Muhadith Nuri (may Allah have mercy on him) said narrating from Kafa'ami in his book Baladul Ameen that Imam Al-Mahdi (a) said: Whoever writes this supplication in a new plate with Imam Husain's soil (a) and later washes it and drinks it shall recover from his sickness…
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
"In the Name of Allah" is a remedy, "Praise be to Allah" is a cure, and "There is no god but Allah" is a sufficiency. He is the Healer, a cure; He is the Sufficer, a sufficiency, remove the affliction by the Lord of mankind, (grant) a cure that leaves no illness behind and may Allah bless Muhammad and his noble family.
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
Mohaddis e Noori writes in continuation that: I found a manuscript from Sayyid Zain ud deen Ali bin Husain Husaini which mentioned: This supplication was learned by a man residing in Karbala in the state of his dream from Imam Mahdi (a). He was suffering from a sickness regarding which he expressed his grievance to Imam Mahdi (a) and his holiness commanded him to write this supplication, then wash it and drink it. He abided by the command and recovered from his sickness.
