زیارتِ عاشورا
Ziyarat Ashura — the salutation to Imam Husain (a) reported from Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a).
It is recited on the day of Ashura and throughout Muharram, and many recite it every day of the year. Its form is a covenant taken aloud: salutation to Imam Husain (a) and to those who fell with him at Karbala; disavowal of those who wronged them and of those who were content with it; and the declaration that the reciter is at peace with whoever is at peace with them and at war with whoever is at war with them.
It closes with the salawat of a hundred, and with the dua of Alqama, which the Centre keeps as its own text.
Imam Husain (a)
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ اَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَابْنَ سَیِّدِ الْوَصِیِّیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَابْنَ فَاطِمَۃَ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَآءِ الْعَالَمِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَاثَارَ اللہِ وَابْنَ ثَارِہٖ وَالْوِتْرَ الْمَوْتُوْرَ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa abaa a’bdil laahe as-salaamo a’alayka yabna rasoolil laahe as-salaamo a’laika yabna ameeril momeneena wabna sayyedil wasiyyeena as-salaamo a’laika yabna faatemaata sayyedate nesaaail a’alameena as-salaamo a’laika yaa kheyaratallaahe wabna kheyaratehi as-salaamo a’laika yaa saaral laahe wabna saarehee wal witral mawtoora.
Peace be unto thee, O Aba Abdillah, Peace be unto thee, O son of the Messenger of God, Peace be unto thee, O son of the Commander of the true believers, and O son of the Chief of the Prophet’s successors, Peace be unto thee, O son of Fatima Zahra, Princess of the Ladies of Paradise, Peace be unto thee, O thou that shall be avenged by God, and O son of one who shall be avenged by Him, and O unique martyr, cut into pieces and unavenged.
آپ پر سلام ہو اے ابا عبداؑللہ! آپ پر سلام ہو اے رسول ِخدا ؐکے فرزند سلام ہوآپ پر اے امیر المومنین ؑکے فرزند اور اوصیاء کے سردار کے فرزند سلام ہوآپ پر اے فرزند ِفاطمہ ؑجو جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو اے قربان ِخدا اور قربان ِخدا کے فرزنداور وہ خون جس کا بدلہ لیا جانا ہے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ وَعَلَی الْاَرْوَاحِ الَّتِیْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَآئِكَ عَلَیْكُمْ مِنِّیْ جَمِیْعًا سَلَامُ اللہِ اَبَدًا مَّا بَقِیْتُ وَ بَقِیَ اللَّیْلُ وَالنَّھَارُ یَااَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِیَّۃُ وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتِ الْمُصِیْبَۃُ بِكَ عَلَیْنَا وَعَلٰی جَمِیْعِ اَھْلِ الْاِسْلَامِ۔
As-salaamo a’laika wa a’lal arwaahil latee hallat be fenaa-eka a’laykum minnee jamee-a’n salaamul laahe abadam maa baqeeto wa baqeyal laylo wan nahaaro yaa abaa a’bdil laahe laqad a’zomatir raziyyato wa jallat wa a’zomatil moseebato beka a’laynaa wa a’laa jamee-e’ ahlil islaame.
Peace be upon thee and upon the souls who laid down their lives for thee. Unto all of you I invoke the Peace of God for ever and anon, until the rest of my life and until the end of the days and nights of the world. O Aba Abdillah, great is the calamity and deep is the sorrow that befell thee, for us and for all the followers of Islam.
آپ پر سلام ہواور ان روحوں پر جو آپ کے آستانوں میں اتری ہیں آپ سب پرمیری طرف سے خدا کا سلام ہمیشہ جب تک میں باقی ہوں اور رات دن باقی ہیں۔ اے ابا عبداﷲؑ!آپ کا سوگ بہت عظیم اور بہت بڑا ہے اور آپ کی مصیبت بہت بڑی ہے ہمارے لئے اور تمام اہل ِاسلام کے لیے۔
وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتْ مُصِیْبَتُكَ فِیْ السَّمٰوَاتِ عَلٰی جَمِیْعِ اَھْلِ السَّمٰوَاتِ فَلَعَنَ اللہُ اُمَّۃً اَسَّسَتْ اَسَاسَ الظُّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَیْكُمْ اَھْلَ الْبَیْتِ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ اُمَّۃً دَفَعَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَقَامِكُمْ وَاَزَالَتْكُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِكُمُ الَّتِیْ رَتَّبَكُمُ اللہُ فِیْھَا۔
Wa jallat wa a’zomat moseebatoka fis samaawaate a’laa jamee-e’ ahlis samaawaate fa la-a’nal laaho ummatan assasat asaasaz zulme wal jawre a’laykum ahlal bayte wa la-a’nal laaho ummatan dafa-a’tkum a’n moqaamekum wa azaalatkum a’n maraatebokomul latee rattaba komul laaho feehaa.
And great and deep is thy sorrow as observed in the heavens among all the inhabitants of the heavens. Wherefor the curse of God be upon the people who laid the foundations of injustice and cruelty inflicted upon you, O people of the House of Muhammad. And the curse of God be on the folk who impeded thee from your rightful position, and who removed thee from the honourable status which God had secured unto thee.
اور بہت بڑی اور بھاری ہے آپ کی مصیبت آسمانوں میں تمام آسمان والوں کے لئے پس خدا کی لعنت ہو اس گروہ پرجس نے آپ پر ظلم و ستم کرنے کی بنیاد ڈالی اے اہل بیتؑ اور خدا کی لعنت ہو اس گروہ پر جس نے آپ کو آپ کے مقام سے ہٹایا اور آپ کو اس مرتبے سے گرایا جو خدا نے آپ کو دیا۔
وَلَعَنَ اللہُ اُمَّۃً قَتَلَتْكُمْ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ الْمُمَھِّدِیْنَ لَھُمْ بِالتَّمْكِیْنِ مِنْ قِتَالِكُمْ بَرِئْتُ اِلَی اللہِ وَاِلَیْكُمْ مِنْھُمْ وَمِنْ اَشْیَاعِھِمْ وَاَتْبَاعِھِمْ وَاَوْلِیَآئِھِمْ یَااَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ اِنِّیْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ اِلٰی یَوْمِ الْقِیَامَۃِ۔
Wa la-a’nal laaho ummatan qatalatkum wa la-a’nal laahul momah-hedeena lahum bit tamkeene min qetaalekum barea-to elal laahe wa elaykum minhum wa min ashyaa-e’him wa atbaa-e’him wa awleyaaehim yaa abaa a’bdil laahe innee silmun leman saalamakum wa harbun leman haarabakum ilaa yawmil qeyaamate.
And the curse of God be on the folk who killed thee, And the curse of God be on those who nursed them by their force to fight against thee. I dissociate myself, for God’s Sake and for thy sake, from them and from their followers, henchmen and friends. O Abu Abdillah, lo I am at peace with those who are at peace with thee, and I am at war with those who are at war with thee, until the Day of Judgement.
خدا کی لعنت ہو اس گروہ پر جس نے آپ کوقتل کیا اور خدا کی لعنت ہو ان پر جنہوں نے ان کو آپ کے ساتھ جنگ کرنے کی قوت فراہم کی میں بری ہوں خدا کے سامنے اور آپ کے سامنے ان سے ان کے مددگاروں ان کے پیروکاروں اور ان کے ساتھیوں سے۔ اے ابا عبداللہؑ! آپ سے صلح کرنے والے سے میری صلح ہے اور آپ سے جنگ کرنے والے سے روزِ قیامت تک میری جنگ ہے۔
وَلَعَنَ اللہُ آلَ زِیَادٍ وَّآلَ مَرْوَانَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ بَنِیْ اُمَیَّۃَ قَاطِبَۃً وَّلَعَنَ اللہُ ابْنَ مَرْجَانَۃَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ شِمْرًا وَلَعَنَ اللہُ اُمَّۃً اَسْرَجَتْ وَاَلْجَمَتْ وَتَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ بِاَبِیْ اَنْتَ وَاُمِّیْ لَقَدْ عَظُمَ مُصَابِیْ بِكَ۔
Wa la-a’nal laaho aala zeyaadin wa aala marwaana wa la-a’nal laaho banee umayyata qaatebatan wa la-a’nal laahubna marjaanata wa la-a’nal laaho o’marabna saa’din wa la-a’nal laaho shimran wa la-a’nal laaho ummatan asrajat wa aljamat wa tanaqqabat le qetaaleka be abee anta wa ummee laqad a’zoma mosaabee beka.
And the curse of God be upon the seed of Ziad and the seed of Marwan and the Bani Umayya all of them; and the curse of God be upon the sons of Marjan; and the curse of God be upon Umar Ibne Sa’d; and the curse of the God be upon Yazid Ibne Moawiyah and the curse of God be upon Shimr, and the curse of God be upon the folk who saddled and bridled their horses and who prepared and conspired to fight against thee. O that my father and mother had perished for thee! So great is my grief for thee.
اور خدا لعنت کرے اولاد زیاداور اولادِ مروان پر خدا اظہارِ بیزاری کرے تمام بنی امیہ سے خدا لعنت کرے ابن مرجانہ پر خدا لعنت کرے عمر ابن سعد پر خدا لعنت کرے شمر پر اور خدا لعنت کرے جنہوں نے زین کسا لگام دی گھوڑوں کو اور لوگوں کو آپ سے لڑنےکے لئے ابھارا میرے ماں باپ آپ پر قربان ہوں یقینًا آپ کی خاطر میرا غم بڑھ گیا ہے۔
فَاَسْئَلُ اللہَ الَّذِیْ اَكْرَمَ مَقَامَكَ وَاَكْرَمَنِیْ بِكَ اَنْ یَّرْزُقَنِیْ طَلَبَ ثَارِكَ مَعَ اِمَامٍ مَّنْصُوْرٍ مِّنْ اَھْلِ بَیْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْنِیْ عِنْدَكَ وَجِیْھًا بِالْحُسَیْنِ عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامُ فِیْ الدُّنْیَا وَالْآخِرَۃِ۔
Fa asalul laahal lazee akrama maqaamaka wa akramanee beka ayn yarzoqanee talaba saareka ma-a’ emaamin mansoorin min ahle bayte mohammadin sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehee allaahummaja’lnee i’ndaka wajeehan bil husayne fid dunyaa wal aaakherate.
Therefore, I pray to God, who has exalted thy position and honoured me through thee, That He may grant me the grace of seeking revenge for thee in the company of the Victorious Imam from among the Ahle Bait of Muhammad (God bless him and his Family). O God, make me gracious in Thy sight for Husain’s sake, in this world and hereafter.
پس سوال کرتا ہوں خدا سے جس نے آپ کو شان عطا کی اور آپ کے ذریعے مجھے عزّت دی یہ کہ وہ مجھے آپ کے خون کا بدلہ لینے کا موقع دے ان امام منصور ؑکے ساتھ جو اہل بیت محمدؐ میں سے ہوں گے۔ اے معبود!مجھ کو اپنے ہاں آبرومند بنا حسین ؑ کے واسطے سے دنیا و آخرت میں۔
یَااَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ اِنِّی اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَی اللہِ وَاِلٰی رَسُوْلِہٖ وَاِلٰی اَمْیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَاِلٰی فَاطِمَۃَ وَاِلَی الْحَسَنِ وَاِلَیْكَ بِمُوَالَاتِكَ وَبِالْبَرَآئَۃِ (مِمَّنْ قَاتَلَکَ وَنَصَبَ لَکَ الْحَرْبُ وَبِالْبَرَاۗئَۃِ مِمَّنْ اَسَّسَ اَسَاسَ الظُّلْمِ وَالْجَوْرِ عَلَیْکُمْ وَاَبْرَئُ اِلَی اللہِ وَاِلٰی رَسُوْلِہٖ) مِمَّنْ اَسَّسَ اَسَاسَ ذٰلِكَ وَ بَنٰی عَلَیْہِ بُنْیَانَہٗ وَجَرٰی فِیْ ظُلْمِہٖ وَجَوْرِہٖ عَلَیْكُمْ وَعَلٰی اَشْیَاعِكُمْ۔
Yaa abaa a'bdil laahe innee ataqarrabo elal laahe wa ilaa rasoolehee wa ilaa ameeril momeneena wa ilaa faatemata wa elal hasane wa ilaika be mawaalaateka wa bil baraa-ate (mimman qaatalaka wa nasaba lakal harba wa bil-bara-aa-ate mimman assasa asaasaz zulme wal jawre a'laykum wa abrao elal laahe wa ilaa rasoolehi) mimman assasa asaasaz zulme wal jawre a'laykum wa abrao elal laahe wa ilaa rasoolehee mimman assasa asaasa zaaleka wa banaa a’laihe bunyaanahu wa jaraa fee zulmehee wa jawrehi a'laykum wa a'laa ashyaa-e'kum.
O Aba Abdillah, lo, I seek nearness to God and His Messenger, and to the Commander of true believers and to Fatima and to Hasan and to thee, through love of thee and through dissociation from those who laid the foundations of injustice and cruelty against thee.
اے ابا عبداللہؑ! بے شک میں تقرب چاہتا ہوں خدا کا اس کے رسولؐ کا امیر المومنینؑ کا فاطمۃ الزہرا ؑکا حسن مجتبیٰ ؑ کا اور آپ کی قربت آپ کی حب داری سے اور اس سے بیزاری کے ذریعے جس نے آپ کو قتل کیا اور آتش جنگ بھڑکائی اور اس سے بیزاری کے ذریعے جس نے تم پر ظلم وستم کی بنیاد رکھی۔
بَرِئْتُ اِلَی اللہِ وَاِلَیْكُمْ مِنْھُمْ وَاَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَی اللہِ ثُمَّ اِلَیْكُمْ بِمُوَالَاتِكُمْ وَمُوَالَاۃِ وَلِیِّكُمْ وَبِالْبَرَآئَۃِ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِكُمْ وَالنَّاصِبِیْنَ لَكُمُ الْحَرْبَ وَبِالْبَرَآئَۃِ مِنْ اَشْیَاعِھِمْ وَاَتْبَاعِھِمْ اِنِّیْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ وَ وَلِیٌّ لِمَنْ وَالَاكُمْ وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَآكُمْ۔
Barea’to elal laahe wa elaykum minhum wa ataqarrabo elal laahe summa elaykum be mawaalaatekum wa mowaalaate waliyyekum wa bil baraaa-ate min aa’-daaa-ekum wan naasebeena lakomul harba wa bil baraaa-ate min ashyaa-e’him wa atbaa-e’him innee silmun leman saalamakum wa harbun leman haarabakum wa waliyyun leman waalaakum wa a’duwwun leman a’adaakum.
And I dissociate myself for the sake of God and His Messenger from upon who laid the foundations of this (tragedy) and built upon it an edifice, and continued their injustice and persecution against thee and against thy followers; I dissociate myself for God’s sake and for thy sake from them, and I seek nearness (first) to God and then to thee through love of thee, and love of those who love thee, and through dissociation from thy foes and from those who waged war against thee, and through dissociation from their followers and henchmen. Lo, I am at peace with those who are at peace with thee, and at war with those who are at war against thee; and I am a friend of those who are thy friends and a foe of those who are thy foes.
اور میں بری الذمہ ہوں اﷲ اور اس کے رسول کے سامنے اس سے جس نے ایسی بنیاد قائم کی اور اس پر عمارت اٹھائی اور پھر ظلم و ستم کرنا شروع کیا اور آپ پر اور آپ کے پیروکاروں پر میں بیزاری ظاہر کرتا ہوں خدا اور آپ کے سامنے ان ظالموں سے، اورخدا کی قربت چاہتا ہوں پھر آپ کا آپ سے محبت کی وجہ سے اور آپ کے ولیوں سے محبت کے ذریعے آپ کے دشمنوں اور آپ کے خلاف جنگ برپا کرنے والوں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے اور ان کے طرف داروں اورپیروکاروں سے بیزاری کے ذریعے میری صلح ہے آپ سے صلح کرنے والے سے اور میری جنگ ہے آپ سے جنگ کرنے والے سے میں آپ کے دوست کا دوست اورآپ کے دشمن کا دشمن ہوں۔
فَاَسْئَلُ اللہَ الَّذِیْ اَكْرَمَنِیْ بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ وَمَعْرِفَۃِ اَوْلِیآئِكُمْ وَرَزَقَنِی الْبَرَآئَۃَ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِكُمْ اَنْ یَّجْعَلَنِیْ مَعَكُمْ فِیْ الدُّنْیَا وَالْآخِرَۃِ وَاَنْ یُّثَبِّتَ لِیْ عِنْدَكُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِیْ الدُّنْیَا وَالْآخِرَۃِ وَاَسْئَلُہٗ اَنْ یُّبَلِّغَنِی الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللہِ وَاَنْ یَّرْزُقَنِیْ طَلَبَ ثَارِیْ مَعَ اِمَامٍ ھُدًی ظَاھِرٍ نَاطِقٍ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْكُمْ۔
Fa as-alul laahal lazee akramanee be maa’refatekum wa maa’refate awleyaaaekum wa razaqanil baraaa-ata min aa’-daaa-ekum wa ayn yaj-a’lanee ma-a’kum fid dunyaa wal aakherate wa ayn yosabbeta lee i’ndakum qadama sidqin fid dunyaa wal aakherate wa as-alohoo ayn yoballeghanil maqaamal mahmooda lakum i’ndal laahe wa ayn yarzoqanee talaba saaree ma-a’ emaamin hodan zaaherin naateqin bil haqqe minkum.
Therefore, I pray to God who has honoured me by giving me the understanding of thy (greatness) and of thy friends, and granted me the grace of dissociation from thy foes, that I be with thee and thy friends within this world and hereafter; and I pray to Him to conduct me to the extolled position which thou hast with God; and to grant that I may seek my revenge in the company of the Manifest Imam, the Speaker of Truth from amongst you; thee and thy friends.
پس سوال کرتا ہوں خدا سے جس نے عزّت دی مجھے آپ کی پہچان اور آپ کے ولیوں کی پہچان کے ذریعےاور مجھے آپ کے دشمنوں سے بیزاری کی توفیق دی یہ کہ مجھے آپ کے ساتھ رکھے دنیا اور آخرت میں اور یہ کہ مجھے آپ کےحضور سچائی کے ساتھ ثابت قدم رکھے دنیا اور آخرت میں اور اس سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ مجھے بھی خدا کے ہاں آپ کے پسندیدہ مقام پر پہنچائے نیز مجھے آپ کے خون کا بدلہ لینا نصیب کرے اس امام کے ساتھ جو ہدایت دینے والا مدد گار رہبرتم میں سےحق بات زبان پر لانے والا ہے۔
وَاَسْئَلُ اللہَ بِحَقِّكُمْ وَبِالشَّانِ الَّذِیْ لَكُمْ عِنْدَہٗ اَنْ یُّعْطِیَنِیْ بِمُصَابِیْ بِكُمْ اَفْضَلَ مَا یُعْطِیْ مُصَابًاۢ بِمُصِیْبَۃٍ مُّصِیْبَۃً مَّا اَعْظَمَھَا وَاَعْظَمَ رَزِیَّتَھَا فِی الْاِسْلَامِ وَفِیْ جَمِیْعِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْنِیْ فِیْ مَقَامِیْ ھٰذَا مِمَّنْ تَنَالُہٗ مِنْكَ صَلَوَاتٌ وَّرَحْمَۃٌ وَّمَغْفِرَۃٌ۔
Wa as-alul laaha be-haqqekum wa bish-shaanil lazee lakum i’ndahu ayn yoa’-teyanee be mosaabee bekum afzala maa yoa’-tee mosaaban be-moseebatin moseebatan maa aa’-zamahaa wa aa’-zama raziyyatahaa fil islaame wa fee jamee-i’s samaawaate wal arz allaahummaj-a’lnee fee maqaamee haazaa mimman tanaalohu minka salawaatun wa rahmatun wa maghferatun.
And I pray to God for the sake of the glory that thou enjoy from Him, that He may bestow upon me the best recompense that He has bestowed upon the sufferers of sorrow, for sorrow and no calamity can be greater than this in the world of Islam. O God, make me, as I stand in this place, one of those who receive Thy blessings, mercy and forgiveness.
اور سوال کرتا ہوں خدا سے آپ کے حق کے واسطے اور آپ کی شان کے واسطے جوآپ اس کے ہاں رکھتے ہیں یہ کہ وہ مجھ کو عطا کرے آپ کی سوگواری پر ایسا بہترین اجر جو اس نے آپ کے کسی سوگوار کو دیاہواس مصیبت پر کہ جو بہت بڑی مصیبت ہے اور اس کا رنج و غم بہت زیادہ ہے اسلام میں اور تمام آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں اے معبود!قرار دے مجھے اس جگہ پر ان ا فراد میں سے جن کو نصیب ہوں تیرے سلام ودرود تیری رحمت اور بخشش۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْیَایَ مَحْیَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَمَمَاتِیْ مَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنَّ ھٰذَا یَوْمٌ تَبَرَّكَتْ بِہٖ بَنُوْ اُمَیَّۃَ وَابْنُ آكِلَۃِ الْاَكْبَادِ اللَّعِیْنُ ابْنُ اللَّعِیْنِ عَلٰی لِسَانِكَ وَلِسَانِ نَبِیِّكَ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ فِیْ كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَّمَوْقِفٍ وَّقَفَ فِیْہِ نَبِیُّكَ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ۔
Allaahumaj-a’l mahyaaya mahyaa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa mamaatee mamaata mohammadin wa aale mohammadin allaahumma inna haazaa yawmun tabarrakat behee banoo umayyata wabno aakelatil akbaadil la-e’enubnul la-e’ene a’laa lesaaneka wa lesaane nabiyyeka sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehee fee kulle mawtenin wa mawqefin waqafa feehe nabiyyoka sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi.
O God, let my life be as the life of Muhammad and his Children, and let my death be as their death. O God, this is a day regarded as a day of happiness by the Bani Umayyas and by the son of the woman who chewed the liver, accursed son of the accursed one; in Thy words and in the words of Thy Prophet, the blessings of God be on him and his Family; in every home and halting-place where Thy Prophet (God bless him and his Family) did tarry.
اے معبود! قرار دے میرا جینا محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ کا سا جینا اور میری موت کو محمد ؐو آل محمدؑ کی موت کے مانند بنا۔ اے معبود! بے شک یہ وہ دن ہے کہ جس کوبنی امیہ اور کلیجے کھانے والی کے بیٹے نے بابرکت جانا جو ملعون ابن ملعون ہے تیری زبان پراور تیرے نبی اکرمؐ کی زبان پر ہر شہر میں جہاں رہے اور ہر جگہ کہ جہاں تیرانبی اکرمؐ ٹھہرے۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ الْعَنْ اَبَا سُفْیَانَ وَمُعَاوِیَۃَ وَیَزِیْدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِیَۃَ عَلَیْھِمْ مِنْكَ اللَّعْنَۃُ اَبَدَ الْآبِدِیْنَ وَھٰذَا یَوْمٌ فَرِحَتْ بِہٖ آلُ زِیَادٍ وَاٰلُ مَرْوَانَ بِقَتْلِھِمُ الْحُسَیْنَ صَلَوٰاتُ اللہِ عَلَیْہِ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ فَضَاعِفْ عَلَیْھِمُ الَّعْنَ مِنْكَ وَالْعَذَابَ الْاَلِیْمَ۔
Allaahummaal-a’n abaa sufyaan wa mo-a’aweyata wa yazeedabna mo-a’aweyata a’layhim minkal la-a’-nato abadal aabedeena wa haazaa yawmun farehat behee aalo zeyaadin wa aalo marwaana be-qatlehemul husayna salawaatul laahe a’layhhe allaahumma fazaa-i’f a’laihemul la-a’-na minka wal a’zaabal aleema.
O God, curse Abu Sufiyan and Mo’awiah; on them be Thy curse through eternity, this is the day whereon the progeny of Ziad and Marwan used to rejoice for their having slain Husain, on whom be the blessings of God, therefore, O God, increase for them Thy curse and painful punishment.
اے معبود! اظہارِ بیزاری کر ابو سفیان اور معاویہ اور یزیدا بن معاویہ سے کہ ان سے اظہارِ بیزاری ہوتیری طرف سے ہمیشہ ہمیشہ اور یہ وہ دن ہے جس میں خوش ہوئی اولادِ زیاد اور اولادِ مروان کہ انہوں نے قتل کیا حسین صلوات اﷲ علیہ کو اے معبود! پس توزیادہ کر دے ان پر اپنی طرف سے لعنت اور عذاب کو۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَیْكَ فِیْ ھٰذَا الْیَوْمِ وَفِیْ مَوْقِفِیْ ھٰذَا وَاَیَّامِ حَیٰوتِیْ بِالْبَرَآئَۃِ مِنْھُمْ وَاللَّعْنَۃِ عَلَیْھِمْ وَبِالْمُوَالَاتِ لِنَبِیِّكَ وَآلِ نَبِیِّكَ عَلَیْہِ وَعَلِیْھِمُ السَّلَامُ۔
Allaahumma innee ataqarrabo ilaika fee haazal yawme wa fee mawqefee haazaa wa ayyaame hayaatee bil baraaa-ate minhum wal la-a’-nate a’layhim wa bil mowaalaate le-nabiyyeka wa aale nabiyyeka a’laihe wa a’laihemus salaamo.
O God, behold, I seek nearness unto Thee, upon this day, in this place where I tarry, and throughout the days of my life, by means of seeking dissociation from them and invoking Thy curse upon them; and through love of Thy Prophet and the Family of Thy Prophet, unto him and unto them be Peace.
اے معبود! بے شک میں تیری قربت چاہتا ہوں کہ آج کے دن میں اس جگہ پر جہاں کھڑا ہوں اور اپنی زندگی کے دنوں میں ان سے بیزاری کرنے کے ذریعے اور ان پر نفرین ولعنت بھیجنے کے ذریعے اور اس دوستی کے وسیلے سےجو مجھے تیرے نبیؐ کی آل ؑسے ہے سلام ہو تیرے نبی ؐاور ان کی آل ؑپر۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ الْعَنْ اَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَہٗ عَلٰی ذٰلِكَ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ الْعَنِ الْعِصَابَۃَ الَّتِیْ جَاھَدَتِ الْحُسَیْنَ وَشَایَعَتْ وَبایَعَتْ وَتَابَعَتْ عَلٰی قَتْلِہٖ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ الْعَنْھُمْ جَمِیْعًا۔
Allaahummal-a’n awwala zaalemin zalama haqqa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa aakhera taabe-i’n lahu a’laa zaaleka allaahummal-a’nil e’saabatal latee jaahadatil husayna wa shaaya-a’t wa baa-ya-a’t wa taa-ba-a’t a’laa qatlehee allahummal-a’nhum jamee-a’n.
O God, curse the first wrongdoer who did injustice to Muhammad and the Children of Muhammad, and (curse) the last of his (wrongdoer) followers in this matter; O God, curse the bigots who fought against Husain, and who followed and swore allegiance and obeyed them in slaying him! O God, curse all of them.
اے معبود! محروم کر اپنی رحمت سے اس پہلے ظالم کو جس نے ضائع کیا محمد ؐو آل محمد ؐکا حق اوراس کو بھی جس نے آخر میں اس کی پیروی کی اے معبود! لعنت کر اس جماعت پر جنہوں نے حسین ؑ سے جنگ کی نیز ان پربھی جو قتل ِحسین ؑ میں ان کے شریک اور ہم رائے تھے اے معبود! ان سب پر لعنت بھیج۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَااَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ وَعَلَی الْاَرْوَاحِ الَّتِیْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَآئِكَ عَلَیْكَ مِنِّیْ سَلَامُ اللہِ اَبَدًا مَّا بَقِیْتُ وَبَقِيَ اللَّیْلُ وَالنَّھَارُ وَلَا جَعَلَہُ اللہُ آخِرَ الْعَھْدِ مِنِّیْ لِزِیَارَتِكُمْ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَی الْحُسَیْنِ وَعَلٰی عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ وَعَلٰی اَوْلَادِ الْحُسَیْنِ وَعَلٰی اَصْحَابِ الْحُسَیْنِ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa abaa a’bdillaahe wa a’lal arwaahil latee hallat befenaa-eka a’laika minne salaamul laahe abadam maa baqeeto wa baqeyal laylo wan nahaaro wa laa ja-a’lahul laaho aakheral a’hde minnee le-zeyaaratekum as-salaamo a’lal husayne wa a’laa a’liyyibnil husayne wa a’laa awlaadil husayne wa a’laa ashaabil husayne.
Peace be unto thee, O Aba Abdillah, and unto the salutations to thee. Unto thee, from me, be Peace eternal, so long as I live, and so long as the days and nights of this world endure; Let not God make this the last occasion of my offering salutations to you. Peace be unto Husain and unto Ali Ibn-ul Husain and unto the children of Husain and unto the companions of Husain.
سلام ہو آپ پراے ابا عبد اللہؑ! اور سلام ان روحوں پر جو آپ کے روضے پر آتی ہیں آپ پر میری طرف سے خدا کا سلام ہو ہمیشہ جب تک زندہ ہوں اور جب تک رات دن باقی ہیں اورخدا اس کو میرے لئے آپ کی زیارت کا آخری موقع قرار نہ دے سلام ہو حسینؑ پر اور شہزادہ علی اکبرؑ فرزندِ حسینؑ پر سلام ہو حسینؑ کی اولاد اور حسینؑ کے اصحاب پر۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ خُصَّ اَنْتَ اَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ بِاللَّعْنِ مِنِّیْ وَابْدَا بِہٖ اَوَّلًا ثُمَّ الثَّانِيَ وَالثَّالِثَ وَالرَّابِعَ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ الْعَنْ یَزِیْدَ خَامِسًا وَالْعَنْ عُبَیْدَ اللہِ بْنَ زِیَادٍ وَابْنَ مَرْجَانَۃَ وَعُمَرَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَشِمْرًا وَآلَ اَبِيْ سُفْیَانَ وَآلَ زِیَادٍ وَآلَ مَرْوَانَ اِلٰی یَوْمِ الْقِیَامَۃِ۔
Allaahumma khussa anta awwala zaalemin bil-laa’-ne minnee wabdaa behee awwalan summas saaneya was-saalesa war-raabe-a’ allaahummal-a’n yazeeda khaamesan wal-a’n o’baydal laahibna zeyaadin wabna marjaanah wa o’marabna sa’din wa shimran wa aala abee sufyaana wa aala zeyaadin wa aala marwaana ilaa yawmil qeyaamate.
O God, earmark the first wrongdoer for Thy curse, invoked by me; and begin by cursing the first, then the second, then the third, then the fourth; O God, curse Yazid as the fifth, and curse Ubaidullah ibn Ziad and the son of Marjans and Umar ibn Saad and Shimr; and the progeny of Abu Sufiyan and the progeny of Ziad and the progeny of Marwan until the Day of Judgement.
اے معبود!تو مخصوص فرما پہلے ظالم کومیری طرف سے لعنت کے ساتھ تو اب اسی لعنت کا آغاز فرماپھرلعنت بھیج دوسرے اور تیسرے اور پھر چوتھے پر لعنت بھیج اے معبود!لعنت کر یزید پر جو پانچواں ہے اور لعنت کرعبیداللہ فرزندِ زیاد پر اور فرزند ِمرجانہ پر عمر فرزندِ سعد پر اور شمر پر اور اولاد ِابوسفیان کواور اولادِ زیاد کو اور اولادِ مروان کو رحمت سے دور کر قیامت کے دن تک۔
Then recite this dua in Sajdah…
اَللّٰھُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدَ الشَّاكِرِیْنَ لَكَ عَلٰی مُصَابِھِمْ۔ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلہِ عَلٰی عَظِیْمِ رَزِیَّتِیْ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ ارْزُقْنِیْ شَفَاعَۃَ الْحُسَیْنِ یَوْمَ الْوُرُوْدِ وَثَبِّتْ لِیْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ الْحُسَیْنِ وَاَصْحَابِ الْحُسَیْنِ الَّذِیْنَ بَذَلُوْا مُھَجَھُمْ دُوْنَ الْحُسَیْنِ عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامُ۔
Allaahumma lakal hamdo hamdash shaakereena laka a’laa mosaabehim alhamdo lillaahe a’laa a’zeeme raziyyatee allaahummar-zuqnee shafaa-a’tal husayne yawmal woroode wa sabbit lee qadama sidqin ’indaka ma-a’l husayne wa ashaabil husaynil lazeena bazaloo mohajahum doonal husayne a’layhis salaamo.
O God, Thine is the Praise-praise offered by the thanks givers unto Thee even in their sorrow. Praise be to God for the great calamity suffered by me. O God, favour me with the intercession of Husain on the Day of Arrival, and make my footsteps firm in the truth in Thy presence along with Husain and his companions, who donated their heart’s blood to defend Husain, on whom be Peace.
اے معبود! تیرے لئے حمد ہے شکر کرنے والوں کی حمد،حمد ہے خدا کے لئے جس نے مجھے عزاداری نصیب کی اے معبود! حشر میں آنے کے دن مجھے حسین ؑ کی شفاعت سے بہرہ مند فرما اور میرے قدم کو سیدھا اور پکا بنا جب میں تیرے پاس آؤں حسین ؑ کے ساتھ اور اصحاب ِحسین ؑ کے ساتھ جنہوں نے حسینؑ کے لئے اپنی جانیں قربان کر دیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
