بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ عَلٰی حِلْمِہٖ وَاَنَاتِہٖ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ عَلٰی عِلْمِیْ بِاَنَّ ذَنْۢبِیْ وَاِنْ کَبُرَ صَغِیْرٌ فِیْ جَنْۢبِ عَفْوِہٖ وَجُرْمِیْ وَاِنْ عَظُمَ حَقِیْرٌ عِنْدَ رَحْمَتِہٖ وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِیْ رَفَعَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَیْرِ عَمَدٍ وَاَنْشَاَ جَنَّاتِ الْمَاوٰی بِلَا اَمَدٍ وَ خَلَقَ الْخَلَآئِقَ بِلَا ظَہْرٍ وَسَنَدٍ وَلَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللهُ الْمُنْذِرُ مَنْ عَنَدَ عَنْ طَاعَتِہٖ وَعَتٰی عَنْ اَمْرِہٖ وَالْمُحَذِّرُ مَنْ لَجَّ فِیْ مَعْصِیَتِہٖ وَاسْتَکْبَرَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِہٖ اَلْمُعْذِرُ اِلٰی مَنْ تَمَادٰی فِیْ غَیِّہٖ وَضَلَالَتِہٖ لِتَثْبِیْتِ حُجَّتِہٖ عَلَیْہِ وَعِلْمِہٖ بِسُوْٓءِ عَاقِبَتِہٖ۔
Al-hamdu lillaahi 'alaa hilmihee wa-anaatihee wal-hamdu lillaahi 'alaa 'ilmee bi-anna zanbee wa-in kabura sagheerun fee janbi 'afwihee wajurmee wa-in 'azuma haqeerun 'inda rahmatihee wasubhaana allaahi allazee rafa'a as-samaawaati bighayri 'amadin wa-ansha'a jannaati al-maawaa bilaa amadin wa khalaqa al-khalaa'iqa bilaa zahrin wasanadin walaa ilaaha illaa allaahu al-munziru man 'anada 'an taa'atihee wa'ataa 'an amrihee wal-muhazziru man lajja fee ma'siyatihee wastakbara 'an 'ibaadatihee al-mu'ziru ilaa man tamaadaa fee ghayyihee wadalaalatihee litathbeeti hujjatihee 'alayhi wa'ilmihee bisoo'i 'aaqibatih.
All praise belongs to Allah for His forbearance and His patience, and all praise belongs to Allah for my knowing that my sin, however great, is small beside His pardon, and my offence, however grave, is slight before His mercy. And glory be to Allah, Who raised the heavens without pillars, brought into being the Gardens of Abode without limit, and created all creatures without a helper or support. And there is no god but Allah, Who warns the one who stubbornly turns away from obeying Him and rebels against His command, Who cautions the one who persists in disobeying Him and is too proud to worship Him, and Who leaves no excuse to the one who goes on in his error and misguidance, so as to establish His proof against him, knowing his evil end.
اللہ کے حلم اور اس کے مہلت دینے پر تمام تعریفیں، اللہ کی حمد کہ مجھے یقین ہے، کہ میرے گناہ بڑے ہونے کے باوجود اس کی معافی کے سامنے ہیچ ہیں، اور میرا جرم بڑا ہونے کے باوجود اس کی رحمت کے سامنے حقیر ہے، اور اس اللہ کی تسبیح جس نے ستون کے بغیر آسمانوں کو بلند کیا، اور مدّتوں کی تعین بغیر جنّتیں خلق کیں، ساری مخلوق کو کسی پشت پناہ اور سہارے کے بغیر پیدا کیا۔ اور اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو اطاعت سے سرتابی اور حکم سے سرکشی کرنے والوں کو ڈراتا ہے۔ جو معصیتوں پر ضد، اور عبادت سے تکبّر کرنے والوں کو خوف زدہ کرتا ہے، اور جو لوگ اپنی گمراہی و کجروی میں بڑھتے چلے جاتے ہیں ان کے لئے کوئی عذر باقی نہیں چھوڑتا، تاکہ ان پر اس کی حجت قائم ہو جائے، اور وہ ان کے برے انجام سے واقف ہے۔
وَاللهُ اَکْبَرُ الْجَوَادُ الْکَرِیْمُ الَّذِیْ لَیْسَ لِقَدِیْمِ اِحْسَانِہٖ وَامْتِنَانِہٖ عَلٰی جَمِیْعِ خَلْقِہٖ نِہَایَۃٌ وَلَا لِقُدْرَتِہٖ وَبَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی اَہْلِ بَیْتِہٖ کَاَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰی اِبْرَاہِیْمَ وَاٰلِ اِبْرَاہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْدٌ۔
Wallaahu akbaru al-jawaadu al-kareemu allazee laysa liqadeemi ihsaanihee wamtinaanihee 'alaa jamee'i khalqihee nihaayatun walaa liqudratihee wabaarik 'alaa muhammadin wa'alaa ahli baytihee ka-afdali maa sallayta 'alaa ibraaheema wa-aali ibraaheema innaka hameedun majeed.
And Allah is the Greatest, the Generous, the Noble, to Whose ancient beneficence and favour upon all His creation there is no end, nor to His power. And bless Mohammad (s.a.w.a) and his Household (a.s) with the best of what You have blessed Ibrahim and the Progeny of Ibrahim; surely You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
اور اللہ بزرگ و برتر ہے، وہ سخی و کریم، جس کے قدیم احسان اور اس عظیم کرم کی کوئی انتہا نہیں جو اس نے اپنے بندوں پر کیا ہے، نہ اس کی مخلوقات پر قدرت اور بالا دستی کی کوئی حد نہیں۔ خداوندا! محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؑ پر اتنی بہتر رحمت نازل فرما، جیسی رحمت حضرت ابراہیمؑ اور آلِ ابراہیمؑ پر نازل کی تھی، بلا شبہ تو لائق حمد و صاحبِ بزرگی ہے۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ سُؤَالَ مُذْنِبٍ اَوْبَقَتْہُ مَعَاصِیْہِ فِیْ ضِیْقِ الْمَسَالِکِ وَلَیْسَ لَہٗ مُجِیْرٌ سِوَاکَ وَلَا اَمَلٌ غَیْرُکَ وَلَا مُغِیْثٌ اَرْئَفُ بِہٖ مِنْکَ وَلَا مُعْتَمِدٌ یَعْتَمِدُ عَلَیْہِ غَیْرُکَ اَنْتَ مَوْلَایَ الَّذِیْ جُدْتَ بِالنِّعَمِ قَبْلَ اِسْتِحْقَاقِہَا وَاَہَّلْتَہَا بِتَطَوُّلِکَ غَیْرَ مُوَہِّلِیْہَا وَلَمْ یَعُزُّکَ مَنْعٌ وَلَا اَکْدَاکَ اِعْطَائٌ وَلَا اَنْفَدَ سَعَتَکَ سُؤَالُ مُلِحٍّ بَلْ اَرَدْتَ اِرْزَاقَ عِبَادِکَ تَطَوُّلًا مِنْکَ عَلَیْہِمْ وَتَفَضُّلًا مِنْکَ لَدَیْہِمْ۔
Allaahumma innee as'aluka su'aala muznibin awbaqat-hu ma'aaseehi fee deeqi al-masaaliki walaysa lahoo mujeerun siwaaka walaa amalun ghayruka walaa mugheethun ar'afu bihee minka walaa mu'tamidun ya'tamidu 'alayhi ghayruka anta mawlaaya allazee judta bin-ni'ami qabla istihqaaqihaa wa-ahhaltahaa bitatawwulika ghayra muwahhileehaa walam ya'uzzuka man'un walaa akdaaka i'taa'un walaa anfada sa'ataka su'aalu mulihhin bal aradta irzaaqa 'ibaadika tatawwulan minka 'alayhim watafaddulan minka ladayhim.
O Allah! I ask You with the asking of a sinner whose sins have destroyed him in narrow straits, who has no protector but You, no hope other than You, no helper kinder to him than You, and no support to rely on other than You. You are my Master, Who were generous with blessings before they were deserved, and through Your bounty made worthy of them those who were not worthy of them. Withholding has not added to Your might, nor has giving impoverished You, nor has the asking of the insistent exhausted Your plenty; rather, You have willed the provision of Your servants as a bounty from You to them and a favour from You with them.
خداوندا! میں اس گناہ گار کی طرح تجھے پکار رہا ہوں جسے اس کے گناہوں نے تنگ راستوں میں ہلاک کر دیا ہو، تیرے سوا اس کا پناہ دینے والا اور تیرے سوا اس کا آسرا نہ ہو، نہ تجھ سے زیادہ مہربان فریاد رس ہو، نہ تیرے علاوہ قابل اعتماد سہارا، تو وہ مولا ہے کہ استحقاق سے پہلے نعمتوں کی بارش کی، اور نا اہل لوگوں کو اپنے کرم سے مستحق احسان بنا دیا، نہ بخل تجھے دولت مند و قوی بناتا ہے، نہ کرم تہی دست، نہ ضدّی سائلوں کے سوال تیری وسعت کو کم کرتے ہیں، تونے اپنے بندوں کی روزی صرف اس لئے اپنے ذمہ لی کہ ان پر فضل و احسان کرنا مقصود تھا۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ کَلَّتِ الْعِبَارَۃُ عَنْ بُلُوْغِ مِدْحَتِکَ وَہَفَتِ الْاَلْسُنُ عَنْ نَشْرِ مَحَامِدِکَ وَتَفَضُّلِکَ وَقَدْ تَعَمَّدْتُکَ بِقَصْدِیْ اِلَیْکَ وَاِنْ اَحَاطَتْ بِیَ الذُّنُوْبُ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ وَاَنْتَ اَکْرَمُ الْاَکْرَمِیْنَ وَاَجْوَدُ الْاَجْوَدِیْنَ وَاَنْعَمُ الرَّازِقِیْنَ وَاَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِیْنَ الْاَوَّلُ الْاٰخِرُ الظَّاہِرُ الْبَاطِنُ اَجَلُّ وَاَعَزُّ وَاَرْئَفُ وَاَکْرَمُ مِنْ اَنْ تَرُدَّ مَنْ اَمَّلَکَ وَرَجَاکَ وَطَمِعَ فِیْمَا عِنْدَکَ فَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ یَا اَہْلَ الْحَمْدِ۔
Allaahumma kallati al-'ibaaratu 'an bulooghi midhatika wahafati al-alsunu 'an nashri mahaamidika watafaddulika waqad ta'ammadtuka biqasdee ilayka wa-in ahaatat biya az-zunoobu wa-anta arhamu ar-raahimeena wa-anta akramu al-akrameena wa-ajwadu al-ajwadeena wa-an'amu ar-raaziqeena wa-ahsanu al-khaaliqeena al-awwalu al-aakhiru az-zaahiru al-baatinu ajallu wa-a'azzu wa-ar'afu wa-akramu min an tarudda man ammalaka warajaaka watami'a feemaa 'indaka falaka al-hamdu yaa ahla al-hamd.
O Allah! Words fall short of reaching Your praise, and tongues falter at spreading Your praises and Your favour. I have deliberately made my way to You, though sins surround me; and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful, the Most Generous of the generous, the Most Bountiful of the bountiful, the best of providers and the best of creators, the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden, too majestic, too mighty, too kind and too generous to turn away one who has placed his expectation and hope in You and longed for what is with You. So Yours is the praise, O You Who are worthy of praise!
خداوندا! تیری مدح میں عبارتیں کوتاہ اور تیری ثنا گستری اور احسان شماری کے لئے زبانیں گنگ ہیں۔ خداوندا! میں ارادہ کر کے تیرے حضور میں آیا ہوں، حالانکہ گناہوں نے مجھے گھیر رکھا ہے، مگر تو سب سے بڑا مہربان، سب سے زیادہ مکرم، تمام سخی افراد سے بڑا سخی، تمام روزی دینے والوں سے بڑا منعم، تمام خالقوں سے بڑا خالق ہے، اوّل بھی، آخر بھی، ظاہر بھی ہے باطن بھی، بہت معزّز اور بیحد مہربان ہے۔ تو اس سے بہت بلند ہے کہ اپنے اُمیدوار و آرزو مند اور تیرے حضور سے خواہشیں وابستہ کرنے والے کو نا کام واپس کر دے، اے مستحق حمد تمام تعریفیں تیرے ہی لئے ہیں۔
اِلٰہِیْ اِنِّیْ جُرْتُ عَلٰی نَفْسِیْ فِی النَّظَرِ لَہَا وَسَالَمْتُ الْاَیَّامَ بِاِقْتِرَافِ الْاٰثَامِ وَاَنْتَ وَلِیُّ الْاَنْعَامِ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِکْرَامِ فَمَا بَقِیَ اِلَّا نَظَرُکَ لَہَا فَاجْعَلْ مَرَدَّہَا مِنْکَ بِالنَّجَاحِ وَاَجْمِلِ النَّظَرَ مِنْکَ لَہَا بِالْفَلَاحِ فَاَنْتَ الْمُعْطِیْ النَّفَّاحُ ذُو الْاٰلَآءِ وَالنِّعَمِ وَالسَّمَاحِ یَا فَالِقَ الْاِصْبَاحِ اِمْنَحْہَا سُؤْلَہَا وَاِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَحِقْ یَا غَفَّارُ۔
Ilaahee innee jurtu 'alaa nafsee fee an-nazari lahaa wasaalamtu al-ayyaama bi-iqtiraafi al-aathaami wa-anta waliyyu al-an'aami zoo al-jalaali wal-ikraami famaa baqiya illaa nazaruka lahaa faj'al maraddahaa minka bin-najaahi wa-ajmili an-nazara minka lahaa bil-falaahi fa-anta al-mu'tee an-naffaahu zoo al-aalaa'i wan-ni'ami was-samaahi yaa faaliqa al-isbaahi imnahhaa su'lahaa wa-in lam tastahiq yaa ghaffaar.
My God! I have wronged my soul in looking after it, and passed my days at ease in committing sins; and You are the Master of blessings, the Possessor of majesty and honour. Nothing remains for it but Your regard; so make its return from You a success, and make Your regard for it fair, bringing it prosperity. For You are the Giver, the Bountiful, the Possessor of favours, blessings and generosity. O Cleaver of the dawn! Grant it its request, even if it does not deserve it, O All-Forgiving!
میرے معبود! اگر میں نے اپنے نفس پر توجہ کرنے میں غفلت برتی، اور زندگی کے دنوں کو گناہگاری کے لئے سازگار بنا لیا، تب بھی تو مالک انعام، صاحبِ جلال و اعزاز ہے، اس نفس کے لئے تیری توجہ تو بہرحال باقی ہے، اب اس نفس کی اپنی بارگاہ سے واپسی کو کامیاب اور اپنی بہترین توجہ فرمائی سے کامران بنا دے، کیونکہ توہی عطا کرنے والا، کرم نواز، صاحبِ نعمت و سخاوت ہے۔ اے صبحوں کو روشن کرنے والے، اس دل کی تمنائیں مستحق نہ ہونے کے باوجود عطا فرما، اے بہت زیادہ مغفرت کرنے والے۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْئَلُکَ بِاِسْمِکَ الَّذِیْ تَمْضِیْ بِہِ الْمَقَادِیْرُ وَبِعِزَّتِکَ الَّتِیْ تَتِمُّ بِہَا التَّدَابِیْرُ اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَتَرْزُقَنِیْ رِزْقًا وَاسِعًا حَلَالًا طَیِّبًا مِنْ فَضْلِکَ وَاَنْ لَا تَحُوْلَ بَیْنِیْ وَبَیْنَ مَا یُقَرِّبُنِیْ مِنْکَ یَا حَنَّانُ یَا مَنَّانُ وَاَدْرِجْنِیْ فِیْمَنْ اَبَحْتَ لَہُمْ مِنْ غُفْرَانِکَ وَعَفْوِکَ وَرِضَاکَ وَاَسْکَنْتَہٗ جَنَّاتِکَ بِرَاْفَتِکَ وَطَوْلِکَ۔
Allaahumma innee as'aluka bi-ismika allazee tamdee bihi al-maqaadeeru wabi'izzatika allatee tatimmu bihaa at-tadaabeeru an tusalliya 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin watarzuqanee rizqan waasi'an halaalan tayyiban min fadlika wa-an laa tahoola baynee wabayna maa yuqarribunee minka yaa hannaanu yaa mannaanu wa-adrijnee feeman abahta lahum min ghufraanika wa'afwika waridaaka wa-askantahoo jannaatika bira'fatika watawlik.
O Allah! I ask You by Your Name through which the decrees take effect, and by Your might through which all plans are completed, to send blessings upon Mohammad (s.a.w.a) and the Progeny (a.s) of Mohammad, to grant me a vast, lawful and good sustenance from Your bounty, and not to come between me and what brings me near to You, O Tender One, O Bestower of favours! And enter me among those to whom You have granted Your forgiveness, Your pardon and Your good pleasure, and whom You have settled in Your gardens by Your kindness and Your bounty.
خداوندا! میں تیرے اس نام کے ذریعے سوال کرتا ہوں جس سے تقدیریں جاری ہوتی ہیں، تیری اس عزّت کے واسطے سے عرض ہے جس کی برکت سے تدبیریں مکمل ہوتی ہیں۔ حضرت محمدؐ و آلِ محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما، اور مجھے اپنے فضل سے وسیع و حلال و طیّب روزی مرحمت فرما، اے مہربان و کرم گستر میرے اور اپنے حضور میں تقرّب عطا کرنے والی چیزوں میں رکاوٹ نہ ہونے دے۔ مجھے اُن لوگوں کا درجہ مرحمت فرما، جن کے لئے اپنی مغفرت و معافی، رضا مندی کو عام کیا، اور اپنے رحم و کرم سے اپنی جنتوں میں جگہ دی ہے۔
اِلٰہِیْ اَنْتَ اَکْرَمْتَ اَوْلِیَآئِکَ بِکَرَامَاتِکَ فَاَوْجَدْتَ لَہُمْ حِیَاطَتَکَ وَاَظْلَلْتَہُمْ بِرِعَایَتِکَ مِنَ التَّتَابُعِ فِی الْمَہٰلِکَ وَاَنَا عَبْدُکَ فَاَنْقِذْنِیْ وَاَلْبِسْنِی الْعَافِیَۃَ وَاِلٰی طَاعَتِکَ اَقْبِلْنِیْ وَعَنْ طُغْیَانِکَ وَمَعْصِیَتِکَ فَرُدَّنِیْ فَقَدْ عَجَّتْ اِلَیْکَ الْاَصْوَاتُ بِضُرُوْبِ اللُّغَاتِ یَسْئَلُوْنَکَ الْحَاجَاتِ تُرْتَجٰی لِمَحْقِ الْعُیُوْبِ وَاَنْتَ عَالِمُ الْخَفِیَّاتِ۔
Ilaahee anta akramta awliyaa'ika bikaraamaatika fa-awjadta lahum hiyaatataka wa-azlaltahum biri'aayatika mina at-tataabu'i fee al-mahaalika wa-anaa 'abduka fa-anqiznee wal-bisnee al-'aafiyata wa-ilaa taa'atika aqbilnee wa'an tughyaanika wama'siyatika faruddanee faqad 'ajjat ilayka al-aswaatu biduroobi al-lughaati yas'aloonaka al-haajaati turtajaa limahqi al-'uyoobi wa-anta 'aalimu al-khafiyyaat.
My God! You have honoured Your friends with Your marks of honour, provided them with Your protection and shaded them with Your care from falling headlong into perils; and I am Your servant, so rescue me, clothe me in well-being, turn me towards obeying You and turn me back from rebellion and disobedience against You. Voices have clamoured to You in every kind of language, asking You for their needs, hoping for the effacing of faults, and You are the Knower of hidden things.
میرے معبود! تونے اپنے اولیا کو اپنی کرامتوں سے سرفراز فرما کر اپنی حفاظتیں ان کے لئے لازم کر دیا، انہیں ہلاکتوں سے بچانے کے لئے اپنی نگہداشت کے سائے میں لے لیا، میں بھی تیرا بندہٴ ناچیز ہوں مجھے نجات عطا فرما عافیت کا خلعت، اور اپنی فرمانبرداری کی طرف توجہ، اپنی بارگاہ سے میری سرکشی و سرتابی روکنے کی توفیق کرامت کر، کیونکہ طرح طرح کی بولیوں میں زبانیں چیخ رہی ہیں، اپنی ضرورتیں طلب کر رہی ہیں، اپنے عیب مٹانے کی امیدیں لگائے ہیں، کیونکہ توہی پوشیدہ باتوں سے باخبر ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
