Bounties of Allahنعمت خدا

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Praise is for Allah who is the foremost to the praised and the one who deserved to be obeyed till the end. Who is the nearest of all that exists, the Originator, whose eternity has no known beginning and whose firstness has no end, Who existed before existence without a body, Who is present in every place without being seen, and Who is near to every secret converse without coming close. The unseen things are manifest before Him, and hearts are lost in His greatness. Neither eyes can know His heights nor the heart due to His imperceptibility deny His recognition. He is pictured in the hearts without any likeness that imaginations could delimit or intellects could grasp.

اس خدا کی حمد جو سب سے پہلا قابل تعریف اور آخر تک قابل عبادت ہے، جو ہر موجود سے بہت قریب ہے، جس کی انتہا اس لئے نہیں معلوم کہ وہ ازلی ہے، اور اس کی اوّلیت کی کوئی حد نہیں جو ہستی سے پہلے تھا، لیکن محتاج ہست نہیں، جو ہر جگہ ہے، مگر مشاہدے میں نہیں، جو ہر محفل راز کے قریب ہے، لیکن نزدیک ہوئے بغیر، غیب اس کے لئے عیاں ہیں، اور دل اسکی عظمتوں میں گم ہیں، اب نہ آنکھیں اس کی بلندیوں کو معلوم کر سکتی ہیں، نہ دل اس کی پردہ داری کے باوجود اس کی معرفت سے انکار کر سکتے ہیں، وہ دلوں میں جلوہ نما ہے۔ مگر وہم اس کی مثال یا خیالات اس کا اندازہ نہیں کر سکتے،

Then He guarded His entity above any signs, vision and example and made His Uniqueness as a miracle of Lord. And made the coming generation as proof of His Creation and Power, then He created (human) from a drop, although there was nothing before it. This is a proof that after destruction He will again create as He had created first.

پھر اس نے اپنی ذات کو اپنی ضد و نظیر، شکل و مثل سے بلند رکھنے کی رہنمائی فرمائی، اور اپنی یکتائی کو پروردگاری کی آیت قرار دیا، اور آنے والی مخلوق کو اپنی خالقیت و قدرت کا ثبوت بنایا پھر (انسانوں) کو ایک قطرے سے پیدا کیا حالاں کہ اس سے پہلے کچھ نہ تھے، یہ اس بات کی دلیل ہے کہ وہ فنا کے بعد پھر ایک نئی تخلیق میں واپس کرے گا جس طرح انہیں پیدا کیا تھا۔

Praise is for Allah Lord of the worlds who is not harmed by the disobedience of the arrogant, and the worshippers do not benefit Him by their obedience. For rebellions He is forbearing and He overlooks the one who ascribes a partner to Him. He is forever powerful without any limit. He will in His kingdom remain after the end of eternity. He is Unique without a similarity and is independent. He has no equal and He is pure of any children He made the skies without any support or pillars, moved the clouds without any binding. He is a caretaker of infinite creations. He is Allah the unique Who neither begets nor is He begotten and there is none like unto Him.

اس پروردگار عالم کی حمد جسے خود سر اپنی نافرمانی سے نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتے، اور عبادت گزار اپنی عبادتوں سے فائدہ نہیں دیتے۔ وہ مدعی سرکشوں کے لئے بردبار اور اس کے ملکوت میں شریک بنانے اور خیال کرنے والوں کو نظر انداز کرنے والا ہے۔ وہ اپنی توانائی میں پابندِ مدّت کے بغیر دائم ہے، وہ اپنے ملک میں ابد کے خاتمے کے بعد بھی باقی رہنے والا ہے، وہ یکتا اور بے مثال و بے نیاز ہے، وہ ہمسر و اولاد سے پاک ہے، اس نے آسمان بنایا اور بے سہارے اور ستون کے، بادلوں کو بغیر کسی بندش کے رواں دواں کیا، وہ لا تعداد خلقت کا نگہبان ہے، وہ اللہ تو واحد و یکتا ہے جو نہ خود کسی سے پیدا ہوا، نہ کوئی اس کا فرزند ہے، نہ اس کا کوئی مقابل۔

And praise be to Allah, from whose grace not even those who persist in disobeying Him are left out and whose smallest obligation can never be compensated by the biggest of the Worshippers. He is so needless that He is not stingy to sustain even those who deny His existence and sustaining the entire Universe does not decrease His bounties. Creator of the universe and the One to destroy it and the one to resurrect it again, manifest it and to recompense for their deeds. He is aware of everything concealed in the Hearts and whatever is conveyed through tongues. He is aware of all the things which is destroyed by the earth.

اور اس اللہ کی حمد جس کے احسان سے مستقل سیہ کاریاں کرنے والے بھی خالی ہاتھ نہیں جاتے، اور جس کے چھوٹے سے چھوٹے انعام کا بڑے سے بڑے اطاعت کرنے والے بھی حق ادا نہیں کر سکتے، وہ بے نیاز جو اپنے منکروں سے بھی روزی میں بخل نہیں فرماتا، جس کے انعام کو اتنی بڑی دنیا کو روزی دینا بھی کم نہیں کر سکتا، دنیا کا خالق بھی ہے اور فنا کرنے والا بھی، اسے دوبارہ پیدا کرنے والا ہے اور ظاہر بھی کرے گا۔ جو کچھ دلوں نے چھپایا اور جو کچھ سینوں نے پوشیدہ رکھا، انہیں خوب جانتا ہے۔ جو زبانوں پر آیا اس سے بھی آگاہ، جو زمینوں نے مٹایا اس سے بھی با خبر۔

He is alive and has no death, such a creator who does not sleep and will continue to exist without being extinct. He is Just who does not oppress. He forgives the great sins by His grace. If He chastise then it is with justice. He does not fear that anything will escape Him, so He is forbearing; and He knows (His creatures') need of Him, so He is merciful. He has mentioned in His everlasting and firm book "And were Allah to punish men for what they earn, He would not leave on the back of it any creature, but He respites them till an appointed term; so when their doom shall come, then surely Allah is seeing with respect to His servants." (35:45)

ایسا زندہ جسے موت نہیں، ایسا خالق جو سوتا نہیں، اور وہ برقرار رہنے والا، جسے زوال نہیں، وہ عادل جو ستم نہیں کرتا، وہ گناہان کبیرہ کو اپنے فضل سے معاف کرتا ہے، اور اگر عذاب کرتا ہے تو انصاف کے مطابق، وہ کسی چیز کے ہاتھ سے نکل جانے کے خوف سے پریشان نہیں، وہ جانتا ہے کہ (مخلوق) اس کی محتاج ہے، اس لیے رحم کرتا ہے، اس نے تو اپنی کتابِ محکم میں فرمایا ہے کہ: اگر اللہ لوگوں کے کرتوتوں کا جواب طلب کرتا تو پھر روئے زمین پر کوئی چلنے والا باقی نہ رہتا۔

I praise Him with a praise by which I seek an increase in His bounties. And I seek refuge from His wrath. And I seek nearness to Him by affirming His Prophet, the Chosen One. That messenger whom He chose for revelation and for His Prophethood that Prophet who is endowed with intercession and is responsible for his rights whose name is Mohammad peace be on him, on his progeny and on his companions and on all the Prophets and the Messengers and all the Angels. May Allah protect them completely.

میں اس کی ایسی حمد کرنا چاہتا ہوں جو اس کی نعمتوں کے لئے زیادتی کی درخواست بن سکے، اور میں اس کے غضب سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں، اور اس کے نبی محمد مصطفٰیؐ کی تصدیق کرتا ہوں تا کہ اس سے قربت نصیب ہو، وہ نبی جسے اس نے اپنی وحی کے لئے چنا، اور رسالت کے لئے پسند فرمایا، وہ نبی جو حق شفاعت سے سرفراز، اور اس کے حق کا ذمےدار ہے، جس کا نام نامی محمدؐ ہے، اس پر اس کی اولاد و اصحاب ابرار پر اللہ کی رحمتیں بل کہ تمام انبیاء و مرسلین اور تمام فرشتوں پر بھی، خدا ان پر مکمل سلامتیاں نازل فرمائے۔

O Allah! Hopes are destroyed, times have changed, the tongues have lied and promises are wrong only your promise is a promise and You have said that You will forgive and grace us. O Allah! Send blessings on Mohammad and his progeny, give me from Your grace, grant me refuge from the accursed Satan. You are pure, we praise You. How great, exalted and honoured are You. Your forbearance also covers the arrogants. Your bounties have flooded the thanks of the thanks giver. Your forbearance is more than what the evaluators evaluate. Your bounty is above all those who praise You.

یا اللہ! اُمیدیں مٹ گئیں، حالات بدل گئے، زبانیں جھوٹی اور وعدے غلط نکلے، صرف تیرا ہی وعدہ، وعدہ ہے، اور تو نے فرمایا ہے کہ تو بخشے گا بھی اور فضل بھی کرے گا۔ یا اللہ! محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر صلوات بھیج اور مجھے اپنے فضل سے عطا فرما، مجھے شیطان ملعون سے پناہ دے۔ تو پاک ہے، ہم تیری حمد کرتے ہیں، تو کس قدر عظیم ہے۔ تو کس قدر بلند ہے، تو کس قدر مکرم ہے، تیری بردباری تکبر پسند لوگوں پر بھی چھائی ہوئی ہے۔ تیری نعمتیں شُکر گزاروں کے شکریوں پر غالب ہیں، اندازہ لگا نے والوں کے اندازے سے تیرا حلم زیادہ ہے، تعریف کرنے والوں کی تعریف سے تیرا احسان بے حد عظیم ہے۔

Had Your grace not been there why then would Your mercy be on the people? Those whom You created with a drop when they were nothing, then You sustained them by Your pure sustenance and by Your continuous bounties You made them reach great heights. You made them owners of Your lands and You called them towards Your obedience, but they were ungrateful to Your bounties, they denied Your existence, in Your kingdom they bowed down before others (instead of You). What had happened if Your endurance had not given me an opportunity (to repent) although before it (opportunity) You had concealed it in the veils, honoured it with Your recognition gave power to the tongue to offer thanks to You, made a landmark for Your obedience. You made the way of Your miracles easy for me. You placed the way of achieving nearness (to you) in front of me.

اگر تیرا فضل نہ ہوتا تو ان لوگوں پر رحم کیوں کرتا، جنہیں تو نے ایک قطرے سے پیدا کیا، اور جب وہ نا چیز تھے تو تونے اپنی پاکیزہ روزی سے ان کو پالا، پھر انہیں اپنی لگا تار نعمتوں میں پروان چڑھایا، انہیں اپنی زمین کے فرش پر بااختیار کیا، اور اپنی فرمانبرداری کی طرف بلایا، مگر انہوں نے تیرے ہی احسانات سے نا فرمانی کی قوت فراہم کی، تیرا ہی انکار کیا، تیری سلطنت میں تیرے غیر کے لئے سر جھکایا، کیا ہوتا؟ اگر تیری چشم پوشی نے مجھے (توبہ کرنے کی) مہلت نہ دی ہوتی، حالاں کہ اس (مہلت) سے پہلے اپنے پردوں میں ڈھانپ لیا تھا، اپنی معرفت سے عزت بخشی، اپنے شکر کے لئے زبان کو روانی دی، اپنی اطاعت کے راستے کی نشان دہی فرمائی، اپنی کرامت کے راستوں کو میرے لئے ہموار کیا، اپنی قربت کی راہ میرے سامنے رکھ دی۔

And Your recompense from me was that I repaid Your benevolence with evil, being eager for that which angers You, making light of that for which I deserve more of Your wrath, being swift toward that which is far from Your pleasure, being delighted by the illusions of hope, turning away from the warnings of fate; Your forbearance did not restrain me, while Your promise to take away my strength had reached me, until I called upon You despite the enormity of my sin, seeking more of Your blessings while not being prepared for the looming of Your wrath, being slow to seek more of Your bounty and being discontented with Your easy sustenance, demanding Your rewards with the deeds of the wicked, like one who awaits Your mercy with the deeds of the righteous, eagerly wishing great things from You like one who is confident and secure from the retribution for crimes; indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return; a calamity whose loss is immense and whose punishment is great.

مگر تیری ان باتوں کا عوض میری طرف سے یہ ہوا کہ نیکی کے بدلے بدی کی، جن باتوں سے تو ناراض ہو انہیں باتوں کو انجام دیا، تیرے زیادہ عذاب کو جس کا میں واقعی مستحق ہوں کم سمجھتا ہوں تیری رضا مندیوں سے جو منزلیں دور ہیں اس کی طرف دوڑتا ہوں، اپنی امیدوں کے فریب میں مبتلا، موت کی تنبیہوں سے روگردان، تیری ان بربادیوں سے بے فکر جو میرے ساتھ روا ہیں، حالاں کہ تیرا وعدہ مجھ تک پہنچ چکا ہے، کہ تو میری قوت و قدرت کے ذریعے عمر بھر مجھ سے عمل چاہے گا۔ اب یہ عالم ہے کہ بڑی سے بڑی خطا کے بعد تجھے پکار رہا ہوں کہ اپنی ان نعمتوں میں اضافہ فرما جو میری طرف آنے والی (کہ میں حقدار) نہیں بل کہ تیرا عذاب سر پر ہے, مگر تیری فراوانی کرم پر سُست ہوں، تیرے تھوڑے رزق پر ناراض ہوں، تیرے انعامات پر بد کاریوں کے باوجود قبضہ کر رکھا ہے گویا نیک عمل لوگوں کا سا عمل کر کے تیری رحمت کا منتظر و کوشاں ہوں، تیری بارگاہ میں بڑی بڑی تمنائیں یوں پیش کر رہا ہوں، جیسے تجھ پر ناز اور جرموں کی سزا سے مطمئن ہوں۔ انا للہ وانا الیہ راجعون: یہ وہ مصیبت ہے جو بڑی غم انگیز اور سخت سزا کے لائق ہے۔

On the contrary I think that what would have happened if I had not had hopes and if the promise of forgiving my sins were not there. I am confident of Your forgiveness although I have committed greater sins openly. I hid myself from all Your creatures little realizing about Your presence. My Lord! How shall I face You? And how shall I beseech You? After accepting the covenant I have done breach of trust. I have made you my sponsor and security but still showed excessiveness in doing sins. Inspite of all this You called me. I was dependent on You still I did not answer You. Oh what a calamity and how a shameful display of immoral behaviour. Alas! What a courage that I have deceived myself.

بلکہ میں تو سوچتا ہوں کہ اگر میری امیدیں نہ ہو تیں اور میری غلطیوں سے درگذر کا وعدہ نہ ہوتا تو کیا ہوتا، اب میں تیری نظر اندازی کا متمنّی ہوں، حالانکہ کھلم کھلا گناہانِ کبیرہ بجا لا چکا ہوں، تیری چھوٹی سے چھوٹی مخلوق سے چھپا مگر یہ نہ سوچا کہ تو میرے ساتھ ہے۔ تیری پردہ پوشی کا ذرّہ بھر بھی خیال نہ رکھا، میرے معبود کس منہ سے تیرے سامنے حاضر ہوں؟ اور کس زبان سے مناجات کروں؟ میں نے تو تجدید عہد کے بعد پیمان شکنی، اور وعدہ خلافی کی ہے، تجھے اپنا کفیل و ضامن بنایا، پھر بھی خطاکاریوں میں دلیری دکھائی، اس کے باوجود تو نے مجھے بلایا، تونے مجھے پکارا، میں تیرا محتاج تھا پھر بھی جواب نہ دیا، ہائے کتنا غضب کیا، اور کس قدر بدکرداری کا مظاہرہ کیا، افسوس کتنی جرات کی اور اپنے ساتھ کتنا بڑا فریب کیا۔

But You are pure and great. Now I wish to come near You. And I give You the oath of Your right that I have come to take refuge from Your wrath. Due to my own disobedience I have become liable for Your chastisement. You have not done injustice on me due to my ignorance I was deceived not because of Your tolerance. I have lost my right. Your right is intact I have oppressed myself. Now my hopes are on You, my confidence is on You, my faith is on You and in Your presence I humbly submit my repentance and helplessness thus have mercy on my condition. With complete movement in my faith, and head bowed in shame I present myself. I am troubled at the grief of my sins. Surely You are the most merciful of all the mercifuls. O the most attentive listener among those who is called. O the best of the place of wish. O the best of the forgiver among all the other forgivers. O the One to be near to the one who complaints. I am calling upon You. I complain to you and this complain is of the one who has complained to the world and has lost all hopes. Now You have grace and mercy on my weakness. By Your vast mercy forgive my great sins and give me the strength to ponder over my inner self. Surely you are the great bestower among all those who bestows. There is no lord other than You. You are pure and great and I am a tyrant and disobedient. O Allah! O Unique! O Allah! O self-dependant. O the One who is neither created by anyone nor begets anyone nor had an equal.

مگر تو پاک و بلند ہے، اب تجھ سے قریب ہونا چاہتا ہوں، اور تجھے تیرے حق کی قسم دیتا ہوں کہ تیرے غضب سے تیری بارگاہ میں پناہ لینے آیا ہوں، اپنی خطاؤں سے خود ہی تیرے عذاب کا مستحق ہوا ہوں تونے کوئی زیادتی نہیں فرمائی، میں نے تو اپنے ہی جہل سے دھوکہ کھایا تیرے حلم سے نہیں، اپنا ہی حق کھویا، تیرا حق برقرار ہے، اور میں نے تو خود اپنے ہی اوپر ظلم کیا، اب تو تجھی سے امید ہے، تیرے ہی اوپر یقین ہے، تجھی پر بھروسہ ہے، اور تیری ہی بارگاہ میں توبہ و عاجزی ہے، لہذا اپنی بارگاہ میں میری اس احتیاج و عاجزی پر رحم فرما۔ میں پوری حرارتِ ایمان سے تیرے سامنے سر جھکائے ہوے ہوں، اپنے گناہوں کی حسرتوں پر حیران ہوں، یقینًا تو ارحم الراحمین ہے۔ اے پکارے جانے والوں میں سب سے زیادہ سننے والے، اور اے سب سے اچھے مرکز امید، اے نظر انداز کرنے والوں میں سب سے زیادہ بردبار، اے فریادیوں کے قریب تر ہونے والے، میں تجھے پکار رہا ہوں، تجھ سے فریاد کر رہا ہوں، اور یہ فریاد اس حیران کی سی ہے جو دنیا سے فریاد کر کے مایوس ہو جائے، اب تو ہی میری کمزوری پر لطف و کرم کی نظر ڈال، اپنی وسیع رحمتوں سے میرے بڑے گناہوں کو بخش دے، مجھے اپنی الٰہی صنعت آفرینی (پر غور کرنے کی قوت) عطا فرما، بے شک تو عطا کرنے والوں میں سب سے بڑا صاحبِ اختیار ہے، تیرے علاوہ کوئی اللہ نہیں، تو پاک و بلند ہے اور میں ظالم و بدکار ہوں۔ یا اللہ! اے یگانہ و یکتا، یا اللہ! اے بے نیاز، اے وہ ذات جو نہ کسی کی مخلوق ہے نہ کوئی اس کا فرزند اور نہ اس کا کوئی ہمسر ہے۔

O Lord the journey has tired me, the distant people have pushed me, friends have frightened me, and when no hope is left, You are the ultimate hope. When calamities overpower us You are the only supporter. In difficulties and ease You are the only way to salvation. Thus avert the sorrow from the one whose hopelessness, when ponders on the sins, loses hope of salvation. O Lord! By Your mercy don't make him disappointed as You are the most merciful of all the mercifuls.

خدایا! راستوں نے تھکا دیا ہے، دور والوں نے ڈھکیل دیا ہے، عزیزوں نے گھبرا دیا ہے، اور جب کوئی امید نہ رہے تو تو ہی امید ہے، جب بلائیں سختی اختیار کر لیں تو تو ہی مدد گار ہے۔ مشکلوں اور آسانیوں میں تو ہی پناہ ہے، اس لئے اس شخص کے غم کو دور کر دے جس کی مایوسی جب برائیوں کا خیال کرتی ہے تو وہ بخشش سے نا امید ہو جاتا ہے۔ معبود! تو اسے اپنی رحمت کے صدقے میں مایوس نہ فرما، کیونکہ تو ارحم الراحمین ہے۔

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
