Tawassul I-Mahdi (a)-2
توسل امام مہدی (ع)۔۲
One of the shortest supplications in the library, and among the best known — a call by name rather than a request in sentences: “O Allah, O Muhammad, O Ali, O Fatima, O Master of the Age — take me into your care, and do not destroy me.”
It is a tawassul: the reciter comes to Allah through those He honoured, naming the Prophet (s), Amir al-Mu’minin (a), Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (s) and the living Imam. Its brevity is the point — it is meant to be reachable at a moment when nothing longer can be.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
يَا اَللهُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِيُّ يَا فَاطِمَةُ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ، اَدْرِكْنِيْ وَ لَا تُهْلِكْنِيْ۔
Yaa allaaho yaa mohammado yaa aliyyo yaa faatemato yaa saahebaz-zamaane, adrik-nee walaa tohlik-nee.
O Allah, O Muhammad, O Ali, O Fatimah, O the leader of the time, take me over and don’t destroy me.
اے اللہ! اے محمدؐ، اے علیؑ، اے فاطمہؑ، اے امام زمانہ (عج) مجھ تک پہنچے اور مجھے ہلاکت سے بچائے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
