Dua-e-Ghareeqدُعاء غریق
Also known as: Dua Ghareek, Dua al-Ghariq
Dua-e-Ghareeq, the supplication of the drowning man, is a short and urgent plea for steadfastness of faith: "O Allah, O Beneficent, O Merciful, O One who turns the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion."
It is narrated from Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (a), who taught that in a time of confusion, when the guiding signs are hidden, none will hold to the true faith except those who recite it, and so it is to be said with the urgency of one who is drowning, which gives the dua its name. It is especially associated with the period of the occultation (ghaybah) of Imam al-Mahdi (ajtf), and closes, as supplications do, with salawat upon the Prophet Muhammad and his holy progeny.

شیخ صدوقؒ نے عبداللہ ابن سنان سے روایت کی ہے کہ اس نے کہا: امام جعفر صادقؑ نے فرمایا: وہ وقت قریب ہے جب تم شبہ کا شکار ہوجاؤ گے اور رہبر و پیشوا کے بغیر سرگرداں ہوجاؤ گے،اس شبہ کے دور میں کوئی شخص نجات نہ پائے گا مگر وہ شخص جو یہ دُعا پڑھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
یَااَللہُ یَارَحْمٰنُ یَارَحِیْمُ۔
یَامُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوْبِ، ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِیْ عَلٰی دِیْنِكَ۔
Yaa allaahu yaa rahmaanu yaa raheem.
Yaa muqalliba al-quloobi, thabbit qalbee 'alaa deenik.
O Allah! O Beneficent! O Merciful. O One who changes the hearts (of people) Give me steadfastness upon Your religion.
اے معبود!اے بہت رحم کرنے والے اے مہربان اے دلوں کو پلٹا دینے والے میرے دل کو اپنے دین پر ثابت رکھ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
I said: O He who changes minds and sights make firm my mind in Your Religion, he said: surely Allah changes minds and sights but say as I have said to you: O He who changes mind, make my mind firm in Your Religion. I said: may be the meaning of his saying (the sight) is because changing of mind and sight shall be on the Day of Judgement, due to the intensiveness of its terror, and in occultation the only fear is changing of mind and not the sight.
تب میں نے کہا: يَا مُقَلِّبَ القُلُوبِ وَالأبْصَارِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ۔ (اے دلوں اور آنکھوں کو پلٹا دینے والے میرے دل کو اپنے دین پرقائم رکھ)۔ حضرتؑ نے فرمایا: یہ درست ہے کہ خدائے تعالیٰ دلوں اور آنکھوں کو پلٹا دینے والا ہے لیکن تم اسی طرح کہو،جیسے میں نے کہا ہے؛ یَا مُقَلِّبَ القُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِی عَلَى دِینِکَ (اے دلوں کو پلٹا دینے والے میرے دل کو اپنے دین پرثابت رکھ )۔ ان دونوں حدیثوں پر غوروفکر کرنا ان افراد کے لئے کافی ہے جو اپنی پسند کے مطابق دعاؤں اور زیارتوں میں بعض الفاظ کا اضافہ کر کے تصرف کے مرتکب ہوتے ہیں۔وَاللهُ الْعَاصِمُ۔اور خدا ہی بچانے والا ہے۔
