Ibrahim Ibn Abi al-Belaad says that Imam Reza (a) told me: What do you say at the time of salutation of the Holy Prophet (s)? I said: Whatever is famous and narrated. He (a) said: Do you want that I teach you better than that? I said: Yes. May I be sacrificed upon you. Imam Reza (a) wrote in his hand-writing and read it for me while I was sitting in his presence. ابراہیم ابن ابی البلاد نے کہا کہ امام رضاؑ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: تم کیا کہتے ہو جب تم رسولِ خداؐ کو سلام کرتے ہو؟ میں نے کہا وہی جو روایتوں میں مشہور ہے۔ امامؑ نے فرمایا: کیا تم چاہتے ہو کہ میں تمہیں اُس سے بہتر تعلیم دوں؟ میں نے کہا: ہاں! میری جان آپ پر قربان۔ امام رضاؑ نے میرے سامنے اپنے ہاتھوں سے مجھے یہ لکھ کر دیا۔ جب رسولِ خداؐ کی زیارت کے ارادہ سے اُن کی قبر مبارک کے سامنے کھڑے رہو تو اس طرح سے کہو۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّكَ وَنَصَحْتَ لِاُمَّتِكَ وَجَاهَدْتَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ رَبِّكَ وَعَبَدْتَهٗ حَتّٰى اَتَاكَ الْيَقِيْنُ وَاَدَّيْتَ الَّذِيْ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُوْلِكَ وَنَجِيْبِكَ وَاَمِيْنِكَ وَصَفِيِّكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ اَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى اَحَدٍ مِنْ اَنْبِيَآئِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ۔
Ashhadu an laa ilaaha illaa allaahu wahdahoo laa shareeka lahoo wa-ashhadu annaka muhammadu ibnu 'abdi allaahi wa-ashhadu annaka rasoolu allaahi wa-ashhadu annaka khaatamu an-nabiyyeena wa-ashhadu annaka qad ballaghta risaalata rabbika wanasahta li-ummatika wajaahadta fee sabeeli rabbika wa'abadtahoo hattaa ataaka al-yaqeenu wa-addayta allazee 'alayka mina al-haqq.
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin 'abdika warasoolika wanajeebika wa-ameenika wasafiyyika wakhiyaratika min khalqika afdala maa sallayta 'alaa ahadin min anbiyaa'ika warusulik.
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, One and Only and having no associate, I bear witness that you are Muhammad the son of Abdullah, I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that you are seal of the Prophets, I bear witness that you have conveyed the messages of your Lord, offered your people good advice, striven hard in the way of your Lord, worshipped Him, until death came upon you, you fulfilled the duty that was incumbent upon you. O Allah! Send blessing upon Muhammad, Your servant, Your Messenger, Your Confidant, Your Trustee, Your Choice and the best of Your creation, with the best blessings that You have ever poured on any of Your Prophets and Your Messengers.
میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ خدا کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ محمدؐ عبداللہ کے فرزند ہیں اور گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ اللہ کے رسولؐ ہیں اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ خاتم النبیین ہیں اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ نے اپنے رب کا پیغام پہنچایا اور اپنی اُمت کو نصیحت کی، اور اپنے رب کی راہ میں جہاد کیا، آخری وقت تک اُس کی عبادت کی اور اُن تمام حقوق کو ادا کیا جو اُس کی طرف آپ کی گردن پر تھے، اے خدا محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل کر جو تیرے بندہ اور تیرے رسول ہے، جو تیرے برگزیدہ و امانت دار ہے تیری مخلوقات میں سے بہترین مخلوق ہیں، اُس ذات پر رحمت نازل فرما جتنی رحمت تو نے اپنے انبیا میں سے کسی پر نازل کی ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ سَلِّمْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا سَلَّمْتَ عَلٰى نُوْحٍ فِيْ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَامْنُنْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلٰى مُوْسٰى وَهَارُوْنَ وَبَارِكْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَاٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَتَرَحَّمْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ الْبَيْتِ الْحَرَامِ وَرَبَّ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَرَبَّ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ وَرَبَّ الْبَلَدِ الْحَرَامِ وَرَبَّ الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَامِ وَرَبَّ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ بَلِّغْ رُوْحَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِہٖ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ۔
Allaahumma sallim 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin kamaa sallamta 'alaa noohin fee al-'aalameena wamnun 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin kamaa mananta 'alaa moosaa wahaaroona wabaarik 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin kamaa baarakta 'alaa ibraaheema wa-aali ibraaheema innaka hameedun majeed.
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin watarahham 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
Allaahumma rabba al-bayti al-haraami warabba al-masjidi al-haraami warabba ar-rukni wal-maqaami warabba al-baladi al-haraami warabba al-hilli wal-haraami warabba al-mash'ari al-haraami balligh rooha muhammadin sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee minnee as-salaam.
O Allah! Send peace on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad just as You sent peace on Nuh among all the creatures and confer favors on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad just as You conferred a favor upon Moosa and Haaroon, O Allah! Send benedictions on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad just as You have sent benedictions upon Ibrahim and the progeny of Ibrahim, for You are most praiseworthy and glorious. O Allah! Send blessing upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, and to have mercy on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad. O Allah! Lord of the Sacred House, Lord of the Holy Mosque, Lord of the Rukn and the Maqam, Lord of legality and sanctuary, Lord of the Holy Monument, convey to the soul of Muhammad, blessings of Allah be on him and his progeny, my greetings.
اے خدا رحمت نازل کر محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر جس طرح تو نے جناب نوحؑ پر رحمت نازل کی پوری کائنات میں سے، اور محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل کر اُن کو اپنے امان میں رکھ کہ جس طرح تو نے موسٰیؑ و ہارونؑ کو اپنے امان میں رکھا، اے خدا رحمت و برکت نازل کر محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر جس طرح جناب ابراہیمؑ و آل ابراہیمؑ پر برکت نازل فرمائی، بےشک تو قابل تعریف و بزرگی والا ہے، اے خدا محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت و سلامتی نازل کر اور محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت کر، اے خدا! تو بیت الحرام کا رب ہے، تو مسجد الحرام کا رب ہے، تو رکن و مقام کا رب ہے، تو مقدس شہر کا رب ہے، تو حرمت والے گھر کا رب ہے، تو مقدس یاد گار کا رب ہے، پس روح محمدؐ پر اور آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل کر اور میری طرف سے اُن کو سلام پش کر۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
