Ismail, was the elder son of Imam Jafar Sadiq (a). Some Shias considered him as the 7th Imam. This sect is known as Ismailis, although the deceased himself had belief in the Imamate of his brother, Imam Musa Kazim (a). Imam Kazim (a) also respected him. The Ziyarat of Ismail is as follows…
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰی جَدِّكَ الْمُصْطَفٰی۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰی اَبِیْكَ الْمُرْتَضَی الرِّضَا۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَی السَّیِّدَیْنِ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَیْنِ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰی خَدِیْجَۃَ اُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ اُمِّ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَآئِ الْعَالَمِیْنَ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلٰی فَاطِمَۃَ اُمِّ الْاَئِمَّۃِ الطَّاہِرِیْنَ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَی النُّفُوْسِ الْفَاخِرَۃِ بُحُوْرِ الْعُلُوْمِ الزَّاخِرَۃِ شُفَعَآئِیْ فِی الْآخِرَۃِ وَاَوْلِیَآئِیْ عِنْدَ عَوْدِ الرُّوْحِ اِلَی الْعِظَامِ النَّخِرَۃِ اَئِمَّۃِ الْخَلْقِ وَ وُلَاۃِ الْحَقِّ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّہَا الشَّخْصُ الشَّرِیْفُ اِسْمَاعِیْلُ بْنُ مَوْلَانَا جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ الصَّادِقِ الطَّاہِرِ الْكَرِیْمِ۔
اَشْہَدُ اَنْ لَّا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَاَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُہٗ وَمُصْطَفٰیہُ وَاَنَّ عَلِیًّا وَلِیُّہٗ وَمُجْتَبٰیہُ اَنَّ الْاِمَامَۃَ فِیْ وُلْدِہٖ اِلٰی یَوْمِ الدِّیْنِ نَعْلَمُ ذٰلِكَ عِلْمَ الْیَقِیْنِ وَنَحْنُ لِذٰلِكَ مُعْتَقِدُوْنَ وَفِیْ نَصْرِہِمْ مُجْتَہِدُوْنَ۔
As-salaamu 'alaa jaddika al-mustafaa.
As-salaamu 'alaa abeeka al-murtadaa ar-ridaa.
As-salaamu 'alaa as-sayyidayni al-hasani wal-husayn.
As-salaamu 'alaa khadeejata ummi al-mu'mineena ummi sayyidati nisaa'i al-'aalameen.
As-salaamu 'alaa faatimata ummi al-a'immati at-taahireen.
As-salaamu 'alaa an-nufoosi al-faakhirati buhoori al-'uloomi az-zaakhirati shufa'aa'ee fee al-aakhirati wa-awliyaa'ee 'inda 'awdi ar-roohi ilaa al-'izaami an-nakhirati a'immati al-khalqi wa wulaati al-haqq.
As-salaamu 'alayka ayyuhaa ash-shakhsu ash-shareefu ismaa'eelu ibnu mawlaanaa ja'fari ibni muhammadi as-saadiqi at-taahiri al-kareem.
Ashhadu an laa ilaaha illaa allaahu wa-anna muhammadan 'abduhoo wamustafaahu wa-anna 'aliyyan waliyyuhoo wamujtabaahu anna al-imaamata fee wuldihee ilaa yawmi ad-deeni na'lamu zaalika 'ilma al-yaqeeni wanahnu lizaalika mu'taqidoona wafee nasrihim mujtahidoon.
Peace be upon your forefather, the Chosen Prophet! Peace be upon your father, the well-pleased! Peace be upon the two chiefs, al-Hasan and al-Husayn! Peace be upon Khadijah, the mother of the believers, and mother of the doyenne of the women of the world! Peace be upon Fatimah, the mother of the Immaculate Imams! Peace be upon the excellent souls, the oceans of the abundant knowledge, my interceders in the Hereafter, and my masters when the soul shall be returned to the rotten bones; namely, the leaders of the creatures and the true masters! Peace be upon you, O honorable person, Ismail, son of our master, Ja 'far son of Muhammad, the veracious, immaculate, and noble! I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and chosen Prophet, and that 'Ali is His intimate and selected servant, and that Imamate is for his descendants up to the Judgment Day. We recognize so with certain knowledge and we believe in so and we exert all our efforts in supporting them.
سلام ہو آپ کے جد بزرگوار مصطفٰیؐ پر، سلام ہو آپ کے پدر بزرگوار علی مرتضٰیؑ پر، سلام ہو دونوں سرداروں حسنؑ اور حسینؑ پر، سلام ہو جناب خدیجہ ام المومنین پر جو جناب سیدہ نساء عالمین کی ماں ہیں۔ سلام ہو ائمہ اطہارؑ کی ماں جناب فاطمہ زہراؑ پر۔ سلام ہو عمدہ نفوس پر جو علوم کے بحر ذاخر ہیں اور جو آخرت میں میرے شفیع ہیں اور میرے اولیا ء ہیں اس وقت جب روح بوسیدہ ہڈیوں کی طرف لوٹ جائے گی وہ حضرت خلق خدا کے امام اور حق کے ولی ہیں، آپ پر سلام ہو اے شریف اسماعیل بن مولانا جعفر بن محمدؑ جو صادق طاہر کریم امام تھے۔ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ خدا کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں اور محمدؐ اس کے بندہ اور منتخب کیئے ہوے ہیں اور گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ علیؑ اللہ کے ولی اور برگزیدہ ہیں اور یہ کہ امامت انہیں حضرت کی اولاد میں قیامت تک رہےگی، اس بات کو ہم علم یقین کے ساتھ جانتے ہیں اور اسی کا اعتقاد رکھتے ہیں اور ان ائمہ حضراتؑ کی نصرت میں کوشش کرنے والے ہیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
