Adeelahدُعاء عدیلہ

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Allah (Himself) is witness that there is no god but He. The angels and the men of wisdom, standing firm for justice (too are witness). That there is no god but He, the Almighty, the All-Wise. Verily, religion with Allah is Islam. And I, a timid servant, sinful, guilty, insignificant, needy, destitute, give witness of my Benefactor, my creator, my Sustainer, and my liberal patron, just as He Himself testifies, and testify the Angles and the men of wisdom, His servants.

خدا گواہ ہے کہ سوائے اس کے کوئی معبود نہیں نیز ملائکہ اور با انصاف صاحبانِ علم بھی اس پر گواہی دے رہے ہیں کہ سوائے اس کے کوئی معبود نہیں جو صاحبِ عزّت حکمت والا ہے یقینًا خدا کا پسندیدہ دین اسلام ہی ہے اور میں جو ایک ناتواں گناہ گار خطاکار حاجت مند اور حقیر بندہ ہوں میں اپنے نعمت دینے والے، خالق، رازق اور اپنے کرم فرما خدا کی گواہی دیتا ہوں، جیسے اس نے اپنی ذات کی گواہی دی ہے۔

That verily there is no god but He, Possessor of bounties and favours, generosity and blessings, Eternal almighty, Ever-lasting, knower, One and only Ever-living, Ever-existing, Hearer, seer, willing, discriminating, Aware, Independent. Worthy is He of these attributes, although, truly speaking, He is over and above attribution. He was Almighty prior to the creation of might and power. He was wise before the conception of knowledge and reason was brought about. He was Absolute Sovereign even when there was no kingdom or possession.

سوائے اس کے کوئی معبود نہیں جو نعمت، احسان و کرم اور عطا کا مالک ہے اور وہ ہمیشہ سے صاحبِ قدرت اور دائمی صاحبِ علم،زندہ،یکتا اور ہمیشگی والا موجود ہے سننے والا دیکھنے والا ارادے والا ناپسند کرنے والا پا لینے والا بے نیاز ہے وہ ان صفات کا صحیح حق دار ہے اور وہ دیگر صفات کا بھی مالک ہے جو بہت بڑی صفات ہیں کہ قدرت اور قوت کے وجود میں آنے سے قبل وہ صاحبِ قوت تھا اور وہ صاحبِ علم تھا علم اور دلیل ایجاد ہونے سے پہلے وہ مستقل سلطان تھا جب نہ کوئی ملک تھا اور نہ مال۔

He is Glory under all circumstances. His supreme Being is prior to antecedence, and Eternal, without a beginning. He will survive continually beyond the end of everything, imperishable, and without an end. He has no needs; in the beginning as well as in the end. He is able free from dependence, by Himself, whether inward, or outward, There is no injustice in His Judgment, no unfairness in His management, no oppression in His administration. (It is) impossible to escape His Sovereignty, or to run away from His firm grip, or to avoid His punishment.

وہ لازوال پاکیزہ تھا ہر ہر حال میں کہ اس کا وجود قبل سےقبل اور ازلوں کے ازل سے ہے اور اس کی بقا بعد سے بعدتک ہے کہ جس میں نہ تبدیلی ہے نہ زوال وہ اول و آخر سے بے نیاز اور ظاہر و باطن میں بے پرواہ ہے اس کے فیصلے میں ظلم نہیں اور اس کی مرضی میں طرف داری نہیں ہے اس کی تقدیر میں ستم نہیں اور اس کی حکومت سے فرار ممکن نہیں اس کا قہر آئے تو کوئی پناہ نہیں اور وہ عذاب کرے تو نجات نہیں۔

His mercy overtakes his anger. If a (handicapped) person asks for anything from Him, unable to approach Him (properly) on account of frustrating trouble, he is treated in the matter of fulfillment at par with an able beseecher. He has given capacity to carry out (His) commands, has made it easy to avoid (His) prohibitions and has not made obedience cumbersome but according to one’s competency. Glory be to Him! How kind is He! Highest is His glory.

اس کی رحمت،غضب سے پہلے ہے جسے وہ طلب کرے وہ فرار نہیں کرسکتا اس نے فریضوں میں تمام موانع کو دور کر دیا اور توفیق دینے میں ادنیٰ و اعلیٰ میں برابری رکھی ہے حکم کردہ باتوں پر عمل کو ممکن اور گناہ سے بچنے کا راستہ آسان کردیا ہے اس نے وسعت و طاقت سے کمتر فریضے عائد کیے ہیں پاک ہے وہ جس کا کرم کتنا واضح اور شان کتنی بلند ہے۔

Glory be to Him! How wonderful His gifts! And certainly his favours are countless. He sent down Prophets to explain clearly His justice, appointed guides to make known his power and generosity, and put us among the ummah (followers) of the Prophet-in-chief, the closest friend of Allah, the superlative being, and the most pious, Muhammad, Allah’s blessings and peace be on him and on his descendants.

پاک ہے وہ کہ جس کی عطا کتنی عمدہ اور احسان کتنا بڑا ہے اس نے اپنے عدل کی تشریح کے لئے انبیاءؑ بھیجے اور اپنے فضل و کرم کے اظہار کی خاطر اوصیاء کو مامور فرمایا اور ہمیں نبیوں کے سردار ولیوں میں بہتر برگزیدوں میں سب سے افضل اور پاک بازوں میں سب سے بلند حضرت محمدؐ کی امت میں قرار دیا۔

We believed in him and in what he called us to, and in the Holy Quran, He revealed to him, and in his successor Ali, appointed by him on the day of Ghadeer, and identified in clear words: “This is Ali”. I testify that there are pious Imams and righteous successors, after the chosen Messenger, from Ali, the subduer of infidels. After him, his eldest son, Hasan bin Ali, thereafter his brother, Hussain, the grandson of the Messenger of Allah, who follows the pleasure of Allah.

ہم ان پر ایمان لائے اور ان کے پیغام پر اور قرآن پر جو ان پر نازل ہوا اور ان کے جانشین پر جسے انہوں نے یومِ غدیر مقرر کیا اور اپنی زبان سے فرمایا کہ یہ ہے علیؑ جو میرا وصی ہے اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ حضرت رسولؐ کے بعد نیکوکار امامؑ اور بہترین جانشین ہیں۔ جن میں علیؑ ہی کافروں کو ختم کرنے والے ہیں اور ان کے بعد ان کی اولاد کے سردار حسنؑ ابن علیؑ پھر ان کے بھائی نواسئہ رسولؐ، اللہ کی رضاؤں کے طلب گار حسینؑ ہیں

Then Ali, the adorer of Allah (A’abid), then Muhammad, the treasure of knowledge (Baaqir), then Ja’far, the truthful (S’aadiq), then Moosa the sagacious (Kaaz’im), then Ali the devoted (Riz’aa), then Muhammad the pious (Taqiyy), then Ali the pure (Naqiyy), then Hasan the gatherer (A’skariyy), then, the awaited saviour, evident argument and established successor, my hope, because of whose perpetuity, the world is going on; because of whose blessings all living beings get their daily bread, because of whose presence, the heaven and the earth stay stable; and through him Allah will fill the earth with equity and justice, when it is run over with tyranny and oppression.

پھر علیؑ ابن الحسینؑ پھر محمد باقرؑپھر جعفر صادقؑ پھر موسیٰ کاظمؑ پھر علی رضاؑ پھر محمد تقیؑ ہیں ان کے بعد علی نقیؑ ہیں پھر حسن عسکری زکیؑ ہیں پھر حضرت حجت خلف قائم المنتظر مہدیؑ امیدگاہ خلق ہیں جن کی بقاء سے دنیا قائم ہے اور ان کی برکت سے مخلوق کو روزی ملتی ہے اور ان کے وجود سے زمین و آسمان برقرار ہیں اور ان کے ذریعے اﷲ تعالیٰ زمین کو عدل وانصاف سے بھر دے گا جب کہ وہ ظلم و جور سے بھر چکی ہوگی۔

I bear witness that their words are decisive arguments; to follow their example is obligatory, to obey them is compulsory, to love them is necessary (because it has been) preordained, to take after them is sure salvation, to oppose them is certain destruction. They are the chiefs of the people of paradise, effective helpers on the Day of Judgment, the best guides for the mankind, surely the best approved successors.

میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ ان ائمہ کے اقوال حجت، ان پر عمل کرناواجب اور ان کی پیروی فرض ہے اور ان سے محبت رکھنا ضروری و لازم ہے ان کی اطاعت باعثِ نجات اور ان سے مخالفت تباہی کا سبب ہے اور وہ سب کے سب اہلِ جنت کے سردار ہیں قیامت میں شفاعت کرنے والے اور یقینی طور پر اہلِ زمین کے امامؑ ہیں وہ پسندیدہ اوصیاء میں سے افضل ہیں۔

I testify that death is certain, interrogation in the grave is certain, raising of the dead is certain, resurrection is certain, Siraat (the bridge over hell) is certain, Meezan (the scale) is certain, Hisaab (accountability) is certain, The Book (Holy Quraan) is true, paradise is real, Hell is real, and certainly the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it. Verily Allah shall raise the dead from their graves.

اور میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ موت حق ہے قبر میں سوال و جواب حق ہیں دوبارہ اٹھنا حق ہے قیامت میں حاضری حق ہے صراط سے گزرنا حق ہے میزانِ عمل حق ہے حساب حق ہے اور کتاب حق ہےاسی طرح جنت حق ہے اور جہنم حق ہے نیز قیامت آنے والی ہے اس میں کوئی شک نہیں اور اللہ انہیں ضرور اٹھائے گا جو قبروں میں ہیں۔

O Allah! I hope to receive Thy favour, Thy generosity and mercy I expect for getting into paradise, for my conduct gives me no right, for obtaining Thy bliss as I was not obedient, except that I believe Thy Oneness, and Thy Justice. I depend upon Thy favours, and Thy generosity. I seek intercession with Thee through the Prophet and his progeny, Thy beloved ones. Thou art the most Generous, the most Merciful. O Allah send blessings on our Prophet, Muhammad, and on his pious and pure progeny, all of them, and abundant peace.

اے معبود! تیرا فضل میرا سہارا اور تیری رحمت و بخشش میری امید ہے میرا کوئی ایسا عمل نہیں جس سے میں جنت کا حق دا ر بنوں اور نہ عبادت ہے جو تیری خوشنودی کا باعث ہو سوائے اس کے کہ میں تیری توحید و عدل پر اعتقاد رکھتا ہوں اور تیرے فضل و احسان کی امید رکھتا ہوں۔ اور تیرے حضور تیرے نبیؐ اور ان کی آلؑ کی شفاعت لایا ہوں جو تیرے محبوب ہیں اور تو سب سے زیادہ کرم کرنے والااور سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والا ہے اور ہمارے نبی محمدؐ پر اور ان کی ساری آلؑ پر خدا کی رحمت ہو جو پاک و پاکیزہ ہیں اور ان پر سلام ہو سلامِ خاص زیادہ بہت زیادہ

There is no authority and no might except Allah’s, the High, the Great. My Allah! O the most Merciful, I deposit my beliefs and religion with Thee as a Trust, Thou art the best of all trustees, We have been commanded to preserve that which is entrusted to us, so give back (what I have deposited now) at the time of my death , through Thy Mercy, O the Most Merciful.

اور نہیں کوئی طاقت و قوت مگر وہ جو بلند وبرتر خدا سے ملتی ہے اے معبود! اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے بے شک میں اپنا یہ عقیدہ اوردین میں ثابت قدمی تیرے سپرد کرتا ہوں اور تو بہترین امانت دار ہے اور تو نے ہمیں امانتوں کی حفاظت کا حکم دیا ہےلہٰذا اپنی رحمت سے میرا یہ عقیدہ موت کے وقت مجھے یاد دلادینا تجھے تیری رحمت کا واسطہ اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

O Allah, I seek Your protection against deviation at the hour of death.

اے معبود! موت کے وقت اس عقیدے سے پلٹنے سے، میں تیری پناہ طلب کرتا ہوں۔

O Allah, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy, I am depositing with You this faith of mine and my firmness on this belief; and You are the ever-best of all those who keep deposits. You have commanded us to keep safe deposits that are put with us; so, (please) keep for me this deposit to give it back to me at the time of my death.

اے معبود!اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے بے شک میں اپنا یہ عقیدہ اور دین میں اپنی ثابت قدمی تیرے سپرد کرتا ہوں اور تو بہترین امانت دار ہے اور تو نے ہمیں امانتوں کی حفاظت کا حکم دیا ہے لہٰذا اپنی رحمت سے میرا یہ عقیدہ وقتِ موت مجھے یاد دلادینا۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
