Allaahumma Antal Azeezul
اَللّٰهُمَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ
A short supplication built almost entirely of Allah’s attributes, named one after another: the Mighty, the All-Wise; the All-Forgiving, the Merciful; the Sublime and the Supreme; the Living, the Wise.
Between them it offers praise and thanks in a particular form — praise that lasts and does not diminish, thanks that lasts and does not diminish — which is what distinguishes it from the ordinary opening of a dua: the praise is asked to be permanent, not merely present.
It closes with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ وَاَنْتَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ وَاَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا يَبْقٰى وَلَا يَفْنٰى وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ شُكْرًا يَبْقٰى وَلَا يَفْنٰى وَاَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْحَلِيْمُ (الْحَكِيْمُ) الْعَلِيْمُ اَسْئَلُكَ بِنُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَبِجَلَالِكَ الَّذِيْ لَا يُرَامُ وَبِعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا تُقْهَرُ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
Allaahumma antal a’zee-zul hakeemo wa antal ghafoo-rur raheemo wa antal a’liyyul a’zeemo lakal hamdo hamdan yabqaa wa laa yafnaa wa la-kash shukro shukran yabqaa wa laa yafnaa wa antal hayyul haleemul (al-hakeemul) a’leemo as-aloka be-noore wajhe-kal kareeme wa be-jalaale-kal lazee laa yoraa-mo wa be-i’zzate-kal latee laa tuq-haro an to-salle-ya a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin wa an tagh-fir-lee wa tar-hama-nee inna-ka anta ar-hamar raahe-meena.
O my God! You are Exalted in Might, All-Wise! And You are All-Forgiving, Merciful! And You are the Sublime, the Supreme! A Praise belongs to You. Praise that is lasting and does not diminish. Thanks belongs to You. Thanks that is lasting and does not diminish. And You are the Living, the Wise, the All-Knowing! I ask You by the Light of Your Face the Benevolent. By Your Might that does not collapse! By Your Might that cannot be subdued. I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad (s.a.w.a) and his Progeny (a.s); to forgive me and have Mercy on me verily You are the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate!
اے اللہ! تو ہی عزت والا، حکمت والا ہے، اور تو ہی بہت بخشنے والا، نہایت مہربان ہے، اور تو ہی بلند مرتبہ اور عظمت والا ہے۔ تیری ہی حمد ہے ایسی حمد جو باقی رہنے والی ہے اور کبھی فنا نہیں ہوتی، اور تیرا ہی شکر ہے ایسا شکر جو باقی رہنے والا ہے اور کبھی ختم نہیں ہوتا۔ اور تو ہی زندہ رہنے والا، حلم (بردباری) والا، (حکمت والا) اور سب کچھ جاننے والا ہے۔ میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں تیرے کریم چہرے کے نور کے وسیلے سے، اور تیرے اس جلال کے وسیلے سے جس تک کوئی رسائی نہیں کر سکتا، اور تیری اس طاقت اور عزت کے وسیلے سے جس پر کوئی غالب نہیں آ سکتا، کہ تو محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما، اور مجھے بخش دے اور مجھ پر رحم فرما، بے شک تو ہی سب سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔ اگر چاہیں تو میں آسان الفاظ میں ترجمہ یا تفسیر/توضیح بھی دے سکتا ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
