Hadees-e-Kisa, the Tradition of the Cloak, is among the most beloved narrations of the Shia tradition. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
عَنْ جَابِرِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللہِ الْاَنْصَارِیْ عَنْ فَاطِمَۃَ الزَّھْرَآءِ عَلَیْھَا السَّلَامُ بِنْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ۔
قَالَ سَمِعْتُ فَاطِمَۃَ اَنَّھَا قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَیَّ اَبِیْ رَسُوْلُ اللہِ فِیْ بَعْضِ الْاَیَّامِ۔
فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكِ یَافَاطِمَۃُ فَقُلْتُ عَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ۔
قَالَ اِنِّیْٓ اَجِدُ فِیْ بَدَنِیْ ضُعْفًا فَقُلْتُ لَہٗ اُعِیْذُكَ بِاللہِ یَااَبَتَاہُ مِنَ الضُّعْفِ۔
فَقَالَ یَافَاطِمَۃُ اِئْتِیْنِیْ بِالْكِسَآءِ الْیَمَانِیْ فَغَطِّیْنِیْ بِہٖ فَاَتَیْتُہٗ بِہٖ وَصِرْتُ اَنْظُرُ اِلَیْہِ وَاِذَا وَجْھُہٗ یَتَلَألَؤُ كَاَنَّہُ الْبَدْرُ فِیْ لَیْلَۃِ تَمَامِہٖ وَكَمَالِہٖ (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
'An jaabiri ibni 'abdi allaahi al-ansaaree 'an faatimata az-zahraa'i 'alayhaa as-salaamu binti rasooli allaahi sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalihee wasallam.
Qaala sami'tu faatimata annahaa qaalat dakhala 'alayya abee rasoolu allaahi fee ba'di al-ayyaam.
Faqaala as-salaamu 'alayki yaa faatimatu faqultu 'alayka as-salaam.
Qaala innee ajidu fee badanee du'fan faqultu lahoo u'eezuka billaahi yaa abataahu mina ad-du'f.
Faqaala yaa faatimatu i'teenee bil-kisaa'i al-yamaanee faghatteenee bihee fa-ataytuhoo bihee wasirtu anzuru ilayhi wa-izaa wajhuhoo yatala'la'u ka-annahu al-badru fee laylati tamaamihee wakamaalihee (salawaat).
One day my father, the Prophet of Allah, came to my house and said to me: "Peace be on you, Fatimah" I replied: "And upon you be peace" Then he said: "I feel weakness in my body" I said: "Allah protects you from weakness, father" He said: "Fatimah, please bring Yemeni cloak and cover me with it" So, I brought the Yemeni cloak and covered him with it. Then, I looked at him and saw that his face was shining like a full moon with its glory and splendor.
جابر ابن عبداﷲ انصاری بی بی فاطمہ زہراؑ بنت رسول اﷲؐسے روایت کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے جناب فاطمۃ الزہراءؑ سے سنا ہے کہ وہ فرما رہی تھیں کہ ایک دن میرے بابا جان جناب رسولؐ خدا میرے گھر تشریف لائے اور فرمانے لگے:’’ سلام ہو تم پر اے فاطمہؑ!‘‘ میں نے جواب دیا:’’آپ پر بھی سلام ہو‘‘۔ پھر آپ نے فرمایا:’’ میں اپنے جسم میں کمزوری محسوس کررہا ہوں‘‘ میں نے عرض کی:’’ باباجان خدا نہ کرے جو آپ میں کمزوری آئے‘‘ آپ نے فرمایا:’’اے فاطمہؑ! مجھے ایک یمنی چادر لاکر اوڑھا دو‘‘ تب میں یمنی چادر لے آئی اور میں نے وہ بابا جان کو اوڑھادی اور میں دیکھ رہی تھی کہ آپ کاچہرۂ مبارک چمک رہا ہے جس طرح چودھویں رات کو چاند پوری طرح چمک رہا ہو۔
فَمَا كَانَتْ اِلَّا سَاعَۃً وَّاِذَا بِوَلَدِیَ الْحَسَنِ قَدْ اَقْبَلَ۔
وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكِ یَااُمَّاہٗ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَا قُرَّۃَ عَیْنِیْ وَثَمَرَۃَ فُؤَادِیْ۔
فَقَالَ یَااُمَّاہٗ اِنِّیْٓ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَۃً طَیِّبَۃً كَاَنَّھَا رَآئِحَۃُ جَدِّیْ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ اِنَّ جَدَّكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَاَقْبَلَ الْحَسَنُ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِ۔
Famaa kaanat illaa saa'atan wa-izaa biwaladiya al-hasani qad aqbal.
Waqaala as-salaamu 'alayki yaa ummaahoo faqultu wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa qurrata 'aynee wathamarata fu'aadee.
Faqaala yaa ummaahoo innee ashammu 'indaki raa'ihatan tayyibatan ka-annahaa raa'ihatu jaddee rasooli allaahi faqultu na'am inna jaddaka tahta al-kisaa'i fa-aqbala al-hasanu nahwa al-kisaa'.
After a while, my son Hasan came in and said: "Peace be on you, mother" I replied: "And upon you peace, O light of my eyes, and the delight of my heart" He then said: "Mother! I smell a fragrance so sweet and so pure as that of my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah". I replied: "Yes. Your grandfather is lying underneath the cloak". Hasan went near the cloak
پھر ایک ساعت ہی گزری تھی کہ میرے بیٹے حسنؑ وہاں آگئے اور وہ بولے: سلام ہو آپ پر اے والدۂ محترمہؑ! میں نے کہا: اور تم پر سلام ہو اے میری آنکھ کے تارے اور میرے دل کے ٹکڑے۔ وہ کہنے لگے: امی جانؑ! میں آپ کے ہاں پاکیزہ خوشبو محسوس کر رہا ہوں جیسے وہ میرے نانا جان رسول خداؐ کی خوشبو ہو۔ میں نے کہا: ہاں وہ تمہارے نانا جان چادر اوڑھے ہوئے ہیں۔ اس پر حسنؑ چادر کی طرف بڑھے
وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَاجَدَّاہٗ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ اَتَاْذَنُ لِیْ اَنْ اَدْخُلَ مَعَكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَاوَلَدِیْ وَیَا صَاحِبَ حَوْضِیْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ مَعَہٗ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Waqaala as-salaamu 'alayka yaa jaddaahoo yaa rasoola allaahi ata'zanu lee an adkhula ma'aka tahta al-kisaa'i faqaala wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa waladee wayaa saahiba hawdee qad azintu laka fadakhala ma'ahoo tahta al-kisaa'i (salawaat).
and said: "Peace be on you, my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my son and the master of my fountain (Kauthar), you are given the permission to enter" So, Hasan entered the cloak with him.
اور کہا: سلا م ہو آپ پر اے نانا جان، اے خدا کے رسولؐ! کیا مجھے اجازت ہے کہ آپ کے پاس چادر میں آجاؤں؟ آپ نے فرمایا :تم پر بھی سلام ہو اے میرے بیٹے اور اے میرے حوض کے مالک! میں تمہیں اجازت دیتا ہوں پس حسنؑ آپ کے ساتھ چادر میں پہنچ گئے۔
فَمَا كَانَتْ اِلَّا سَاعَۃً وَّاِذَا بِوَلَدِیَ الْحُسَیْنِ قَدْ اَقْبَلَ وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكِ یَااُمَّاہٗ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَاوَلَدِیْ وَیَا قُرَّۃَ عَیْنِیْ وَثَمَرَۃَ فُؤَادِیْ۔
فَقَالَ لِیْ یَا اُمَّاہُ اِنِّیْٓ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَۃً طَیِّبَۃً كَاَنَّھَا رَآئِحَۃُ جَدِّیْ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ۔
Famaa kaanat illaa saa'atan wa-izaa biwaladiya al-husayni qad aqbala waqaala as-salaamu 'alayki yaa ummaahoo faqultu wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa waladee wayaa qurrata 'aynee wathamarata fu'aadee.
Faqaala lee yaa ummaahu innee ashammu 'indaki raa'ihatan tayyibatan ka-annahaa raa'ihatu jaddee rasooli allaahi sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalih.
After a while, my son Husain came in and said: "Peace be on you, mother" I replied: "And upon you peace, my son, O light of my eyes, and the delight of my heart" He then said: "Mother! I smell a sweet fragrance like that of my grandfather, the Prophet of Allah"
پھر ایک ساعت ہی گزری ہوگی کہ میرے بیٹے حسینؑ بھی وہاں آگئے اورکہنے لگے: سلام ہو آپ پر اے والدۂ محترمہؑ۔ تب میں نے کہا: اور تم پربھی سلام ہو اے میرے بیٹے، میری آنکھ کے تارے اور میرے لخت جگر! اس پروہ مجھ سے کہنے لگے:امی جانؑ! میں آپ کے ہاں پاکیزہ خوشبو محسوس کررہا ہوں جیسے میرے نانا جان رسولؐ خدا کی خوشبو ہو۔
فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ اِنَّ جَدَّكَ وَاَخَاكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَدَنَی الْحُسَیْنُ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِ وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَاجَدَّاہٗ۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَامَنِ اخْتَارَہُ اللہُ اَتَاْذَنُ لِیْٓ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مَعَكُمَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ۔
فَقَالَ عَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَاوَلَدِیْ وَیَا شَافِعَ اُمَّتِیْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ مَعَھُمَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Faqultu na'am inna jaddaka wa-akhaaka tahta al-kisaa'i fadanaa al-husaynu nahwa al-kisaa'i waqaala as-salaamu 'alayka yaa jaddaah.
As-salaamu 'alayka yaa mani ikhtaarahu allaahu ata'zanu lee an akoona ma'akumaa tahta al-kisaa'.
Faqaala 'alayka as-salaamu yaa waladee wayaa shaafi'a ummatee qad azintu laka fadakhala ma'ahumaa tahta al-kisaa'i (salawaat).
I replied: "Yes. Your grandfather and your brother are lying underneath the cloak". Husain stepped towards the cloak and said: "Peace be on you, my grandfather, the Chosen of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my son and interceder of my followers, you are given the permission to enter" So, Husain entered the cloak with them.
میں نے کہا: ہاں تمہارے نانا جان اور بھائی جان اس چادرمیں ہیں۔ پس حسینؑ چادر کے نزدیک آئے اور بولے: سلام ہو آپ پر اے نانا جانؐ! سلام ہو آپ پر اے وہ نبیؐ جسے خدانے منتخب کیا ہے۔ کیا مجھے اجازت ہے کہ آپ دونوں کے ساتھ چادر میں داخل ہوجاؤں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اور تم پر بھی سلام ہو اے میرے بیٹے اوراے میری امت کی شفاعت کرنے والے! میں تمہیں اجازت دیتا ہوں۔ تب حسینؑ ان دونوں کے پاس چادر میں چلے گئے۔
فَاَقْبَلَ عِنْدَ ذٰلِكَ اَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِیُّ بْنُ اَبِیْ طَالِبٍ۔
وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكِ یَابِنْتَ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَااَبَا الْحَسَنِ وَیَااَمِیْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ فَقَالَ یَافَاطِمَۃُ اِنِّیْ اَشَمُّ عِنْدَكِ رَآئِحَۃً طَیِّبَۃً كَاَنَّھَا رَآئِحَۃُ اَخِیْ وَابْنِ عَمِّیْ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ۔
Fa-aqbala 'inda zaalika aboo al-hasani 'aliyyu ibnu abee taalib.
Waqaala as-salaamu 'alayki yaa binta rasooli allaahi faqultu wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa abaa al-hasani wayaa ameera al-mu'mineena faqaala yaa faatimatu innee ashammu 'indaki raa'ihatan tayyibatan ka-annahaa raa'ihatu akhee wabni 'ammee rasooli allaah.
After a while, Abul Hasan, Ali bin Abi Talib came in and said: "Peace be on you, O daughter of the Prophet of Allah" I replied: "And upon you peace, O father of Hasan, and the Commander of the faithful" He then said: "Fatimah! I smell a sweet fragrance like that of my brother, (my cousin), the Prophet of Allah"
اس کے بعد ابوالحسنؑ علی ابن ابی طالبؑ بھی وہاں آگئے اور بولے: سلام ہو آپ پر اے رسولؐ خدا کی دختر!میں نے کہا: آپ پر بھی سلام ہو اے ابولحسنؑ !، اے مومنوں کے امیر! وہ کہنے لگے: اے فاطمہؑ! میں آپ کے ہاں پاکیزہ خوشبو محسوس کر رہا ہوں جیسے میرے برادر اور میرے چچا زاد، رسول خداؐ کی خوشبو ہو
فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ ھَا ھُوَ مَعَ وَلَدَیْكَ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَاَقْبَلَ عَلِیٌّ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِ وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ اَتَاْذَنُ لِیْ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مَعَكُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ۔
وَقَالَ لَہٗ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَااَخِیْ یَاوَصِیِّیْ وَخَلِیْفَتِیْ وَصَاحِبَ لِوَآئِیْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ عَلِیٌّ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآء (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Faqultu na'am haa huwa ma'a waladayka tahta al-kisaa'i fa-aqbala 'aliyyun nahwa al-kisaa'i waqaala as-salaamu 'alayka yaa rasoola allaahi ata'zanu lee an akoona ma'akum tahta al-kisaa'.
Waqaala lahoo wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa akhee yaa wasiyyee wakhaleefatee wasaahiba liwaa'ee qad azintu laka fadakhala 'aliyyun tahta al-kisaa' (salawaat).
I replied: "Yes. He is underneath the cloak with your two sons". So, Ali went near the cloak and said: "Peace be on you, Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my brother, my legatee, my successor, and my standard bearer, you are given the permission to enter" So, Ali entered the cloak with them.
میں نے جواب دیا :ہاں وہ آپ کے دونوں بیٹوں سمیت چادر کے اندر ہیں۔ پھر علیؑ چادر کے قریب ہوئے اور کہا:سلام ہوآپ پر اے خدا کے رسولؐ! کیا مجھے اجازت ہے کہ میں بھی آپ تینوں کے پاس چادر میں آجاؤں؟ آپ نے ان سے کہا: اور تم پر بھی سلام ہو، اے میرے بھائی، میرے قائم مقام، میرے جانشین اور میرے علم بردار! میں تمہیں اجازت دیتا ہوں۔پس علیؑ بھی چادر میں پہنچ گئے۔
ثُمَّ اَتَیْتُ نَحْوَ الْكِسَآءِ وَقُلْتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَااَبَتَاہُ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ اَتَاْذَنُ لِیْ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ مَعَكُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ وَعَلَیْكِ السَّلَامُ یَابِنْتِیْ وَیَا بِضْعَتِیْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكِ فَدَخَلْتُ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Thumma ataytu nahwa al-kisaa'i waqultu as-salaamu 'alayka yaa abataahu yaa rasoola allaahi ata'zanu lee an akoona ma'akum tahta al-kisaa'i faqaala wa'alayki as-salaamu yaa bintee wayaa bid'atee qad azintu laki fadakhaltu tahta al-kisaa'i (salawaat).
Then I stepped forward and said: "Peace be on you, my father, O Prophet of Allah; May I enter the cloak with you?" He replied: "And upon you peace, my daughter, O part of my self; you are given the permission to enter" So, I entered the cloak with them.
پھر میں چادر کے نزدیک آئی اور میں نے کہا: سلام ہو آپ پر اے بابا جان! اے خدا کے رسولؐ کیا آپ اجازت دیتے ہیں کہ میں آپ کے پاس چادر میں آجاؤں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اور تم پر بھی سلام ہو میری بیٹی اور میری پارۂ جگر، میں نے تمہیں اجازت دی تب میں بھی چادر میں داخل ہوگئی۔
فَلَمَّا اكْتَمَلْنَا جَمِیْعًا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ اَخَذَ اَبِیْ رَسُوْلُ اللہِ بِطَرَفَیِ الْكِسَآءِ وَاَوْمَیَٔ بِیَدِہِ الْیُمْنٰی اِلَی السَّمَآءِ وَقَالَ۔
اَللّٰھُمَّ اِنَّ ھٰؤُلَآءِ اَھْلُ بَیْتِیْ وَخَاصَّتِیْ وَحَآمَّتِیْ لَحْمُھُمْ لَحْمِیْ وَدَمُھُمْ دَمِیْ یُؤْلِمُنِیْ مَا یُؤْلِمُھُمْ وَیَحْزُنُنِیْ مَا یَحْزُنُھُمْ اَنَا حَرْبٌ لِّمَنْ حَارَبَھُمْ وَسِلْمٌ لِّمَنْ سَالَمَھُمْ وَعَدُوٌّ لِّمَنْ عَادَاھُمْ وَمُحِبٌّ لِّمَنْ اَحَبَّھُمْ اِنَّھُمْ مِنِّیْ وَاَنَا مِنْھُمْ فَاجْعَلْ صَلَوٰتِكَ وَبَرَكَاتِكَ وَرَحْمَتَكَ وَغُفْرَانَكَ وَرِضْوَانَكَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلَیْھِمْ وَاَذْھِبْ عَنْھُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَھِّرْھُمْ تَطْھِیْرًا (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Falammaa iktamalnaa jamee'an tahta al-kisaa'i akhaza abee rasoolu allaahi bitarafayi al-kisaa'i wa-awma'a biyadihi al-yumnaa ilaa as-samaa'i waqaal.
Allaahumma inna haa'ulaa'i ahlu baytee wakhaassatee wahaammatee lahmuhum lahmee wadamuhum damee yu'limunee maa yu'limuhum wayahzununee maa yahzunuhum anaa harbun liman haarabahum wasilmun liman saalamahum wa'aduwwun liman 'aadaahum wamuhibbun liman ahabbahum innahum minnee wa-anaa minhum faj'al salawaatika wabarakaatika warahmataka waghufraanaka waridwaanaka 'alayya wa'alayhim wa-azhib 'anhumu ar-rijsa watahhirhum tat-heeran (salawaat).
Getting together underneath the cloak, my father, the Prophet of Allah, held the two ends of the cloak and raised his right hand towards the heavens and prayed: "O Allah, these are the people of my Household (Ahlul-Bayt). They are my confidants and my supporters. Their flesh is my flesh and their blood is my blood. Whoever hurts them, hurts me too. Whoever displeases them, displeases me too. I am at war with those at war with them. I am at peace with those at peace with them. I am the enemy of their enemies and I am the friend of their friends. They are from me and I am from them. O Allah! Bestow Your Blessings, Benevolence, Mercy, Forgiveness and Your pleasure upon me and upon them. And remove impurity from them and keep them thoroughly pure".
جب ہم سب چادر میں اکٹھے ہوگئے تو میرے والد گرامی رسول اﷲؐنے چادر کے دونوں کنارے پکڑے اور دائیں ہاتھ سے آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کر کے فرمایا: اے خدا! یقینًا یہ ہیں میرے اہل بیتؑ، میرے خاص لوگ، اور میرے حامی،ان کا گوشت میرا گوشت اور ان کا خون میرا خون ہے جو انہیں ستائے وہ مجھے ستاتا ہے اور جو انہیں رنجیدہ کرے وہ مجھے رنجیدہ کرتا ہے۔ جو ان سے لڑے میں بھی اس سے لڑوں گا جو ان سے صلح رکھے میں بھی اس سے صلح رکھوں گا، میں ان کے دشمن کا دشمن اور ان کے دوست کا دوست ہوں کیوں کہ وہ مجھ سے ہیں اور میں ان سے ہوں۔ پس اے خدا! تو اپنی عنایتیں اور اپنی برکتیں اور اپنی رحمت اور اپنی بخشش اور اپنی خوشنودی میرے اور ان کے لئے قرار دے، ان سے ناپاکی کو دور رکھ، ان کو پاک کر، بہت ہی پاک۔
فَقَالَ اللہُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ یَا مَلَآئِكَتِیْ وَیَاسُكَّانَ سَمٰوٰتِیْ اِنِّیْ مَا خَلَقْتُ سَمَآءً مَّبْنِیَّۃً وَّلَا اَرْضًا مَّدْحِیَّۃً وَّلَا قَمَرًا مُّنِیْرًا وَّلَا شَمْسًا مُّضِیٓئَۃً وَّلَا فَلَكًا یَّدُوْرُ وَلَا بَحْرًا یَّجْرِیْ وَلَا فُلْكًا یَّسْرِیْٓ اِلَّا فِیْ مَحَبَّۃِ ھٰؤُلَآءِ الْخَمْسَۃِ الَّذِیْنَ ھُمْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ۔
فَقَالَ الْاَمِیْنُ جَبْرَآئِیْلُ یَارَبِّ وَمَنْ تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ فَقَالَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ھُمْ اَھْلُ بَیْتِ النُّبُوَّۃِ وَمَعْدِنُ الرِّسَالَۃِ ھُمْ فَاطِمَۃُ وَاَبُوْھَا وَبَعْلُھَا وَبَنُوْھَا (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Faqaala allaahu 'azza wajalla yaa malaa'ikatee wayaa sukkaana samaawaatee innee maa khalaqtu samaa'an mabniyyatan walaa ardan madhiyyatan walaa qamaran muneeran walaa shamsan mudee'atan walaa falakan yadooru walaa bahran yajree walaa fulkan yasree illaa fee mahabbati haa'ulaa'i al-khamsati allazeena hum tahta al-kisaa'.
Faqaala al-ameenu jabraa'eelu yaa rabbi waman tahta al-kisaa'i faqaala 'azza wajalla hum ahlu bayti an-nubuwwati wama'dinu ar-risaalati hum faatimatu wa-aboohaa waba'luhaa wabanoohaa (salawaat).
Then the Lord, Almighty Allah said: "O My angels! O Residents of My Heavens, verily, I have not created the erected Sky, the stretched earth, the illuminated moon, the bright sun, the rotating planets, the flowing seas and the sailing ships, but for the love of these Five lying underneath the cloak" Gabriel, the trusted angel, asked: "Who are under the cloak?" The Almighty answered: "They are the Household of Prophethood and the treasury of the Message. They are: Fatimah, her father, her husband and her two sons".
اس پر خدائے بزرگ و برتر نے فرمایا: اے میرے فرشتو اور اے آسمان میں رہنے والو! بے شک میں نے یہ مضبوط آسمان پیدا نہیں کیا اور نہ پھیلی ہوئی زمین، نہ چمکتا ہوا چاند، نہ روشن تر سورج، نہ گھومتے ہوئے سیارے، نہ چھلکتا اور بہتا ہوا سمندر اور نہ تیرتی ہوئی کشتی، مگر یہ سب چیزیں ان پانچ نفوس کی محبت میں پیدا کی ہیں جو اس چادر کے نیچے ہیں۔تو جبرائیلؑ امین نے پوچھا: اے پروردگار! اس چادر میں کون لوگ ہیں؟ خدائے عز وجل نے فرمایا: وہ نبیؐ کے اہل بیتؑ اور رسالت کا خزانہ ہیں۔ یہ فاطمہؑ اور ان کے بابا، ان کے شوہر، اور ان کے دو بیٹے ہیں۔
فَقَالَ جَبْرَآئِیْلُ یَارَبِّ اَتَاْذَنُ لِیْٓ اَنْ اَھْبِطَ اِلَی الْاَرْضِ لِاَكُوْنَ مَعَھُمْ سَادِسًا فَقَالَ اللہُ نَعَمْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَھَبَطَ الْاَمِیْنُ جَبْرَآئِیْلُ وَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ اَلْعَلِیُّ الْاَعْلٰی یُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامُ وَیَخُصُّكَ بِالتَّحِیَّۃِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ وَیَقُوْلُ لَكَ وَعِزَّتِیْ وَجَلَآلِیْ اِنِّیْ مَا خَلَقْتُ سَمَآءً مَّبْنِیَّۃً وَّلَا اَرْضًا مَّدْحِیَّۃً وَّلَا قَمَرًا مُّنِیْرًا وَّلَا شَمْسًا مُّضِیٓئَۃً وَّلَا فَلَكًا یَّدُوْرُ وَلَا بَحْرًا یَّجْرِیْ وَلَا فُلْكًا یَّسْرِیْ اِلَّا لِاَجْلِكُمْ وَمَحَبَّتِكُمْ۔
Faqaala jabraa'eelu yaa rabbi ata'zanu lee an ahbita ilaa al-ardi li-akoona ma'ahum saadisan faqaala allaahu na'am qad azintu laka fahabata al-ameenu jabraa'eelu waqaala as-salaamu 'alayka yaa rasoola allaahi al-'aliyyu al-a'laa yuqri'uka as-salaamu wayakhussuka bit-tahiyyati wal-ikraami wayaqoolu laka wa'izzatee wajalaalee innee maa khalaqtu samaa'an mabniyyatan walaa ardan madhiyyatan walaa qamaran muneeran walaa shamsan mudee'atan walaa falakan yadooru walaa bahran yajree walaa fulkan yasree illaa li-ajlikum wamahabbatikum.
Gabriel said: "O Lord, May I fly to earth to be the sixth of them?" Allah replied: "Yes. You are given the permission" Gabriel, the trusted, landed near them and said: "Peace be on you, O Prophet of Allah. The All-Highest conveys His peace on you and His greetings and says: 'By My Honor and Glory, verily, I have not created the erected Sky, the stretched earth, the illuminated moon, the bright sun, the rotating planets, the flowing seas and the sailing ships, but for your sake and love'.
تب جبرئیلؑ نے کہا:اے پروردگار! کیا مجھے اجازت ہے کہ زمین پر اتر جاؤں تا کہ ان میں شامل ہوکر چھٹی فردبن جاؤں؟ خدائے تعالیٰ نے فرمایا :ہاں ہم نے تجھے اجازت دی، پس جبرئیل امین زمین پر اتر آئے اور عرض کی: سلام ہو آپ پر اے خدا کے رسولؐ! خدا ئےبلند و برتر آپ کو سلام کہتا ہے، آپ کو درود اور بزرگواری سے خاص کرتا ہے، اور آپ سے کہتا ہے مجھے اپنی عزّت و جلالت کی قسم کہ بے شک میں نے نہیں پیدا کیا مضبوط آسمان اور نہ پھیلی ہوئی زمین، نہ چمکتا ہوا چاند، نہ روشن تر سورج نہ گھومتے ہوئے سیارے، نہ چھلکتا اور بہتا ہوا سمندر اور نہ تیرتی ہوئی کشتی مگر سب چیزیں تمہاری خاطر اور تمہاری محبت میں پیدا کی ہیں۔
وَقَدْ اَذِنَ لِیْ اَنْ اَدْخُلَ مَعَكُمْ فَھَلْ تَاْذَنُ لِیْ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ۔
فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللہِ وَعَلَیْكَ السَّلَامُ یَااَمِیْنَ وَحْیِ اللہِ اِنَّہٗ نَعَمْ قَدْ اَذِنْتُ لَكَ فَدَخَلَ جَبْرَآئِیْلُ مَعَنَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ۔
فَقَالَ لِاَبِیْ اِنَّ اللہَ قَدْ اَوْحٰٓی اِلَیْكُمْ یَقُوْلُ اِنَّمَا یُرِیْدُ اللہُ لِیُذْھِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ اَھْلَ الْبَیْتِ وَیُطَھِّرَكُمْ تَطْھِیْرًا (صَلَوَاتَ)۔
Waqad azina lee an adkhula ma'akum fahal ta'zanu lee yaa rasoola allaah.
Faqaala rasoolu allaahi wa'alayka as-salaamu yaa ameena wahyi allaahi innahoo na'am qad azintu laka fadakhala jabraa'eelu ma'anaa tahta al-kisaa'.
Faqaala li-abee inna allaaha qad awhaa ilaykum yaqoolu innamaa yureedu allaahu liyuzhiba 'ankumu ar-rijsa ahla al-bayti wayutahhirakum tat-heeran (salawaat).
God has given me permission to enter the cloak with you. May I join you, O Prophet of Allah?" The Prophet replied: "And peace be on you, O trusted bearer of Allah’s Revelations! you are granted the permission" So, Gabriel entered the cloak with us and said to my father: "Allah has revealed to you, saying: 'Verily Allah’s desire is to remove blemish from you, O People of the Household (Ahlul-Bayt), and to purify you with a perfect purification' (33:33)".
اور خدا نے مجھے اجازت دی ہے کہ آپ کے ساتھ چادر میں داخل ہو جاؤں تو اے خدا کے رسولؐ!کیا آپ بھی اجازت دیتے ہیں؟ تب رسولؐ خدا نے فرمایا: تم پر بھی سلام ہو اے خدا کی وحی کے امینؑ! ہاں میں تجھے اجازت دیتا ہوں پھر جبرائیلؑ بھی ہمارے ساتھ چادر میں داخل ہوگئے اور میرے باباجان سے کہا کہ یقینًا خدا آپ لوگوں کو وحی بھیجتا اور کہتا ہے: واقعی خدا نے یہ ارادہ کر لیا ہے کہ آپ لوگوں سے ناپاکی کو دور کرے اے اہل بیتؑ اور آپ کو پاک و پاکیزہ رکھے۔
فَقَالَ عَلِیٌّ لِاَبِیْ یَارَسُوْلَ اللہِ اَخْبِرْنِیْ مَا لِجُلُوْسِنَا ھٰذَا تَحْتَ الْكِسَآءِ مِنَ الْفَضْلِ عِنْدَ اللہِ فَقَالَ النَّبِیُّ وَالَّذِیْ بَعَثَنِیْ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِیًّا وَّاصْطَفَانِیْ بِالرِّسَالَۃِ نَجِیًّا مَّا ذُكِرَ خَبَرُنَا ھٰذَا فِیْ مَحْفِلٍ مِّنْ مَحَافِلِ اَھْلِ الْاَرْضِ وَفِیْہِ جَمْعٌ مِّنْ شِیْعَتِنَا وَمُحِبِّیْنَا اِلَّا وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَیْھِمُ الرَّحْمَۃُ وَحَفَّتْ بِھِمُ الْمَلَآئِكَۃُ وَاسْتَغْفَرَتْ لَھُمْ اِلٰی اَنْ یَّتَفَرَّقُوْا۔
Faqaala 'aliyyun li-abee yaa rasoola allaahi akhbirnee maa lijuloosinaa haazaa tahta al-kisaa'i mina al-fadli 'inda allaahi faqaala an-nabiyyu wallazee ba'athanee bil-haqqi nabiyyan wastafaanee bir-risaalati najiyyan maa zukira khabarunaa haazaa fee mahfilin min mahaafili ahli al-ardi wafeehi jam'un min shee'atinaa wamuhibbeenaa illaa wanazalat 'alayhimu ar-rahmatu wahaffat bihimu al-malaa'ikatu wastaghfarat lahum ilaa an yatafarraqoo.
Then Ali said to my father: "O Prophet of Allah, tell me: What significance has Allah reserved from His grace for this gathering of ours under this cloak?" The Prophet replied: "I swear by Him who rightfully appointed me a Prophet and chose me with the Message as His confidant: this episode of ours will not be recounted in any gathering from the gatherings of the people of the earth where a group of our shias and lovers are present except that there will descend upon them mercy! And angels will encircle them asking Allah the remission of their sins until the assembly disperses!".
تب علیؑ نے میرے باباجان سے کہا:اے خدا کے رسولؐ!مجھے بتایئے کہ ہم لوگوں کا اس چادر کے اندر آ جانا خدا کے ہاں کیا فضیلت رکھتا ہے؟ تب حضرت رسول خداؐ نے فرمایا :اس خدا کی قسم جس نے مجھے سچا نبیؐ بنایااور لوگوں کی نجات کی خاطر مجھے رسالت کے لئے چنا! اہلِ زمین کی محفلوں میں سے جس محفل میں ہماری یہ حدیث بیان کی جائے گی اور اس میں ہمارے شیعہ اوردوست دار جمع ہوں گے تو ان پر خدا کی رحمت نازل ہوگی فرشتے ان کو حلقے میں لے لیں گے اور جب تک وہ لوگ محفل سے رخصت نہ ہوں گے وہ ان کے لئے بخشش کی دعا کریں گے۔
فَقَالَ عَلِیٌّ اِذًا وَّاللہِ فُزْنَا وَفَازَ شِیْعَتُنَا وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَۃِ۔
فَقَالَ النَّبِیُّ ثَانِیًا یَاعَلِیُّ وَالَّذِیْ بَعَثَنِیْ بِالْحَقِّ نَبِیًّا وَّاصْطَفَانِیْ بِالرِّسَالَۃِ نَجِیًّا مَّا ذُكِرَ خَبَرُنَا ھٰذَا فِیْ مَحْفِلٍ مِّنْ مَحَافِلِ اَھْلِ الْاَرْضِ وَفِیْہِ جَمْعٌ مِّنْ شِیْعَتِنَا وَمُحِبِّیْنَا وَفِیْھِمْ مَھْمُوْمٌ اِلَّا وَفَرَّجَ اللہُ ھَمَّہٗ وَلَا مَغْمُوْمٌ اِلَّا وَكَشَفَ اللہُ غَمَّہٗ وَلَا طَالِبُ حَاجَۃٍ اِلَّا وَقَضَی اللہُ حَاجَتَہٗ۔
Faqaala 'aliyyun izan wallaahi fuznaa wafaaza shee'atunaa warabbi al-ka'bah.
Faqaala an-nabiyyu thaaniyan yaa 'aliyyu wallazee ba'athanee bil-haqqi nabiyyan wastafaanee bir-risaalati najiyyan maa zukira khabarunaa haazaa fee mahfilin min mahaafili ahli al-ardi wafeehi jam'un min shee'atinaa wamuhibbeenaa wafeehim mahmoomun illaa wafarraja allaahu hammahoo walaa maghmoomun illaa wakashafa allaahu ghammahoo walaa taalibu haajatin illaa waqadaa allaahu haajatah.
So Ali said: "In that case, We have attained success, and our Shias have attained success, by the Lord of the Ka’bah!" Then the Prophet replied a second time: "O Ali! I swear by Him who rightfully appointed me a Prophet and chose me with the Message as His confidant: this episode of ours will not be recounted in any gathering from the gatherings of the people of the earth where a group of our shias and lovers are present and there be a person present full of grief except that Allah will remove his grief! And no person in distress except that Allah will dispel his distress! And no seeker of any wish except that Allah grants his wish!
تو علیؑ بولے: خدا کی قسم!ہم کامیاب ہوگئے اور رب کعبہ کی قسم! ہمارے شیعہ بھی کامیاب ہوں گے تب حضرت رسولؐ نے دوبارہ فرمایا:اے علیؑ!اس خدا کی قسم!جس نے مجھے سچا نبی بنایا اور لوگوں کی نجات کی خاطر مجھے رسالت کے لئے چنا، اہلِ زمین کی محفلوں میں سے جس محفل میں ہماری یہ حدیث بیان کی جائے گی اور اس میں ہمارے شیعہ اور دوست دار جمع ہوں گے تو ان میں جو کوئی دکھی ہوگا خدا اس کا دکھ دور کر دے گا جو کوئی غم زدہ ہوگا، خدا اس کو غم سے چھٹکارا دے گا، جو کوئی حاجت مند ہوگا خدا اس کی حاجت پوری کرے گا۔
فَقَالَ عَلِیٌّ اِذًا وَّاللہِ فُزْنَا وَسُعِدْنَا وَكَذٰلِكَ شِیْعَتُنَا فَازُوْا وَسُعِدُوْا فِی الدُّنْیَا وَالْاٰخِرَۃِ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَۃِ۔
Faqaala 'aliyyun izan wallaahi fuznaa wasu'idnaa wakazaalika shee'atunaa faazoo wasu'idoo fee ad-dunyaa wal-aakhirati warabbi al-ka'bah.
So Ali stated: "In that case, by Allah! We have attained success and felicity, and our followers also have attained success and felicity, in this world and the hereafter, by the Lord of the Ka’bah!".
تب علیؑ کہنے لگے: بخدا! ہم نے کامیابی اور برکت پائی اور ربّ کعبہ کی قسم کہ اسی طرح ہمارے شیعہ بھی دنیا و آخرت میں کامیاب و سعادت مند ہوں گے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
After Hadees-e-Kisa recite Dua-e-Wasila.
حدیثِ کسَاء کے بعد دُعاء وسیلہ پڑھے۔
