روایت نقل ہوئی ہے : ستارہ ’’سہیٰ ‘‘ جو بنات النعش کے درمیانی ستارے کے ساتھ ہوتا ہے اس کی طرف خوب غور سے دیکھے اور تین مرتبہ یہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ اَسْلَمَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ وَ سَلِّمْنَا مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ذِىْ شَرٍّ۔
Allaahumma rabba aslama salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin wa'ajjil farajahum wa sallimnaa min sharri kulli zee sharr.
O Allah, Lord of Aslam, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and hasten their relief, and keep us safe from the evil of every evil one.
اے معبود!اے بہت سلامتی والے رب رحمت فرما سرکار محمدؐ اور آلؑ محمدؐ پر ان کی کشائش وآسائش میں جلدی کر اور ہمیں ہر تکلیف دینے والے کے شر سے بچا۔

نیز روایت نقل ہوئی ہے : مذکورہ ستارے پر نظر ڈالے اور ۳ مرتبہ کہے۔ لہٰذا جس رات بھی یہ عمل کرے گا اس میں سانپ بچھو کے ڈسنے سے محفوظ رہے گا۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هُوْدِ ابْنِ اُسَيَّةَ آمِنِّىْ شَرَّ كُلِّ عَقْرَبٍ وَحَيَّةٍ۔
Allaahumma rabba hoodi ibni usayyata aaminnee sharra kulli 'aqrabin wahayyah.
O Allah, Lord of Hud son of Usayya, secure me from the evil of every scorpion and serpent.
اے معبود! اے ہودؑ بن آسیہ کے پروردگار مجھے امان میں رکھ ہر بچھو اور سانپ کے شر سے۔

امام جعفر صادقؑ سے مروی ہے : رات کے شروع ہونے کے وقت یہ پڑھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَبِاللهِ وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ اَخَذْتُ الْعَقَارِبَ وَالْحَيَّاتِ كُلَّهَا بِاِذْنِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالٰى بِاَفْوَاهِهَا وَاَذْنَابِهَا وَاَسْمَاعِهَا وَاَبْصَارِهَا وَقُوَاهَا عَنِّىْ وَعَمَّنْ اَحْبَبْتُ اِلٰى ضَحْوَةِ النَّهَارِ اِنْ شآءَ اللهُ تَعَالٰى۔
Bismi allaahi wabillaahi wasallaa allaahu 'alaa muhammadin wa-aalihee akhaztu al-'aqaariba wal-hayyaati kullahaa bi-izni allaahi tabaaraka wata'aalaa bi-afwaahihaa wa-aznaabihaa wa-asmaa'ihaa wa-absaarihaa waquwaahaa 'annee wa'amman ahbabtu ilaa dahwati an-nahaari in shaa'a allaahu ta'aalaa.
In the Name of Allah and by Allah, and may Allah bless Muhammad and his Household. I have seized all the scorpions and serpents, by the permission of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, by their mouths, their tails, their hearing, their sight and their powers, (keeping them) away from me and from those whom I love until the forenoon of the day, if Allah the Exalted wills.
خدا کے نام سے اور اس کی ذات سے اور خدا رحمت فرمائے محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر پکڑ لیا میں نے تمام بچھوؤں اور سانپوں کو خدا کے اذن سے جو بابرکت اور بلندی والا ہے ان کے منہوں سے ان کی دموں سے ان کے کانوں سے ان کی آنکھوں سے اور ان کی قوتوں کو خود سے اور ان سے جن کو پیارا سمجھتاہوں دن کے طلوع ہونے تک اگر اللہ تعالیٰ یہ چاہے۔

Salaamun 'alaa noohin fee al-'aalameen
Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations.
ساری خدائی میں نوحؑ پر ہمارا سلام۔
اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ
Innaa kazaalika najzee al-muhsineen
Thus do We surely reward the doers of good.
ہم اسی طرح نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو جزا دیتے ہیں۔
اِنَّهٗ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Innahoo min 'ibaadinaa al-mu'mineen
Surely he was of Our believing servants.
وہ ہمارے ایماندار بندوں میں سے تھے۔

روایت نقل ہوئی ہے : جب حضرت نوحؑ کشتی میں سوار ہوئے تو انہوں نے بچھو کو کشتی میں سوار ہونے سے روک دیا تو بچھو نے کہا: میں آپ سے وعدہ کرتا ہوں کہ جوشخص یہ کہے گا میں اسے کبھی نہ ڈسوں گا۔۔۔
سَلَامٌ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى نُوْحٍ فِى الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔

سلام ہو حضرت محمد مصطفیٰؐ پر اور ان کی آلؑ پر اور حضرت نوحؑ پر تمام جہانوں میں۔
