Juz 28 (Sipara)جز (سیپارہ)-۲۸

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Allah indeed knows the plea of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to Allah, and Allah knows the contentions of both of you; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.

بےشک اللہ نے اس عورت کی بات سن لی جو تم سے اپنے شوہر کے بارے میں بحث کر رہی تھی اور اللہ سے فریاد کر رہی تھی اور اللہ تم دونوں کی باتیں سن رہا تھا کہ وہ سب کچھ سننے والا اور دیکھنے والا ہے۔

(As for) those of you who put away their wives by likening their backs to the backs of their mothers, they are not their mothers; their mothers are no others than those who gave them birth; and most surely they utter a hateful word and a falsehood and most surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

جو لوگ اپنی عورتوں سے ظہار کرتے ہیں ان کی عورتیں ان کی مائیں نہیں ہیں، مائیں تو صرف وہ عورتیں ہیں جنہوں نے پیدا کیا ہے، اور یہ لوگ یقینًا بہت بری اور جھوٹی بات کہتے ہیں اور اللہ بہت معاف کرنے والا اور بخشنے والا ہے۔

And (as for) those who put away their wives by likening their backs to the backs of their mothers then would recall what they said, they should free a captive before they touch each other; to that you are admonished (to conform); and Allah is Aware of what you do.

جو لوگ تم میں سے اپنی عورتوں سے ظہار کریں اور پھر اپنی بات سے پلٹنا چاہیں انہیں چاہئے کہ عورت کو ہاتھ لگانے سے پہلے ایک غلام آزاد کریں کہ یہ خدا کی طرف سے تمہارے لئے نصیحت ہے اور خدا تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

But whoever has not the means, let him fast for two months successively before they touch each other; then as for him who is not able, let him feed sixty needy ones; that is in order that you may have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and these are Allah’s limits, and the unbelievers shall have a painful punishment.

پھر کسی شخص کے لئے غلام ممکن نہ ہو تو آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو مس کرنے سے پہلے دو مہینے کے مسلسل روزے رکھے پھر یہ بھی ممکن نہ ہو تو ساٹھ مسکینوں کو کھانا کھلائے یہ اس لئے تاکہ تم خدا و رسول پر صحیح ایمان رکھو اور یہ اللہ کے مقرر کردہ حدود ہیں اور کافروں کے لئے بڑا درد ناک عذاب ہے۔

Surely those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle shall be laid down prostrate as those before them were laid down prostrate; and indeed We have revealed clear communications, and the unbelievers shall have an abasing chastisement.

بےشک جو لوگ خدا و رسول سے دشمنی کرتے ہیں وہ ویسے ہی ذلیل ہوں گے جیسے ان سے پہلے والے ذلیل ہوئے ہیں اور ہم نے کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں نازل کر دی ہیں اور کافروں کے لئے رسوا کن عذاب ہے۔

On the day when Allah will raise them up all together, then inform them of what they did: Allah has recorded it while they have forgotten it; and Allah is a witness of all things.

جس دن خدا سب کو زندہ کرے گا اور انہیں ان کے اعمال سے باخبر کرے گا جسے اس نے محفوظ کر رکھا ہے اور ان لوگوں نے خود بھلا دیا ہے اور اللہ ہر شے کی نگرانی کرنے والا ہے۔

Do you not see that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth? Nowhere is there a secret counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them, nor (between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor more but He is with them wheresoever they are; then He will inform them of what they did on the day of resurrection: surely Allah is Cognizant of all things.

کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے ہو کہ اللہ زمین و آسمان کی ہر شے سے باخبر ہے، کہیں بھی تین آدمیوں کے درمیان راز کی بات نہیں ہوتی ہے مگر یہ کہ وہ ان کا چوتھا ہوتا ہے اور پانچ کی راز داری ہوتی ہے تو وہ ان کا چھٹا ہوتا ہے اور کم و بیش بھی کوئی راز داری ہوتی ہے تو وہ ان کے ساتھ ضرور رہتا ہے چاہے وہ کہیں بھی رہیں اس کے بعد روزِ قیامت انہیں باخبر کرے گا کہ انہوں نے کیا کیا ہے کہ بےشک وہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے۔

Have you not seen those who are forbidden secret counsels, then they return to what they are forbidden, and they hold secret counsels for sin and revolt and disobedience to the Apostle, and when they come to you they greet you with a greeting with which Allah does not greet you, and they say in themselves: Why does not Allah punish us for what we say? Hell is enough for them; they shall enter it, and evil is the resort.

کیا تم نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا جنہیں راز کی باتوں سے منع کیا گیا لیکن وہ پھر بھی ایسی باتیں کرتے ہیں اور گناہ اور ظلم اور رسول کی نا فرمانی کے ساتھ راز کی باتیں کرتے ہیں اور جب تمہارے پاس آتے ہیں تو اس طرح مخاطب کرتے ہیں جس طرح خدا نے انہیں نہیں سکھایا ہے اور اپنے دل ہی دل میں کہتے ہیں کہ ہم غلطی پر ہیں تو خدا ہماری باتوں پر عذاب کیوں نہیں نازل کرتا۔ حالانکہ ان کے لئے جہنّم ہی کافی ہے جس میں انہیں جلنا ہے اور وہ بدترین انجام ہے۔

O you who believe! when you confer together in private, do not give to each other counsel of sin and revolt and disobedience to the Apostle, and give to each other counsel of goodness and guarding (against evil); and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, to Whom you shall be gathered together.

ایمان والو جب بھی راز کی باتیں کرو تو خبردار گناہ اور تعدی اور رسول کی نا فرمانی کے ساتھ نہ کرنا بلکہ نیکی اور تقویٰ کے ساتھ باتیں کرنا اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہنا کہ بالآخر اسی کی طرف پلٹ کر جانا ہے۔

Secret counsels are only (the work) of the Shaitan that he may cause to grieve those who believe, and he cannot hurt them in the least except with Allah’s permission, and on Allah let the believers rely.

یہ راز داری شیطان کی طرف سے صاحبانِ ایمان کو دکھ پہنچانے کے لئے ہوتی ہے حالانکہ وہ انہیں نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتا ہے جب تک خدا اجازت نہ دے دے اور صاحبانِ ایمان کا بھروسہ صرف اللہ پر ہوتا ہے۔

O you who believe! when it is said to you, Make room in (your) assemblies, then make ample room, Allah will give you ample, and when it is said: Rise up, then rise up. Allah will exalt those of you who believe, and those who are given knowledge, in high degrees; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

ایمان والو جب تم سے مجلس میں وسعت پیدا کرنے کے لئے کہا جائے تو دوسروں کو جگہ دے دو تاکہ خدا تمہیں جنّت میں وسعت دے سکے اور جب تم سے کہا جائے کہ اُٹھ جاؤ تو اُٹھ جاؤ کہ خدا صاحبانِ ایمان اور جن کو علم دیا گیا ہے ان کے درجات کو بلند کرنا چاہتا ہے اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

O you who believe! when you consult the Apostle, then offer something in charity before your consultation; that is better for you and purer; but if you do not find, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

ایمان والو جب بھی رسول سے کوئی راز کی بات کرو تو پہلے صدقہ نکال دو کہ یہی تمہارے حق میں بہتری اور پاکیزگی کی بات ہے پھر اگر صدقہ ممکن نہ ہو تو خدا بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

Do you fear that you will not (be able to) give in charity before your consultation? So when you do not do it and Allah has turned to you (mercifully), then keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and obey Allah and His Apostle; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

کیا تم اس بات سے ڈر گئے ہو کہ اپنی راز دارانہ باتوں سے پہلے خیرات نکال دو اب جب کہ تم نے ایسا نہیں کیا ہے اور خدا نے تمہاری توبہ قبول کر لی ہے تو اب نماز قائم کرو اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرو اور اللہ و رسول کی اطاعت کرو کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

Have you not seen those who befriend a people with whom Allah is wroth? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear falsely while they know.

کیا تم نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا ہے جنہوں نے اس قوم سے دوستی کر لی ہے جس پر خدا نے عذاب نازل کیا ہے یہ نہ تم میں سے ہیں اور نہ ان میں سے اور یہ جھوٹی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں اور خود بھی اپنے جھوٹ سے باخبر ہیں۔

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; surely what they do is evil.

اللہ نے ان کے لئے سخت عذاب مہیّا کر رکھا ہے کہ یہ بہت برے اعمال کر رہے تھے۔

They make their oaths to serve as a cover so they turn away from Allah’s way; therefore they shall have an abasing chastisement.

انہوں نے اپنی قسموں کو سپر بنا لیا ہے اور راہِ خدا میں رکاوٹ ڈال رہے ہیں تو ان کے لئے رسوا کرنے والا عذاب ہے۔

Neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them aught against Allah; they are the inmates of the fire, therein they shall abide.

اللہ کے مقابلہ میں ان کا مال اور ان کی اولاد کوئی کام آنے والا نہیں ہے یہ سب جہنّمی ہیں اور وہیں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں۔

On the day that Allah will raise them up all, then they will swear to Him as they swear to you, and they think that they have something; now surely they are the liars.

جس دن خدا ان سب کو دوبارہ زندہ کرے گا اور یہ اس سے بھی ایسی ہی قسمیں کھائیں گے جیسی تم سے کھاتے ہیں اور ان کا خیال ہو گا کہ ان کے پاس کوئی بات ہے حالانکہ یہ بالکل جھوٹے ہیں۔

The Shaitan has gained the mastery over them, so he has made them forget the remembrance of Allah; they are the Shaitan’s party; now surely the Shaitan’s party are the losers.

ان پر شیطان غالب آگیا ہے اور اس نے انہیں ذکرِ خدا سے غافل کر دیا ہے آگاہ ہو جاؤ کہ یہ شیطان کا گروہ ہیں اور شیطان کا گروہ بہرحال خسارہ میں رہنے والا ہے۔

Surely (as for) those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle; they shall be among the most abased.

بےشک جو لوگ خدا و رسول سے دشمنی کرتے ہیں ان کا شمار ذلیل ترین لوگوں میں ہے۔

Allah has written down: I will most certainly prevail, I and My apostles; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.

اللہ نے یہ لکھ دیا ہے کہ میں اور میرے رسول غالب آنے والے ہیں بےشک اللہ صاحبِ قوت اور صاحبِ عزّت ہے۔

You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him; these are Allah’s party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.

آپ کبھی نہ دیکھیں گے کہ جو قوم اللہ اور روزِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھنے والی ہے وہ ان لوگوں سے دوستی کر رہی ہے جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے دشمنی کرنے والے ہیں چاہے وہ ان کے باپ دادا یا اولاد یا برادران یا عشیرہ اور قبیلہ والے ہی کیوں نہ ہوں، اللہ نے صاحبانِ ایمان کے دلوں میں ایمان لکھ دیا ہے اور ان کی اپنی خاص روح کے ذریعہ تائید کی ہے اور وہ انہیں ان جنّتوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی اور وہ ان ہی میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہوں گے۔ خدا ان سے راضی ہو گا اور وہ خدا سے راضی ہوں گے یہی لوگ اللہ کا گروہ ہیں اور آگاہ ہو جاؤ کہ اللہ کا گروہ ہی نجات پانے والا ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اللہ ہی کے لئے محو تسبیح ہے جو کچھ بھی زمین و آسمان میں ہے اور وہی صاحبِ عزّت اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

He it is Who caused those who disbelieved of the followers of the Book to go forth from their homes at the first banishment; you did not think that they would go forth, while they were certain that their fortresses would defend them against Allah; but Allah came to them whence they did not expect, and cast terror into their hearts; they demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers; therefore take a lesson, O you who have eyes!

وہی وہ ہے جس نے اہل کتاب کے کافروں کو پہلے ہی حشر میں ان کے وطن سے نکال باہر کیا تم تو اس کا تصوّر بھی نہیں کر رہے تھے کہ یہ نکل سکیں گے اور ان کا بھی یہی خیال تھا کہ ان کے قلعے انہیں خدا سے بچا لیں گے لیکن خدا ایسے رخ سے پیش آیا جس کا انہیں وہم و گمان بھی نہیں تھا اور ان کے دلوں میں رعب پیدا کر دیا کہ وہ اپنے گھروں کو خود اپنے ہاتھوں سے اور صاحبانِ ایمان کے ہاتھوں سے اجاڑ نے لگے تو صاحبانِ نظر عبرت حاصل کرو۔

And had it not been that Allah had decreed for them the exile, He would certainly have punished them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have chastisement of the fire.

اور اگر خدا نے ان کے حق میں جلاوطنی نہ لکھ دی ہوتی تو ان پر دنیا ہی میں عذاب نازل کر دیتا اور آخرت میں تو جہنّم کا عذاب طے ہی ہے۔

That is because they acted in opposition to Allah and His Apostle, and whoever acts in opposition to Allah, then surely Allah is severe in retributing (evil).

یہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے اللہ اور رسول سے اختلاف کیا اور جو خدا سے اختلاف کرے اس کے حق میں خدا سخت عذاب کرنے والا ہے۔

Whatever palm-tree you cut down or leave standing upon its roots, it is by Allah’s command, and that He may abase the transgressors.

مسلمانو تم نے جو بھی کھجور کی شاخ کاٹی ہے یا اسے اس کی جڑوں پر رہنے دیا ہے یہ سب خدا کی اجازت سے ہوا ہے اور اس لئے تاکہ خدا فاسقین کو رسوا کرے۔

And whatever Allah restored to His Apostle from them, you did not press forward against it any horse or a riding camel, but Allah gives authority to His apostles against whom He pleases, and Allah has power over all things.

اور خدا نے جو کچھ ان کی طرف سے مالِ غنیمت اپنے رسول کو دلوایا ہے جس کے لئے تم نے گھوڑے یا اونٹ کے ذریعہ کوئی دوڑ دھوپ نہیں کی ہے، لیکن اللہ اپنے رسولوں کو غلبہ عنایت کرتا ہے اور وہ ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

Whatever Allah has restored to His Apostle from the people of the towns, it is for Allah and for the Apostle, and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, so that it may not be a thing taken by turns among the rich of you, and whatever the Apostle gives you, accept it, and from whatever he forbids you, keep back, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is severe in retributing (evil):

جو کچھ بھی اللہ نے اہل قریہ کی طرف سے اپنے رسول کو دلوایا ہے وہ سب اللہ، رسول اور رسول کے قرابتدار، ایتام، مساکین اور مسافران غربت زدہ کے لئے ہے تاکہ سارا مال صرف مالداروں کے درمیان گھوم پھر کر نہ رہ جائے اور جو کچھ بھی رسول تمہیں دے دے اسے لے لو اور جس چیز سے منع کر دے اس سے رک جاؤ اور اللہ سے ڈرو کہ اللہ سخت عذاب کرنے والا ہے۔

(It is) for the poor who fled their homes and their possessions, seeking grace of Allah and (His) pleasure, and assisting Allah and His Apostle: these it is that are the truthful.

یہ مال ان مہاجر فقراء کے لئے بھی ہے جنہیں ان کے گھروں اور اموال سے نکال باہر کر دیا گیا ہے اور وہ صرف خدا کے فضل اور اس کی مرضی کے طلب گار ہیں اور خدا و رسول کی مدد کرنے والے ہیں کہ یہی لوگ دعوائے ایمان میں سچے ہیں۔

And those who made their abode in the city and in the faith before them love those who have fled those who were driven from to them, and do not find in their hearts a need of what they are given, and prefer (them) before themselves though poverty may afflict them, and whoever is preserved from the niggardliness of his soul, these it is that are the successful ones.

اور جن لوگوں نے دار الہجرت اور ایمان کو ان سے پہلے اختیار کیا تھا وہ ہجرت کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتے ہیں اور جو کچھ انہیں دیا گیا ہے اپنے دلوں میں اس کی طرف سے کوئی ضرورت نہیں محسوس کرتے ہیں اور اپنے نفس پر دوسروں کو مقدم کرتے ہیں چاہے انہیں کتنی ہی ضرورت کیوں نہ ہو، اور جسے بھی اس کے نفس کی حرص سے بچا لیا جائے وہی لوگ نجات پانے والے ہیں۔

And those who come after them say: Our Lord! forgive us and those of our brethren who had precedence of us in faith, and do not allow any spite to remain in our hearts towards those who believe, our Lord! surely Thou art Kind, Merciful.

اور جو لوگ ان کے بعد آئے اور ان کا کہنا یہ ہے کہ خدایا ہمیں معاف کر دے اور ہمارے ان بھائیوں کو بھی جنہوں نے ایمان میں ہم پر سبقت کی ہے اور ہمارے دلوں میں صاحبانِ ایمان کے لئے کسی طرح کا کینہ نہ قرار دینا کہ تو بڑا مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Have you not seen those who have become hypocrites? They say to those of their brethren who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book: If you are driven forth, we shall certainly go forth with you, and we will never obey anyone concerning you, and if you are fought against, we will certainly help you, and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.

کیا تم نے منافقین کا حال نہیں دیکھا ہے کہ یہ اپنے اہل کتاب کافر بھائیوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر تمہیں نکال دیا گیا تو ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ نکل چلیں گے اور تمہارے بارے میں کسی کی اطاعت نہ کریں گے اور اگر تم سے جنگ کی گئی تو بھی ہم تمہاری مدد کریں گے اور خدا گواہ ہے کہ یہ سب بالکل جھوٹے ہیں۔

Certainly if these are driven forth, they will not go forth with them, and if they are fought against, they will not help them, and even if they help them, they will certainly turn (their) backs, then they shall not be helped.

وہ اگر نکال بھی دیئے گئے تو یہ ان کے ساتھ نہ نکلیں گے اور اگر ان سے جنگ کی گئی تو یہ ہرگز ان کی مدد نہ کریں گے اور اگر مدد بھی کریں گے تو پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ جائیں گے پھر ان کی کوئی مدد کرنے والا نہ ہو گا۔

You are certainly greater in being feared in their hearts than Allah; that is because they are a people who do not understand.

مسلمانو تم ان کے دلوں میں اللہ سے بھی زیادہ خوف رکھتے ہو یہ اس لئے کہ یہ قوم سمجھدار نہیں ہے۔

They will not fight against you in a body save in fortified towns or from behind walls; their fighting between them is severe, you may think them as one body, and their hearts are disunited; that is because they are a people who have no sense.

یہ کبھی تم سے اجتماعی طور پر جنگ نہ کریں گے مگر یہ کہ محفوظ بستیوں میں ہوں یا دیواروں کے پیچھے ہوں ان کی دھاک آپس میں بہت ہے اور تم یہ خیال کرتے ہو کہ یہ سب متّحد ہیں ہرگز نہیں ان کے دلوں میں سخت تفرقہ ہے اور یہ اس لئے کہ اس قوم کے پاس عقل نہیں ہے۔

Like those before them shortly; they tasted the evil result of their affair, and they shall have a painful punishment.

جس طرح کہ ابھی حال میں ان سے پہلے والوں کا حشر ہوا ہے کہ انہوں نے اپنے کام کے وبال کا مزہ چکھ لیا ہے اور پھر ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب بھی ہے۔

Like the Shaitan when he says to man: Disbelieve, but when he disbelieves, he says: I am surely clear of you; surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

ان کی مثال شیطان جیسی ہے کہ اس نے انسان سے کہا کہ کفر اختیار کر لے اور جب وہ کافر ہو گیا تو کہنے لگا کہ میں تجھ سے بیزار ہوں میں تو عالمین کے پروردگار سے ڈرتا ہوں۔

Therefore the end of both of them is that they are both in the fire to abide therein, and that is the reward of the unjust.

تو ان دونوں کا انجام یہ ہے کہ دونوں جہنّم میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں اور یہی ظالمین کی واقعی سزا ہے۔

O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah, and let every soul consider what it has sent on for the morrow, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Aware of what you do.

ایمان والو اللہ سے ڈرو اور ہر شخص یہ دیکھے کہ اس نے کل کے لئے کیا بھیج دیا ہے اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو کہ وہ یقینًا تمہارے اعمال سے باخبر ہے۔

And be not like those who forsook Allah, so He made them forsake their own souls: these it is that are the transgressors.

اور خبردار ان لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جانا جنہوں نے خدا کو بھلا دیا تو خدا نے خود ان کے نفس کو بھی بھلا دیا اور وہ سب واقعی فاسق اور بدکار ہیں۔

Not alike are the inmates of the fire and the dwellers of the garden: the dwellers of the garden are they that are the achievers.

اصحابِ جنّت اور اصحابِ جہنّم ایک جیسے نہیں ہو سکتے، اصحابِ جنّت وہی ہیں جو کامیاب ہونے والے ہیں۔

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and We set forth these parables to men that they may reflect.

ہم اگر اس قرآن کو کسی پہاڑ پر نازل کر دیتے تو تم دیکھتے کہ پہاڑ خوفِ خدا سے لرزاں اور ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوا جا رہا ہے اور ہم ان مثالوں کو انسانوں کے لئے اس لئے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ شاید وہ کچھ غور و فکر کر سکیں۔

He is Allah besides Whom there is no god; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; He is the Beneficent, the Merciful

وہ خدا وہ ہے جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اور وہ حاضر و غائب سب کا جاننے والا عظیم اور دائمی رحمتوں کا مالک ہے۔

He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god; the King, the Holy, the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Supreme, the Possessor of every greatness; Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him).

وہ اللہ وہ ہے جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے وہ بادشاہ، پاکیزہ صفات، بے عیب، امان دینے والا، نگرانی کرنے والا، صاحبِ عزّت، زبردست اور کبریائی کا مالک ہے، وہ ان تمام باتوں سے پاک و پاکیزہ ہے جو مشرکین کیا کرتے ہیں۔

He is Allah the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner; His are the most excellent names; whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares His glory; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

وہ ایسا خدا ہے جو پیدا کرنے والا، ایجاد کرنے والا اور صورتیں بنانے والا ہے اس کے لئے بہترین نام ہیں زمین و آسمان کا ہر ذرّہ اسی کے لئے محو تسبیح ہے اور وہ صاحبِ عزّت و حکمت ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O you who believe! do not take My enemy and your enemy for friends: would you offer them love while they deny what has come to you of the truth, driving out the Apostle and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord? If you go forth struggling hard in My path and seeking My pleasure, would you manifest love to them? And I know what you conceal and what you manifest; and whoever of you does this, he indeed has gone astray from the straight path.

ایمان والو خبردار میرے اور اپنے دشمنوں کو دوست مت بنانا کہ تم ان کی طرف دوستی کی پیش کش کرو جب کہ انہوں نے اس حق کا انکار کر دیا ہے جو تمہارے پاس آچکا ہے اور وہ رسول کو اور تم کو صرف اس بات پر نکال رہے ہیں کہ تم اپنے پروردگار (اللہ) پر ایمان رکھتے ہو، اگر تم واقعًا ہماری راہ میں جہاد اور ہماری مرضی کی تلاش میں گھر سے نکلے ہو تو ان سے خفیہ دوستی کس طرح کر رہے ہو جب کہ میں تمہارے ظاہر و باطن سب کو جانتا ہوں اور جو بھی تم میں سے ایسا اقدام کرے گا وہ یقینًا سیدھے راستہ سے بہک گیا ہے۔

If they find you, they will be your enemies, and will stretch forth towards you their hands and their tongues with evil, and they ardently desire that you may disbelieve.

یہ اگر تمہیں پا جائیں گے تو تمہارے دشمن ثابت ہوں گے اور تمہاری طرف برائی کے ارادے سے ہاتھ اور زبان سے اقدام کریں گے اور یہ چاہیں گے کہ تم بھی کافر ہو جاؤ۔

Your relationship would not profit you, nor your children on the day of resurrection; He will decide between you; and Allah sees what you do.

یقینًا تمہارے قرابتدار اور تمہاری اولاد روزِ قیامت کام آنے والی نہیں ہے اس دن خدا تمہارے درمیان فیصلہ کر دے گا اور وہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

Indeed, there is for you a good example in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people: Surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; we declare ourselves to be clear of you, and enmity and hatred have appeared between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone- but not in what Ibrahim said to his father: I would certainly ask forgiveness for you, and I do not control for you aught from Allah- Our Lord! on Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn, and to Thee is the eventual coming:

تمہارے لئے بہترین نمونہ عمل ابراہیمؑ اور ان کے ساتھیوں میں ہے جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہہ دیا کہ ہم تم سے اور تمہارے معبودوں سے بیزار ہیں، ہم نے تمہارا انکار کر دیا ہے اور ہمارے تمہارے درمیان بغض اور عداوت بالکل واضح ہے یہاں تک کہ تم خدائے وحدہ لاشریک پر ایمان لے آؤ علاوہ ابراہیمؑ کے اس قول کے جو انہوں نے اپنے مربّی باپ سے کہہ دیا تھا کہ میں تمہارے لئے استغفار ضرور کروں گا لیکن میں پروردگار کی طرف سے کوئی اختیار نہیں رکھتا ہوں، خدایا میں نے تیرے اوپر بھروسہ کیا ہے اور تیری ہی طرف رجوع کیا ہے اور تیری ہی طرف بازگشت بھی ہے۔

Our Lord! do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord! surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise.

خدایا مجھے کفاّر کے لئے فتنہ و بلا نہ قرار دینا اور مجھے بخش دینا کہ تو ہی صاحبِ عزّت اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

Certainly there is for you in them a good example, for him who fears Allah and the last day; and whoever turns back, then surely Allah is the Self-sufficient, the Praised.

بےشک تمہارے لئے ان لوگوں میں بہترین نمونہ عمل ہے اس شخص کے لئے جو اللہ اور روزِ آخرت کا امیدوار ہے اور جو انحراف کرے گا خدا اس سے بے نیاز اور قابل حمد و ثنا ہے۔

It may be that Allah will bring about friendship between you and those whom you hold to be your enemies among them; and Allah is Powerful; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

قریب ہے کہ خدا تمہارے اور جن سے تم نے دشمنی کی ہے ان کے درمیان دوستی قرار دے دے کہ وہ صاحبِ قدرت ہے اور بہت بڑا بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice.

وہ تمہیں ان لوگوں کے بارے میں جنہوں نے تم سے دین کے معاملہ میں جنگ نہیں کی ہے اور تمہیں وطن سے نہیں نکالا ہے اس بات سے نہیں روکتا ہے کہ تم ان کے ساتھ نیکی اور انصاف کرو کہ خدا انصاف کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے۔

Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust.

وہ تمہیں صرف ان لوگوں سے روکتا ہے جنہوں نے تم سے دین میں جنگ کی ہے اور تمہیں وطن سے نکال باہر کیا ہے اور تمہارے نکالنے پر دشمنوں کی مدد کی ہے کہ ان سے دوستی کرو اور جو ان سے دوستی کرے گا وہ یقینًا ظالم ہو گا۔

O you who believe! when believing women come to you flying, then examine them; Allah knows best their faith; then if you find them to be believing women, do not send them back to the unbelievers, neither are these (women) lawful for them, nor are those (men) lawful for them, and give them what they have spent; and no blame attaches to you in marrying them when you give them their dowries; and hold not to the ties of marriage of unbelieving women, and ask for what you have spent, and let them ask for what they have spent. That is Allah’s judgment; He judges between you, and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

ایمان والو جب تمہارے پاس ہجرت کرنے والی مومن عورتیں آئیں تو پہلے ان کا امتحان کرو کہ اللہ ان کے ایمان کو خوب جانتا ہے پھر اگر تم بھی دیکھو کہ یہ مومنہ ہیں توخبر دار انہیں کفاّر کی طرف واپس نہ کرنا۔ نہ وہ ان کے لئے حلال ہیں اور نہ یہ ان کے لئے حلال ہیں اور جو خرچہ کفاّر نے مہر کا دیا ہے وہ انہیں واپس کر دو اور تمہارے لئے کوئی حرج نہیں ہے کہ تم ان کی اجرت (مہر) دینے کے بعد ان سے نکاح کر لو اور خبردار کافر عورتوں کی عصمت پکڑ کر نہ رکھو اور جو تم نے خرچ کیا ہے وہ کفار سے لے لو اور جو انہوں نے خرچ کیا ہے وہ تم سے لے لیں کہ یہی حکم خدا ہے جس کا فیصلہ خدا نے تمہارے درمیان کیا ہے اور وہ بڑا صاحبِ علم و حکمت ہے۔

And if anything (out of the dowries) of your wives has passed away from you to the unbelievers, then your turn comes, give to those whose wives have gone away the like of what they have spent, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah in Whom you believe.

اور اگر تمہاری کوئی بیوی کفاّر کی طرف چلی جائے اور پھر تم ان کو سزا دو تو جن کی بیوی چلی گئی ہے ان کا خرچ مال غنیمت میں سے دے دو اور اس اللہ سے بہرحال ڈرتے رہو جس پر ایمان رکھنے والے ہو۔

O Prophet! when believing women come to you giving you a pledge that they will not associate aught with Allah, and will not steal, and will not commit fornication, and will not kill their children, and will not bring a calumny which they have forged of themselves, and will not disobey you in what is good, accept their pledge, and ask forgiveness for them from Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

پیغمبر اگر ایمان لانے والی عورتیں آپ کے پاس اس امر پر بیعت کرنے کے لئے آئیں کہ کسی کو خدا کا شریک نہیں بنائیں گی اور چوری نہیں کریں گی، زنا نہیں کریں گی، اولاد کو قتل نہیں کریں گی اور اپنے ہاتھ پاؤں کے سامنے سے کوئی بہتان (لڑکا) لے کر نہیں آئیں گی اور کسی نیکی میں آپ کی مخالفت نہیں کریں گی تو آپ ان سے بیعت کا معاملہ کر لیں اور ان کے حق میں استغفار کریں کہ خدا بڑا بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

O you who believe! do not make friends with a people with whom Allah is wroth; indeed they despair of the hereafter as the unbelievers despair of those in tombs.

ایمان والو خبردار اس قوم سے ہرگز دوستی نہ کرنا جس پر خدا نے غضب نازل کیا ہے کہ وہ آخرت سے اسی طرح مایوس ہوں گے جس طرح کفاّر قبر والوں سے مایوس ہو جاتے ہیں۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

زمین و آسمان کا ہر ذرہ اللہ کی تسبیح میں مشغول ہے اور وہی صاحبِ عزّت اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

O you who believe! why do you say that which you do not do?

ایمان والو آخر وہ بات کیوں کہتے ہو جس پر عمل نہیں کرتے ہو۔

It is most hateful to Allah that you should say that which you do not do.

اللہ کے نزدیک یہ سخت ناراضگی کا سبب ہے کہ تم وہ کہو جس پر عمل نہیں کرتے ہو۔

Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way in ranks as if they were a firm and compact wall.

بےشک اللہ ان لوگوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے جو اس کی راہ میں اس طرح صف باندھ کر جہاد کرتے ہیں جس طرح سیسہ پلائی ہوئی دیواریں۔

And when Musa said to his people: O my people! why do you give me trouble? And you know indeed that I am Allah’s apostle to you; but when they turned aside, Allah made their hearts turn aside, and Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب موسٰیؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ قوم والو مجھے کیوں اذیت دے رہے ہو تمہیں تو معلوم ہے کہ میں تمہاری طرف اللہ کا رسول ہوں پھر جب وہ لوگ ٹیڑھے ہو گئے تو خدا نے بھی ان کے دلوں کو ٹیڑھا ہی کر دیا کہ اللہ بدکار قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے۔

And when Isa son of Marium said: O children of Israel! surely I am the apostle of Allah to you, verifying that which is before me of the Taurat and giving the good news of an Apostle who will come after me, his name being Ahmad, but when he came to them with clear arguments they said: This is clear magic.

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب عیسٰی بن مریمؑ نے کہا کہ اے بنی اسرائیل میں تمہاری طرف اللہ کا رسول ہوں اپنے پہلے کی کتاب توریت کی تصدیق کرنے والا اور اپنے بعد کے لئے ایک رسول کی بشارت دینے والا ہوں جس کا نام احمد ہے لیکن پھر بھی جب وہ معجزات لے کر آئے تو لوگوں نے کہہ دیا کہ یہ تو کھلا ہوا جادو ہے۔

And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah and he is invited to Islam, and Allah does not guide the unjust people.

اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہو گا جو خدا پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے جب کہ اسے اسلام کی دعوت دی جا رہی ہو اور اللہ کبھی ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے۔

They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse.

یہ لوگ چاہتے ہیں کہ نورِ خدا کو اپنے منہ سے بجھا دیں اور اللہ اپنے نور کو مکمل کرنے والا ہے چاہے یہ بات کفار کو کتنی ہی ناگوار کیوں نہ ہو۔

He it is Who sent His Apostle with the guidance and the true religion, that He may make it overcome the religions, all of them, though the polytheists may be averse.

وہی خدا وہ ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور دینِ حق کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے تاکہ اسے تمام ادیان پر غالب بنائے چاہے یہ بات مشرکین کو کتنی ہی ناگوار کیوں نہ ہو۔

O you who believe! shall I lead you to a merchandise which may deliver you from a painful chastisement?

ایمان والو کیا میں تمہیں ایک ایسی تجارت کی طرف رہنمائی کروں جو تمہیں درد ناک عذاب سے بچا لے۔

You shall believe in Allah and His Apostle, and struggle hard in Allah’s way with your property and your lives; that is better for you, did you but know!

اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لے آؤ اور راہِ خدا میں اپنے جان و مال سے جہاد کرو کہ یہی تمہارے حق میں سب سے بہتر ہے اگر تم جاننے والے ہو۔

He will forgive you your faults and cause you to enter into gardens, beneath which rivers flow, and goodly dwellings in gardens of perpetuity; that is the mighty achievement;

وہ تمہارے گناہوں کو بھی بخش دے گا اور تمہیں ان جنتوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی اور اس ہمیشہ رہنے والی جنّت میں پاکیزہ مکانات ہوں گے اور یہی بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے۔

And yet another (blessing) that you love: help from Allah and a victory near at hand; and give good news to the believers.

اور ایک چیز اور بھی جسے تم پسند کرتے ہو، اللہ کی طرف سے مدد اور قریبی فتح اور آپ مومنین کو بشارت دے دیجئے۔

O you who believe! be helpers (in the cause) of Allah, as Isa son of Marium said to (his) disciples: Who are my helpers in the cause of Allah? The disciples said: We are helpers (in the cause) of Allah. So a party of the children of Israel believed and another party disbelieved; then We aided those who believed against their enemy, and they became uppermost.

ایمان والو اللہ کے مدد گار بن جاؤ جس طرح عیسٰی بن مریمؑ نے اپنے حواریین سے کہا تھا کہ اللہ کی راہ میں میرا مدد گار کون ہے تو حواریین نے کہا کہ ہم اللہ کے ناصر ہیں لیکن پھر بنی اسرائیل میں سے ایک گروہ ایمان لے آیا اور ایک گروہ کافر ہو گیا تو ہم نے صاحبانِ ایمان کی دشمن کے مقابلہ میں مدد کر دی تو وہ غالب آکر رہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, the King, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise.

زمین و آسمان کا ہر ذرہ اس خدا کی تسبیح کر رہا ہے جو بادشاہ پاکیزہ صفات اور صاحبِ عزّت اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

He it is Who raised among the inhabitants of Mecca an Apostle from among themselves, who recites to them His communications and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, although they were before certainly in clear error

اس خدا نے مکہ والوں میں ایک رسول بھیجا ہے جو ان ہی میں سے تھا کہ ان کے سامنے آیات کی تلاوت کرے، ان کے نفوس کو پاکیزہ بنائے اور انہیں کتاب و حکمت کی تعلیم دے اگرچہ یہ لوگ بڑی کھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں مبتلا تھے۔

And others from among them who have not yet joined them; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اور ان میں سے ان لوگوں کی طرف بھی جو ابھی ان سے ملحق نہیں ہوئے ہیں اور وہ صاحبِ عزّت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ حکمت بھی۔

That is Allah’s grace; He grants it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.

یہ ایک فضلِ خدا ہے وہ جسے چاہتا ہے عطا کر دیتا ہے اور وہ بڑے عظیم فضل کا مالک ہے۔

The likeness of those who were charged with the Taurat, then they did not observe it, is as the likeness of the ass bearing books, evil is the likeness of the people who reject the communications of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust people.

ان لوگوں کی مثال جن پر توریت کا بار رکھا گیا اور وہ اسے اُٹھا نہ سکے اس گدھے کی مثال ہے جو کتابوں کا بوجھ اٹھائے ہوئے ہو یہ بدترین مثال ان لوگوں کی ہے جنہوں نے آیات الٰہی کی تکذیب کی ہے اور خدا کسی ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے۔

Say: O you who are Jews, if you think that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then invoke death If you are truthful.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ یہودیو اگر تمہارا خیال یہ ہے کہ تمام انسانوں میں تم ہی اللہ کے دوست ہو تو اگر اپنے دعویٰ میں سچے ہو تو موت کی تمنّا کرو۔

And they will never invoke it because of what their hands have sent before; and Allah is Cognizant of the unjust.

اور یہ ہر گز موت کی تمنّا نہیں کریں گے کہ ان کے ہاتھوں نے پہلے بہت کچھ کر رکھا ہے اور اللہ ظالمین کے حالات کو خوب جانتا ہے۔

Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم جس موت سے فرار کر رہے ہو وہ خود تم سے ملاقات کرنے والی ہے اس کے بعد تم اس کی بارگاہ میں پلٹائے جاؤ گے جو حاضر و غائب سب کا جاننے والا ہے اور وہ تمہیں باخبر کرے گا کہ تم دنیا میں کیا کر رہے تھے۔

O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know.

ایمان والو جب تمہیں جمعہ کے دن نماز کے لئے پکارا جائے تو ذکر خدا کی طرف دوڑ پڑو اور کاروبار بند کر دو کہ یہی تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اگر تم جاننے والے ہو۔

But when the prayer is ended, then disperse abroad in the land and seek of Allah’s grace, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful.

پھر جب نماز تمام ہو جائے تو زمین میں منتشر ہو جاؤ اور فضل خدا کو تلاش کرو اور خدا کو بہت یاد کرو کہ شاید اسی طرح تمہیں نجات حاصل ہو جائے۔

And when they see merchandise or sport they break up for it, and leave you standing. Say: What is with Allah is better than sport and (better) than merchandise, and Allah is the best of Sustainers.

اور اے پیغمبر یہ لوگ جب تجارت یا لہو و لعب کو دیکھتے ہیں تو اس کی طرف دوڑ پڑتے ہیں اور آپ کو تنہا کھڑا چھوڑ دیتے ہیں آپ ان سے کہہ دیجئے کہ خدا کے پاس جو کچھ بھی ہے وہ اس کھیل اور تجارت سے بہرحال بہتر ہے اور وہ بہترین رزق دینے والا ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

When the hypocrites come to you, they say: We bear witness that you are most surely Allah’s Apostle; and Allah knows that you are most surely His Apostle, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are surely liars.

پیغمبر یہ منافقین آپ کے پاس آتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم گواہی دیتے ہیں کہ آپ اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور اللہ بھی جانتا ہے کہ آپ اس کے رسول ہیں لیکن اللہ گواہی دیتا ہے کہ یہ منافقین اپنے دعویٰ میں جھوٹے ہیں۔

They make their oaths a shelter, and thus turn away from Allah’s way; surely evil is that which they do.

انہوں نے اپنی قسموں کو سپر بنا لیا ہے اور لوگوں کو راہِ خدا سے روک رہے ہیں یہ ان کے بدترین اعمال ہیں جو یہ انجام دے رہے ہیں۔

That is because they believe, then disbelieve, so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand.

یہ اس لئے ہے کہ یہ پہلے ایمان لائے پھر کافر ہو گئے تو ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دی گئی تو اب کچھ نہیں سمجھ رہے ہیں۔

And when you see them, their persons will please you, and if they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back?

اور جب آپ انہیں دیکھیں گے تو ان کے جسم بہت اچھے لگیں گے اور بات کریں گے تو اس طرح کہ آپ سننے لگیں لیکن حقیقت میں یہ ایسے ہیں جیسے دیوار سے لگائی ہوئی سوکھی لکڑیاں کہ یہ ہر چیخ کو اپنے ہی خلاف سمجھتے ہیں اور یہ واقعًا دشمن ہیں ان سے ہوشیار رہئے خدا انہیں غارت کرے یہ کہاں بہکے چلے جا رہے ہیں۔

And when it is said to them: Come, the Apostle of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, they turn back their heads and you may see them turning away while they are big with pride.

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ آؤ رسول اللہ تمہارے حق میں استغفار کریں گے تو سر پھرا لیتے ہیں اور تم دیکھو گے کہ استکبار کی بنا پر منہ بھی موڑ لیتے ہیں۔

It is alike to them whether you beg forgiveness for them or do not beg forgiveness for them; Allah will never forgive them; surely Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

ان کے لئے سب برابر ہے چاہے آپ استغفار کریں یا نہ کریں خدا انہیں بخشنے والا نہیں ہے کہ یقینًا اللہ بدکار قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے۔

They it is who say: Do not spend upon those who are with the Apostle of Allah until they break up. And Allah’s are the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ کے ساتھیوں پر کچھ خرچ نہ کرو تاکہ یہ لوگ منتشر ہو جائیں حالانکہ آسمان و زمین کے سارے خزانے اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں اور یہ منافقین اس بات کو نہیں سمجھ رہے ہیں۔

They say: If we return to Medina, the mighty will surely drive out the meaner therefrom; and to Allah belongs the might and to His Apostle and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.

یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ہم مدینہ واپس آگئے تو ہم صاحبانِ عزّت ان ذلیل افراد کو نکال باہر کریں گے حالانکہ ساری عزّت اللہ، رسول اور صاحبانِ ایمان کے لئے ہے اور یہ منافقین یہ جانتے بھی نہیں ہیں۔

O you who believe! let not your wealth, or your children, divert you from the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does that, these are the losers.

ایمان والو خبردار تمہارے اموال اور تمہاری اولاد تمہیں یادِ خدا سے غافل نہ کر دے کہ جو ایسا کرے گا وہ یقینًا خسارہ والوں میں شمار ہو گا۔

And spend out of what We have given you before death comes to one of you, so that he should say: My Lord! why didst Thou not respite me to a near term, so that I should have given alms and been of the doers of good deeds?

اور جو رزق ہم نے عطا کیا ہے اس میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ کرو قبل اس کے کہ تم میں سے کسی کو موت آجائے اور وہ یہ کہے کہ خدایا ہمیں تھوڑے دنوں کی مہلت کیوں نہیں دے دیتا ہے کہ ہم خیرات نکالیں اور نیک بندوں میں شامل ہو جائیں۔

And Allah does not respite a soul when its appointed term has come, and Allah is Aware of what you do.

اور ہرگز خدا کسی کی اجل کے آجانے کے بعد اس میں تاخیر نہیں کرتا ہے اور وہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; to Him belongs the kingdom, and to Him is due (all) praise, and He has power over all things.

زمین و آسمان کا ہر ذرہ خدا کی تسبیح کر رہا ہے کہ اسی کے لئے ملک ہے اور اسی کے لئے حمد ہے اور وہی ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

He it is Who created you, but one of you is an unbeliever and another of you is a believer; and Allah sees what you do.

اسی نے تم سب کو پیدا کیا ہے پھر تم میں سے کچھ مومن ہیں اور کچھ کافر اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال کو خوب دیکھ رہا ہے۔

He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He formed you, then made goodly your forms, and to Him is the ultimate resort.

اسی نے آسمان و زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے اور تمہاری صورت کو بھی انتہائی حسین بنایا ہے اور پھر اسی کی طرف سب کی بازگشت بھی ہے۔

He knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you manifest; and Allah is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.

وہ زمین و آسمان کی ہر شے سے باخبر ہے اور ان تمام چیزوں کو جانتا ہے جن کا تم اظہار کرتے ہو یا جنہیں تم چھپاتے ہو اور وہ سینوں کے رازوں سے بھی باخبر ہے۔

Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before, then tasted the evil result of their conduct, and they had a painful punishment?

کیا تمہارے پاس پہلے کفر اختیار کرنے والوں کی خبر نہیں آئی ہے کہ انہوں نے اپنے کام کے وبال کا مزہ چکھ لیا اور ان کے لئے درد ناک عذاب ہے۔

That is because there came to them their apostles with clear arguments, but they said: Shall mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned back, and Allah does not stand in need (of anything), and Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised.

یہ اس لئے کہ ان کے پاس رسول کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں لے کر آتے تھے تو انہوں نے صاف کہہ دیا کہ کیا بشر ہماری ہدایت کرے گا اور یہ کہہ کر انکار کر دیا اور منہ پھیر لیا تو خدا بھی ان سے بے نیاز ہے اور وہ قابل تعریف غنی ہے۔

Those who disbelieve think that they shall never be raised. Say: Aye! by my Lord! you shall most certainly be raised, then you shall most certainly be informed of what you did; and that is easy to Allah.

ان کفّار کا خیال یہ ہے کہ انہیں دوبارہ نہیں اٹھایا جائے گا تو کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے پروردگار کی قسم تمہیں دوبارہ زندہ کیا جائے گا اور پھر بتایا جائے گا کہ تم نے کیا کیا ہے اور یہ کام خدا کے لئے بہت آسان ہے۔

Therefore believe in Allah and His Apostle and the Light which We have revealed; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

لہذا خدا اور رسول اور اس نور پر ایمان لے آؤ جسے ہم نے نازل کیا ہے کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

On the day that He will gather you for the day of gathering, that is the day of loss and gain; and whoever believes in Allah and does good, He will remove from him his evil and cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever; that is the great achievement.

وہ قیامت کے دن تم سب کو جمع کرے گا اور وہی ہار جیت کا دن ہو گا اور جو اللہ پر ایمان رکھے گا اور نیک اعمال کرے گا خدا اس کی برائیوں کو دور کر دے گا اور اسے ان باغات میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی وہ ان ہی میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے اور یہی سب سے بڑی کامیابی ہے۔

And (as for) those who disbelieve and reject Our communications, they are the inmates of the fire, to abide therein and evil is the resort.

اور جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا وہ اصحابِ جہنّم ہیں اور وہیں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں اور یہ ان کا بدترین انجام ہے۔

No affliction comes about but by Allah’s permission; and whoever believes in Allah, He guides aright his heart; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

کوئی مصیبت نازل نہیں ہوتی ہے مگر خدا کی اجازت سے اور جو صاحبِ ایمان ہوتا ہے خدا اس کے دل کی ہدایت کر دیتا ہے اور خدا ہر شے کا خوب جاننے والا ہے۔

And obey Allah and obey the Apostle, but if you turn back, then upon Our Apostle devolves only the clear delivery (of the message).

اور تم لوگ خدا کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو پھر اگر انحراف کرو گے تو رسول کی ذمہ داری واضح طور پر پیغام پہنچا دینے کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں ہے۔

Allah, there is no god but He; and upon Allah, then, let the believers rely.

اللہ ہی وہ ہے جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اور تمام صاحبانِ ایمان کو اسی پر بھروسہ کرنا چاہئے۔

O you who believe! surely from among your wives and your children there is an enemy to you; therefore beware of them; and if you pardon and forbear and forgive, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

ایمان والو! تمہاری بیویوں اور تمہاری اولاد میں سے بعض تمہارے دشمن ہیں لہذا ان سے ہوشیار رہو اور اگر انہیں معاف کر دو اور ان سے درگزر کرو اور انہیں بخش دو تو اللہ بھی بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

Your possessions and your children are only a trial, and Allah it is with Whom is a great reward.

تمہارے اموال اور تمہاری اولاد تمہارے لئے صرف امتحان کا ذریعہ ہیں اور اجر عظیم صرف اللہ کے پاس ہے۔

Therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah as much as you can, and hear and obey and spend, it is better for your souls; and whoever is saved from the greediness of his soul, these it is that are the successful.

لہذا جہاں تک ممکن ہو اللہ سے ڈرو اور اس کی بات سنو اور اطاعت کرو اور راہِ خدا میں خرچ کرو کہ اس میں تمہارے لئے خیر ہے اور جو اپنے ہی نفس کے بخل سے محفوظ ہو جائے وہی لوگ فلاح اور نجات پانے والے ہیں۔

If you set apart for Allah a goodly portion, He will double it for you and forgive you; and Allah is the Multiplier (of rewards), Forbearing

اگر تم اللہ کو قرضِ حسنہ دو گے تو وہ اسے دوگنا بنا دے گا اور تمہیں معاف بھی کر دے گا کہ وہ بڑا قدر داں اور برداشت کرنے والا ہے۔

The Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Wise.

وہ حاضر و غائب کا جاننے والا اور صاحبِ عزّت و حکمت ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O Prophet! when you divorce women, divorce them for their prescribed time, and calculate the number of the days prescribed, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, your Lord. Do not drive them out of their houses, nor should they themselves go forth, unless they commit an open indecency; and these are the limits of Allah, and whoever goes beyond the limits of Allah, he indeed does injustice to his own soul. You do not know that Allah may after that bring about reunion.

اے پیغمبر! جب تم لوگ عورتوں کو طلاق دو تو انہیں عدت کے حساب سے طلاق دو اور پھر عدت کا حساب رکھو اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو کہ وہ تمہارا پروردگار ہے اور خبردار انہیں ان کے گھروں سے مت نکالنا اور نہ وہ خود نکلیں جب تک کوئی کھلا ہوا گناہ نہ کریں، یہ خدائی حدود ہیں اور جو خدائی حدود سے تجاوز کرے گا اس نے اپنے ہی نفس پر ظلم کیا ہے تمہیں نہیں معلوم کہ شاید خدا اس کے بعد کوئی نئی بات ایجاد کر دے۔

So when they have reached their prescribed time, then retain them with kindness or separate them with kindness, and call to witness two men of justice from among you, and give upright testimony for Allah. With that is admonished he who believes in Allah and the latter day; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will make for him an outlet

پھر جب وہ اپنی مدت کو پورا کر لیں تو انہیں نیکی کے ساتھ روک لو یا نیکی ہی کے ساتھ رخصت کر دو اور طلاق کے لئے اپنے میں سے دو عادل افراد کو گواہ بناؤ اور گواہی کو صرف خدا کے لئے قائم کرو نصیحت ان لوگوں کو کی جا رہی ہے جو خدا اور روزِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو بھی اللہ سے ڈرتا ہے اللہ اس کے لئے نجات کی راہ پیدا کر دیتا ہے

And give him sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has appointed a measure for everything.

اور اسے ایسی جگہ سے رزق دیتا ہے جس کا خیال بھی نہیں ہوتا ہے اور جو خدا پر بھروسہ کرے گا خدا اس کے لئے کافی ہے بےشک خدا اپنے حکم کا پہنچانے والا ہے اس نے ہر شے کے لئے ایک مقدار معین کر دی ہے۔

And (as for) those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you have a doubt, their prescribed time shall be three months, and of those too who have not had their courses; and (as for) the pregnant women, their prescribed time is that they lay down their burden; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah. He will make easy for him his affair.

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں جو حیض سے مایوس ہو چکی ہیں اگر ان کے یائسہ ہونے میں شک ہو تو ان کا عدہ تین مہینے ہے اور اسی طرح وہ عورتیں جن کے یہاں حیض نہیں آتا ہے اور حاملہ عورتوں کا عدہ وضع حمل تک ہے اور جو خدا سے ڈرتا ہے خدا اس کے امر میں آسانی پیدا کر دیتا ہے۔

That is the command of Allah which He has revealed to you, and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will remove from him his evil and give him a big reward.

یہ حکمِ خدا ہے جسے تمہاری طرف اس نے نازل کیا ہے اور جو خدا سے ڈرتا ہے خدا اس کی برائیوں کو دور کر دیتا ہے اور اس کے اجر میں اضافہ کر دیتا ہے۔

Lodge them where you lodge according to your means, and do not injure them in order that you may straiten them; and if they are pregnant, spend on them until they lay down their burden; then if they suckle for you, give them their recompense and enjoin one another among you to do good; and if you disagree, another (woman) shall suckle for him.

اور ان مطلقات کو سکونت دو جیسی طاقت تم رکھتے ہو اور انہیں اذیت مت دو کہ اس طرح ان پر تنگی کرو اور اگر حاملہ ہوں تو ان پر اس وقت تک انفاق کرو جب تک وضع حمل نہ ہو جائے پھر اگر وہ تمہارے بچوں کو دودھ پلائیں تو انہیں ان کی اجرت دو اور اسے آپس میں نیکی کے ساتھ طے کرو اور اگر آپس میں کشاکش ہو جائے تو دوسری عورت کو دودھ پلانے کا موقع دو۔

Let him who has abundance spend out of his abundance and whoever has his means of subsistence straitened to him, let him spend out of that which Allah has given him; Allah does not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent to which He has granted it; Allah brings about ease after difficulty.

صاحبِ وسعت کو چاہئے کہ اپنی وسعت کے مطابق خرچ کرے اور جس کے رزق میں تنگی ہے وہ اسی میں سے خرچ کرے جو خدا نے اسے دیا ہے کہ خدا کسی نفس کو اس سے زیادہ تکلیف نہیں دیتا ہے جتنا اسے عطا کیا گیا ہے عنقریب خدا تنگی کے بعد وسعت عطا کر دے گا۔

And how many a town which rebelled against the commandment of its Lord and His apostles, so We called it to account severely and We chastised it (with) a stern chastisement.

اور کتنی ہی بستیاں ہیں جنہوں نے حکمِ خدا و رسول کی نافرمانی کی تو ہم نے ان کا شدید محاسبہ کر لیا اور انہیں بدترین عذاب میں مبتلا کر دیا۔

So it tasted the evil result of its conduct, and the end of its affair was perdition.

پھر انہوں نے اپنے کام کے وبال کا مزہ چکھ لیا اور آخری انجام خسارہ ہی قرار پایا۔

Allah has prepared for them severe chastisement, therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding who believe! Allah has indeed revealed to you a reminder

اللہ نے ان کے لئے شدید قسم کا عذاب مہیّا کر رکھا ہے لہذا ایمان والو اور عقل والو اللہ سے ڈرو کہ اس نے تمہاری طرف اپنے ذکر کو نازل کیا ہے۔

An Apostle who recites to you the clear communications of Allah so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever, Allah has indeed given him a goodly sustenance.

وہ رسول جو اللہ کی واضح آیات کی تلاوت کرتا ہے کہ ایمان اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو تاریکیوں سے نکال کر نور کی طرف لے آئے اور جو خدا پر ایمان رکھے گا اور نیک عمل کرے گا خدا اسے ان جنّتوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی وہ ان ہی میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں اور اللہ نے انہیں یہ بہترین رزق عطا کیا ہے۔

Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them; the decree continues to descend among them, that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah indeed encompasses all things in (His) knowledge.

اللہ ہی وہ ہے جس نے ساتوں آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا ہے اور زمینوں میں بھی ویسی ہی زمینیں بنائی ہیں اس کے احکام ان کے درمیان نازل ہوتے رہتے ہیں تاکہ تمہیں یہ معلوم رہے کہ وہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے اور اس کا علم تمام اشیاء کو محیط ہے۔

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O Prophet! why do you forbid (yourself) that which Allah has made lawful for you; you seek to please your wives; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

پیغمبر آپ اس شے کو کیوں ترک کر رہے ہیں جس کو خدا نے آپ کے لئے حلال کیا ہے کیا آپ ازواج کی مرضی کے خواہشمند ہیں اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے۔

Allah indeed has sanctioned for you the expiation of your oaths and Allah is your Protector, and He is the Knowing, the Wise.

خدا نے فرض قرار دیا ہے کہ اپنی قسم کو کفّارہ دے کر ختم کر دیجئے اور اللہ آپ کا مولا ہے اور وہ ہر چیز کا جاننے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

And when the prophet secretly communicated a piece of information to one of his wives- but when she informed (others) of it, and Allah made him to know it, he made known part of it and avoided part; so when he informed her of it, she said: Who informed you of this? He said: The Knowing, the one Aware, informed me.

اور جب نبی نے اپنی بعض ازواج سے راز کی بات بتائی اور اس نے دوسری کو باخبر کر دیا اور خدا نے نبی پر ظاہر کر دیا تو نبی نے بعض باتوں کو اسے بتایا اور بعض سے اعراض کیا پھر جب اسے باخبر کیا تو اس نے پوچھا کہ آپ کو کس نے بتایا ہے تو آپ نے کہا کہ خدائے علیم و خبیر نے۔

If you both turn to Allah, then indeed your hearts are already inclined (to this); and if you back up each other against him, then surely Allah it is Who is his Guardian, and Jibreel and the believers that do good, and the angels after that are the aiders.

اب تم دونوں توبہ کرو کہ تمہارے دلوں میں کجی پیدا ہو گئی ہے ورنہ اگر اس کے خلاف اتفاق کرو گی تو یاد رکھو کہ اللہ اس کا سرپرست ہے اور جبریل اور نیک مومنین اور ملائکہ سب اس کے مدد گار ہیں۔

Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters, widows and virgins.

وہ اگر تمہیں طلاق بھی دے دے گا تو خدا تمہارے بدلے اسے تم سے بہتر بیویاں عطا کر دے گا مسلمہ، مومنہ، فرمانبردار، توبہ کرنے والی، عبادت گزار، روزہ رکھنے والی، کنواری اور غیر کنواری سب۔

O you who believe! save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones; over it are angels stern and strong, they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, and do as they are commanded.

ایمان والو اپنے نفس اور اپنے اہل کو اس آگ سے بچاؤ جس کا ایندھن انسان اور پتھر ہوں گے جس پر وہ ملائکہ معین ہوں گے جو سخت مزاج اور تند و تیز ہیں اور خدا کے حکم کی مخالفت نہیں کرتے ہیں اور جو حکم دیا جاتا ہے اسی پر عمل کرتے ہیں۔

O you who disbelieve! do not urge excuses today; you shall be rewarded only according to what you did.

اور اے کفر اختیار کرنے والو آج کوئی عذر پیش نہ کرو کہ آج تمہیں تمہارے اعمال کی سزا دی جائے گی۔

O you who believe! turn to Allah a sincere turning; maybe your Lord will remove from you your evil and cause you to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the day on which Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him; their light shall run on before them and on their right hands; they shall say: Our Lord! make perfect for us our light, and grant us protection, surely Thou hast power over all things.

ایمان والو خلوصِ دل کے ساتھ توبہ کرو عنقریب تمہارا پروردگار تمہاری برائیوں کو مٹا دے گا اور تمہیں ان جنّتوں میں داخل کر دے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی اس دن خدا اپنے نبی اور صاحبانِ ایمان کو رسوا نہیں ہونے دے گا ان کا نور ان کے آگے آگے اور داہنی طرف چل رہا ہو گا اور وہ کہیں گے کہ خدایا ہمارے لئے ہمارے نور کو مکمل کر دے اور ہمیں بخش دے کہ تو یقینًا ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be hard against them; and their abode is hell; and evil is the resort.

پیغمبر آپ کفار اور منافقین سے جہاد کریں اور ان پر سختی کریں اور ان کا ٹھکانا جہنّم ہے اور وہی بدترین انجام ہے۔

Allah sets forth an example to those who disbelieve the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut: they were both under two of Our righteous servants, but they acted treacherously towards them so they availed them naught against Allah, and it was said: Enter both the fire with those who enter.

خدا نے کفر اختیار کرنے والوں کے لئے زوجہ نوح اور زوجہ لوط کی مثال بیان کی ہے کہ یہ دونوں ہمارے نیک بندوں کی زوجیت میں تھیں لیکن ان سے خیانت کی تو اس زوجیت نے خدا کی بارگاہ میں کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچایا اور ان سے کہہ دیا گیا کہ تم بھی تمام جہنّم میں داخل ہونے والوں کے ساتھ داخل ہو جاؤ۔

And Allah sets forth an example to those who believe the wife of Firon when she said: My Lord! build for me a house with Thee in the garden and deliver me from Firon and his doing, and deliver me from the unjust people:

اور خدا نے ایمان والوں کے لئے فرعون کی زوجہ کی مثال بیان کی ہے کہ اس نے دعا کی کہ پروردگار میرے لئے جنّت میں ایک گھر بنا دے اور مجھے فرعون اور اس کے کاروبار سے نجات دلا دے اور اس پوری ظالم قوم سے نجات عطا کر دے۔

And Marium, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and she accepted the truth of the words of her Lord and His books, and she was of the obedient ones.

اور مریم بنت عمرانؑ کی مثال جس نے اپنی عفت کی حفاظت کی تو ہم نے اس میں اپنی روح پھونک دی اور اس نے اپنے رب کے کلمات اور کتابوں کی تصدیق کی اور وہ ہمارے فرمانبردار بندوں میں سے تھی۔

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
