بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تُؤَدِّبْنِيْ بِعُقُوْبَتِكَ وَلَا تَمْكُرْ بِيْ فِيْ حِيْلَتِكَ مِنْ اَيْنَ لِيَ الْخَيْرُ وَلَا يُوْجَدُ اِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَمِنْ اَيْنَ لِيَ النَّجَاةُ وَلَا تُسْتَطَاعُ اِلَّا بِكَ لَا الَّذِيْ اَحْسَنَ اسْتَغْنٰى عَنْكَ وَلَا الَّذِيْ اَسَآءَ وَاجْتَرَاَ عَلَيْكَ خَرَجَ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ يَا رَبِّ بِكَ عَرَفْتُكَ وَاَنْتَ دَلَلْتَنِيْ عَلَيْكَ وَلَوْ لَا اَنْتَ مَا دَرَيْتُ مَنْ اَنْتَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ اَدْعُوْهُ فِيُجِيْبُنِيْ وَاِنْ كُنْتُ بَطِيْئًا حِيْنَ يَدْعُوْنِيْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ اَسْئَلُهٗ فَيُعْطِيْنِيْ وَاِنْ كُنْتُ بَخِيْلًا حِيْنَ يَسْتَقْرِضُنِيْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ وَكَلَنِيْ اِلَيْهِ فَاَكْرَمَنِيْ وَلَمْ يَكِلْنِيْ اِلَى النَّاسِ فَيُهِيْنُوْنِيْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ تَحَبَّبَ اِلَيَّ وَهُوَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّيْ۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا اَجِدُ شَافِعًا اِلَيْكَ اِلَّا مَعْرِفَتِيْ بِاَنَّكَ اَفْضَلُ مَنْ قَصَدَ اِلَيْهِ الْمُضْطَرُّوْنَ اَسْئَلُكَ مُقِرًّا بِاَنَّ لَكَ الطَّوْلَ وَالْقُوَّةَ وَالْحَوْلَ وَالْقُدْرَةَ اَنْ تَحُطَّ عَنِّيْ وِزْرِيَ الَّذِيْ قَدْ حَنَا ظَهْرِيْ وَتَعْصِمَنِيْ مِنَ الْهَوَى الْمُسَلَّطِ عَلٰى عَقْلِيْ وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِيْ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ انْتَجَبْتَهُمْ لِطَاعَتِكَ۔
Allaahumma laa tu'addibnee bi'uqoobatika walaa tamkur bee fee heelatika min ayna liya al-khayru walaa yoojadu illaa min 'indika wamin ayna liya an-najaatu walaa tustataa'u illaa bika laa allazee ahsana istaghnaa 'anka walaa allazee asaa'a wajtara'a 'alayka kharaja min qudratika yaa rabbi bika 'araftuka wa-anta dalaltanee 'alayka walaw laa anta maa daraytu man anta al-hamdu lillaahi allazee ad'oohu fiyujeebunee wa-in kuntu batee'an heena yad'oonee wal-hamdu lillaahi allazee as'aluhoo fayu'teenee wa-in kuntu bakheelan heena yastaqridunee wal-hamdu lillaahi allazee wakalanee ilayhi fa-akramanee walam yakilnee ilaa an-naasi fayuheenoonee wal-hamdu lillaahi allazee tahabbaba ilayya wahuwa ghaniyyun 'annee.
Allaahumma laa ajidu shaafi'an ilayka illaa ma'rifatee bi-annaka afdalu man qasada ilayhi al-mudtarroona as'aluka muqirran bi-anna laka at-tawla wal-quwwata wal-hawla wal-qudrata an tahutta 'annee wizriya allazee qad hanaa zahree wata'simanee mina al-hawaa al-musallati 'alaa 'aqlee wa-an taj'alanee mina allazeena intajabtahum litaa'atik.
O my God! Please do not discipline me with Your Punishment. Do not subject me to Your Planned Strategy. Where can I obtain bounties while none can be found except with You? And how can I seek salvation while it can be granted by none but You? Neither can good-doers do without You, nor can evil-doers depart from the realm of Your Power! I know You by You, and You directed me to You and without You I would not have known what You are. Praise be to God who answers me whenever I call Him, even though I am sluggish when He calls upon me. And praise be to God who grants me whatever I ask for even though I am stingy when He asks me for a loan. And praise be to God Who honored me by taking charge of my affairs, instead of leaving my affairs to others who may humiliate me. And praise be to God Who endeared me although He is needless of me. O my God! I find no one to intercede with You on my behalf except for my knowledge that You are the best to whom the distressed ones go to. I ask You while I am confessing to the fact that You are the Lord of Bestowals and Strength, Might and Power. I ask You to lift the heavy burden of sins that has bent my back, protect me from lust that is overpowering my intellect, and let me be amongst those that You have chosen for Your Obedience.
اے اللہ! مجھے اپنی سزا کے ذریعے تربیت نہ دینا، اور اپنی کسی چال (تدبیر) میں مجھے نہ پکڑ لینا۔ مجھے بھلائی کہاں سے مل سکتی ہے جبکہ وہ تیرے سوا کسی کے پاس نہیں؟ اور مجھے نجات کہاں سے مل سکتی ہے جبکہ وہ تیرے بغیر ممکن ہی نہیں؟ نہ وہ شخص جو نیک ہے وہ تجھ سے بے نیاز ہو سکتا ہے، اور نہ وہ شخص جو برائی کرتا ہے اور تیری نافرمانی میں جری ہو جاتا ہے وہ تیری قدرت سے باہر نکل سکتا ہے۔ اے میرے رب! میں نے تیرے ذریعے ہی تجھے پہچانا ہے، اور تو ہی وہ ہے جس نے مجھے اپنی طرف رہنمائی کی۔ اگر تو نہ ہوتا تو میں کبھی نہ جان سکتا کہ تو کون ہے۔ تمام تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے وہ جسے میں پکاروں تو وہ میری دعا قبول کرتا ہے، اگرچہ میں خود دیر کرتا ہوں جب وہ مجھے پکارتا ہے۔ تمام تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے وہ جس سے میں مانگتا ہوں تو وہ مجھے عطا کرتا ہے، اگرچہ جب وہ مجھ سے قرض چاہتا ہے (صدقہ چاہتا ہے) تو میں بخیلی کرتا ہوں۔ تمام تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے جس نے مجھے اپنے حوالے کیا، مجھے اپنی طرف متوجہ کیا اور مجھے عزت دی، اور مجھے لوگوں کے حوالے نہیں کیا کہ وہ مجھے ذلیل کرتے۔ تمام تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے جس نے مجھ سے محبت کی، حالانکہ وہ مجھ سے بالکل بے نیاز ہے۔ اے اللہ! میں تیرے حضور کوئی ایسا سفارشی نہیں پاتا سوائے اس کے کہ مجھے یقین ہے کہ بے قرار لوگ جس در پر جاتے ہیں وہ تُو ہی سب سے بہتر ہے۔ میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں اور اس بات کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں کہ یقیناً تیرے ہی پاس فضل ہے، اور قوت ہے، اور طاقت ہے، اور قدرت ہے۔ پس تو میرے ان گناہوں کا بوجھ ہٹا دے جنہوں نے میری کمر توڑ دی ہے، اور مجھے اس خواہشِ نفس سے بچا جس نے میری عقل پر غلبہ پا لیا ہے، اور مجھے ان لوگوں میں شامل فرما جنہیں تو نے اپنی اطاعت کے لئے چُن لیا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
Syed Ibne Baqi has reported from Iqbal Al-Amaal to recite dua Allaahumma Inna Rahmateka on the 14th day of Mahe Ramazan.
سید ابن بقی نے کتاب اقبال الاعمال میں روایت کی ہے کہ ۱۴؍ماہِ رمضان کے دن میں دُعا اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ پڑھے۔
