شیخ طوسی نے امام علیؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ اس مختصر دعا کو ختم قُرآن کے بعد پڑھا جائے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اشْرَحْ بِالْقُرْآنِ صَدْرِیْ وَاسْتَعْمِلْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَدَنِیْ وَنَوِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَصَرِیْ وَاَطْلِقْ بِالْقُرْآنِ لِسَانِیْ وَاَعِنِّیْ عَلَیْهِ مَا اَبْقَیْتَنِیْ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِكَ۔
Allaahumma ishrah bil-qur'aani sadree wasta'mil bil-qur'aani badanee wanawwir bil-qur'aani basaree wa-atliq bil-qur'aani lisaanee wa-a'innee 'alayhi maa abqaytanee fa-innahoo laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa bik.
O Allah! Expand my heart by the Holy Quran and make me use my body for the Holy Quran, illuminate my eyes with the Holy Quran, make my tongue speak the Holy Quran, and give me Your grace to adhere to its commands the whole life, for surely there is no power or might except in You.
اے معبود! میرے سینے کو قرآن کے ذریعہ کشادہ کر دے، میرے بدن کو قرآن پر عمل پیرا بنا دے، میری آنکھوں کو قرآن سے روشن کر دے اور میری زبان کو قرآن کے لئے رواں کر دے اور جب تک مجھے زندہ رکھے اس میں میرا مدد گار رہے کہ نہیں کوئی حرکت و قوّت مگر جو تیری طرف سے ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
