ہمارے شیخؒ صاحبِ مستدرک الوسائل نے زادالفردوس سے عقدِ اخوّت کی کیفیت یوں نقل کی ہے کہ اپنا دایاں ہاتھ اپنے برادرِ مومن کے داہنے ہاتھ پر رکھ کر کہے۔۔۔
اٰخَيْتُكَ فِي اللهِ وَصَافَيْتُكَ فِي اللهِ وَصَافَحْتُكَ فِي اللهِ وَعَاهَدْتُ اللهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهٗ وَكُتُبَهٗ وَرُسُلَهٗ وَاَنْبِيَاءَهٗ وَالْاَئِمَّةَ الْمَعْصُوْمِيْنَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ عَلٰى اَنِّيْ اِنْ كُنْتُ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَالشَّفَاعَةِ وَاُذِنَ لِيْ بِاَنْ اَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ لَا اَدْخُلُهَا اِلَّا وَاَنْتَ مَعِيْ۔
Aakhaytuka fee allaahi wasaafaytuka fee allaahi wasaafahtuka fee allaahi wa'aahadtu allaaha wamalaa'ikatahoo wakutubahoo warusulahoo wa-anbiyaa'ahoo wal-a'immata al-ma'soomeena 'alayhimu as-salaamu 'alaa annee in kuntu min ahli al-jannati wash-shafaa'ati wa-uzina lee bi-an adkhula al-jannata laa adkhuluhaa illaa wa-anta ma'ee.
I declare my brotherhood with you for the sake of Allah, I establish friendly terms with you for the sake of Allah, I shake hands with you for the sake of Allah, I promise Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, His Prophets, and the Infallible Imams, peace be upon them, that if I will be an inhabitant of Paradise, allowed to intercede for others, and if I will be allowed Paradise, I will not enter it unless you accompany me therein.
میں بھائی بنا تمہارا راہِ خدا میں،میں تمہارا مخلص ہوا راہِ خدا میں میں نے ہاتھ ملایا تم سے راہِ خدا میں اور عہد کرتا ہوں خدا سے اس کے فرشتوں سے اس کی کتابوں اور اس کے رسولوں اس کے نبیوں سے اور ائمہ معصومینؑ سے اس بات کا کہ اگر میں ہو جاؤں بہشت والوں اور شفاعت حاصل کرنے والوں میں اور مجھے جنت میں داخلے کا حکم ہوا تو جنت میں تجھے ساتھ لئے بغیر نہیں داخل ہوں گا۔

قَبِلْتُ۔

اور پھر یہ کہے۔۔۔
اَسْقَطْتُ عَنْكَ جَمِيْعَ حُقُوْقِ الْاُخُوَّةِ مَا خَلَا الشَّفَاعَةَ وَالدُّعَاءَ وَالزِّيَارَةَ۔
Asqattu 'anka jamee'a huqooqi al-ukhuwwati maa khalaa ash-shafaa'ata wad-du'aa'a waz-ziyaarah.
I thus release you from all the duties of fraternity except intercession, supplication, and visiting (one another).
میں نے تجھ سے بھائی چارے کے تمام حقوق ساقط کردئیے سوائے شفاعت کرنے دعائے خیر کرنے اور ملاقات کرنے کے۔
