دُعاء الحاج
A short supplication for relief. The reciter appeals to Allah by the name with which the sky and the earth are held upright, by which truth is told apart from evil, the separated are joined and the joined are parted, and by which the pebbles are numbered, the mountains weighed and the oceans measured. He then asks Allah to bless Muhammad and his progeny, and to grant him relief and a way out of the matter that presses on him.
Lines marked auto had their transliteration produced from the vowelled Arabic rather than typed by hand, and the Centre’s alim has not read them yet. The Arabic is the text: where the two differ, follow the Arabic.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَسْاَلُكَ بَاسْمِكَ الَّذِیْ بِهٖ تَقُوْمُ السَّمَائَ، وَبِهٖ تَقُوْمُ الْاَرْضَ، وَبِهٖ تُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ الْحَقِّ وَالْبَاطِلِ، وَبِهٖ تَجْمَعُ بَیْنَ الْمُتَفَرِّقِ، وَبِهٖ تُفَرِّقُ بَیْنَ الْمُجْتَمَعِ، وَبِهٖ اَحْصَیْتَ عَدَدَ الرِّمَالِ، وَزِنَۃَ الْجِبَالِ، وَكَیْلَ الْبِحَارِ، اَنْ تُصَلِّیَ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَاَنْ تَجْعَلْ لِیْ مِنْ اَمْرِیْ فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا۔
Allaahumma innee asaluka basmika allazee bihee taqoomu as-samaa'a, wabihee taqoomu al-arda, wabihee tufarriqu bayna al-haqqi wal-baatili, wabihee tajma'u bayna al-mutafarriqi, wabihee tufarriqu bayna al-mujtama'i, wabihee ahsayta 'adada ar-rimaali, wazinata al-jibaali, wakayla al-bihaari, an tusalliya 'alaa muhammadin waali muhammadin, waan taj'al lee min amree farajan wamakhrajan. auto
O Allah! Indeed I beseech You in You name with which the sky is upright, and with which the earth is upright, and with which we differentiate between truth and evil, and with which we join the separated ones, and with which we segregate the joined ones, and with which we count the number of pebbles, and the weight of the mountains, and the measurement of the Oceans, to bless Mohammad and his holy Progeny, and to give me relief and a point of exit for my affair.
اے اللہ! میں تجھ سے تیرے اُس نام کے وسیلے سے سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے ذریعے آسمان قائم ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے زمین قائم ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو حق اور باطل کے درمیان جدائی کرتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو بکھرے ہوئے کو جمع کرتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو جمع شدہ میں فرق ڈال دیتا ہے، اور جس کے ذریعے تو نے ریت کے ذروں کی تعداد، پہاڑوں کا وزن، اور سمندروں کی پیمائش کو گن/مقرر کر رکھا ہے کہ تو محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج، اور میرے کام میں میرے لیے کشادگی (آسانی) اور نکلنے کا راستہ پیدا فرما۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
