Surah Waaqe’a (56, 96 ayat)سورۂ واقعہ

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

When the great event comes to pass

جب قیامت برپا ہو گی۔

There is no belying its coming to pass-

اور اس کے قائم ہونے میں ذرا بھی جھوٹ نہیں ہے۔

Abasing (one party), exalting (the other)

وہ الٹ پلٹ کر دینے والی ہو گی۔

When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking

جب زمین کو زبردست جھٹکے لگیں گے۔

And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling

اور پہاڑ بالکل چور چور ہو جائیں گے۔

So that they shall be as scattered dust.

پھر ذرّات بن کر منتشر ہو جائیں گے۔

And you shall be three sorts.

اور تم تین گروہ ہو جاؤ گے۔

Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand!

پھر داہنے ہاتھ والے اور کیا کہنا داہنے ہاتھ والوں کا۔

And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand!

اور بائیں ہاتھ والے اور کیا پوچھنا ہے بائیں ہاتھ والوں کا۔

And the foremost are the foremost

اور سبقت کرنے والے تو سبقت کرنے والے ہی ہیں۔

These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah)

وہی اللہ کی بارگاہ کے مقرب ہیں۔

In the gardens of bliss.

نعمتوں بھری جنتوں میں ہوں گے۔

A numerous company from among the first

بہت سے لوگ اگلے لوگوں میں سے ہوں گے۔

And a few from among the latter.

اور کچھ آخر دور کے ہوں گے۔

On thrones decorated

موتی اور یاقوت سے جڑے ہوئے تختوں پر۔

Reclining on them, facing one another.

ایک دوسرے کے سامنے تکیہ لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے۔

Round about them shall go youths never altering in age

ان کے گرد ہمیشہ نوجوان رہنے والے بچے گردش کر رہے ہوں گے۔

With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink;

پیالے اور ٹونٹی دار کنٹر اور شراب کے جام لئے ہوئے ہوں گے۔

They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted

جس سے نہ درد سر پیدا ہو گا اور نہ ہوش و حواس گم ہوں گے۔

And fruits such as they choose

اور ان کی پسند کے میوے لئے ہوں گے۔

And the flesh of fowl such as they desire.

اور ان پرندوں کا گوشت جس کی انہیں خواہش ہو گی۔

And pure, beautiful ones

اور کشادہ چشم حوریں ہوں گی۔

The like of the hidden pearls:

جیسے سر بستہ موتی۔

A reward for what they used to do.

یہ سب در حقیقت ان کے اعمال کی جزا اور اس کا انعام ہو گا۔

They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse

وہاں نہ کوئی لغویات سنیں گے اور نہ گناہ کی باتیں۔

Except the word peace, peace.

صرف ہر طرف سلام ہی سلام ہو گا۔

And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand!

اور داہنی طرف والے اصحاب، کیا کہنا ان اصحابِ یمین کا۔

Amid thornless lote-trees

بے کانٹے کی بیر۔

And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another.

لدے گتھے ہوئے کیلے۔

And extended shade

پھیلے ہوئے سائے۔

And water flowing constantly

جھرنے سے گرتے ہوئے پانی۔

And abundant fruit

کثیر تعداد کے میوؤں کے درمیان ہوں گے۔

Neither intercepted nor forbidden

جن کا سلسلہ نہ ختم ہو گا اور نہ ان پر کوئی روک ٹوک ہو گی۔

And exalted thrones.

اور اونچے قسم کے گدے ہوں گے۔

Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth

بےشک ان حوروں کو ہم نے ایجاد کیا ہے

Then We have made them virgins

تو انہیں نت نئی (مختلف) بنایا ہے۔

Loving, equals in age

یہ کنواریاں اور آپس میں ہمجولیاں ہوں گی۔

For the sake of the companions of the right hand.

یہ سب اصحابِ یمین کے لئے ہیں۔

A numerous company from among the first

جن کا ایک گروہ پہلے لوگوں کا ہے۔

And a numerous company from among the last.

اور ایک گروہ آخری لوگوں کا ہے۔

And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand!

اور بائیں ہاتھ والے تو ان کا کیا پوچھنا ہے۔

In hot wind and boiling water

گرم گرم ہوا کھولتا ہوا پانی۔

And the shade of black smoke

کالے سیاہ دھوئیں کا سایہ۔

Neither cool nor honorable.

جو نہ ٹھنڈا ہو اور نہ اچھا لگے۔

Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty.

یہ وہی لوگ ہیں جو پہلے بہت آرام کی زندگی گزار رہے تھے۔

And they persisted in the great violation.

اور بڑے بڑے گناہوں پر اصرار کر رہے تھے۔

And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised?

اور کہتے تھے کہ کیا جب ہم مرجائیں گے اور خاک اور ہڈی ہو جائیں گے تو ہمیں دوبارہ اٹھایا جائے گا۔

Or our fathers of yore?

کیا ہمارے باپ دادا بھی اٹھائے جائیں گے۔

Say: The first and the last

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اولین و آخرین سب کے سب۔

Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day.

ایک مقرر دن کی وعدہ گاہ پر جمع کئے جائیں گے۔

Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie!

اس کے بعد تم اے گمراہو اور جھٹلانے والو۔

Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom

تھوہڑ کے درخت کے کھانے والے ہو گے۔

And fill (your) bellies with it;

پھر اس سے اپنے پیٹ بھرو گے۔

Then drink over it of boiling water;

پھر اس پر کھولتا ہوا پانی پیو گے۔

And drink as drinks the thirsty camel.

پھر اس طرح پیو گے جس طرح پیاسے اونٹ پیتے ہیں۔

This is their entertainment on the day of requital.

یہ قیامت کے دن ان کی مہمان داری کا سامان ہو گا۔

We have created you, why do you not then assent?

ہم نے تم کو پیدا کیا ہے تو دوبارہ پیدا کرنے کی تصدیق کیوں نہیں کرتے۔

Have you considered the seed?

کیا تم نے اس نطفہ کو دیکھا ہے جو رحم میں ڈالتے ہو۔

Is it you that create it or are We the creators?

اسے تم پیدا کرتے ہو یا ہم پیدا کرنے والے ہیں۔

We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome

ہم نے تمہارے درمیان موت کو مقدر کر دیا ہے اور ہم اس بات سے عاجز نہیں ہیں۔

In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not.

کہ تم جیسے اور لوگ پیدا کر دیں اور تمہیں اس عالم میں دوبارہ ایجاد کر دیں جسے تم جانتے بھی نہیں ہو۔

And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?

اور تم پہلی خلقت کو تو جانتے ہو تو پھر اس میں غور کیوں نہیں کرتے ہو۔

Have you considered what you sow?

اس دانے کو بھی دیکھا ہے جو تم زمین میں بوتے ہو۔

Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth?

اسے تم اگاتے ہو یا ہم اگانے والے ہیں۔

If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin to lament:

اگر ہم چاہیں تو اسے چور چور بنا دیں تو تم باتیں ہی بناتے رہ جاؤ۔

Surely we are burdened with debt:

کہ ہم تو بڑے گھاٹے میں رہے۔

Nay! we are deprived.

بلکہ ہم تو محروم ہی رہ گئے۔

Have you considered the water which you drink?

کیا تم نے اس پانی کو دیکھا ہے جس کو تم پیتے ہو۔

Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders?

اسے تم نے بادل سے برسایا ہے یا اس کے برسانے والے ہم ہیں۔

If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks?

اگر ہم چاہتے تو اسے کھارا بنا دیتے تو پھر تم ہمارا شکریہ کیوں نہیں ادا کرتے ہو۔

Have you considered the fire which you strike?

کیا تم نے اس آگ کو دیکھا ہے جسے لکڑی سے نکالتے ہو۔

Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers?

اس کے درخت کو تم نے پیدا کیا ہے یا ہم اس کے پیدا کرنے والے ہیں۔

We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.

ہم نے اسے یاد دہانی کا ذریعہ اور مسافروں کے لئے نفع کا سامان قرار دیا ہے۔

Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.

اب آپ اپنے عظیم پروردگار کے نام کی تسبیح کریں۔

But nay! I swear by the falling of stars;

اور میں تو تاروں کے منازل کی قسم کھا کر کہتا ہوں۔

And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew;

اور تم جانتے ہو کہ یہ قسم بہت بڑی قسم ہے۔

Most surely it is an honored Quran

یہ بڑا محترم قرآن ہے۔

In a book that is protected

جسے ایک پوشیدہ کتاب میں رکھا گیا ہے۔

None shall touch it save the purified ones.

اسے پاک و پاکیزہ افراد کے علاوہ کوئی چھو بھی نہیں سکتا ہے۔

A revelation by the Lord of the worlds.

یہ رب العالمین کی طرف سے نازل کیا گیا ہے۔

Do you then hold this announcement in contempt?

تو کیا تم لوگ اس کلام سے انکار کرتے ہو۔

And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence.

اور تم نے اپنی روزی یہی قرار دے رکھی ہے کہ اس کا انکار کرتے رہو۔

Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat

پھر ایسا کیوں نہیں ہوتا کہ جب جان گلے تک پہنچ جائے۔

And you at that time look on-

اور تم اس وقت دیکھتے ہی رہ جاؤ۔

And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-

اور ہم تمہاری نسبت مرنے والے سے قریب ہیں مگر تم دیکھ نہیں سکتے ہو۔

Then why is it not- if you are not held under authority-

پس اگر تم کسی کے دباؤ میں نہیں ہو اور بالکل آزاد ہو۔

That you send it (not) back- if you are truthful?

تو اس روح کو کیوں نہیں پلٹا دیتے ہو اگر اپنی بات میں سچے ہو۔

Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah)

پھر اگر مرنے والا مقربین میں سے ہے۔

Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss.

تو اس کے لئے آسائش، خوشبو دار پھول اور نعمتوں کے باغات ہیں۔

And if he is one of those on the right hand

اور اگر اصحابِ یمین میں سے ہے۔

Then peace to you from those on the right hand.

تو اصحابِ یمین کی طرف سے تمہارے لئے سلام ہے

And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones

اور اگر جھٹلانے والوں اور گمراہوں میں سے ہے۔

He shall have an entertainment of boiling water

تو کھولتے ہوئے پانی کی مہمانی ہے۔

And burning in hell.

اور جہنّم میں جھونک دینے کی سزا ہے۔

Most surely this is a certain truth.

یہی وہ بات ہے جو بالکل برحق اور یقینی ہے۔

Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.

لہذا اپنے عظیم پروردگار کے نام کی تسبیح کرتے رہو۔

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
