His Supplication for Good Outcomes
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
يَامَنْ ذِكْرُهٗ شَرَفٌ لِلذَّاكِرِيْنَ، وَيَا مَنْ شُكْرُهٗ فَوْزٌ لِلشَّاكِرِيْنَ، وَيَا مَنْ طَاعَتُهٗ نَجَاةٌ لِلْمُطِيْعِيْنَ، صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ، وَاشْغَلْ قُلُوْبَنَا بِذِكْرِكَ عَنْ كُلِّ ذِكْرٍ، وَاَلْسِنَتَنَا بِشُكْرِكَ عَنْ كُلِّ شُكْرٍ، وَجَوَارِحَنَا بِطَاعَتِكَ عَنْ كُلِّ طَاعَةٍ۔
Yaa man zikruhoo sharafun liz-zaakireena, wayaa man shukruhoo fawzun lish-shaakireena, wayaa man taa'atuhoo najaatun lil-mutee'eena, salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee, washghal quloobanaa bizikrika 'an kulli zikrin, wa-alsinatanaa bishukrika 'an kulli shukrin, wajawaarihanaa bitaa'atika 'an kulli taa'ah.
O He remembering whom brings honour to those who remember! O He thanking whom brings triumph to those who give thanks! O He obeying whom brings deliverance to those who obey! Bless Muhammad and his Household, and divert our hearts through remembering Thee from every act of remembrance, our tongues through thanking Thee from every act of thanksgiving, our limbs through obeying Thee from every act of obedience!
اے وہ ذات! جس کی یاد، یاد کرنے والوں کے لئے سرمایہ عزّت۔ اے وہ جس کا شکر، شکر گزاروں کے لئے وجہ کامرانی۔ اے وہ جس کی فرمانبرداری، فرمانبرداروں کے لئے ذریعہ نجات ہے۔ رحمت نازل فرما محمد اوران کی آل پر اورہمارے دلوں کو اپنی یاد میں اورہماری زبانوں کو اپنے شکریہ میں اور ہمارے اعضا کو اپنی فرمانبرداری میں مصروف رکھ کر ہر یاد،ہر شکریہ اور فرمانبرداری سے بے نیاز کر دے۔
فَاِنْ قَدَّرْتَ لَنَا فَرَاغًا مِنْ شُغْلٍ فَاجْعَلْهُ فَرَاغَ سَلَامَةٍ لَا تُدْرِكُنَا فِيْهِ تَبِعَةٌ، وَلَا تَلْحَقُنَا فِيْهِ سَاْمَةٌ، حَتّٰى يَنْصَرِفَ عَنَّا كُتَّابُ السَّيِّئَاتِ بِصَحِيْفَةٍ خَالِيَةٍ مِّنْ ذِكْرِ سَيِّئَاتِنَا، وَيَتَوَلَّٰى كُتَّابُ الْحَسَنَاتِ عَنَّا مَسْرُوْرِيْنَ بِمَا كَتَبُوْا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِنَا۔
Fa-in qaddarta lanaa faraaghan min shughlin faj'alhu faraagha salaamatin laa tudrikunaa feehi tabi'atun, walaa tal-haqunaa feehi sa'matun, hattaa yansarifa 'annaa kuttaabu as-sayyi'aati bisaheefatin khaaliyatin min zikri sayyi'aatinaa, wayatawallaa kuttaabu al-hasanaati 'annaa masrooreena bimaa kataboo min hasanaatinaa.
If Thou hast ordained for us idleness from these occupations, make it an idleness of safety, within which no ill consequence visits us or weariness overtakes us! Then the writers of evil deeds may depart from us with a page empty of the mention of our evil deeds, and the writers of good deeds may turn away from us happy with the good deeds of ours which they have written.
اوراگر تو نے ہماری مصروفیتوں میں کوئی فراغت کا لمحہ رکھا ہے تو اسے سلامتی سے ہمکنار کر۔ اس طرح کہ نتیجہ میں کوئی گناہ دامن گیر نہ ہو اورنہ خستگی رونما ہو تا کہ برائیوں کو لکھنے والے فرشتے اس طرح پلٹیں کہ نامۂ اعمال ہماری برائیوں کے ذکر سے خالی ہو اور نیکیوں کو لکھنے والے فرشتے ہماری نیکیوں کو لکھ کر مسرور وشاداں واپس ہوں اورجب ہماری زندگی کے دن بیت جائیں اورسلسلہ حیات قطع ہو جائے۔
وَاِذَا انْقَضَتْ اَيَّامُ حَيَاتِنَا، وَتَصَرَّمَتْ مُدَدُ اِعْمَارِنَا، وَاسْتَحْضَرَتْنَا دَعْوَتُكَ الَّتِيْ لَا بُدَّ مِنْهَا وَمِنْ اِجَابَتِهَا، فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ، وَاجْعَلْ خِتَامَ مَا تُحْصِيْ عَلَيْنَا كَتَبَةُ اَعْمَالِنَا تَوْبَةً مَقْبُوْلَةً لَا تُوْقِفُنَا بَعْدَهَا عَلٰى ذَنْۢبٍ اجْتَرَحْنَاهُ، وَلَا مَعْصِيَةٍ اقْتَرَفْنَاهَا وَلَا تَكْشِفْ عَنَّا سِتْرًا سَتَرْتَهٗ عَلٰى رُءُوْسِ الْاَشْهَادِ، يَوْمَ تَبْلُوْ اَخْبَارَ عِبَادِكَ۔
اِنَّكَ رَحِيْمٌ بِمَنْ دَعَاكَ، وَمُسْتَجِيْبٌ لِّمَنْ نَادَاكَ۔
Wa-izaa inqadat ayyaamu hayaatinaa, watasarramat mudadu i'maarinaa, wastahdaratnaa da'watuka allatee laa budda minhaa wamin ijaabatihaa, fasalli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee, waj'al khitaama maa tuhsee 'alaynaa katabatu a'maalinaa tawbatan maqboolatan laa tooqifunaa ba'dahaa 'alaa zanbin ijtarahnaahu, walaa ma'siyatin iqtarafnaahaa walaa takshif 'annaa sitran satartahoo 'alaa ru'oosi al-ashhaadi, yawma tabloo akhbaara 'ibaadik.
Innaka raheemun biman da'aaka, wamustajeebun liman naadaak.
And when the days of our life have passed by, the terms of our lifetimes have elapsed, and Thy call, which must come and be answered, summons us forth, then bless Muhammad and his Household and make the outcome of what the writers of our works count against us an accepted repentance, after which Thou wilt not make us stand before a sin that we committed or an act of disobedience that we performed! Remove not from us any covering with which Thou hast covered over the heads of the witnesses on the day when the records of Thy servants are tried! Verily Thou art compassionate to him who supplicates Thee, the responder to him who calls upon Thee!
اور تیری بارگاہ میں حاضر ہونے کا بلاوا آئے جسے بہرحال آنا اورجس پربہرصورت لبیک کہنا ہے۔ تو محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اورہمارے کاتبان اعمال ہمارے جن اعمال کا شمار کریں اوران میں آخری عمل مقبول توبہ کو قرار دے کہ اس کے بعد ہمارے ان گناہوں اورہماری ان معصیتوں پر جن کے ہم مرتکب ہوئے ہیں سرزنش نہ کرے اورجب اپنے بندوں کے حالات جانچے تو اس پردہ کو جو تو نے ہمارے گناہوں پر ڈالا ہے سب کے رو برو چاک نہ کرے بے شک جو تجھے بلائے تو اس پر مہربانی کرتا ہے اور جو تجھے پکارے تو اس کی سنتا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
