Dua-e-Mazloom
دُعاء مظلم
A dua for someone who has been wronged, kept with the ziyarat of Imam Husain (a) — which is where the Shia tradition sends the oppressed.
The reciter tells Allah plainly what has happened: that their dignity comes from following His religion and their honour from His guidance, but that another humiliates them by his evil, harms them, imputes dishonour to them for their loyalty to His Representatives, and charges them with false claims — and that they have come to “the centre of supplication and the guarantee of response”. It then turns to the Imam himself: “O my master and leader, I have been oppressed and I seek your support against him who has oppressed me. Grant me support! Grant me support!” It closes with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَعْتَزُّ بِدِیْنِكَ وَاَكْرُمُ بِهِدَایَتِكَ وَفُلَانٌ یُذِلُّنِیْ بِشَرِّهٖ وَیُهِیْنُنِیْ بِاَذِیَّتِهٖ وَیُعِیْبُنِیْ بِوِلَآءِ اَوْلِیَآئِكَ وَیَبْهَتُنِیْ بِدَعْوَاهُ وَقَدْ جِئْتُ اِلٰی مَوْضِعِ الدُّعَآءِ وَضِمَانِكَ الْاِجَابَۃَ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَعْدِنِیْ عَلَیْهِ السَّاعَۃَ السَّاعَۃَ۔
Allaahumma innee a-a’-tazzo be deeneka wa akromo be hedaayateka wa folaanun yozillonee be sharrehi wa yoheenunee be-aziyyatehi wa yo-e’ebonee be welaaaa-e awleyaaa-eka wa yabhatonee beda’-waaho wa qad jea-to elaa mawze-i’d do-a’aa-e wa zemaanekal ejaabata allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa aa’-denee a’layhis saa-a’tas saa-a’ta.
O Allah, I obtain my dignity from following Your religion and I am honored because of You have guided me, but [so-and-so] is humiliating me by his evil, insulting me by harming me, imputing dishonor to me because I am loyal to Your Representatives, and charging me with false claims. I have come to the center of supplication and the guarantee of response. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and support me against him at this very hour! At this very hour!
اے معبود! مجھے تیرے دین کے ذریعے عزّت ملی اور اس روضہ سے شرف ملا لیکن فلاں نے اپنی بدی سے مجھے ذلیل و خوار کیااپنی اذیت سے مجھے رسوا کیاتیرے اولیاء کی ولایت کے باعث مجھے معیوب کیا اور ناروا باتوں سے مجھے مبہوت وحیران کر دیا ہے اب میں دعا مانگنے اس جگہ آیاہوں جہاں پر قبول کرنے کی تو نے ضمانت دی ہے اے معبود! محمدؐو آل محمدؑ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور مجھے اس ظالم پر غلبہ دے ابھی اسی وقت۔
مَوْلَایَ اِمَامِیْ مَظْلُوْمٌ اسْتَعْدٰی عَلٰی ظَالِمِهِ النَّصْرَ النَّصْرَ۔
Mawlaaya emaamee mazloomun nis-ta’-daa a’laa zaalemehin nasran nasra.
O my master and leader, (I have been) oppressed and (I am) seeking your support against him who has oppressed me. Grant me support! Grant me support!
میرا مولا و امامؑ ہے جس پر ظلم ہوا میں ان پر ظلم کرنے والے کی شکایت کرتا ہوں مدد فرما مدد فرما!
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
یَا اَبَا عَبْدِ اللہِ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ تَشْهَدُ مَقَامِیْ وَتَسْمَعُ كَلَامِیْ وَاَنَّكَ حَیٌّ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ تُرْزَقُ فَاسْئَلْ رَبَّكَ وَرَبِّیْ فِیْ قَضَآءِ حَوَآئِجِیْ۔
Yaa abaa-a’bdil laahe ash-hado annaka tash-hado maqaamee wa tasma-o’ kalaamee wa annaka hayyun i’nda rabbeka turzaqo fas-al rabbaka wa rabbee fee qazaaa-e hawaaa-ejee.
O Abu Abdullah, I bear witness that you can now see my situation and hear my words and that you are alive with Your Lord and you are receiving sustenance from Him. So (please) ask your and my Lord to grant me my requests.
اے ابو عبداللہؑ! میں گواہ ہوں کہ آپ میرے کھڑے ہونے کی جگہ کو دیکھ رہے ہیں اورمیری بات سن رہے ہیں آپ اپنے رب کے ہاں زندہ ہیں رزق پاتے ہیں پس اپنے اور میرے رب سے میری حاجات پوری ہونے کی دعا کریں۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ۔
Alhamdo lillaahe, wa laa elaaha illal laaho, suhbaanal laahe.
All praise be to Allah. There is no god save Allah. All glory be to Allah.
اور حمد ہے خدا کے لئے نہیں کوئی معبود سوائے خدا کے اور خدا پاک وپاکیزہ ہے۔
اَسْتَخِیْرُ اللہَ بِرَحْمَتِہٖ خِیَرَۃً فِیْ عَافِیَۃٍ۔
Astakheerul laaha be rahmatehi kheyaratan fee a’afeyah.
I ask Allah to guide me to decide on the best choice that achieves me wellbeing, out of His mercy.
خدا سے بہتری کا طالب ہوں اس کی رحمت سے وہ بہتری جس میں آسائش ہو۔
