Allahumma… be-haqqe Muhammad
اَللّٰهُمَّ۔۔۔ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ
A supplication for the day the text itself calls Allah’s greatest feast — “the Day of the Promised Covenant” in the heavens and “the Day of the Exacted Covenant and the Witnessed Crowd” on earth: the Eid of Ghadir.
It asks by the right of the Holy Prophet (s) and of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a), and by the standing Allah gave the two of them above the rest of creation, that He bless them and begin with them in every good. It names the Ahl al-Bayt (a) as the People of the Reminder whom the Qur’an tells the believers to ask, and the near relatives whose love was made a duty.
Its closing petition is unusually direct: that whoever denies the sanctity of this day be cursed, for having tried to put out a light Allah will not allow to be extinguished.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَلِيِّكَ وَالشَّاْنِ وَالْقَدْرِ الَّذِيْ خَصَصْتَهُمَا بِهٖ دُوْنَ خَلْقِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ وَّاَنْ تَبْدَاَ بِهِمَا فِيْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ عَاجِلٍ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْقَادَةِ وَالدُّعَاةِ السَّادَةِ وَالنُّجُوْمِ الزَّاهِرَةِ وَالْاَعْلَامِ الْبَاهِرَةِ وَسَاسَةِ الْعِبَادِ وَاَرْكَانِ الْبِلَادِ وَالنَّاقَةِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ وَالسَّفِيْنَةِ النَّاجِيَةِ الْجَارِيَةِ فِيْ اللُّجَجِ الْغَامِرَةِ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ خُزَّانِ عِلْمِكَ وَاَرْكَانِ تَوْحِيْدِكَ وَدَعَائِمِ دِيْنِكَ وَمَعَادِنِ كَرَامَتِكَ وَصَفْوَتِكَ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ الْاَتْقِيَاءِ النُّجَبَاءِ الْاَبْرَارِ وَالْبَابِ الْمُبْتَلٰى بِهِ النَّاسُ مَنْ اَتَاهُ نَجَا وَمَنْ اَبَاهُ هَوٰى۔
Allaahumma innee as-aloka behaqqe mohammadin nabiyyeka wa a'liyyin waliyyeka wash-shane wal qadril lazee khasastahomaa behi doona khalqeka an tosalleya a'laa mohammadiwn wa a'liyyin wa an tab-da-a behemaa fee kulle khayrin a'ajelin.
Allaahumma salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadenil aimmatil qaadate wad do-a'aatis saadate wan nojoomiz zaaherate wal a-a'laamil baaherate wa saasatal e'baade wa arkaanil belaade wan naaqatil mursalate was safeenatin naajeyatil jaareyate fil lojajil ghaamerate.
Allaahumma salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin khuzzane i'lmeka wa arkaane tawheedeka da-a'aa-eme deeneka wa ma-a'adene karaamateka wa sifwateka min bariyyateka wa kheyarateka min khalqekal atqeyaaa-il anqeyaaa-in nojabaaa-il abraare wal baabil mubtalaa behin naaso min ataaho najaa wa man abaaho hawaa.
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad, Your Prophet, in the name of Ali, Your Representative (Wali), and in the name of the stature and standing that You have given exclusively to them rather than Your other creatures, to send blessings to Muhammad and Ali and begin with both of them in any immediate item of goodness. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad; the Imams, the leaders, the promulgators (to You), the masters, the shining stars, the splendid signs, the governors of the servants (of You), the pillars of the countries, the (like of the) she-camel that was sent by You, and the ark that saves (from sinking in straying off from the right path) and runs peacefully in the depths of oceans. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad; the keepers of Your knowledge, the pillars of the professing of Your Oneness, the supports of Your religion, the cores of Your honoring, the choicest among Your creatures, the best of Your beings, the pious, the pure, the outstanding, the virtuous, and the door that is decided as trial for people he who comes through it shall be saved but he who rejects it shall fail indeed.
اے معبود! میں سوال کرتا ہوں تجھ سے تیرے نبی محمدؐ مصطفی ٰاور تیرے ولی علی مرتضیٰ ؑکے واسطے سے اور اس عزت و شان کے واسطے سےجس سے تو نے ان دونوں کو اپنی مخلوق میں خاص کیا یہ کہ محمدؐ و علیؑ پر رحمت فرما اور یہ کہ ہر خیر و خوبی ان دونوں کو جلد عطا فرما۔ اے معبود! حضرت محمدؐ اور ان کی آل ؑپر رحمت فرما جو امام و رہبر اور داعی حق و سردار ہیں وہ روشن ستارے اور چمکتے نشان ہیں وہ لوگوں کے پیشوا اور شہروں کے ستون ہیں وہ ناقۂ صاؑلح کے مانند اور کشتی نوح ؑکی مثل ہیں جو پانی کی بڑی بڑی لہروں میں چل رہی تھی۔ اے معبود! محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما جو تیرے علم کے خزانے تیری توحید کے عمود و ستون تیرے دین کے سہارے تیرے احسان و کرم کی کانیں تیری مخلوقات میں سے چنے ہوئے تیر ی مخلوق میں سے پسندیدہ پرہیزگار پاکیزہ بزرگوار نیکوکار اور وہ دروازہ ہیں جس کے ذریعے لوگ آزمائے گئے جو اس در سے گزرا نجات پا گیا جس نے انکار کیا تباہ ہوا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اَهْلِ الذِّكْرِ الَّذِيْنَ اَمَرْتَ بِمَسْاَلَتِهِمْ وَذَوِيْ الْقُرْبَى الَّذِيْنَ اَمَرْتَ بِمَوَدَّتِهِمْ وَفَرَضْتَ حَقَّهُمْ وَجَعَلْتَ الْجَنَّةَ مَعَادَ مَنِ اقْتَصَّ آثَارَهُمْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا اَمَرُوْا بِطَاعَتِكَ وَنَهَوْا عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ وَدَلُّوْا عِبَادَكَ عَلٰى وَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ وَنَجِيْبِكَ وَصِفْوَتِكَ وَاَمِيْنِكَ وَرَسُوْلِكَ اِلٰى خَلْقِكَ وَبِحَقِّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَيَعْسُوْبِ الدِّيْنِ وَقَائِدِ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِيْنَ الْوَصِيِّ الْوَفِيِّ وَالصِّدِّيْقِ الْاَكْبَرِ وَالْفَارُوْقِ بَيْنَ الْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ وَالشَّاهِدِ لَكَ وَالدَّالِّ عَلَيْكَ وَالصَّادِعِ بِاَمْرِكَ وَالْمُجَاهِدِ فِيْ سَبِيْلِكَ لَمْ تَاْخُذْهُ فِيْكَ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِيْ فِيْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ الَّذِيْ عَقَدْتَ فِيْهِ لِوَلِيِّكَ الْعَهْدَ فِيْ اَعْنَاقِ خَلْقِكَ وَاَكْمَلْتَ لَهُمُ الدِّيْنَ مِنَ الْعَارِفِيْنَ بِحُرْمَتِهٖ وَالْمُقِرِّيْنَ بِفَضْلِهٖ مِنْ عُتَقَائِكَ وَطُلَقَائِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَلَا تُشْمِتَ بِيْ حَاسِدِيْ النِّعَمِ۔
Allaahumma salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin ahliz zikril lazeena amarta bemas-alatehim wa zawil qurbal lazeena amarta bemawaddatehim wa farazta haqqahum wa ja-a'ltal jannata ma-a'ada maniq tassa aasaarahum allaahumma salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin kamaa amaroo be-taa-a'teka wa nahaw a'n ma'seyateka wa dalloo e'baadaka a'laa wahdaaniyyateka.
Allaahumma innee as-aloka behaqqe mohammadin nabiyyeka wa najeebeka wa safwateka wa ameeneka wa rasooleka elaa khalqeka wa behaqqe ameeril moameneena wa ya'soobid deene wa qaaa-edil ghurril mohajjaleenal wasiyyil wafiyye was siddeeqil akbare wal faarooqe baynal haqqe wal baatele wash shaahede laka wad daalle a'layka was saade-e' be-amreka wal mojaahede fee sabeeleka lam taakhozahu feeka lawmato laaa-emin.
An tosalleya a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa an taj-a'lanee fee haazal yawmil lazee a'qadta feehe lewaliyyekal a'hde fee a-a'naaqe khalqeka wa akmalta lahomud deena menal a'arefeena behurmatehi wal moqirreena fe-fazleka min o'ta-qaaa-eka wa tola-qaaa-eka menan naare wa laa tushmit bee haasedin ne-a'me.
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad; the People of the Reminder whom You have ordered us to ask (when we do not know), the near relatives (of the Holy Prophet) whom You have ordered us to love, whose rights You have made incumbent (upon us), and whom You have decided Paradise as the reward of whoever follows their patterns. O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad as they instructed (us) to obey You, warned (us) against disobeying You, and led Your servants to Your Oneness. O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad; Your Prophet, Your superior servant, Your choice, Your trusted one, Your messenger to Your creatures; and (I beseech You) in the name of the Commander of the Believers (Amir al-Mu'minin), the chief of the religion, the leader of the white-faced and marked on the foreheads, the faithful, the loyal, the greatest veracious, the distinguisher between the right and the wrong, the witness for You, the guide to You, the expounder of what You have commanded, the striver in Your way, and who never listened to any word of blame for Your sake. (I beseech You) to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, to include me on this day on which You established the pledge to Your Representative in the necks of Your servants and You thus perfected the religion for them, (to include me) with those who recognize the actual sanctity of him and those who acknowledge his precedence, and to include me with those whom You decide to release from Hellfire. (Please) do not let those who envy the bounties (that You confer upon certain persons) rejoice at my misfortunes.
اے معبود! محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما جو ایسے اہلِ ذکر ہیں کہ تو نے ان سے پوچھنے کا حکم دیا وہ وہی اقرباء پیغمبر ؐہیں کہ جن سے محبت کرنے کا تو نے حکم دیا ان کا حق واجب کر دیا اور جو ان کے نقش قدم پر چلے اس کا گھر جنت میں قرار دیا۔ اے معبود! محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما جیسا کہ انہوں نے تیری فرماں برداری کا حکم دیا تیری نافرمانی سے روکا اور تیری توحید و یکتائی کی طرف لوگوں کی رہنمائی کی۔ اے معبود! میں سوال کرتا ہوں تجھ سے حضرت محمدؐ کے واسطے سےجو تیرے نبیؐ تیرے چنے ہوئے تیرے پسند کیے ہوئے تیرے امانت دار اور تیری مخلوق کی طرف تیرے رسولؐ ہیں اور میں سوالی ہوں امیرالمومنینؑ اہل ِدین کے سردار نیکوکار لوگوں کے پیشوا وصی رسول کے واسطے سے جو وفادارسب سے بڑے تصدیق کرنے والے حق وباطل میں فرق کرنے والے تیری گواہی دینے والے تیری طرف رہنمائی کرنے والے تیرے حکم کو نافذ کرنے والے تیری راہ میں جہاد کرنے والے جن کو تیرے بارے میں کسی ملامت کی کچھ پروا نہیں تھی یہ کہ محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور مجھ کو قرار دے آج کے دن میں جس میں تو نے اپنے ولی ؑکے عہدۂ امامت کا بندھن اپنی مخلوق کی گردنوں میں ڈالا اور تو نے ان کے لئے دین کو مکمل کیا جو اس کی حرمت سے واقف اوراس کی بزرگی کو مانتے ہیں کہ جن کو تو نے جہنم سے آزاد اور رہا کر دیا ہے نیز نعمتوں پر حسد کرنے والے کو میرے بارے میں خوش نہ کر۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَكَمَا جَعَلْتَهٗ عِيْدَكَ الْاَكْبَرَ وَسَمَّيْتَهٗ فِيْ السَّمَاءِ يَوْمَ الْعَهْدِ الْمَعْهُوْدِ وَفِيْ الْاَرْضِ يَوْمَ الْمِيْثَاقِ الْمَاْخُوْذِ وَالْجَمْعِ الْمَسْئُوْلِ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَقْرِرْ بِهٖ عُيُوْنَنَا وَاجْمَعْ بِهٖ شَمْلَنَا وَلَا تُضِلَّنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا لِاَنْعُمِكَ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ يَااَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ۔ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ عَرَّفَنَا فَضْلَ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَبَصَّرَنَا حُرْمَتَهٗ وَكَرَّمَنَا بِهٖ وَشَرَّفَنَا بِمَعْرِفَتِهٖ وَهَدَانَا بِنُوْرِهٖ۔ يَارَسُوْلَ اللهِ يَااَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ عَلَيْكُمَا وَعَلٰى عِتْرَتِكُمَا وَعَلٰى مُحِبِّيْكُمَا مِنِّيْ اَفْضَلُ السَّلَامِ مَا بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَبِكُمَا اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَى اللهِ رَبِّيْ وَرَبِّكُمَا فِيْ نَجَاحِ طَلِبَتِيْ وَقَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِيْ وَتَيْسِيْرِ اُمُوْرِيْ۔
Allaahumma fakamaa ja-a'ltahu e'edakal akbara wa sammaytahu fis samaaa-e yawmal a'hdil ma'hoode wa fil arze yawmal meesaaqil maakhooze wal jam-i'l mas-oole salle a'laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa aqrir behi o'yoonanaa waj ma' behi shamlanaa wa laa tozillanaa ba'da iz hadaytanaa waj a'lnaa le-an-o'meka menash shaakereena yaa arhamar raahemeena.
Alhamdo lillaahil lazee a'rrafanaa fazla haazal yawme wa bas-saranaa hurmatahu wa karramanaa behi wa sharrafanaa bema'refatehi wa hadaanaa benoorehi yaa rasoolal laahe yaa ameeral moameneena a'laykomaa wa a'laa i'tratekomaa wa a'laa mohibbeekomaa minnee afzalus salaame maa baqeyal laylo wan nahaaro wa bekomaa atawajjaho elal laahe rabbee wa rabbekomaa fee najaahe talebatee wa qazaaa-e hawaaa-ejee wa tayseere omooree.
O Allah, as You have made this day Your greatest feast day, You have named it “the Day of the Promised Covenant” in the heavens, and You have named it “the Day of the Exacted Covenant and the Witnessed Crowd” in the earth, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, give us delight of our eyes through him, reunify us through him, do not mislead us after You have guided us to the right path, and make us of those who thank Your bounties. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! All praise be to Allah Who has made us recognize the merit of this day, attracted our attentions to its sanctity, honored us on it, ennobled us through our recognition of it, and guided us through its light. O Messenger of Allah! O Commander of the Believers! Upon you, your household, and your followers be the most excellent peace so long as night and day endure. Through you both do I direct toward Allah, my Lord and Your Lord, (and I beseech Him) to respond to my requests, settle my needs, and make easy all my affairs.
اے معبود! جیسے تو نے اس دن کو اپنی طرف سے بڑی عید قرار دیا آسمان میں اس کا نام یوم ِعہد و پیمان مقرر کیا ہے اور زمین میں اسے یوم المیثاق بنایا جس کے بارے میں باز پُرس ہوگی اسی طرح محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت فرما اور اس کے ذریعے ہماری آنکھیں ٹھنڈی کر اس سے ہمیں متحد کر دے ہدایت دینے کے بعدہمیں گمراہ نہ ہونے دے اور ہمیں اپنی نعمتوں پر شکر ادا کرنے والے بنا دے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔ حمد ہے اللہ کے لئے جس نے ہمیں آج کے دن کی بزرگی سے آگاہ کیا اس کی حرمت سے با خبر کیا اس سے ہمیں عزت دی اور اس کی معرفت سے بڑائی عطا کی اور اپنے نور سے ہدایت دی اے اللہ کے رسولؐ اے مؤمنوں کے امیرؑ آپ دونوں پرآپ کے اہل بؑیت پر اور آپ کے محبوں پر میرا بہت بہت سلام ہو جب تک دن رات کی آمد و رفت قائم رہے اور آپ دونوں کے واسطے سےمیں متوجہ ہوا آپ ؑکے اور اپنے رب کی طرف اپنے مقصد کے حصول، حاجتوں کے پورا ہونے اور کاموں میں آسانی کے لیے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَلْعَنَ مَنْ جَحَدَ حَقَّ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَاَنْكَرَ حُرْمَتَهٗ فَصَدَّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِكَ لِاِطْفَاءِ نُوْرِكَ فَاَبَى اللهُ اِلَّا اَنْ يُتِمَّ نُوْرَهٗ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ وَاكْشِفْ عَنْهُمْ وَبِهِمْ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ الْكُرُبَاتِ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ امْلَاِ الْاَرْضَ بِهِمْ عَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَّجَوْرًا وَّاَنْجِزْ لَهُمْ مَا وَعَدْتَهُمْ اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ۔
Allaahumma innee as-aloka be-haqqe mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin an to-salle-ya a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin wa an tal-a’na man jahada haqqa haazal yawme wa ankara hurmata-hu fa-sadda a’n sabeele-ka le-itfaa-e noore-ka fa-abal-laaho illaa an yo-timma noora-hu.
Allaahumma farrij a’n ahle-baiyte nabiyye-ka wak-shif a’n-hum a’nil mo-menee-nal koro-baate.
Allaahum-mal la-il-arza be-him a’dlan kamaa mole-at zulman wa jawran wa anjeez la-hum maa wa a’dta-hum inna-ka laa tukh-le-ful mee-aa’da.
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and curse whoever denies the holiness of this day and denies its sanctity; thus, he hindered from Your way intending to extinguish Your light, but Allah will not consent save to perfect His light. O Allah, (please do) relieve misfortunes from the Household of Muhammad, Your Prophet and relieve the anguishes of them and of the believers through them. O Allah, (please do) fill the earth with justice through them just as it has been full with injustice and unfairness, and (please do) fulfill Your promise to them, for You surely do not break Your promises.
اے معبود! میں سوال کرتا ہوں تجھ سے محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ کے واسطے سے یہ کہ محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور جو آج کے دن کے حق سے انکار کرے اس پر لعنت کر اور اس کے احترام سے پھیرے پس وہ تیرے نور کو بجھانےکے لیے تیرے راستے سے روکتا ہے لیکن خدا کو یہ منظور نہیں وہ تو اپنے نور کو کامل کرے گا۔ اے معبود! اپنے نبی محمد مصطفیٰؐ کے اہل بؑیت کے لئے کشادگی فرما ان کی مشکل دور کردے اور ان کے وسیلے سے مومنوں کی تنگیاں برطرف کردے اے اللہ ! اس زمین کو ان کے ذریعے عدل سے بھر دے جیسا کہ وہ ظلم و ستم سے بھری ہوئی ہے اور عطا کر انہیں جس کا ان سے وعدہ کر رکھا ہے بے شک تو وعدے کے خلاف نہیں کرتا ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
