مستحب ہے کہ پیدل سعی کرے اور صفا سے منارۂ میانہ تک جائے اور وہاں سے بازار عطاران تک ہرولہ کرے یعنی اونٹ کی مانند تیز رفتاری سے چلے (منارہ میانہ اور بازار عطاران کے درمیانی فاصلہ کو آجکل سبز روشنی کے ذریعہ مشخص و معین کر دیا گیا ہے)، اور اگر پیدل چلنے کے بجائے سواری پر سعی کر رہا ہو تب بھی اس فاصلہ کو تیزی سے طے کرے، عورتوں کے لئے ہرولہ مناسب نہیں ہے۔ ہرولہ کے دوران یہ دُعا پڑھنا مستحب ہے۔۔۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُكَ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ بِكَ عَلٰی كُلِّ حَالٍ وَصِدْقَ النِّیَّۃِ فِی التَّوَكُّلِ عَلَیْكَ۔
Allaahumma innee as'aluka husna az-zanni bika 'alaa kulli haalin wasidqa an-niyyati fee at-tawakkuli 'alayk.
O Allah, I ask You for having a good opinion of You in every situation, and for sincerity of intention in trusting and relying upon You.
اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے ہر حال میں تیرے بارے میں حسنِ ظن اور تجھ پر توکل میں نیت کی سچائی کا سوال کرتا ہوں۔

جب اس مقام سے گزر جائے تو کہے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ وَبِاللہِ وَاللہُ اَكْبَرُ وَصَلَّی اللہُ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَھْلِ بَیْتِہٖ۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَتَجَاوَزْ عَمَّا تَعْلَمُ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْاَعَزُّ الْاَجَلُّ الْاَكْرَمُ وَاہْدِنِیْ لِلَّتِیْ ہِیَ اَقْوَمُ۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنَّ عَمَلِیْ ضَعِیْفٌ فَضَاعِفْہُ لِیْ وَتَقَبَّلْہُ مِنِّیْ۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ لَكَ سَعْیِیْ وَبِكَ حَوْلِیْ وَقُوَّتِیْ تَقَبَّلْ مِنِّیْ عَمَلِیْ یَا مَنْ یَّقْبَلُ عَمَلَ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ۔
Bismi allaahi wabillaahi wallaahu akbaru wasallaa allaahu 'alaa muhammadin wa-ahli baytih.
Allaahumma ighfir warham watajaawaz 'ammaa ta'lamu innaka anta al-a'azzu al-ajallu al-akramu wahdinee lillatee hiya aqwam.
Allaahumma inna 'amalee da'eefun fadaa'ifhu lee wataqabbalhu minnee.
Allaahumma laka sa'yee wabika hawlee waquwwatee taqabbal minnee 'amalee yaa man yaqbalu 'amala al-muttaqeen.
In the name of Allah, and by Allah; Allah is the Greatest; and may Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and the people of his house. O Allah, forgive, have mercy, and overlook what You know (of my faults). Truly You are the Most Mighty, the Most Majestic, the Most Generous. And guide me to that which is most upright. O Allah, my deeds are weak, so multiply them for me and accept them from me. O Allah, for You is my striving, and by You is my ability and my strength. Accept my deeds from me, O One who accepts the deeds of the God-fearing.
اللہ کے نام سے، اللہ کے ذریعہ سے اور اللہ بزرگ ہے، محمدؐ اور ان کے اہل بیتؑ پر خدا کا درود و سلام ہو۔ اے میرے اللہ! مجھے بخش دے، مجھ پر رحم فرما اور جو گناہ تو جانتا ہے اس سے درگزر فرما، یقینًا تو زیادہ عزّت والا، زیادہ بزرگ اور زیادہ کریم ہے، مجھے اس راستہ کی ہدایت فرما جو بہت درست اور سیدھا ہے۔ خدایا! یقینًا میرا عمل کمزور ہے تو اس میں اضافہ فرما کر اسے مجھ سے قبول کر لے۔ اے میرے اللہ! یہ سعی تیرے لئے ہے اور تیرے ذریعہ سے میری طاقت و قوت ہے، تو میرا عمل قبول کر، اے وہ جو متقین کے عمل کو قبول کرتا ہے۔
When one passes from that place, he should say…
اور جب مروہ پر پہنچے تو مروہ کی بلندی پر جائے اور وہاں بھی وہی اعمال بجا لائے جو صفا پر بجا لایا تھا اور اسی ترتیب سے دُعائیں وغیرہ پڑھے اور پھر کہے۔۔۔
یَا ذَا الْمَنِّ وَالْفَضْلِ وَالْكَرَمِ وَالنَّعْمَآئِ وَالْجُوْدِ اِغْفِرْ لِیْ ذُنُوْبِیْ اِنَّہٗ لَا یَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ۔
Yaa zaa al-manni wal-fadli wal-karami wan-na'maa'i wal-joodi ighfir lee zunoobee innahoo laa yaghfiru az-zunooba illaa ant.
O Possessor of grace and favor, generosity, blessings, and bounty—forgive my sins. Truly, none forgives sins except You.
اے وہ خدا جو احسان کرنے والا ہے، فضل و کرم والا ہے، نعمتوں اور سخاوت والا ہے، میرے گناہوں کو بخش دے کیونکہ میرے گناہوں کو تیرے سوا کوئی نہیں بخشے گا۔
Then recite Dua-e-Saee.
پھر دُعاء سعی پڑھے۔
