ہیں جسے ہم نے تمام انسانوں کے لئے برابر سے قرار دیا ہے چاہے وہ مقامی ہوں یا باہر والے اور جو بھی اس مسجد میں ظلم کے ساتھ الحاد کا ارادہ کرے گا ہم اسے درد ناک عذاب کا مزہ چکھائیں گے۔

And when We assigned to Ibrahim the place of the House, saying: Do not associate with Me aught, and purify My House for those who make the circuit and stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves.

اور اس وقت کو یاد دلائیں جب ہم نے ابراہیمؑ کے لئے بیت اللہ کی جگہ مہیا کی کہ خبردار ہمارے بارے میں کسی طرح کا شرک نہ ہونے پائے اور تم ہمارے گھر کو طواف کرنے والے، قیام کرنے والے اور رکوع و سجود کرنے والوں کے لئے پاک و پاکیزہ بنا دو۔

And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path

اور لوگوں کے درمیان حج کا اعلان کر دو کہ لوگ تمہاری طرف پیدل اور لاغر سواریوں پر دور دراز علاقوں سے سوار ہو کر آئیں گے۔

That they may witness advantages for them and mention the name of Allah during stated days over what He has given them of the cattle quadrupeds, then eat of them and feed the distressed one, the needy.

تاکہ اپنے منافع کا مشاہدہ کریں اور چند معین دنوں میں ان چوپایوں پر جو خدا نے بطور رزق عطا کئے ہیں خدا کا نام لیں اور پھر تم اس میں سے کھاؤ اور بھوکے محتاج افراد کو کھلاؤ۔

Then let them accomplish their needful acts of shaving and cleansing, and let them fulfil their vows and let them go round the Ancient House.

پھر لوگوں کو چاہئے کہ اپنے بدن کی کثافت کو دور کریں اور اپنی نذروں کو پورا کریں اور اس قدیم ترین مکان کا طواف کریں۔

That (shall be so); and whoever respects the sacred ordinances of Allah, it is better for him with his Lord; and the cattle are made lawful for you, except that which is recited to you, therefore avoid the uncleanness of the idols and avoid false words

یہ ایک حکمِ خدا ہے اور جو شخص بھی خدا کی محترم چیزوں کی تعظیم کرے گا وہ اس کے حق میں پیشِ پروردگار بہتری کا سبب ہو گی اور تمہارے لئے تمام جانور حلال کر دیئے گئے ہیں علاوہ ان کے جن کے بارے میں تم سے بیان کیا جائے گا لہذا تم ناپاک بتوں سے پرہیز کرتے رہو اور لغو اور مہمل باتوں سے اجتناب کرتے رہو۔

Being upright for Allah, not associating aught with Him and whoever associates (others) with Allah, it is as though he had fallen from on high, then the birds snatch him away or the wind carries him off to a far-distant place.

اللہ کے لئے مخلص اور باطل سے کترا کر رہو اور کسی طرح کا شرک اختیار نہ کرو کہ جو کسی کو اس کا شریک بناتا ہے وہ گویا آسمان سے گر پڑتا ہے اور اسے پرندہ اچک لیتا ہے یا ہوا کسی دور دراز جگہ پر لے جاکر پھینک دیتی ہے۔

That (shall be so); and whoever respects the signs of Allah, this surely is (the outcome) of the piety of hearts.

یہ ہمارا فیصلہ ہے اور جو بھی اللہ کی نشانیوں کی تعظیم کرے گا یہ تعظیم اس کے دل کے تقویٰ کا نتیجہ ہو گی۔

You have advantages in them till a fixed time, then their place of sacrifice is the Ancient House.

تمہارے لئے ان قربانی کے جانوروں میں ایک مقررہ مدّت تک فائدے ہی فائدے ہیں اس کے بعد ان کی جگہ خانہ کعبہ کے پاس ہے۔

And to every nation We appointed acts of devotion that they may mention the name of Allah on what He has given them of the cattle quadrupeds; so your God is One God, therefore to Him should you submit, and give good news to the humble

اور ہم نے ہر قوم کے لئے قربانی کا طریقہ مقرر کر دیا ہے تاکہ جن جانوروں کا رزق ہم نے عطا کیا ہے ان پر نامِ خدا کا ذکر کریں پھر تمہارا خدا صرف خدائے واحد ہے تم اسی کے اطاعت گزار بنو اور ہمارے گڑگڑانے والے بندوں کو بشارت دے دو۔

(To) those whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and those who are patient under that which afflicts them, and those who keep up prayer, and spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them.

جن کے سامنے ذکر خدا آتا ہے تو ان کے دل لرز جاتے ہیں اور وہ جو مصیبت پر صبر کرنے والے اور نماز قائم کرنے والے ہیں اور ہم نے جو رزق دیا ہے اس میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرنے والے ہیں۔

And (as for) the camels, We have made them of the signs of the religion of Allah for you; for you therein is much good; therefore mention the name of Allah on them as they stand in a row, then when they fall down eat of them and feed the poor man who is contented and the beggar; thus have We made them subservient to you, that you may be grateful.

اور ہم نے قربانیوں کے اونٹ کو بھی اپنی نشانیوں میں سے قرار دیا ہے اس میں تمہارے لئے خیر ہے لہذا اس پر کھڑے ہونے کی حالت ہی میں نام خدا کا ذکر کرو اور اس کے بعد جب اس کے تمام پہلو گر جائیں تو اس میں سے خود بھی کھاؤ اور قناعت کرنے والے اور مانگنے والے سب غریبوں کو کھلاؤ کہ ہم نے انہیں تمہارے لئے مسخّر کر دیا ہے تاکہ تم شکر گزار بندے بن جاؤ۔

There does not reach Allah their flesh nor their blood, but to Him is acceptable the guarding (against evil) on your part; thus has He made them subservient to you, that you may magnify Allah because He has guided you aright; and give good news to those who do good (to others).

خدا تک ان جانوروں کا نہ گوشت جانے والا ہے اور نہ خون، اس کی بارگاہ میں صرف تمہارا تقویٰ جاتا ہے اور اسی طرح ہم نے ان جانوروں کو تمہارا تابع بنا دیا ہے کہ خدا کی دی ہوئی ہدایت پر اس کی کبریائی کا اعلان کرو اور نیک عمل والوں کو بشارت دے دو۔

Surely Allah will defend those who believe; surely Allah does not love anyone who is unfaithful, ungrateful.

بےشک اللہ صاحبانِ ایمان کی طرف سے دفاع کرتا ہے اور یقینًا اللہ خیانت کرنے والے کافروں کو ہرگز دوست نہیں رکھتا ہے۔

Permission (to fight) is given to those upon whom war is made because they are oppressed, and most surely Allah is well able to assist them;

جن لوگوں سے مسلسل جنگ کی جارہی ہے انہیں ان کی مظلومیت کی بناء پر جہاد کی اجازت دے دی گئی ہے اور یقینًا اللہ ان کی مدد پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

Those who have been expelled from their homes without a just cause except that they say: Our Lord is Allah. And had there not been Allah’s repelling some people by others, certainly there would have been pulled down cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques in which Allah’s name is much remembered; and surely Allah will help him who helps His cause; most surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جو اپنے گھروں سے بلا کسی حق کے نکال دیئے گئے ہیں علاوہ اس کے کہ وہ یہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارا پروردگار اللہ ہے اور اگر خدا بعض لوگوں کو بعض کے ذریعہ نہ روکتا ہوتا تو تمام گرجے اور یہودیوں کے عبادت خانے اور مجوسیوں کے عبادت خانے اور مسجدیں سب منہدم کردی جاتیں اور اللہ اپنے مدد گاروں کی یقینًا مدد کرے گا کہ وہ یقینًا صاحبِ قوت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ عزّت بھی ہے۔

Those who, should We establish them in the land, will keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and enjoin good and forbid evil; and Allah’s is the end of affairs.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ہم نے زمین میں اختیار دیا تو انہوں نے نماز قائم کی اور زکوٰۃ ادا کی اور نیکیوں کا حکم دیا اور برائیوں سے روکا اور یہ طے ہے کہ جملہ امور کا انجام خدا کے اختیار میں ہے۔

And if they reject you, then already before them did the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood reject (prophets).

اور پیغمبر اگر یہ لوگ آپ کو جھٹلاتے ہیں تو ان سے پہلے قومِ نوح، قومِ عاد اور قوم ثمود نے یہی کام کیا تھا۔

And the people of Ibrahim and the people of Lut

اور قوم ابراہیم اور قوم لوط نے بھی۔

As well as those of Madyan and Musa (too) was rejected, but I gave respite to the unbelievers, then did I overtake them, so how (severe) was My disapproval.

اور اصحابِ مدین نے بھی اور موسٰی کو بھی جھٹلایا گیا ہے تو ہم نے کفار کو مہلت دے دی اور پھر اس کے بعد انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا تو سب نے دیکھ لیا کہ ہمارا عذاب کیسا ہوتا ہے۔

So how many a town did We destroy while it was unjust, so it was fallen down upon its roofs, and (how many a) deserted well and palace raised high.

غرض کتنی ہی بستیاں ہیں جنہیں ہم نے تباہ و برباد کر دیا کہ وہ ظالم تھیں تو اب وہ اپنی چھتوں کے بل الٹی پڑی ہیں اور ان کے کنویں معطل پڑے ہیں اور ان کے مضبوط محل بھی مسمار ہو گئے ہیں۔

Have they not travelled in the land so that they should have hearts with which to understand, or ears with which to hear? For surely it is not the eyes that are blind, but blind are the hearts which are in the breasts.

کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سیر نہیں کی ہے کہ ان کے پاس ایسے دل ہوتے جو سمجھ سکتے اور ایسے کان ہوتے جو سن سکتے اس لئے کہ در حقیقت آنکھیں اندھی نہیں ہوتی ہیں بلکہ وہ دل اندھے ہوتے ہیں جو سینوں کے اندر پائے جاتے ہیں۔

And they ask you to hasten on the punishment, and Allah will by no means fail in His promise, and surely a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you number.

پیغمبر یہ لوگ آپ سے عذاب میں عجلت کا تقاضا کر رہے ہیں حالانکہ خدا اپنے وعدہ کے خلاف ہرگز نہیں کر سکتا ہے اور آپ کے پروردگار کے نزدیک ایک دن بھی ان کے شمار کے ہزار سال کے برابر ہوتا ہے۔

And how many a town to which I gave respite while it was unjust, then I overtook it, and to Me is the return.

اور کتنی ہی بستیاں تھیں جنہیں ہم نے مہلت دی حالانکہ وہ ظالم تھیں پھر ہم نے انہیں اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا اور بالآخر سب کی بازگشت ہماری ہی طرف ہے۔

Say: O people! I am only a plain warner to you.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ انسانو! میں تمہارے لئے صرف واضح طور پر ڈرانے والا ہوں۔

Then (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have forgiveness and an honorable sustenance.

پھر جو لوگ ایمان لے آئے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے ہیں ان کے لئے مغفرت اور بہترین رزق ہے۔

And (as for) those who strive to oppose Our communications, they shall be the inmates of the flaming fire.

اور جن لوگوں نے ہماری نشانیوں کے بارے میں کوشش کی کہ ہم کو عاجز کر دیں وہ سب کے سب جہنّم میں جانے والے ہیں۔

And We did not send before you any apostle or prophet, but when he desired, the Shaitan made a suggestion respecting his desire; but Allah annuls that which the Shaitan casts, then does Allah establish His communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise

اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے کوئی ایسا رسول یا نبی نہیں بھیجا ہے کہ جب بھی اس نے کوئی نیک آرزو کی تو شیطان نے اس کی آرزو کی راہ میں رکاوٹ ڈال دی تو پھر خدا نے شیطان کی ڈالی ہوئی رکاوٹ کو مٹا دیا اور پھر اپنی آیات کو مستحکم بنا دیا کہ وہ بہت زیادہ جاننے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

So that He may make what the Shaitan casts a trial for those in whose hearts is disease and those whose hearts are hard; and most surely the unjust are in a great opposition

تاکہ وہ شیطانی القاء کو ان لوگوں کے لئے آزمائش بنا دے جن کے قلوب میں مرض ہے اور جن کے دل سخت ہو گئے ہیں اور ظالمین یقینًا بہت دور رس نافرمانی میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں۔

And that those who have been given the knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, so they may believe in it and their hearts may be lowly before it; and most surely Allah is the Guide of those who believe into a right path.

اور اس لئے بھی کہ صاحبانِ علم کو معلوم ہو جائے کہ یہ وحی پروردگار کی طرف سے برحق ہے اور اس طرح وہ ایمان لے آئیں اور پھر ان کے دل اس کی بارگاہ میں عاجزی کا اظہار کریں اور یقینًا اللہ ایمان لانے والوں کو سیدھے راستہ کی طرف ہدایت کرنے والا ہے۔

And those who disbelieve shall not cease to be in doubt concerning it until the hour overtakes them suddenly, or there comes on them the chastisement of a destructive day.

اور یہ کفر اختیار کرنے والے ہمیشہ اس کی طرف سے شبہ ہی میں رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ اچانک ان کے پاس قیامت آجائے یا کسی منحوس دن کا عذاب وارد ہو جائے۔

The kingdom on that day shall be Allah’s; He will judge between them; so those who believe and do good will be in gardens of bliss.

آج کے دن ملک اللہ کے لئے ہے اور وہی ان سب کے درمیان فیصلہ کرے گا پھر جو لوگ ایمان لے آئے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے وہ نعمتوں والی جنّت میں رہیں گے۔

And (as for) those who disbelieve in and reject Our communications, these it is who shall have a disgraceful chastisement.

اور جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور ہماری آیتوں کی تکذیب کی ان کے لئے نہایت درجہ کا رسوا کن عذاب ہے۔

And (as for) those who fly in Allah’s way and are then slain or die, Allah will most certainly grant them a goodly sustenance, and most surely Allah is the best Giver of sustenance.

اور جن لوگوں نے راہِ خدا میں ہجرت کی اور پھر قتل ہو گئے یا انہیں موت آگئی تو یقینًا خدا انہیں بہترین رزق عطا کرے گا کہ وہ بےشک بہترین رزق دینے والا ہے۔

He will certainly cause them to enter a place of entrance which they shall be well pleased with, and most surely Allah is Knowing, Forbearing.

وہ انہیں ایسی جگہ پہنچائے گا جسے وہ پسند کرتے ہوں گے اور اللہ بہت زیادہ جاننے والا اور برداشت کرنے والا ہے۔

That (shall be so); and he who retaliates with the like of that with which he has been afflicted and he has been oppressed, Allah will most certainly aid him; most surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

یہ سب اپنے مقام پر ہے لیکن اس کے بعد جو دشمن کو اتنی ہی سزا دے جتنا کہ اسے ستایا گیا ہے اور پھر بھی اس پر ظلم کیا جائے تو خدا اس کی مدد ضرور کرے گا کہ وہ یقینًا بہت معاف کرنے والا اور بخشنے والا ہے۔

That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night, and because Allah is Hearing, Seeing.

یہ سب اس لئے ہے کہ خدا رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے اور اللہ بہت زیادہ سننے والا اور دیکھنے والا ہے۔

That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon besides Him- that is the falsehood, and because Allah is the High, the Great.

یہ اس لئے ہے کہ خدا ہی یقینًا برحق ہے اور اس کے علاوہ جس کو بھی یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں وہ سب باطل ہیں اور اللہ بہت زیادہ بلندی والا اور بزرگی اور عظمت والا ہے۔

Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud so the earth becomes green? Surely Allah is Benignant, Aware.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا تو اس سے زمین سرسبز و شاداب ہو جاتی ہے یقینًا اللہ بہت زیادہ مہربان اور حالات کی خبر رکھنے والا ہے۔

His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; and most surely Allah is the Self-sufficient, the Praised.

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کے لئے ہے اور یقینًا وہ سب سے بے نیاز اور قابل حمد و ستائش ہے۔

Do you not see that Allah has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the earth and the ships running in the sea by His command? And He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except with His permission; most surely Allah is Compassionate, Merciful to men.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے تمہارے لئے زمین کی تمام چیزوں کو مسخّر کر دیا ہے اور کشتیاں بھی دریا میں اسی کے حکم سے چلتی ہیں اور وہی آسمان کو روکے ہوئے ہے کہ اس کی اجازت کے بغیر زمین پر نہیں گر سکتا ہے۔ اللہ اپنے بندوں پر بڑا شفیق اور مہربان ہے۔

And He it is Who has brought you to life, then He will cause you to die, then bring you to life (again); most surely man is ungrateful.

وہی خدا ہے جس نے تم کو حیات دی ہے اور پھر موت دے گا اور پھر زندہ کرے گا مگر انسان بڑا انکار کرنے والا اور ناشکرا ہے۔

To every nation We appointed acts of devotion which they observe, therefore they should not dispute with you about the matter and call to your Lord; most surely you are on a right way.

ہر امّت کے لئے ایک طریقہ عبادت ہے جس پر وہ عمل کر رہی ہے لہذا اس امر میں ان لوگوں کو آپ سے جھگڑا نہیں کرنا چاہئے اور آپ انہیں اپنے پروردگار کی طرف دعوت دیں کہ آپ بالکل سیدھی ہدایت کے راستہ پر ہیں۔

And if they contend with you, say: Allah best knows what you do.

اور اگر یہ آپ سے جھگڑا کریں تو کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

Allah will judge between you on the day of resurrection respecting that in which you differ.

اللہ ہی تمہارے درمیان روزِ قیامت ان باتوں کا فیصلہ کرے گا جن باتوں میں تم اختلاف کر رہے ہو۔

Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and the earth? Surely this is in a book; surely this is easy to Allah.

کیا تمہیں نہیں معلوم ہے کہ اللہ زمین اور آسمان کی تمام باتوں کو خوب جانتا ہے اور یہ سب باتیں کتاب میں محفوظ ہیں اور سب باتیں خدا کے لئے بہت آسان ہیں۔

And they serve besides Allah that for which He has not sent any authority, and that of which they have no knowledge; and for the unjust there shall be no helper.

اور یہ لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر ان کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جن کے بارے میں نہ خدا نے کوئی دلیل نازل کی ہے اور نہ خود انہیں کوئی علم ہے اور ظالمین کے لئے واقعًا کوئی مدد گار نہیں ہے۔

And when Our clear communications are recited to them you will find denial on the faces of those who disbelieve; they almost spring upon those who recite to them Our communications. Say: Shall I inform you of what is worse than this? The fire; Allah has promised it to those who disbelieve; and how evil the resort!

اور جب ان کے سامنے ہماری واضح آیتیں پڑھ کر سنائی جاتی ہیں تو تم دیکھتے ہو کہ کفر اختیار کرنے والوں کے چہرہ پر ناگواری کے آثار ظاہر ہو جاتے ہیں اور قریب ہوتا ہے کہ وہ ان تلاوت کرنے والوں پر حملہ کر بیٹھیں تو کہہ دیجئے کہ میں اس سے بدتر بات کے بارے میں بتلا رہا ہوں اور وہ جہنّم ہے جس کا خدا نے کافروں سے وعدہ کیا ہے اور وہ بہت برا انجام ہے۔

O people! a parable is set forth, therefore listen to it: surely those whom you call upon besides Allah cannot create a fly, though they should all gather for it, and should the fly snatch away anything from them, they could not take it back from it; weak are the invoker and the invoked.

انسانو! تمہارے لئے ایک مثل بیان کی گئی ہے لہذا اسے غور سے سنو، یہ لوگ جنہیں تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر آواز دیتے ہو یہ سب مل بھی جائیں تو ایک مکھی نہیں پیدا کر سکتے ہیں اور اگر مکھی ان سے کوئی چیز چھین لے تو یہ اس سے چھڑا بھی نہیں سکتے ہیں کہ طالب اور مطلوب دونوں ہی کمزور ہیں۔

They have not estimated Allah with the estimation that is due to Him; most surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.

افسوس کہ ان لوگوں نے خدا کی واقعی قدر نہیں پہچانی اور بےشک اللہ بڑا قدرت والا اور سب پر غالب ہے۔

Allah chooses messengers from among the angels and from among the men; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.

اللہ ملائکہ اور انسانوں میں سے اپنے نمائندے منتخب کرتا ہے اور وہ بڑا سننے والا اور خوب دیکھنے والا ہے۔

He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and to Allah are all affairs turned back.

وہ ان کے سامنے اور پس پشت کی تمام باتوں کو جانتا ہے اور تمام امور اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانے والے ہیں۔

O you who believe! bow down and prostrate yourselves and serve your Lord, and do good that you may succeed.

ایمان والو! رکوع کرو، سجدہ کرو اور اپنے رب کی عبادت کرو اور کارِ خیر انجام دو کہ شاید اسی طرح کامیاب ہو جاؤ اور نجات حاصل کر لو۔

And strive hard in (the way of) Allah, (such) a striving as is due to Him; He has chosen you and has not laid upon you any hardship in religion; the faith of your father Ibrahim; He named you Muslims before and in this, that the Apostle may be a bearer of witness to you, and you may be bearers of witness to the people; therefore keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and hold fast by Allah; He is your Guardian; how excellent the Guardian and how excellent the Helper!

اور اللہ کے بارے میں اس طرح جہاد کرو جو جہاد کرنے کا حق ہے کہ اس نے تمہیں منتخب کیا ہے اور دین میں کوئی زحمت نہیں قرار دی ہے یہی تمہارے بابا ابراہیمؑ کا دین ہے اس نے تمہارا نام پہلے بھی اور اس قرآن میں بھی مسلم اور اطاعت گزار رکھا ہے تاکہ رسول تمہارے اوپر گواہ رہے اور تم لوگوں کے اعمال کے گواہ رہو لہذا اب تم نماز قائم کرو زکوٰۃ ادا کرو اور اللہ سے باقاعدہ طور پر وابستہ ہو جاؤ کہ وہی تمہارا مولا ہے اور وہی بہترین مولا اور بہترین مدد گار ہے۔

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
