While going to Arafat

A supplication for the road to Arafat, said on the days of Hajj as the pilgrim moves out from Mina.
It opens by placing every hope in Allah and asking that those hopes be fulfilled and the reciter’s deeds set in order. It then praises Him for bringing the pilgrim to Mina in sound health and this far on the journey, and — standing at the place where the rites were granted — asks Him, by the grace He bestowed upon His prophets, for that same grace, the pilgrim naming himself only as one of His servants and within His power.
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِیَّاكَ اَرْجُوْ وَاِیَّاكَ اَدْعُوْ فَبَلِّغْنِیْ اَمَلِیْ وَاَصْلِحْ لِیْ عَمَلِیْ۔
Allaahumma iyyaaka arjoo wa iyyaaka ad-o’o fa-ballighnee amalee wa asleh lee a’malee.
O Allah! I place all my hopes in You and supplicate to You. Fulfill my hopes and put my actions in order.
خدایا! میں تجھ ہی سے امیدیں باندھے ہوں اور تجھ ہی کو پکار رہا ہوں، مجھے میری آرزوؤں تک پہنچا دے اور میرے عمل کی اصلاح فرما۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ الَّذِیْ اَقْدَمَنِیْہَا صَالِحًا فِیْ عَافِیَۃٍ وَبَلَّغَنِیْ ہٰذَا الْمَكَانِ۔
Alhamdo lillaahil lazee aqdamaneehaa saalehan fee a’afeyatin wa billighnee haazal makaane.
All praise is due to Allah who brought me to Mina in sound health and got me thus far.
تمام تعریفیں اس خدا کے لئے جس نے مجھے منٰی کی توفیق دی اور خیر و عافیت سے مجھے اس مقام (منٰی) تک پہنچا یا۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ ہٰذِہٖ مِنٰی وَہِیَ مِمَّا مَنَنْتَ بِہٖ عَلَیْنَا مِنَ الْمَنَاسِكِ فَاَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تَمُنَّ عَلَیَّ بِمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلٰی اَنْبِیَآئِكَ فَاِنَّمَا اَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَفِیْ قَبْضَتِكَ۔
Allaahumma haazehee menaa wa heya mimmaa mananta behee a’laynaa menal manaaseke fa-as-aloka an tamunnaa a’layya bemaa mananta a’laa ambeyaaeka fa-innamaa anaa a’bdoka wa fee qabzateka.
O Allah! this is Mina where You have graced us with performance of ceremonies. I beseech You for the grace You have bestowed on Your Prophets, for I am one of your servants and in Your power.
بار الٰہا! یہ منٰی کا مقام ہے جس کے سبب تونے ہم پر مناسک و اعمال کی توفیق دے کر کرم فرمایا ہے۔ خدایا! تو مجھ پر ویسے ہی کرم فرما جیسا کہ تونے اپنے انبیاء پر فرمایا ہے، میں صرف تیرا بندہ ہوں اور تیرے قبحئہ قدرت میں ہوں۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِلَیْكَ صَمَدْتُ وَاِیَّاكَ اعْتَمَدْتُ وَ وَجْہَكَ اَرَدْتُ اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُبَارِكَ لِیْ فِیْ رِحْلَتِیْ وَاَنْ تَقْضِیَ لِیْ حَاجَتِیْ وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِیْ مِمَّنْ تُبَاہِیْ بِہِ الْیَوْمَ مَنْ ہُوَ اَفْضَلُ مِنِّیْ۔
Allaahumma elayka samadto wa iyyaaka’ tamadto wa wajhaka aradto as-aloka an tobaareka lee fee rehlatee wa an taqzeya lee haajatee wa an taj-a’lanee mimman tobaahee behil yawma man howa afzalo minnee.
O Allah! I turn to You, repose trust in You and seek Your pleasure. I beseech You to bless my journey, fulfill my wishes and include me among those superior to me whom You honour today.
خدایا! میں تیری طرف نیاز مند ہوں اور تجھ پر اعتماد کئے ہوں، تیری زیارت و ملاقات کا ارادہ کیا ہے، تجھ سے چاہتا ہوں کہ تو میرے سفر کو برکتوں سے بھر دے اور میری حاجتوں کو برلا، روزِ قیامت جو مجھ سے افضل ہیں اور جن کے سبب تو فخر و مباہات کرے گا، ان میں سے مجھے قرار دے۔
