زیارتِ معراج
Ziyarat of Imam Ali (a) on Eve of 27th Rajab
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللہُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَهٗ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ وَاَنَّ عَلِیَّ بْنَ اَبِیْ طَالِبٍ اَمِیْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ عَبْدُ اللہِ وَاَخُوْ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَاَنَّ الْاَئِمَّۃَ الطَّاهِرِیْنَ مِنْ وُلْدِهٖ حُجَجُ اللہِ عَلٰی خَلْقِهٖ۔
Ash-hado an laa elaaha illal laaho wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hado anna mohammadan a’bdohu wa rasoolohu wa anna a’li yabna abee taalebin ameeral momeneena a’bdul laahe wa akhoo rasoolehi wa annal a-immatat taahereena min wuldehe hojajul laahe a’laa khalqehi.
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, alone without having any associate. and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, and that Ali ibn Abu-Talib, the commander of the believers, is the brother of His Messenger, and that the immaculate Imams from his offspring are Allah’s arguments against His creatures.
میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو یگانہ ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ حضرت محمدؐ اس کے بندے اور رسولؐ ہیں اور یہ کہ علی ابن ابی طالب ؑ مومنوں کے امیر خدا کے بندے اور رسولؐ کے بھائی ہیں اور وہ پاک و پاکیزہ امام جو ان کی اولاد سے ہیں وہ مخلوقِ خدا پر اس کی حجت ہیں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ۔
Allahu akbar.
Allah is Greatest.
اللہ بزرگ تر ہے۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ اٰدَمَ خَلِیْفَۃِ اللہ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ نُوْحٍ صَفْوَۃِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ اِبْرَاھِیْمَ خَلِیْلِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ مُوْسٰی كَلِیْمِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ عِیْسٰی رُوْحِ اللہِ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa aadama khaleefatil laahe as-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa noohin safwatil laahe as-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa ibraaheema khaleelil laahe as-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa moosaa kaleemil laahe as-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa e’esaa roohil laahe.
Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Adam, the vicegerent of Allah. Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Noah, the choice of Allah. Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Abraham, the intimate friend of Allah. Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Moses, the spoken by Allah. Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Jesus, the spirit of Allah.
آپ پر سلام ہو اے وارث ِآدمؑ جو خلیفۂ خدا ہیں! آپ پر سلام ہو اے وارث ِنوح ؑجو خدا کے برگزیدہ ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو اے وارثِ ابراہیمؑ جو خدا کے دوست ہیں سلام ہوآپ پر اے وارث ِموسیٰٰؑ جو خدا کے کلیم ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو اے وارثِ عیسٰیؑ جو روح ِخدا ہیں۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَیِّدِ رُسُلِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اَمِیْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اِمَامَ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا سَیِّدَ الْوَصِیِّیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَصِیَّ رَسُوْلِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa mohammadin sayyede rosolillaahe as-salaamo a’laika yaa ameeral momineena as-salaamo a’laika yaa emamal muttaqeena as-salaamo a’laika yaa sayyedal wasiyyeena as-salaamo a’laika yaa wasiyya rasoole rabbil a’alameena.
Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of Muhammad, the chief of Allah’s Messengers. Peace be upon you; O the commander of the believers. Peace be upon you; O the epitome of the pious ones. Peace be upon you; O the chief of the Prophets’ successors. Peace be upon you; O the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds.
آپ پر سلام ہو اے وارث محمدؐ جو خدا کے رسولوں کے سردار ہیں سلام ہو آپ پر اے مومنوں کے امیرؑ آپ پر سلام ہو اے پرہیز گاروں کے امامؑ سلام ہو آپ پر اے اوصیاء کے سردار آپ پر سلام ہو اے جہانوں کے پروردگار کے رسولؐ کے وصی۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا وَارِثَ عِلْمِ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا النَّبَاُ الْعَظِیْمُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا الصِّرَاطُ الْمُسْتَقِیْمُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّهَا الْمُهَذَّبُ الْكَرِیْمُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا الْوَصِیُّ التَّقِیُّ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa waaresa i’lmil awwaleena wal aakherena as-salaamo a’laika ayyohan naba-ul a’zeemo as-salaamo a’laika ayyohas seraatul mustaqeemo as-salaamo a’laika ayyohal mohazzabul kareemo as-salaamo a’laika ayyohal wasiyyut taqiyyo.
Peace be upon you; O the inheritor of the knowledge of the past and the coming generations. Peace be upon you; O the Great News. Peace be upon you; O the Straight Path. Peace be upon; O the noble, refined one. Peace be upon you; O the pious successor (of the Prophet).
سلام ہو آپ پر اے اولین و آخرین کے علم کے ورثہ دار سلام ہوآپ پر کہ آپ بہت بڑی خبر ہیں آپ پر سلام ہوکہ آپ ہی صراط مستقیم ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ سنوارے ہوئے صاحب ِمرتبہ ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ پرہیزگار وصی ہیں۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا الرَّضِیُّ الزَّكِیُّ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا الْبَدْرُ الْمُضِیْءُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا الصِّدِّیْقُ الْاَكْبَرُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا الْفَارُوْقُ الْاَعْظَمُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ اَیُّھَا السِّرَاجُ الْمُنِیْرُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا اِمَامَ الْھُدٰی۔
As-salaamo a’laika ayyohar raziyyuz zakiyyo as-salaamo a’laika ayyohal bad-rul mozee-o as-salaamo a’laika ayyohas siddeequl akbaro as-salaamo a’laika ayyohal faarooqul a-a’zamo as-salaamo a’laika ayyohas seraajul moneero as-salaamo a’laika yaa emaamal hodaa.
Peace be upon you; O the well-pleased, pure one. Peace be upon you; O the shining full moon. Peace be upon you; O the grandest veracious one. Peace be upon you; O the greatest distinguisher (between the right and the wrong). Peace be upon you; O the glowing lantern. Peace be upon you; O the leader to the true guidance.
آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ راضی شدہ پاک شدہ ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ چودھویں کے چمکتے چاند ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ سب سے بڑے تصدیق کرنے والے ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ سب سے بڑھ کر حق و باطل میں فرق کرنے والے ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو کہ آپ روشن و تاباں چراغ ہیں آپ پر سلام ہو اے ہدایت دینے والے امامؑ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا عَلَمَ التُّقٰی۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا حُجَّۃَ اللہِ الْكُبْرٰی۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَا خَآصَّۃَ اللہِ وَخَالِصَتَهٗ وَاَمِیْنَ اللہِ وَصَفْوَتَهٗ وَبَابَ اللہِ وَحُجَّتَهٗ وَمَعْدِنَ حُكْمِ اللہِ وَسِرِّهٖ وَعَیْبَۃَ عِلْمِ اللہِ وَخَازِنَهٗ وَسَفِیْرَ اللہِ فِیْ خَلْقِهٖ۔
As-salaamo a’laika yaa a’lamat toqaa as-salaamo a’laika yaa hujjatal laahil kubraa as-salaamo a’laika yaa khaas-satal laahe wa khaalesatahu wa ameenal laahe wa safwatahu wa hujjatahu wa ma’dena hukmil laahe wa sirrehi wa aybata ilmil laahe wa khaazenahu wa safeeral laahe fi khalqehi.
Peace be upon you; O the pattern of piety. Peace be upon you; O the grand argument of Allah. Peace be upon you; O the select and elite of Allah. Peace be upon you; O the trustee and choice of Allah, and the door to and the argument of Allah, and the source and the secret of Allah’s judgment, and the guardian and keeper of Allah’s knowledge, and the envoy of Allah among His creatures.
آپ پر سلام ہو اے تقویٰ کے نشان آپ پر سلام ہو اے خدا کی بہت بڑی حجت آپ پر سلام ہو اے خدا کے مقرب اور اس کے خاص کردہ اور خدا کے امانت دار اور اس کے چنے ہوئے باب ِالہٰی اور اس کی حجت خدا کے حکم اور اس کے رازکے حامل خدا کے علم کے جامع اور خزانہ دار اور خلق ِخدا میں اس کے نمائندے۔
اَشْھَدُ اَنَّكَ اَقَمْتَ الصَّلوٰۃَ وَاٰتَیْتَ الزَّكٰوۃَ وَاَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَنَھَیْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَاتَّبَعْتَ الرَّسُوْلَ وَتَلَوْتَ الْكِتَابَ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهٖ وَبَلَّغْتَ عَنِ اللہِ وَ وَفَیْتَ بِعَهْدِ اللہِ وَتَمَّتْ بِكَ كَلِمَاتُ اللہِ وَجَاهَدْتَ فِیْ اللہِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهٖ وَنَصَحْتَ لِلهِ وَلِرَسُوْلِهٖ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَجُدْتَ بِنَفْسِكَ صَابِرًا مُحْتَسِبًا مُجَاهِدًا عَنْ دِیْنِ اللہِ مُوَقِّیًا لِرَسُوْلِ اللہِ طَالِبًا مَا عِنْدَ اللہِ رَاغِبًا فِیْمَا وَعَدَ اللہُ وَمَضَیْتَ لِلَّذِیْ كُنْتَ عَلَیْهِ شَهِیْدًا وَشَاهِدًا وَمَشْهُوْدًا فَجَزَاكَ اللہُ عَنْ رَسُوْلِهٖ وَعَنِ الْاِسْلَامِ وَاَهْلِهٖ مِنْ صِدِّیْقٍ اَفْضَلَ الْجَزَآءِ۔
Ash-hado annaka aqamtas salaata wa aataytaz zakaata wa amarta bil maa’roofe wa nahayta a’nil munkare wat-taba’tar rasoola wa talawtal ketaaba haqqa telaawatehi wa ballaghta a’nil laahe wa wafayta be a’hdil laahe wa tammat beka kalemaatul laahe wa jaahadta fil laahe haqqa jehaadehi wa nasahta lil laahe wa le rasoolehi sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi wa judta benafseka saaberan mohtaseban mojaahedan a’n deenil laahe mowaaqeyan le rasoolil laahe taaleban maa i’ndal laahe raagheban feema wa-a’dal laaho wa mazayta lil lazee kunta a’laihe shaheedan wa shaahedan wa mash-hoodan fa jazaakal laaho a’n rasoolehi wa a’nil islaame wa ahlehi min siddeeqin afzalal jazaae.
I bear witness that you performed the prayers, and you paid the zakat, and you enjoined the right, and you forbade the wrong, and you followed the Messenger, and you recited the Book as exactly as it must be, And you conveyed the messages of Allah, and you fulfilled your covenant with Allah, and the Words of Allah were accomplished by you, and you strove in Allah’s way in the best manner, And you advised for the sake of Allah and for the sake of His Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, and you sacrificed yourself with steadfastness and seeking of Allah’s reward, And struggling for the defense of Allah’s religion, and protecting Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, Seeking for that which is with Allah, and desiring for that which Allah has promised. You also sealed your life as martyr, and as witness and as witnessed; So, may Allah reward you on behalf of His Messenger and Islam and the people of Islam with the most favorite reward.
میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ نے نماز قائم کی اور زکوٰۃ دیتے رہے آپ نے نیک کاموں کا حکم دیا اور برائیوں سے روکاآپ نے رسولؐ کی پیروی کی اور قران کی تلاوت کی جو تلاوت کرنے کا حق ہے آپ نے خدا کا پیغام دیاخدا کا عہد پورا کیا اور آپ کے ذریعے خدا کی باتیں مکمل ہوئیں آپ نے خدا کی راہ میں جہاد کیا جو جہاد کا حق ہے آپ نے خدا اور اس کے رسولؐ کی خاطر نصیحت و خیرخو اہی کی آپ نے جان کی بازی لگائی صبر و احتیاط کے ساتھ جہاد کیا خدا کے دین کے لئے اور خدا کے رسولؐ کی آبرو کے لئے خدا کے ہاں اجر چاہتے ہوئے خدا کے وعدے پر توجہ رکھے ہوئے اور آپ اس عقیدہ پر باقی رہے کہ جس کے لئے آپ شہید ہوئے آپ اس پر گواہ اور گواہی والے تھے پس خدا جزا دے آپ کو اپنے رسولؐ کی طرف سے اور اسلام و صاحب ِصدق مسلمانوں کی طرف سے بہتر و برتر جزا۔
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ كُنْتَ اَوَّلَ الْقَوْمِ اِسْلَامًا وَاَخْلَصَهُمْ اِیْمَانًا وَاَشَدَّهُمْ یَقِیْنًا وَّاَخْوَفَهُمْ لِلهِ وَاَعْظَمَهُمْ عَنَآءً وَاَحْوَطَهُمْ عَلٰی رَسُوْلِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَاَفْضَلَهُمْ مَنَاقِبَ وَاَكْثَرَهُمْ سَوَابِقَ وَاَرْفَعَهُمْ دَرَجَۃً وَاَشْرَفَهُمْ مَنْزِلَۃً وَاَكْرَمَهُمْ عَلَیْهِ فَقَوِیْتَ حِیْنَ وَهَنُوْا وَلَزِمْتَ مِنْهَاجَ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ۔
Ash-hado annaka kunta awwalal qawme islaaman wa akhlasahum islaaman wa ash-hadahum yaqeenan wa akhwafehim lil laahe wa a’zamahum a’naaa-an wa ahwatahum a’laa rasoolil laahe sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi wa afzalahum manaaqeba wa aksarahum sawaabeqa wa arfa-a’hum darajatan wa ashrafahum manzelatan wa akramahum a’laihe faqaweeta heena wahanu wa lazimta minhaaja rasoolil laahe sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi.
I bear witness that you were the first to embrace Islam, and you were the most sincere in faith, and you were the most confident, and you were the most Allah-fearing, and you were the most steadfast (against ordeals for the sake of Islam). And you were the most watchful for Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, and you were endowed with the most favorable merits, and you were the foremost of everyone else in everything, and you were the owner of the most elevated rank, and you were the owner of the most honorable position, and you were the most respected (by Almighty Allah and His Messenger). Thus, you became stronger when they became weak, and you abode by the course of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household.
میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ سب لوگوں میں اول ہیں اسلام لانے میں ان میں سے مخلص ہیں ایمان میں ان سے بڑھے ہوئے ہیں یقین میں ان سے زیادہ خوف ِخدا والے ہیں اور سب سے زیادہ مصیبت برداشت کرنے والے اور رسول اللہ ؐکے بارے میں زیادہ محتاط ہیں ان سے بلند ہیں خوبیوں میں ان سے آگے ہیں فضیلتوں میں ان سے بلندتراور برتر ہیں درجے میں ارفع اورمنزلت میں بزرگ تر ہیں آنحضرتؐ کے نزدیک پس آپ قوی تھے جب وہ لوگ کمزور پڑے اور آپ قائم رہے طریقۂ رسولؐ پر خدا رحمت کرے ان پر اور ان کی آل ؑپر۔
وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ كُنْتَ خَلِیْفَتَۃٗ حَقًّا لَمْ تُنَازَعْ بِرَغْمِ الْمُنَافِقِیْنَ وَغَیْظِ الْكَافِرِیْنَ وَضِغْنِ الْفَاسِقِیْنَ وَقُمْتَ بِالْاَمْرِ حِیْنَ فَشِلُوْا وَنَطَقْتَ حِیْنَ تَتَعْتَعُوْا وَمَضَیْتَ بِنُوْرِ اللہِ اِذْ وَقَفُوْا۔
Wa ash-hado annaka kunta khaleefatahu haqqan lam tonaaza’ beraghmil monaafeqeena wa ghayzil kaafereena wa zighnil faaseqeena wa qumta bil-amre heena fa-she-loo wa nataqta heena tata’tao’o wa mazayta benooril laahe iz waqafoo.
I also bear witness that you were the true vicegerent of him (ie. the Holy Prophet); No one could ever compete with you in this position in spite of the existence of hypocrites, The despise of the unbelievers, and the malice of the wicked. You also managed the matters when they failed to do so, and you spoke (the truth) when they stammered, and you carried on with the light of Allah when they stopped.
اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ ان کے بلا تنازعہ خلیفۂ برحق ہیں منافقوں کی مخالفت کافروں کے غصے اور بدکاروں کے کینے کے باوجودآپ دین کے امر کے ساتھ قائم رہے جب لوگ سست پڑ گئے آپ نے حق بیان کیا جب وہ چپ تھے اور آپ راہِ ہدایت پر چلے جب وہ رکے ہوئے تھے۔
فَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ فَقَدِا هْتَدٰی كُنْتَ اَوَّلَهُمْ كَلَامًا وَاَشَدَّهُمْ خِصَامًا وَاَصْوَبَهُمْ مَّنْطِقًا وَّاَسَدَّهُمْ رَاْیًا وَاَشْجَعَهُمْ قَلْبًا وَّاَكْثَرَهُمْ یَقِیْنًا وَّاَحْسَنَهُمْ عَمَلًا وَّاَعْرَفَهُمْ بِالْاُمُوْرِ۔
Famanit taba-a’ka faqadeh-tadaa kunta awwalahum kalaaman wa asaddahum ra’yan khesaaman wa aswabahum man-teqan wa asaddahum wa ash-ja-a’hum qalban wa aksarahum yaqeenan wa ahsanahum a’malan wa a-a’rafahum bil omoore.
Hence, he who follows you has actually been led to the true guidance. You were the first to speak, and you were the firmest in refuting the rivals, and you were the most eloquent of them, and you were the most apposite in opinions, and you were the most courageous, and you were the most confident of them, and you were the best of them in deeds, and you were the most learned in affairs.
پس جس نے آپ کی پیروی کی وہ ہدایت پا گیا کیوں کہ آپ کلام میں ان سے بہتر مقابلے میں ان سے سخت تر گفتار میں ان سے خوب تر رائے میں ان سے محکم تر دل کے سب سے بہادر ہیں یقین میں ان سے بڑھ کر عمل میں ان سے نیک تر اور معاملات کو زیادہ جاننے والے ہیں۔
كُنْتَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ اَبًا رَّحِیْمًا اِذْ صَارُوْا عَلَیْكَ عِیَالًا فَحَمَلْتَ اَثْقَالَ مَا عَنْهُ ضَعُفُوْا وَحَفِظْتَ مَآ اَضَاعُوْا وَرَعَیْتَ مَا اَهْمَلُوْا وَشَمَّرْتَ اِذْ جَبَنُوْا وَعَلَوْتَ اِذْ هَلِعُوْا وَصَبَرْتَ اِذْ جَزِعُوْا كُنْتَ عَلَی الْكَافِرِیْنَ عَذَابًا صَبًّا وَّغِلْظَۃً وَّغِیْظًا وَّلِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ غَیْثًا وَّخِصْبًا وَّعِلْمًا۔
Kunta lil momeneena aban raheeman iz saaroo a’laika e’yaalan fa-hamalta asqaala maa a’nho za-o’-foo wa hafizta maa a-zaa-o’o wa ra-a’yta maa ah-maloo wa sham-marta iz jabanoo wa a’lawta iz hale-o’o wa sabarta iz ja-ze-o’o kunta a’lal kaafereena a’zaaban sabban wa ghilzatan wa gheezan wa lil momeneena ghaisan wa khisban wa i’lman.
For the believers, you were merciful father, and they were thus your dependents; So, you carried the burdens that they were too weak to carry, and you preserved that which they forfeited, and you conserved that which they neglected, and you prepared yourself for facing that which they were too coward to face, and you advanced when they were dismayed, and you acted steadfastly when they became anxious. You were thus incessant torment on the unbelievers, and you were also rude and furious (on them), and you rained (with mercy) on the believers, and you were fertile and source of knowledge for them.
آپ مومنوں کے لئے مہربان باپ بن گئےجب آپ کے ارد گرد جمع ہو گئے آپ نے وہ بوجھ اٹھائے جن کے مقابل وہ ناتواں تھے آپ نے بچا لیا جو انہوں نے گنوایا آپ نے یاد رکھا جو انہوں نے بھلایا آپ نے جرأت کی جب وہ ڈر گئے آپ غالب آئے جب وہ نالے کرتے تھے اور آپ جمے رہے جب وہ گھبرا گئے آپ کافروں کے لئے نہ رکنے والا عذاب ان کے لئے سختی اور قہر و غضب تھے اور مومنوں کے لئے ابر ِرحمت اور علم و نعمت کی فراوانی تھے کہ۔
لَمْ تُفْلَلْ حُجَّتُكَ وَلَمْ یَزِغْ قَلْبُكَ وَلَمْ تَضْعُفْ بَصِیْرَتُكَ وَلَمْ تَجْبُنْ نَفْسُكَ كُنْتَ كَالْجَبَلِ لَا تُحَرِّكْهٗ الْعَوَاصِفُ وَلَا تُزِیْلُهُ الْقَوَاصِفُ كُنْتَ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ قَوِیًّا فِیْ بَدَنِكَ مُتَوَاضِعًا فِیْ نَفْسِكَ عَظِیْمًا عِنْدَ اللہِ كَبِیْرًا فِی الْاَرْضِ جَلِیْلًا فِیْ السَّمَآءِ۔
Lam tuflal hujjatoka wa lam yazigh qalboka wa lam taz-u’f baseeratoka wa lam tajbun nafsoka kunta kal-jabale laa toharikhul a’waasefo wa laa tozeelohul qawaasefo kunta kamaa qaala rasoolul laahe sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi qawiyyan fee badaneka motawaa-ze-a’n fee nafseka a’zeeman i’ndal laahe kabeeran fil arze jaleelan fis samaaa-e.
Your argument was never weak, and your heart never deviated, and your sagacity was never feeble, and your determination never cowered. You were as firm as mountain, as storms could never displace you, and misfortunes could never move you. You were as same as described by Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, who said about you that you are strong in your body, and modest in yourself, and great in the view of Allah, and imposing in the earth, and lofty in the heavens.
آپ کی دلیل کمزورنہ تھی آپ کا دل کج نہ ہوا آپ کی سمجھ میں کمی نہ ہوئی اور آپ کا دل خوف زدہ نہ ہوا کہ آپ پہاڑ کی طرح جمے کہ جسے آندھیاں ہلا نہیں سکیں بجلی کی کڑک اسے گرا نہیں سکی آپ ایسے تھے جیسے رسول اللہ ؐنے فرمایا تھا کہ آپ قوی بدن والے اپنے آپ میں فروتنی کرنے والے خدا کے ہاں بلند مرتبے والے زمین میں بڑائی والے آسمان میں عزّت والے۔
لَمْ یَكُنْ لِاَحَدٍ فِیْكَ مَهْمَزٌ وَّ لَا لِقَآئِلِ فِیْكَ مَغْمَزٌ وَّ لَا لِخَلْقٍ فِیْكَ مَطْمَعٌ وَّلَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَكَ هَوَادَۃٌ یُّوْجَدُ الضَّعِیْفُ الذَّلِیْلُ عِنْدَكَ قَوِیًّا عَزِیْزًا حَتّٰی تَاْخُذَ لَهٗ بِحَقِّهٖ وَالْقَوِیُّ الْعَزِیْزُ عِنْدَكَ ضَعِیْفًا حَتّٰی تَاْخُذَ مِنْهُ الْحَقَّ الْقَرِیْبُ وَالْبَعِیْدُ عِنْدَكَ فِیْ ذٰلِكَ سَوَآءٌ۔
Lam yakun le-ahadin feeka mahmazun wa laa le-qaa-ele feeka maghmazun wa laa le-khalqin feeka mat-ma-o’on wa laa le-ahadin i’ndaka howaadatun yoojaduz za-e’efuz zaleelo i’ndaka qawiyyan a’zeezan hattaa taakhoza lahu be-haqqehi wal qawiyyul a’zeezo i’ndaka zaa-e’efan hattaa taakhoza minhul haqqal qareebo wal-ba-e’edo i’ndaka fee zaaleka sawaaa-un.
None could ever find fault with you, and none could ever speak evil of you, and you never desired for any of the created beings, and you were never lenient (unfairly) to anyone. The weak, humble one was strong and mighty in your view until you give him back his right, and the strong, mighty one was weak in your view until you take the others’ rights from him. The near and the remote were equal in your view.
آپ کے متعلق کسی کے لئے نکتہ چینی کا مقام نہیں کوئی بولنے والا آپ کی برائی نہیں بتا سکتا لوگوں کو آپ کی طرف داری میں کوئی لالچ نہیں نہ آپ کے ہاں کسی کے لئے کچھ رعایت ہے ہر کمزور آپ کے نزدیک طاقت ور ہے جب تک آپ اس کا حق اسے دلا نہ دیں اور ہر طاقت ور شخص آپ کے نزدیک کمزور ہے جب تک اس سے حق وصول نہ کر لیں اس معاملے میں اپنا بیگانہ آپ کے نزدیک برابر ہے۔
شَاْنُكَ الْحَقُّ وَالصِّدْقُ وَالرِّفْقُ وَقَوْلُكَ حُكْمٌ وَحَتْمٌ وَرَاْیُكَ عِلْمٌ وَحَزْمٌ اِعْتَدَلَ بِكَ الدِّیْنُ وَسَهُلَ بِكَ الْعَسِیْرُ وَاُطْفِئَتْ بِكَ النِّیْرَانُ وَقَوِیَ بِكَ الْاِیْمَانُ وَثَبَتَ بِكَ الْاِسْلَامُ وَهَدَّتْ مُصِیْبَتُكَ الْاَنَامَ فَاِنَّا لِلهِ وَاِنَّا اِلَیْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ۔
Shaanokal haqqo was-sidqo war-rifqo wa qawloka hukmun wa hatmun wa raayoka i’lmun wa hazmun e-a’tadala bekad deeno wa sahala bekal a’seero wa utfe-a’t bekan neeraano wa qaweya bekal eemaano wa sabata bekal islaamo wa haddat moseebatokal anaama fa-innaa lil laahe wa innaa elayhe raaje-o’ona.
Your habit was to be right, honest, and kind, and your words were ruling and determination, and your custom was forbearance and fortitude, and your view was knowledge and firmness. At your hands did the religion become even, and the difficult became easy, and fires were extinguished, and by you did faith become strong, and by you did Islam became steady, and the calamity of losing you undermined all people, Surely, we are Allah’s and to Him we shall surely return.
آپ کی روش حق سچائی اور ملائمت ونرمی ہے آپ کے قول میں مضبوطی و پائیداری آپ کے حکم میں نرمی و ثبات آپ کی رائے میں علم و پختگی ہے کہ دین ِاسلام آپ کے ذریعے سنبھلا آپ کے ذریعے مشکل کام آسان ہوا آپ کے ذریعے فتنے کی آگ ٹھنڈی ہوئی آپ کے ذریعے ایمان کو قوت ملی آپ کے ذریعے اسلام کا نقش گہرا ہوا اور آپ کی مصیبت نے لوگوں کو متاثر کیا پس ہم خدا ہی کے لئے ہیں اور اسی کی طرف پلٹیں گے۔
لَعَنَ اللہُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ مَنْ خَالَفَكَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ مَنِ افْتَرٰی عَلَیْكَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ وَغَصَبَكَ حَقَّكَ وَلَعَنَ اللہُ مَنْ بَلَغَهٗ ذٰلِكَ فَرَضِیَ بِهٖ اِنَّآ اِلَی اللہِ مِنْهُمْ بُرَآءُ لَعَنَ اللہُ اُمَّۃً خَالَفَتْكَ وَجَحَدَتْ وِلَایَتَكَ وَتَظَاهَرَتْ عَلَیْكَ وَقَتَلَتْكَ وَحَادَتْ عَنْكَ وَخَذَلَتْكَ۔
La’nal laaho man qatalaka wa la’nal laaho man khaa-lafaka wa la’nal laaho manif taraa a’laika wa la’nal laaho man zalamaka wa ghasabaka haqqaka wa la’nal laaho man balaghahu zaaleka fa-razeya behi inaa elal laahe minhum boraaa-o la’nal laaho ummatan khaalafatka wa jahadat welayataka wa tazaaharat a’laika wa qatalatka wa haadat a’nka wa khazalatka.
Curse of Allah be upon him who slew you, and curse of Allah be upon him who mutinied against you, and curse of Allah be upon him who forged lies against you, and curse of Allah be upon him who wronged you and usurped your right, and curse of Allah be upon him who, when was informed about this, was pleased with it. Verily, we disavow those before Allah. Curse of Allah be upon the group that disagreed with you, and denied your (Divinely commissioned) leadership, and aided each other against you and slew you, and deviated from you and disappointed you.
خدا لعنت کرے آپ کے قاتل پر خدا لعنت کرے آپ کے مخالف پرخدا لعنت کرےآپ پر جھوٹ باندھنے والے پرخدا لعنت کرے آپ سے ناانصافی کرنے والے اور آپ کا حق دبانے والے پراور خدا لعنت کرے اس معاملے پر خوش ہونے والے پر یقینًا ہم آپ کے سامنے ان سے بیزاری ظاہر کرتے ہیں خدا لعنت کرے اس گروہ پر جس نے آپ کی مخالفت کی آپ کی ولایت سے انکار کیا آپ کے دشمن کا ساتھ دیا آپ سے جنگ کی آپ کی جماعت سے نکل گیا اور آپ کو چھوڑ دیا۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِیْ جَعَلَ النَّارَ مَثْوَیٰهُمْ وَ بِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُوْدُ اَشْهَدُ لَكَ یَا وَلِیَّ اللہِ وَ وَلِیَّ رَسُوْلِهٖ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ بِالْبَلَاغِ وَالْاَدَآءِ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ حَبِیْبُ اللہِ وَبَابُهٗ وَاَنَّكَ جَنْبُ اللہِ وَوَجْهُهُ الَّذِیْ مِنْهُ یُؤْتٰی وَاَنَّكَ سَبِیْلُ اللہِ وَاَنَّكَ عَبْدُ اللہِ وَاَخُوْ رَسُوْلِهٖ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ۔
Alhamdolil laahil lazee ja-a’lan naare maswaahum wa be’sal wirdul mawroodo ash-hado laka yaa waliyyal laahe wa waliyya rasoolehi sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi bil balaaghe wal a-daaa-e wa ash-hado annaka habeebul laahe wa baabohu wa annaka jambul laahe wa waj-hohul lazee minho yoa-taa wa annaka sabeelul laahe wa annaka a’bdul laahe wa akhoo rasoolehi sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi.
All praise be to Allah, for Hellfire is the abode of those, and evil the place to which they are brought. I bear witness for you, O the Intimate servant of Allah and the loyal to Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, that you did convey and carry out (your mission). And I bear witness that you are the beloved of Allah and door to Him, and you are the Side of Allah and His Face from which one can come to Allah, and you are Allah’s way, and you are Allah’s servant, and the brother of His Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household.
حمد ہے خدا کے لئے جس نے جہنم کو ان لوگوں کا ٹھکانہ بنایا اور وہ بڑاہی برا ٹھکانا ہے میں گواہی دیتا ہوں آپ کی اے خدا کے ولی اور اس کے رسولؐکے کارِ تبلیغ میں معاون و مددگار اور ادائے فرض میں معاون ومددگار اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ خدا کے دوست اور اس کا دروازہ ہیں اور یہ کہ آپ خدا کے طرف دار اور مظہر ہیں جس کے ذریعے اس تک پہنچتے ہیں بے شک آپ خدا کا راستہ ہیں نیز آپ خدا کے بندے اور اس کے رسول ؐکے بھائی ہیں۔
اَتَیْتُكَ زَآئِرًا لِعَظِیْمِ حَالِكَ وَمَنْزِلَتِكَ عِنْدَ اللہِ وَعِنْدَ رَسُوْلِهٖ مُتَقَرِّبًا اِلَی اللہِ بِزِیَارَتِكَ رَاغِبًا اِلَیْكَ فِی الشَّفَاعَۃِ اَبْتَغِیْ بِشَفَاعَتِكَ خَلَاصَ نَفْسِیْ مُتَعَوِّذًا بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ هَارِبًا مِنْ ذُنُوْبِیَ الَّتِیْ اِحْتَطَبْتُهَا عَلٰی ظَهْرِیْ فَزِعًا اِلَیْكَ رَجَآءَ رَحْمَۃِ رَبِّیْ۔
Ataytoka zaa-eran le-a’zeeme haaleka wa manzelateka i’ndal laahe wa i’nda rasoolehi motaqarreban elal laahe be zeyaarateka raagheban ilaika fish-shafaa-ate abtaghee be-shafaa-a’teka khalaasa nafsee mota-a’wwezan beka menan naare haareban min zonoobeyal lateehta-tabtohaa a’laa zahree fa-ze-a’n ilaika rajaaa-a rahmate rabbee.
I have thus come to visit you because you enjoy a magnificent position and standing with Allah and with His Messenger, So, I seek nearness to Allah through my visiting you, and I desire that you will intercede for me, Through your intercession for me, I hope for redemption of myself, and I seek refuge with you against Hellfire, and I am fleeing from my sins that I have overburdened myself with them, and I resort to you in the hope of my Lord’s mercy.
آپ کی زیارت کو آیا ہوں کہ خدا اور اس کے رسولؐ کے نزدیک آپ کا مقام ومرتبہ بلند ہے میں آپ کی زیارت سے خدا کی قربت چاہتاہوں شفاعت کے لئے آپ کی طرف مائل ہوا ہوں آپ کی شفاعت کے ذریعے اپنی نجات چاہتا ہوں خوف ِجہنم سے آپ کی پناہ حاصل کرتا ہوں اپنے گناہوں سے دور بھاگا ہوں جن کا بوجھ میری پشت پر ہے اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید میں آپ کے آگے روتا ہوں۔
اَتَیْتُكَ اَسْتَشْفِعُ بِكَ یَا مَوْلَایَ اِلَی اللہِ وَاَتَقَرَّبُ بِكَ اِلَیْهِ لِیَقْضِیَ بِكَ حَوَآئِجِیْ فَاشْفَعْ یَا اَمِیْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ اِلَی اللہِ فَاِنِّیْ عَبْدُ اللہِ وَمَوْلَاكَ وَزَآئِرُكَ وَلَكَ عِنْدَ اللہِ الْمَقَامُ الْمَعْلُوْمُ وَالْجَاهُ الْعَظِیْمُ وَالشَّاْنُ الْكَبِیْرُ وَالشَّفَاعَۃُ الْمَقْبُوْلَۃُ۔
Ataytoka astash-fe-o’ beka yaa mawlaaya elal laahe wa ataqarrabo beka elayhe leyaqzeya beka hawaaa-ejee fash-fa’ yaa ameeral momeneena elal laahe fa-innee a’bdul laahe wa mawlaaka wa zaaa-eroka wa laka i’ndal laahil maqaamul ma’loomo wal-jaahul a’zeemo wash-shaanul kabeero wash-shafaa-a’tul maqboolato.
I have come to you, O my master, seeking your intercession for me before Allah, and seeking nearness to Him through you so that He may settle my needs; So, (please) intercede for me, O the commander of the believers. Verily, I am the slave of Allah and your servant and visitor, and you enjoy a distinguished position with Allah, and a great rank, and a big standing, and an admitted right of intercession.
اے میرے آقا میں حاضر ہوا ہوں کہ آپ خدا کے حضور میری شفاعت کریں اور آپ کے وسیلے سے اس کی قربت چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ کے ذریعے وہ میری حاجات پوری کرے پس اے مومنوں کے امیر خدا کے سامنے میری شفاعت کریں کہ میں خدا کا بندہ ہوں آپ کا محب اور زائر ہوں جب کہ آپ خدا کے ہاں نمایاں مرتبہ رکھتے ہیں اس کے حضور بڑی عزّت اور اونچی شان کے مالک ہیں آپ کی شفاعت قبول کی جاتی ہے۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّصَلِّ عَلٰی عَبْدِكَ وَاَمِیْنِكَ الْاَوْفٰی وَعُرْوَتِكَ الْوُثْقٰی وَیَدِكَ الْعُلْیَا وَكَلِمَتِكَ الْحُسْنٰی وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلَی الْوَرٰی وَصِدِّیْقِكَ الْاَكْبَرِ سَیِّدِ الْاَوْصِیَآءِ وَرُكْنِ الْاَوْلِیَآءِ وَعِمَادِ الْاَصْفِیَآءِ اَمِیْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ وَیَعْسُوْبِ الْمُتَّقِیْنَ وَقُدْوَۃِ الْصِّدِّیْقِیْنَ وَاِمَامِ الصَّالِحِیْنَ الْمَعْصُوْمِ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ وَالْمَفْطُوْمِ مِنَ الْخَلَلِ وَالْمُهَذَّبِ مِنَ الْعَیْبِ وَالْمُطَهَّرِ مِنَ الرَّیْبِ۔
Allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa salle a’laa a’bdeka wa ameenekal awfaa wa u’rwatekal wusqaa wa yadekal u’lyaa wa kalematekal husnaa wa hujjateka a’lal waraa wa sid-deeqekal akbare sayyedil awse-yaaa-e wa ruknil awleyaaa-e wa e’maadil asfeyaaa-e ameeril momeneena wa ya’soobil muttaqeena wa qudwatis siddeeqeena wa emaamis saaleheenal ma’soome menaz-zalale wal maftoome menal khalale wal mohazzabe menal a’ybe wal motahhare menar raybe.
O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and send blessings upon Your servant and Your most faithful trustee, and Your firmest handle, and Your highest Hand, and Your excellent Word, And Your argument on the people, and Your grandest veracious one, The chief of the Prophets’ successors, and the reliance of the saints, and the support of the elite ones, and the commander of the believers, And the leader of the pious ones, and the example of the veracious ones, and the pattern of the righteous ones, The one protected against flaws, and the one saved from defects, and the one cleared from faults, And the one purified from doubts.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر اور رحمت نازل کر اپنے بندے پر جو تیرے اسرار کا بہترین امین مضبوط رسّی تیرا دینے والا ہاتھ تیرا زیباترکلمہ مخلوقات پر تیری دلیل و حجت تیرا بنایا ہوا صدیق اکبر اوصیاء کا سردار اولیاء کا مرکز پاک بازوں کا سہارا مومنوں کا امیرؑ نیکو کار سالار صدیقوں کا پیشوا خوش کرداروں کا امام لغزش سے محفوظ خطا سے دور عیب سے پاک شک سے دور۔
اَخِیْ نَبِّیِّكَ وَ وَصِیِّ رَسُوْلِكَ وَالْبَآئِتِ عَلٰی فِرَاشِهٖ وَالْمُوَاسِیْ لَهٗ بِنَفْسِهٖ وَكَاشِفِ الْكَرْبِ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ الَّذِیْ جَعَلْتَهٗ سَیْفًا لِنُبُوَّتِهٖ وَمُعْجِزًا لِرِسَالَتِهٖ وَدَلَالَۃً وَاضِحَۃً لِحُجَّتِهٖ وَحَامِلًا لِرَایَتِهٖ وَ وِقَایَۃً لِمُهْجَتِهٖ وَهَادِیًا لِاُمَّتِهٖ وَیَدًا لِبَاْسِهٖ وَتَاجًا لِرَاْسِهٖ وَبَابًا لِنَصْرِهٖ۔
Akhee nabiyyeka wa wasiyye rasooleka wal-baaa-ete a’laa feraashehi wal mowaasee lahu be nafsehi wa kaashefil karbe a’n wajhehil lazee ja-a’ltahu sayfan le-nobuwwatehi wa mo’jezan le resaalatehi wa dalaalatan waazehatan le hujjatehi wa haamelan le-raayatehi wa weqaayatan le-mohjatehi wa haadeyan le-ummatehi wa yadan le-baasehi wa taajan le-raasehi wa baaban le nasrehi.
The brother of Your Prophet, and the successor of Your Messenger, and the one who replaced him by spending the night on his bed and the one who sacrificed his soul for him, And the one who always relieved him in harsh situations, The one whom You chose to be the sword of his (ie. the Prophet) Prophethood and to be the miracle of his (Divine) mission, And to be the lucid indication to his arguments, and to be the bearer of his pennon, and to be the protector of his soul, and to be the guide of his nation, and to be the power of his might, and to be the crown of his head, and to be the door to his victory.
تیرے نبی کا بھائی تیرے رسولؐ کا وصی شب ِہجرت ان کے بستر پر سونے والا ان پر جان قربان کرنے والا اور ان کے غم و پریشانی کو دور کرنے والا کہ جسے تو نے ان کی نبوت کی تلوار بنایا ان کی رسالت کا معجزہ اور ان کی حجت کے لئے روشن دلیل جسے تو نے ان کے علم کو اٹھانے والا ان کی جان کا محافظ ان کی امت کا رہبر ان کا بازوئے شمشیر ان کے سر کاتاج ان کی نصرت کا ذریعہ۔
وَمِفْتَاحًا لِظَفَرِهٖ حَتّٰی هَزَمَ جُنُوْدَ الشِّرْكِ بِاَیْدِكَ وَاَبَادَ عَسَاكِرَ الْكُفْرِ بِاَمْرِكَ وَبَذَلَ نَفْسَهٗ فِیْ مَرْضَاتِكَ وَمَرْضَاۃِ رَسُوْلِكَ وَجَعَلَهَا وَقْفًا عَلٰی طَاعَتِهٖ وَمَجِنًّا دُوْنَ نِكْبَتِهٖ حَتّٰی فَاضَتْ نَفْسُهٗ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ فیْ كَفِّهٖ وَاسْتَلَبَ بَرْدَهَا وَمَسَحَهٗ عَلٰی وَجْهِهٖ وَاَعَانَتْهُ مَلَآئِكَتُكَ عَلٰی غُسْلِهٖ وَتَجْهِیْزِهٖ وَصَلَّی عَلَیْهِ وَوَارٰی شَخْصَهٗ وَقَضٰی دَیْنَهٗ وَاَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهٗ وَلَزِمَ عَهْدَهٗ وَاحْتَذٰی مِثَالَهٗ وَحَفِظَ وَصِیَّتَهٗ۔
Wa miftaahan le-zafarehi hattaa hazama jonoodish shirke be aydeka wa abaada a’saakeral kufre be amreka wa bazala nafsahu fee marzaateka wa marzaate rasooleka wa ja-a’ltahaa waqfan a’laa taa-a’tehi wa majinnan doona nikbatehi hattaa faazat nafsohu sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi fee kaffehi was-talaba bardahaa wa masahahu a’laa wajhehi wa a-a’anat-ho malaaa-ekatoka a’laa ghuslehi wa tajheezehi wa salla a’laihe wa waaraa shaksahu wa qazaa daynahu wa anjaza wa’dahu wa lazema a’hdahu wah-tazaa mesaalahu wa hafeza wasiyyatahu.
And to be the key to his triumph until he defeated the armies of polytheism by Your aid, and he terminated the warriors of atheism by Your permission, and he exerted all efforts in the pleasure of You and of Your Messenger, and he devoted all his efforts to the obedience of him, and he made of himself armor to protect him from any misfortune, until the soul of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his Household, departed his body while his face was in the hand of Ali, Who thus felt its coldness, and he rubbed his face therewith, And Your angels helped him bathe and prepare his body for burial, and he then offered prayer for him and buried his body, and then settled his debts, and fulfilled his promises, and made his covenants, and followed his example, and abode by his will.
اور ان کی کامیابی کی کنجی قرار دیا یہاں تک کہ تیری مدد سے شرک کے لشکرہارگئے اور کفر کی فوجیں تیرے حکم سے نابودہوگئیں تیرے بندے (علیؑ) نے اپنی جان تیری اور تیرے رسولؐ کی رضا پر نثار کی اس نے خود کو ان کی فرماں برداری میں لگایا اور تکلیف میں ان کی ڈھال بنا رہا یہاں تک کہ حضور ؐکی روح پرواز کر گئی جب کہ آپ اس کی آغوش میں تھے اس نے جسد ِرسولؐ کی ٹھنڈک محسوس کی اور آپ کے منہ پر ہاتھ پھیرا اور ان کے غسل و کفن میں تیرے فرشتوں نے اس کی اعانت ومدد کی اس نے ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی اور انہیں دفنا یا اس نے ان کے قرضے ادا کیے ان کے وعدے نبھائے ان کے عہد پر قائم رہا ان کے نقش ِقدم پر چلا ان کی وصیت کا پابند رہا۔
وَحِیْنَ وَجَدَ اَنْصَارًا نَهَضَ مُسْتَقِلًّا بِاَعْبَآءِ الْخِلَافَۃِ مُضْطَلِعًا بِاَثْقَالِ الْاِمَامَۃِ فَنَصَبَ رَایَۃَ الْهُدٰی فِیْ عِبَادِكَ وَنَشَرَ ثَوْبَ الْاَمْنِ فِیْ بِلَادِكَ وَبَسَطَ الْعَدْلَ فِیْ بَرِیَّتِكَ وَحَكَمَ بِكِتَابِكَ فِیْ خَلِیْقَتِكَ وَاَقَامَ الْحُدُوْدَ وَ قَمَعَ الْجُحُوْدَ وَقَوَّمَ الزَّیْغَ وَسَكَّنَ الْغَمْرَۃَ وَاَبَادَ الْفَتْرَۃَ وَسَدَّ الْفُرْجَۃَ وَقَتَلَ النَّاكِثَۃَ وَالْقَاسِطَۃَ وَالْمَارِقَۃَ۔
Wa heena wajada ansaaran nahaza mustaqillan be-a’abaa-il khelaafate muz-tale-a’n be asqaalil emaamate fanasaba raayatal hodaa fee e’baadeka wa nashara sawbal amne fee belaadeka wa basatal a’dla fee bariyyateka wa hakama be ketaabeka fee khaleeqateka wa aqaamal hodooda wa qama-a’l johooda wa qawwaamaz zayghe wa sakkanal gham-rate wa abaadal fatrate wa saddal furjata wa qatalan naakesata wal qaasetata wal maareqata.
And when he could find supporters, he undertook burdens of the position of leadership (caliphate) and assumed the loads of Imamate. He thus hoisted the flag of true guidance among Your servants, And he spread the dress of security in Your lands, and he extended justice among Your creatures, and he judged according to Your Book among your beings, and he executed the laws, and he suppressed unbelief, And he rectified the deviation, and he mollified the criticism, and he eradicated lethargy, and he blocked the gap, and he killed the preachers, the wrongdoers, and the apostates.
اور جب مددگار مل گئے تو بڑی مستقل مزاجی کے ساتھ خلافت کی ذمہ داریاں سنبھالیں اور امامت کے بھاری فرائض قبول کیے پھر علیؑ نے تیرے بندوں کے درمیان علم ِہدایت بلند کیا تیرے شہرو دیہات میں امن و امان قائم کیا تیری مخلوق میں عدل و انصاف رائج کیا اور تیری خلقت میں تیری کتاب کے مطابق فیصلے کئے دین کی حدود قائم کیں اور کفر و انکار کی جڑیں کاٹیں ٹیڑھوں کو سیدھا کیا بے راہ روی کو ختم کیا بے خبری کو دور کیا دشمنوں کے رخنوں کو بند کیا عہد توڑنے والوں پھوٹ ڈالنے والوں اور پھر جانے والوں کو قتل کیا۔
وَلَمْ یَزَلْ عَلٰی مِنْهَاجِ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَ وَتِیْرَتِهٖ وَلُطْفِ شَاكِلَتِهٖ وَجَمَالِ سِیْرَتِهٖ مُقْتَدِیًا بِسُنَّتِهٖ مُتَعَلِّقًا بِهِمَّتِهٖ مُبَاشِرًا لِطَرِیْقَتِهٖ وَاَمْثِلَتُهٗ نَصْبُ عَیْنَیْهِ یَحْمِلُ عِبَادَكَ عَلَیْهَا وَیَدْعُوْهُمْ اِلَیْهَا اِلٰی اَنْ خُضِبَتْ شَیْبَتُهٗ مِنْ دَمِ رَاْسِهٖ۔
Wa lam yazil a’laa minhaaje rasoolil laahe sallal laaho a’laihe wa aalehi wa wateeratehi wa lutfe shaakelatehi wa jamaale sitratehi muqtadeyan be sunnatehi mota-a’lleqan be himmatehi mobaas-sheran le tareeqatehi wa amselatohu nasbo a’ynayhe yahmelo e’baadaka a’layhaa wa yad-o’ohum elayhaa ilaa an khoze-bat shaybatohu min dame raasehi.
And he kept on following the course and tradition of Allah’s Messenger, peace be upon him and his Household, and kept on following his excellent pattern, and kept on following his superb practice, and he imitated his convention, and held fast to his morale, and he copied his way (of treating with matters). And he always noticed the Prophet’s deeds as if they were before his eyes, and he thus ordered Your servants to copy these deeds, and he invited them to imitate these deeds, Until his white beard was dyed with the blood of his head.
اور ہمیشہ حضرت رسول ؐ کے طور طریقے پر قائم رہے ان کے چلن ان کے نیک افعال اور ان کی سیرت کی خوبی کو اختیار کیا ان کی سنت پر چلے ان کے مقصد کو نظر میں رکھا ان کے طریقے اپنائے ان کے نمونۂ عمل پر نگاہ رکھے ہوئے تیرے بندوں کو ان پر چلایا اورانہیں اسی طرف بلاتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ان کی داڑھی ان کی پیشانی کے خون سے رنگین ہو گئی۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ فَكَمَا لَمْ یُؤْثِرْ فِیْ طَاعَتِكَ شَكًّا عَلٰی یَقِیْنٍ وَّلَمْ یُشْرِكْ بِكَ طَرْفَۃَ عَیْنٍ صَلِّ عَلَیْهِ صَلٰوۃً زَاكِیَۃً نَامِیَۃً یَلْحَقُ بِهَا دَرَجَۃَ النُّبُوَّۃِ فِیْ جَنَّتِكَ وَبَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِیَّۃً وَّسَلَامًا وَّاٰتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِیْ مُوَالَاتِهٖ فَضْلًا وَّاِحْسَانًا وَّمَغْفِرَۃً وَّرِضْوَانًا اِنَّكَ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْجَسِیْمِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ۔
Allaahumma fa kamaa lam yooser fee taa-a’teka shakkan a’laa yaqeenin wa lam yushrik beka tarfata a’ynin salle a’laihe salaatan zaakeyatan naameyatan yalhaqo behaa darajatan nobuwwate fee jannateka wa balligh-ho minnaa tahiyyatan wa salaaman wa aatenaa min ladunka fee mowaalaatehi fazlan wa ehsaanan wa maghferatan wa rizwaanan innaka zul fazlil jaseeme be rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen.
O Allah: As he never preferred a dubious matter to a certain one for the sake of obeying You, and as he never associated anyone with You even for a twinkling of an eye, please send upon him growing and increasing blessings, Due to which he may join the position of Prophethood in Your Paradise, and convey our greetings and compliments to him and, on account of our allegiance to his leadership, please give us from You favor and kindness, and forgiveness and pleasure. You are verily the Lord of enormous favor. Out of Your mercy, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
خدایا! جیسا کہ اس ذات(علیؑ) نے تیری اطاعت میں شک کو یقین پر غلبہ نہ پانے دیا اور ایک لمحہ کے لئے تیرے ساتھ شریک قرار نہیں دیا تو بھی ان پررحمت فرما پاکیزہ رحمت جو بڑھتی جائے اس کے ذریعے انہیں اپنی جنت میں نبی اکرمؐ کے ساتھ ملا دے ہماری طرف سے انہیں رحمت و سلام پہنچا دے اور ہمیں ان کی محبت کے باعث اپنی طرف سے فضیلت نیکی بخشش اور خوشنودی نصیب فرما دے بے شک تو بڑا فضل کرنے والا ہے اپنی رحمت کےسبب سے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنےوالے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ بَشَّرْتَنِیْ عَلٰی لِسَانِ نَبِیِّكَ وَرَسُوْلِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَیْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ فَقُلْتَ (وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا اَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ)۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاِنِّیْ مُؤْمِنٌ بِجَمِیْعِ اَنْبِیَآئِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَیْهِمْ فَلَا تَقِفْنِیْ بَعْدَ مَعْرِفَتِهِمْ مَوْقِفًا تَفْضَحُنِیْ فِیْهِ عَلٰی رُئُوْسِ الْاَشْھَادِ بَلْ قِفْنِیْ مَعَهُمْ وَتَوَفَّنِیْ عَلَی التَّصْدِیْقِ بِهِمْ۔
Allaahumma innaka bash-shartanee a’laa lesane nabiyyeka wa rasooleka mohammadin salawaatoka a’laihe wa aalehi fa-qulta (wa bash-sheral lazeena aamanoo anna lahum qadama sidqin i’nda rabbehim) allaahumma wa innee moomenun be jamee-e’ ambeyaaa-eka wa rosoleka salawaatoka a’layhim falaa taqifnee ba’da ma’refatehim mawqefan tafzahonee feehe a’laa ro-oosil ash-haade bal qifnee ma-a’hum wa tawaffanee a’lat tasdeeqe behim.
O Allah: You have conveyed to me glad tidings through Your Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad, Your peace be upon him and his Household As You said, “And give good news to those who believe that theirs is a footing of firmness with their Lord.” O Allah: Indeed, I believe in all Your Prophets and Messengers, Your blessings be upon them. So, (please) do not cause me, after my recognition of them, to be in a situation due to which You expose me in the presence of the Witnesses; Rather, (please) include me with them and make me die while I give them credence.
اے معبود!بے شک تو نے اپنے نبی و رسول محمدؐ کی زبانی ہمیں خوش خبری دی تیری رحمتیں ہوں ان پراور ان کی آلؑ پر پس تو نے فرمایا: بشارت دے دو ایمان والوں کو کہ ان کے لئے پروردگار کے ہاں کامرانی ہے اے معبود! میں بھی تیرے سبھی نبیوں اور رسولوں پر ایمان رکھتا ہوں تیری رحمتیں ہوں ان پر جب میں ان کی معرفت رکھتا ہوں تو مجھے اس جگہ کھڑا نہ رکھنا جہاں لوگوں کے سامنے تو مجھے رسوا کرے بلکہ مجھے ان نبیوں کے ساتھ کھڑا کرنا اور مجھے ان کو ماننے کی حالت میں موت دینا۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاَنْتَ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِكَرَامَتِكَ وَاَمَرْتَنِیْ بِاِتِّبَاعِهِمْ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاِنِّیْ عَبْدُكَ وَزَآئِرُكَ مُتَقَرِّبًا اِلَیْكَ بِزِیَارَۃِ اَخِیْ رَسُوْلِكَ وَعَلٰی كُلِّ مَاْتِیٍّ وَمَزُوْرٍ حَقٌّ لِمَنْ اَتَاهُ وَزَارَهٗ وَاَنْتَ خَیْرُ مَاْتِیٍّ وَاَكْرَمُ مَزُوْرٍ فَاَسْئَلُكَ یَا اَللهُ یَا رَحْمٰنُ یَا رَحِیْمُ یَا جَوَادُ یَا مَاجِدُ یَا اَحَدُ یَا صَمَدُ یَا مَنْ لَّمْ یَلِدْ وَلَمْ یُوْلَدْ وَلَمْ یَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ وَلَمْ یَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَۃً وَّلَا وَلَدًا۔
Allaahumma wa anta khasastahum be karaamatka wa amartanee bit-tebaa-e’him allaahumma wa innee a’bdoka wa zaaa-eroka motaqarreban ilaika be zeyaarate akhee rasooleka wa a’laa kulle maatiyyin wa mazoorin haqqun leman ataaho wa zaarahu wa anta khayro maatiyyin wa akramo mazoorin fa-as-aloka yaa allaaho yaa rahmaano yaa raheemo yaa jawaado yaa maajedo yaa ahado yaa samado yaa man lam yalid wa lam yoolad wa lam yakul lahu kofowan ahadun wa lam yattakhiz saahebatawn wa laa waladan.
O Allah: You have also bestowed upon them exclusive honor from You, and You have ordered me to follow them. O Allah: I am Your slave and visitor, Seeking Your nearness through visiting the brother of Your Messenger. Indeed, each visited person is expected to pay attention to his duty towards the one who visits and comes to him. and You are the Best One to Whom one may come, and You are the most Generous One to be visited; I therefore beseech You, O Allah; O All-beneficent, O All-merciful, O All-magnanimous, O All-glorious, O the One, O the Besought of all, O He Who never begets nor is He begotten, and the like of Whom is none, And He has not be taken wife or child.
اے معبود! تو نے ان کو اپنی طرف سے بزرگی دے کر خصوصیت عطا فرمائی اور ان کی پیروی کا حکم فرمایا اے معبود! میں تیرا بندہ ہوں اور وہ زائرہوں جو تیری قربت حاصل کرتا ہے تیرے نبیؐ کے بھائی کی زیارت سے اور ہر آنے والے زائر کا حق ہے اس پر جس کی زیارت آکر کی جارہی ہے اور آپ بہترین میزبان ہیں کہ جس کے پاس آیا جائے اوران سب سے زیادہ کریم ہیں جن کی زیارت کی جائے پس میں سوالی ہوں اے اللہ اے مہربان اے رحم کرنے والے عطا کرنے والے اے بزرگی والے اے یکتا اے بے نیاز اے وہ جس نے نہ جنا اور نہ جنا گیا اور نہ اس کا کوئی ہمسر ہے نہ اس نے کوئی بیوی رکھی نہ کسی کو اپنا بیٹا بنایا۔
اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاَنْ تَجْعَلَ تُحْفَتَكَ اِیَّایَ مِنْ زِیَارَتِیْ اَخَا رَسُوْلِكَ فَكَاكَ رَقَبَتِیْ مِنَ النَّارِ وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِیْ مِمَّنْ یُسَارِعُ فِی الْخَیْرَاتِ وَیَدْعُوْكَ رَغَبًا وَّرَهَبًا وَّتَجْعَلَنِیْ لَكَ مِنَ الْخَاِشِعِیْنَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ مَنَنْتَ عَلَیَّ بِزِیَارَۃِ مَوْلَایَ عَلِیِّ بْنِ اَبِیْطَالِبٍ وَ وِلَایَتِهٖ وَمَعْرِفَتِهٖ فَاجْعَلْنِیْ مِمَّنْ یَّنْصُرُهٗ وَیَنْتَصِرُ بِهٖ وَمُنَّ عَلَیَّ بِنَصْرِكَ لِدِیْنِكَ۔
An tosalleya a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa an taj-a’la tohfataka iyyaaya min zeyaaratee akhaa rasooleka fa-kaaka raqabatee menan naare wa an taj-a’lanee mimman yosaare-o’ fil khayraate wa yad-o’oka raghaban wa rahaban wa taj-a’lanee laka menal khaa-shee-e’ena allaahumma innaka mananta a’layya be-zeyaarate mawlaaya a’liyyibne abee taalebin wa welaayatehi wa ma’refatehi faj-a’lnee mimmayn yansorohu wa yantasero behi wa munna a’layya be nasreka le-deeneka.
(I beseech You) to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and to choose the gift that You present to me on account of my visiting Your Messenger’s brother, To be releasing me from Hellfire, and to include me with those who strive with one another in hastening to good deeds, and those who call on You with love and reverence, and to make me of those who are humble before You. O Allah: You have indeed conferred upon me with the favor of visiting my master; Ali ibn Abi-Talib, and with the favor of my being loyal to his (Divinely commissioned) leadership and the recognition of him; So, (please) make me of those whom You give victory and whom You choose to triumph through them. And (please) bestow me with the favor of making me support Your religion.
سوال ہے کہ تورحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر اور یہ کہ میں نے جو تیرے رسولؐ کے بھائی کی زیارت کی ہے اس پر مجھے تحفہ دے جو میری گردن کو آگ سے آزاد کرتا ہو نیز مجھے ان لوگوں میں قرار دے جو نیکیوں میں جلدی کرتے ہیں اور تجھے محبت اور خوف سے یاد کرتے ہیں اور مجھے ان لوگوں میں شامل کر جو تجھ سے ڈرتے ہیں اے معبود! بے شک تو نے مجھ پر احسان فرمایا کہ مجھ کو میرے آقا علی ابن ابی طالبؑ کی زیارت کرائی اور ان کی ولایت و معرفت بخشی ہے پس مجھے ان میں قرار دے جو ان کی مدد کرتے اور ان کی مدد پاتے ہیں نیز مجھ پر اپنے دین میں مدد دے کر احسان فرما۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ وَاجْعَلْنِیْ مِنْ شِیْعَتِهٖ وَتَوَفَّنِیْ عَلٰی دِیْنِهٖ۔ اَللّٰھُمَّ اَوْجِبْ لِیْ مِنَ الرَّحْمَۃِ وَالرِّضْوَانِ وَالْمَغْفِرَۃِ وَالْاِحْسَانِ وَالرِّزْقِ الْوَاسِعِ الْحَلَالِ الطَّیِّبِ مَآ اَنْتَ اَهْلُهٗ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ۔
Allaahumma waj-a’lnee min shee-a’tehi wa tawaffanee a’laa deenehi allaahumma awjib lee menar rahmate war-rizwaane wal maghferate wal-ehsaane war-rizqil waa-se-i’l halaalit tayyebe maa anta ahlohu yaa arhamar raahemeena wal hamdo lillaahe rabbil a’alameen.
O Allah: (please) include me with the adherents of him and cause me to die following his doctrine. O Allah: (please) cause me to deserve mercy and pleasure and forgiveness and favor and sustenance that is growing, legally gotten, and pleasant, (and make it) suitable to Your favoring; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy. All praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
اے معبود! مجھے ان کے پیروکاروں میں شامل فرما اور ان کے دین پر موت دے اے معبود! واجب کر میرے لئے اپنی رحمت خوشنودی بخشش احسان اور حلال و پاک زیادہ روزی عطا کر جس کا تو اہل ہے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے اور حمد ہے خدا کے لئے جو جہانوں کا رب ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
