Iftetahدُعاء افتتاح

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

O Allah I begin the “song of glorification” with Thy praise: Thou, from Thy bounties, gives out freely the truth and salvation; I know for certain that Thou art the Most Merciful in disposition of forgiveness and mercy, (but) very exacting at the time of giving exemplary punishment and chastisement to the wrongdoers, The omnipotent in the domain of absolute power and might.

اے معبود!تیری حمدکے ذریعے تیری تعریف کا آغاز کرتا ہوں اور تو اپنے احسان سے راہِ راست دکھانے والا ہے اور مجھے یقین ہے کہ تو معافی دینے مہربانی کرنے کے مقام پر سب سے بڑھ کر رحم و کرم کرنے والا ہے اور شکنجہ و عذاب کے موقع پر سب سے سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے اور بڑائی اور بزرگی کے مقام پر تو تمام قاہروں اور جابروں سے بڑھا ہوا ہے۔

O Allah Thou has given me permission to invoke Thee and beseech Thee, so listen, O the Hearer, to my words of praise, and give favorable reply to my supplication, and minimize my falling into misery, O the Oft-Forgiving. O my Allah many a trouble Thou had removed, many a sorrow Thou had dispelled, many a misery Thou had mitigated, and all times Thou spread out mercy and cut short the tightening circles of the misfortunes.

اے اﷲ!تو نے مجھے اجازت دے رکھی ہے کہ تجھ سے دعا و سوال کروں پس اے سننے والے اپنی یہ تعریف سن اور اے مہربان میری دعا قبول فرما اے بخشنے والے میری خطا معاف کرپس اے میرے معبود! کتنی ہی مصیبتوں کو تو نے دور کیا اور کتنے ہی اندیشوں کو ہٹایا اور خطاؤں سے در گزر کی رحمت کو عام کیا اور بلاؤں کے گھیرے کو توڑا اور رہائی دی۔

(All) praise be to Allah (alone) who has not taken unto Himself a wife or a son, and who has no partner in sovereignty, nor has He any protecting friend through dependence. Magnify Him with all magnificence. (All) praise be to Allah with full gratitude for all His bounties. (All) praise be to Allah who has no opposition in His rule, nor there is any challenge to His command. (All) praise be to Allah who has no counsel to meddle with his operation of creation, nor there is anything similar to Him in His greatness.

حمد اس اﷲکے لئے ہے جس نے نہ کسی کو اپنی زوجہ بنایا اور نہ کسی کواپنا بیٹا بنایا نہ ہی سلطنت میں اس کا کوئی شریک ہے اور نہ وہ عاجز ہے کہ کوئی اس کا سر پرست ہو اس کی بڑائی بیان کرو بہت بڑائی،حمد اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہے اس کی تمام خوبیوں اور اس کی ساری نعمتوں کے ساتھ حمد اس اﷲکے لئے ہے جس کی حکومت میں اس کا کوئی مخالف نہیں نہ اس کے حکم میں کوئی رکاوٹ ڈالنے والا ہے۔ حمد اس اﷲ کے لئے ہے جس کی تخلیق میں اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں اور نہ اس کی عظمت میں کوئی اس جیسا ہے۔

(All) praise be to Allah whose commandments are operating in the creation, whose glory is manifest through generosity, Who spreads out His hand with bounty, Whose treasuries do not diminish, and Whom abundant giving increases only in bounty and generosity. Verily He is Mighty, Generous. O Allah, I ask for some from much, in the midst of my very many needs for which I entirely depend on Thee, and Thou since eternity, art able to do without them, but for me it is much and for Thee it is very easy and simple.

حمد اس اﷲکے لئے ہے کہ جس کا حکم اور حمد خلق میں آشکار ہے اس کی شان اس کی بخشش کے ساتھ ظاہر ہے بن مانگے دینے میں اس کا ہاتھ کھلا ہے وہی ہے جس کے خزانے کم نہیں ہوتے اور کثرت کے ساتھ عطا کرنے سے اس کی بخشش اور سخاوت میں اضافہ ہوتا ہے کیوں کہ وہ زبردست عطا کرنے والا ہے اے معبود! میں سوال کرتا ہوں تجھ سے بہت میں سے تھوڑے کا جب کہ مجھے اس کی بہت زیادہ حاجت ہے اور تو ہمیشہ اس سے بے نیاز ہے وہ نعمت میرے لئے بہت بڑی ہے اور تیرے لئے اس کا دینا آسان ہے۔

O Allah, truly, when Thou pardons my sins, overlooks my mistakes; takes a lenient view of my disorderly conduct, covers up my foul actions, shows consideration in spite of my many transgressions committed willfully or negligently, I am tempted to ask for that which I don’t deserve, from Thee (who), through Thy mercy, gives me the daily bread; provides with that which is suitable for me, through Thy control; and distinguishes me with favorable reply to my requests.

اے معبود! بے شک تیرا میرے گناہ کو معاف کرنا میری خطا سے تیری در گزر میرے ستم سے تیری درگزر میرے برے عمل کی پردہ پوشی میرے بہت سے جرائم پر تیری برد باری ہے جب کہ ان میں سے بعض بھول کر اور بعض میں نے جان بوجھ کر کئے ہیں تب بھی اس سے مجھے طمع ہوئی کہ میں تجھ سے وہ مانگوں جس کا میں حق دار نہیں چنانچہ تو نے اپنی رحمت سے مجھے روزی دی اور اپنی قدرت کے کرشمے دکھائے قبولیت کی پہچان کرائی۔ پس اب میں با امن ہوکر تجھے پکارتا ہوں

So I persist in calling out, believing in Thee, and I invoke Thee, talking familiar, not afraid, nor shy, but assured of Thy love and kindness whenever I turn Thee. A temporary setback and I, out of ignorance, begin to despair, although perhaps slowing down may be a blessing in disguise, because Thou alone knows (all) the consequences. I do not know a generous Master who is more accommodating to the base servant than Thou art to me.

اور سوال کرتا ہوں الفت سے نہ ڈرتے اور گھبراتے ہوئے اور مجھے ناز ہے کہ اس بارے میں تیری بارگاہ میں آیا ہوں پس اگر تو نے قبولیت میں دیر کی تو میں نادانی کی وجہ سے تجھ سے شکوہ کروں گا اگر چہ وہ تاخیر کاموں کے نتائج سے متعلق تیرے علم میں میرے لئے بہتری کی حامل ہو پس میں نے تیرے سوا کوئی مولا نہیں دیکھا جو میرے جیسے پست بندے پر مہربان و صابر ہو۔

O Lord! Thou gives an invitation but I turn down, Thou becomes familiar with me but I do not care for Thee, Thou loves me but I do not correspond to Thee as if I had a favour over Thee, yet Thou does not abstain from bestowing favors and blessings on me from Thy mercy. So have mercy on Thy ignorant servant and bestow upon him through Thy bounty and favour, Verily Thou art Generous and Kind.

اے پروردگار! تو مجھے پکارتا ہے تو میں تجھ سے منہ موڑتا ہوں تو مجھ سے محبت کرتا ہے میں تجھ سے خفا ہوتا ہوں تو میرے ساتھ الفت کرتا ہے میں بے رخی کرتا ہوں جیسے کہ میرا تجھ پر کوئی احسان رہا ہو تو بھی میرا یہ طرزِ عمل تجھے مجھ پر رحمت فرمانے اور مجھ پر اپنی عطا و بخشش کے ساتھ فضل و احسان کرنے سے باز نہیں رکھتا پس اپنے اس نادان بندے پر رحم کر اور اس پر اپنے فضل و احسان سے سخاوت فرما بے شک تو بہت دینے والا سخی ہے۔

Praise be to Allah the owner of the sovereignty, who sets the course of skies and the stars, controls the winds, causes the daybreak, and administers the authority, the Lord of the worlds. Praise be to Allah for His indulgence in the wake of His all awareness. Praise be to Allah for His amnesty ensuing from His omnipotence. Praise be to Allah for the respite He allows in spite of provocation. He is able to do what He wills.

حمد ہے اس اللہ کے لئے جو سلطنت کا مالک کشتی کو رواں کرنے والا ہواؤں کو قابو رکھنے والا صبح کو روشن کرنے والا اورقیامت میں جزا دینے والا جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے حمد ہے اللہ کی کہ جانتے ہوئے بھی بردباری سے کام لیتا ہے اورحمد ہے اس اللہ کی جو قوت کے باوجود معاف کرتا ہے اور حمد ہے اس اللہ کی جو حالتِ غضب میں بھی بڑا بردبار ہے اور وہ جو چاہے اسے کرگزرنے کی طاقت رکھتا ہے۔

Praise be to Allah, the Creator of all the created beings, who makes the sustenance freely available, starts the day, the Owner of the glory, might, favors and bounties, who is far away, unseeable; nearest, so near that fully aware of the whispering secrets, the Blessed the Praised. Praise be to Allah who has no equal to challenge Him, nor there is an image comparable to Him, nor a helper to assist Him. He tames the powerful by (His) force, and disgraced are the terrible before His Greatness, so He, through His power, fulfills that which He wills.

حمد ہے اس اللہ کی جو مخلوق کو پیدا کرنے والا روزی کشادہ کرنے والا صبح کو روشنی بخشنے والا صاحبِ جلالت و کرم اور فضل و نعمت کا مالک ہے جو ایسا دور ہے کہ نظر نہیں آتا اور اتنا قریب ہے کہ سرگوشی کو بھی جانتا ہے وہ مبارک اور برتر ہے حمد ہے اس اﷲ کی جس کا ہمسر نہیں جو اس سے جھگڑا کرے نہ کوئی اس جیسا ہے کہ اس کاہم شکل ہو نہ کوئی اس کا مددگار و ہم کار ہے وہ اپنی عزّت میں سب عزّت والوں پر غالب ہے اور سبھی عظمت والے اس کی عظمت کے آگے جھکتے ہیں وہ جو چاہے اس پر قادر ہے۔

Praise be to Allah who gives answer to me whenever I call Him; covers up my shortcomings yet I disobey Him; gives me the largest part of the bounties yet I do not repay Him. Many a favorable favours He had sanctioned; many a terrible dangers He had turned off, and many a blossoming joys He had made available for me, therefore, I sing His praises and recite His glorifications. Praise be to Allah! None can disclose anything hidden by Him; none can shut the doors kept open by Him; no one who makes a request is sent away disappointed by Him; and no one who looks long and attentively is deluded in His hopes.

حمد ہے اللہ کی جسے پکارتا ہوں تو وہ جواب دیتا ہے اور میری برائی کی پردہ پوشی کرتا ہے میں اس کی نافرمانی کرتا ہوں تو بھی مجھے بڑی بڑی نعمتیں دیتا ہے کہ جن کا بدلہ میں اسے نہیں دیتا پس اس نے مجھ پر کتنی ہی خوش گوار عنایتیں اوربخششیں کی ہیں کتنی ہی خطرناک آفتوں سے مجھے بچالیا ہے کئی حیرت انگیز خوشیاں مجھے دکھائی ہیں پس ان پر اس کی حمد و ثنا کرتا ہوں اور لگاتار اس کا نام لیتا ہوں حمد ہے اللہ کی جس کا پردہ ہٹایا نہیں جاسکتا اس کا درِ رحمت بند نہیں ہوتا اس کا سائل خالی نہیں جاتا اور اس کا امیدوار مایوس نہیں ہوتا۔

Praise be to Allah who gives protection to the frightened, comes to the help of the upright, promotes the cause of the weak and the enslaved, annihilates the autocrats, destroys the rulers and appoints the “awaited saviors” in their place. Praise be to Allah who breaks everything belonging to the oppressors, puts an end to the tyrants, watches over the fugitives, brings assistance to those who cry out for help, meets and clears up the demands of the needy beseechers, supports the faithfuls.

حمد ہے اللہ کی جو ڈرنے والوں کو پناہ دیتا ہے نیکوکاروں کو نجات دیتا ہے لوگوں کے دبائے ہوؤں کو ابھارتا ہے بڑا بننے والوں کو نیچا دکھاتا ہے بادشاہوں کو تباہ کرتا اور ان کی جگہ دوسروں کو لے آتا ہے۔ حمد ہے اللہ کی کہ وہ جابروں کی کمر توڑنے والا ظالموں کو برباد کرنے والا فریادیوں کی فریاد کو پہنچنے والا اور بے انصافوں کو سزا دینے والا ہے وہ فریادخواہوں کا فریادرس حاجات طلب کرنے والوں کا ٹھکانہ اور مومنوں کا مرکزِ اعتماد ہے۔

Praise be to Allah! In His awe-inspiring fear the heavens and its dwellers tremble and shiver, the earth and its inhabitants shake and quiver, the oceans and all that which float and swim in its waters flow together in excitement and tumult. Praise be to Allah who has guided us to this. We could not truly have been led aright if Allah had not guided us. Praise be to Allah who creates but is not created; gives subsistence but need no provisions; gives food to eat but takes no nourishment, makes the living dead and brings the dead to life, and He is the Ever-living, there is no death for Him, in His hands is all the good, and He is able to do all things.

حمد ہے اس اللہ کی جس کے خوف سے آسمان اور آسمان والے لرزتے ہیں زمین اور اس کے آبادکار دہل جاتے ہیں سمندر لرزتے ہیں اور وہ جو ان کے پانیوں میں تیرتے ہیں حمد ہے اللہ کی جس نے ہمیں یہ راہِ ہدایت دکھائی اور ہم ہرگز ہدایت نہ پاسکتے اگر اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں ہدایت نہ فرماتا حمد ہے اس اللہ کی جو خلق کرتا ہے اور وہ مخلوق نہیں وہ رزق دیتا ہے اور وہ مرزوق نہیں وہ کھانا کھلاتا ہے اور کھاتا نہیں وہ زندوں کو مارتاہے اور مردوں کو زندہ کرتا ہے وہ ایسا زندہ ہے جسے موت نہیں بھلائی اسی کے ہاتھ میں ہےاور وہ ہرچیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

O Allah send blessings on Muhammad, Thy servant, Messenger, confidant, friend, beloved, intimate, mercy unto all the created beings, bearers of Thy sacraments, conveyor of Thy messages, the superior most, the exquisite, the handsomer, the most perfect, the upright, the more prospering, the more pleasant, the thoroughly purified, the sublime; more and better blessings, advantages, mercies, affections and salutations than Thou made available to anyone of Thy servants, Prophets, Messengers, friends and those honored by Thee from among Thy created beings.

اے معبود!حضرت محمدؐ پراپنی رحمت نازل فرما جو تیرے بندے تیرے رسولؐ تیرے امانت دار تیرے برگزیدہ تیرے حبیب اور تیری مخلوق میں سے تیرے پسندیدہ ہیں تیرے راز کے پاسدار ہیں اور تیرے پیغاموں کے پہنچانے والے ہیں ان پر رحمت کر بہترین نیکوترین زیباترین کامل ترین بلندترین پاکیزہ ترین شفاف ترین روشن ترین اور تو نے جو بہت رحمت کی برکت دی نوازش کی مہربانی کی اور درود بھیجاکسی ایک پر اپنے بندوں میں اپنے نبیوں اپنے رسولوں اور اپنے برگزیدوں میں سے کسی ایک پر اور جو تیرے ہاں بزرگی والے ہیں تیری مخلوق میں سے۔

O Allah send blessings on Ali, the Chief of the faithfuls, the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds, Thy servant, Thy beloved representative, brother of Thy Messenger, and Thy decisive argument over the mankind, Thy most important sign, the great news from Thee; O Allah send blessings on the truthful pure Fatimah, the chosen leader from the women of the worlds; O Allah send blessings on the sons of “the mercy unto the worlds” leader guides, Imams Hasan and Husain (a.s), the Chiefs of the youth of the dwellers of Paradise.

اے معبود! امیرالمومنین علیؑ پر رحمت فرما جو جہانوں کے پروردگار کے رسولؐ کے وصی ہیں تیرے بندے تیرے ولی تیرے رسولؐ کے بھائی تیری مخلوق پر تیری حجت تیری بہت بڑی نشانی اور بہت بڑی خبر ہیں اور صدیقۂ طاہرہ فاطمہؑ پر رحمت فرما جو تمام جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار ہیں اور نبیؐ رحمت کے دو نواسوں اور ہدایت والے دو ائمہؑ حسنؑ و حسینؑ پر رحمت فرما جو جنت کے جوانوں کے سید و سردار ہیں۔

O Allah send blessings on the leaders of the Muslims, Ali bin Husain, Muhammad bin Ali, Ja’far bin Muhammad, Moosa bin Ja’far, Ali bin Moosa, Muhammad bin Ali, Ali bin Muhammad, Hasan bin Ali, and his son, the rightly-guided Guide, thy decisive argument over Thy servants, Thy trustworthy confidant in Thy earth; blessings, numerous and forever.

اور مسلمانوں کے ائمہؑ پر رحمت فرما کہ وہ علی زین العابدینؑ محمد الباقرؑ جعفر الصادقؑ موسیٰٰ الکاظمؑ علی الرضاؑ محمد تقی الجوادؑ علی نقیؑ الہادیؑ حسن العسکریؑ اور خلف ہادی المہدیؑ ہیں جو تیرے بندوں پر تیری حجتیں اور تیرے شہروںمیں تیرے امین ہیں ان پر رحمت فرما بہت بہت ہمیشہ ہمیشہ۔

O Allah send blessings on the custodian of Thy commandments, The vigilant guardian, the reliable patron, the awaited justice, surrounded by Thy favorite Angels, assisted by the Holy spirit, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah send him to call the people unto Thy Book for establishing Thy religion and make him succeed in the world as Thou caused those who were before him to succeed, and establish for him his faith which Thou has approved for him and give him in exchange safety after the fear. He serves Thee. He ascribes nothing as partner unto Thee.

اے معبود! اپنے ولیِ امر پر رحمت فرما کہ جو قائم، امیدگاہ عادل اور منتظر ہے اس کے گرد اپنے مقرب فرشتوں کا گھیرا لگادے اور روح القدس کے ذریعے اس کی تائید فرما اے جہانوں کے پروردگار اے معبود! اسے اپنی کتاب کی طرف دعوت دینے والا اور اپنے دین کے لئے قائم قرار دے اسے زمین میں اپنا خلیفہ بنا جیسے ان کو خلیفہ بنایا جو اس سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں اپنے پسندیدہ دین کو اس کے لئے پائیدار بنادے اس کے خوف کے بعد اسے امن دے کہ وہ تیرا عبادت گزار ہے کسی کو تیرا شریک نہیں بناتا۔

O Allah give him power and authority, and through him strengthen the people, give him the necessary assistance, and through him support the people, and make him prevail over all- a final decisive victory, and delegate him Thy controlling authority. O Allah give currency to Thy religion and the way of life of Thy Prophet through him till nothing which is just and genuine is kept concealed for fear of anyone of the human beings.

اے معبود! اسے معزز فرما اور اس کے ذریعے مجھے عزّت دینے میں اس کی مددکراوراس کے ذریعے میری مدد فرما اسے باعزت مدد دے اور اسے آسانی کے ساتھ فتح دے اور اسے اپنی طرف سے قوت والا مددگار عطا فرما اے معبود! اس کے ذریعے اپنے دین اور اپنے نبیؐ کی سنت کو ظاہر فرما یہاں تک کہ حق میں سے کوئی چیز مخلوق کے خوف سے مخفی و پوشیدہ نہ رہ جائے۔

O Allah we ardently desire that in (his) kind, just and fair period, Thou should reactivate Islam and stimulate its followers, and humble and humiliate the imposters and their double dealing shams, and include us among those who invite people unto Thy obedience and lead them to Thy approved path, and give us the good of this world and the world to come. O Allah let us bear out and hold up that which Thou makes known to us as the truth and let us be fully aware of that which we fall short of doing.

اے معبود! ہم ایسی برکت والی حکومت کی خاطر تیری طرف رغبت رکھتے ہیں جس سے تو اسلام و اہلِ اسلام کو قوت دے اور نفاق و اہلِ نفاق کو ذلیل کرے اور اس حکومت میں ہمیں اپنی اطاعت کی طرف بلانے والے اور اپنے راستے کی طرف رہنمائی کرنے والے قرار دے اور اس کے ذریعے ہمیں دنیا و آخرت کی عزّت دے اے معبود! جس حق کی تو نے ہمیں معرفت کرائی اس کے تحمل کی توفیق دے اور جس سے ہم قاصر رہے اس تک پہنچادے۔

O Allah through him set in order our disorder; gather and unite our flock; stitch together our ripped open separation; turn our want and poverty into enough, lift us from our degradation; free us from our misery, pull us out from our debts, help us to get out from the ditch of cares and sorrows; fill the gap created by confusion among us; let our difficulties be easy to deal with; refine our substance and style, untie our ropes and straps; let our efforts succeed well and secure success; make us fulfill our promises; give answer to our prayers; listen to our requests; cause us to obtain the good of this world and the hereafter.

اے معبود! اس کے ذریعے ہم بکھروں کو جمع کردے اس کے ذریعے ہمارے جھگڑے ختم کر اور ہماری پریشانی دور فرما اس کے ذریعے ہماری قلت کوکثرت اور ذلت کو عزّت میں بدل دے اس کے ذریعے ہمیں نادار سے مال داربنا اور ہمارے قرض ادا کر دے اس کے ذریعے ہمارا فقر دور فرما دے ہماری حاجتیں پوری کر دے اور تنگی کو آسانی میں بدل دے اس کے ذریعے ہمارے چہرے روشن کر اور ہمارے قیدیوں کو رہائی دے اس کے ذریعے ہماری حاجات بر لا اور ہمارے وعدے نبھا دے اس کے ذریعے ہماری دعائیں قبول فرما اور ہمارے سوال پورے کر دے اس کے ذریعے دنیا و آخرت میں ہماری امیدیں پوری فرما۔

Give us much and more than our expectations O the Best of givers and bestowers; and cleanse our hearts, unburden our emotions from hate and anger, and in the event of dispute in the matter of truth show us the right path, verily Thou guides whosoever Thou wills to the Right Path. Let us, through him, get better of Thy enemies and our opponents, O the True God. Be it so!

اور ہمیں ہماری درخواست سے زیادہ عطا کر اے سوال کئے جانے والوں میں بہترین۔اور اے سب سےزیادہ عطا کرنے والے اس کے ذریعے ہمارے سینوں کو شفا دے اور ہمارے دلوں سے بغض و کینہ مٹا دے جس حق میں ہمارا اختلاف ہے اپنے حکم سے اس کے ذریعے ہمیں ہدایت فرما بے شک تو جسے چاہے سیدھے راستے کی طرف لے جاتا ہے اس کے ذریعے اپنے اور ہمارے دشمن پر ہمیں غلبہ عطا فرما اے سچے خدا ایسا ہی ہو۔

O Allah we feel uneasy about and are disturbed over the departure of our Prophet (Thy blessings be on him and on his children), absence of our guardian friend, too many enemies, our numerical scarcity, widespread disorder, and vicissitude of time, so send blessings on Muhammad and on his children and help us to overcome this state of affairs, with a victory from Thee that Thou hastenest, a harm that Thou removest, a help that Thou makest mighty, an authority of truth that Thou makest manifest, a mercy from Thee with which Thou coverest us, and well-being from Thee with which Thou clothest us, through Thy mercy, O the Most Merciful.

اے معبود! ہم شکایت کرتے ہیں تجھ سے اپنے نبیؐ کے اٹھ جانے کی کہ ان پر اور ان کی آلؑ پر تیری رحمت ہو اور اپنے ولی کی پوشیدگی کی اور شاکی ہیں دشمنوں کی کثرت اور اپنی قلتِ تعداد اور فتنوں کی سختی کی اور حوادثِ زمانہ کی یلغار کی شکایت کرتے ہیں پس محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر رحمت فرما اور ہماری مدد فرما ان پر فتح کے ساتھ اور اس میں جلدی کر کے تکلیف دور کردے نصرت سے عزّت عطا کر حق کے غلبے کا اظہار فرما ایسی رحمت فرما جو ہم پرسایہ کرے اور امن عطا کر جو ہمیں محفوظ بنا دے رحمت فرما اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
